I understand mistakes are made, but enterprise made calculated errors today. I called a local enterprise for a car because my truck was being serviced, so there reservation's desk booked a car fir me. After being pleasantly uberred to the location, I was told that they had overbooked 50 reservations and there would not be a car available. I was both angry and frustrated because I could have made other arrangements. Then, two separate parties entered this location, and I heard the employees dance their way through a couple of more excuses. When my second Uber came to take me to another location, three stranded groups where waiting for vehicles. Enterprise has always been convenient, but I did not like how they treated customers today. But, the other location had better customer service and cars. In retrospect, enterprise needs to change their system if they plan on retaining customers. read more

Great experience with the staff here while going through an insurance claim where I spent a month in a rental. When the pricing came out to be cheaper at a competitor, Dexter matched it before I could even choose between the two. I usually rent from Enterprise because of the great customer service. This visit was no exception. The clerk was friendly and explained the documents before we did the initial walk-through together. They also gave me a free upgrade (I'm guessing they were out of compact cars) to an extremely cute car, a Hyundai Veloster. I had a good time trying the car out, although ultimately it was a bit disappointing. The car is one of those automatics that also has a sport mode where you can shift manually using switches on the steering wheel. I usually drive a stick, so I was interested to see how that worked. Unfortunately, despite the sporty look, the Veloster just didn't have much get up and go. It was smoother to drive in sport mode, but in automatic mode it was extremely sluggish -- I couldn't accelerate quickly. Not sure if that was just the car or if it needed maintenance. In any case, the rental process was easy (I booked online), and the rates were very inexpensive. I drove all over the hill country in style. Would definitely come back here. read more

I rented a car here, about 5 or 6 weeks ago and the Associates were terrific. The 1st day they gave me a Mitsubishi (it was all they had) but let me come by the next day and put me in a MUCH nicer Hyundai Sonata that was loaded and had great gas milage. Great customer service, both associates I worked with were very polite and even gave me a ride to my car. I have used this Enterprise several times over the years. Each experience was an uncomfortable one. My advice, don't expect a clean car. If you return the car in good shape and the walk-through after returning the car is accepted by Enterprise, this location will contact you days later telling you that you damaged the car then seek damages. This seems to be a punishment for not buying their insurance. They instead pursue damages from your insurance company. Be extremely careful when renting from this location. read more

I haven't rented a car in over a decade, and I decided to rent one for the Christmas weekend. This location is closest to my home, so it was an easy choice. I called and reserved my car on Dec 21 for pick up on Dec 23, and since I don't have a major credit card, they told me to bring in my latest utility bill and pay stub. I also arranged for them to pick me up since I didn't have another ride. DELAY WITH PICK UP: I was originally told to call 30 minutes before I needed to be picked up, but when I called, they told me it would be a 2 hour wait due to the massive number of reservations for the holiday and so many people needing rides. I will say I was very disappointed in this, as they HAD to have known they'd be busy with holiday reservations and could have at least mentioned this possibility ahead of time. I elected instead to take a cab, which at today's prices ran me just over $10 for a 4 mile ride. PAYING WITH A DEBIT CARD: When I got there, they were definitely busy, but I didn't have to wait too long, and they showed me the cars available in my reservation class so I could choose the one I preferred. What they did NOT tell me was that because I was using a debit card (with utility & pay stub as requested), there would be a $250 hold on my card until I turned in the car. Fortunately, I was prepared for up to a $500 hold, but I still wish they had mentioned this when I reserved the car. They also will not accept a utility bill that shows any past due balance, which was fine since mine was current, but again, I wish they had mentioned this when I made the reservation. I would have been terribly upset had I paid for a cab only to be turned down due to lack of $250 in available funds or an overdue utility bill that I'd not been warned about ahead of time. They also did not tell me to bring a copy of my auto insurance. This is probably something I should have known or thought about, but since it's been so long since I rented a car, and my insurance stays in my glove compartment, it didn't occur to me. Fortunately, Geico has an automated fax feature, so it was faxed over at my request within seconds. APPEARANCE/PERFORMANCE OF CAR: The car they gave me was a clean, practically new (only 2500 miles on it) Dodge Avenger, and it was perfect for all the driving I did over the weekend. It was a very cold/rainy weekend, and the car handled perfectly on the slick streets. It was a mid-size car, with plenty of room, yet still fit perfectly in the tight parking spaces of the garage at the hospital where I was visiting family. DISCOUNT: On the morning that I was supposed to return the car at noon, I called to see if it would be a problem to return it just before end of business instead. They advised me it would result in a charge for an additional day, and I could keep it until the following day at noon. I told them I didn't mind the extra charge, but would be returning it before 6, as I'd have my own car back the next morning. When I went to return the car, they did not charge me for the additional time, even though I pointed it out to the guy who was finalizing the paperwork. Because I've never rented from them before, I was pleasantly surprised that they were willing to waive the extra fee. Five minutes later, I was being driven home by one of their employees. All in all, it was a good experience. I do still wish they'd been more helpful in explaining every detail prior to my renting the car, especially as I told them I was completely unfamiliar with the process, but aside from the original pick-up delay, none of it negatively affected me. Now that I know the process well, and especially since they were so accommodating with the extra time for free, I would definitely rent from them again. read more

The Manager at this location, Song Ciofi, went above and beyond for us this holiday season. I usually go to the Pflugerville location on FM 685, but we needed this car on a Sunday, so found ourselves using the Pecan St. W location instead. I had reserved a standard SUV in October (!!) for December 22nd. Thought we'd be good to go. Nope. At noon, the starting time of my reservation, they could only offer me a huge pickup truck or a Dodge Charger. Ummm. No. Unacceptable. Enter Song, the Branch Manager. She was on the case and I could tell she was taking ownership of the problem from the first time she spoke to me on the phone. I told her I preferred the type and size of car we reserved (that's what reserved means, right?? Was thinking of the Seinfeld episode about TAKING vs. HOLDING the reservations), even if it was later than planned. She ended up getting one from San Marcos (!) and having someone go there to get it and bring it back for me. She stayed past the 3:00 closing time on this Sunday to get me into this car, and did so with no hassles on my end (beyond the first one). It was quick and easy to get in and out of the branch. All that said, I do believe Enterprise needs to stop taking quite so many reservations if they can't keep the promises they're making. It's like the airlines overbooking and being unable to follow through on promises made. That part is super annoying, and it needs to stop. Given the circumstances she was given, though, Song came through for us and delivered on impossible promises made by her company. I appreciate that customer service, especially during the holidays. So, the 5-star review is for this manager. Enterprises always has the cleanest, nicest cars, but a reservation should mean that the car is RESERVED for you and that you'll have one when promised. If that's getting harder to deliver on at the holidays, they need to stop taking so many reservations and stop saying certain cars are available to reserve when they will likely be unavailable. read more

I will agree the people here are nice but not very well organized, being nice only gets you so far. We had an appt with the body shop and Enterprise this morning; while finishing up with the body shop, Enterprise was called to let them know to come get us and someone else. After some time had passed, we were wondering what the hold up was and were told they picked up the other person and left! The body shop told them there were two customers and I guess for some reason they couldn't count or bother with confirming with the body shop if anyone else needed a ride. Once here, there were no cars to rent, again we had a reservation to get a full size car. We've waited an hour and still no car, so I resort to sitting outside with my baby because she was getting tired, hungry and cranky and I was stuck. After an hour, our compact Ford Focus came in, boy that thing is tiny. We barely had room for the stroller and not much else. So not only were we forgotten about, made to wait for longer than usual because they had no cars, we were downgraded to a smaller car. Oh joy, I wonder what else to expect... Just be prepared that with Enterprise, you will most likely wait, be stuck in an inferior model that you were set up for. I don't know what it is with this company, I always have problems with them. Be sure to always triple check your car for dents or scratches, they will charge you for damages if you miss something. I think what pissed me off was being left, then waiting for a very long time and not even getting a car in the same class as I was set up for. We originally called to make our reservations using the 1-800# over the weekend, but the information that the 1-800 agent gave us did not seem right so I followed up by calling this location that Monday morning. The service that Jordan provided was stellar. She was personable, knowledgeable, and most of all extremely professional. I shared with her the details of our road trip and expressed to her my concerns and she reserved the best car for us based on that information. When we arrived to pick up our vehicle everyone was pleasant and extremely helpful, and we had the same experience when we returned it. Considering a good percentage of rental car users usually are the result of an accident, it's kind of BS to just turn them down based on the shop the customer is using. I called Enterprise, explained that I was using D-Town Body Shop and was told they didn't pick up from there. I asked if I could still rent a car if I could get a ride from the shop to the Enterprise location, as my husband is in the area that day. The Enterprise staff told me no, and explained that they had a policy against renting to D-Town customers. I told her that that was weird because D-Town specifically told me to call them prior to dropping my car off and wrote down their number on my paperwork and the woman started laughing at me. Seriously, just cackled away. OK, so how would you feel if you were in a wreck and you used a body shop you've used before, and you were stressed because of everything that goes into having a wreck and you get LAUGHED at when trying to discuss a situation and get turned down? She claimed it had something to do with the length of time it takes D-Town to fix cars. So I called USAA, the insurance of the guy that caused the wreck, and they told me they work through Enterprise and have NEVER heard of anything like this, so the representative 3-way called Enterprise, who then told her NO Enterprise in the area would rent to me if I used the shop. Now, I can't drop off my car at the scheduled time and have to wait until USAA investigates the matter and gives me a solution. I am not going to a different shop and I will not be recommending Enterprise to friends or family, this is just ridiculous and the Enterprise personnel we spoke with were rude and totally unprofessional. I seriously hope they wreck and get turned down for a rental or get put through the ringer while stressed out over their damages. I have been in car wrecks before where the shop took longer or my car ended up being totaled and guess what? When that happens, the insurance company stops paying and the car gets returned when it's supposed to. Wow. Such a novel concept. read more

The customer service is a amazing here! They make sure to acknowledge every customer when you walk in and when you leave. I was even surprised to get updates from one of the agents while I was waiting for my ride. That's another thing--they have no issues picking you up or dropping you off. My daughters and I rented "a Buick" to travel to New Orleans. We instantly fell in love with the Buick. The first thing my daughters said when I picked it up was "that's not a Buick" in their best Buick commercial voice. I did most of the paperwork on line and it took no time to get the rental done. Would not recommend this location to anyone! We are first time renters, so a bad experience at Enterprise will make me not want to go to ANY Enterprise. My husband called before we came by and talked to someone, got a quote and said he would be in later that day. As we arrived, we realized whoever he talked to on the phone did not care to figure out how we were gonna pay, and to make sure we were bringing in the correct things. I was gonna pay for it through my debit card, but they said it has to be under his name if it is a debit card if he wants to be the primary driver. (Mind you, he did need it for work since his truck broke down. I didn't need to drive the car.) They also failed to tell him on the phone that he needed proof of insurance and a utility bill for proof of residence. So we had to go back to the house and get those items. Fortunately we live a walk away from this location but if we didn't, this would have been even more hell for us. We came back and they ran everything thru, and gave us a nice clean car (plus!) to drive. Our deal was to use it until that following Saturday. They didn't bother to tell us that they close EARLY on Saturday (Noon). So my husband goes back to return the car on Saturday at around 2 and learns that they are closed! So nice for them NOT to warn us! They are also closed on Sunday so we had to keep the car until Monday. We brought it back that Monday and they still tried charging us for the Sunday after we tried returning the car. My husband explained to them how he brought it back on Saturday and they were closed. They didn't give a crap and still wanted to charge us. The girl said, "Well it's on this paper, right here." Okay then... My husband just let them charge the card and we went home that day and called customer service and filed a complaint. We are still waiting for the Regional Manager to contact us, but hopefully something will be done about this. The employees and managers here are rude, impolite, and never ONCE apologized. I was in a wreck and the place fixing my car had trouble with part quality and vendor scheduling. This meant that I had to * turn the car in while away on business and get it back a few days later * continually call Enterprise and ask for an extension The folks at Enterprise in Pflugerville were more than easy to deal with. I called three times to extend the rental. In all three cases it took less than a minute on the phone, except the last time where the agent took a moment to ensure I would get the discount weekly rate. At the end of the rental, I simply dropped the car off at the body shop. No need to bug friends or family. Enterprise just came and got it while I drove off in my beloved Volvo. We will most certainly be using Enterprise again when we have rental needs. ---- As an aside: This summer we had our other car fail catastrophically on the road. Stuck in Topeka on our way to North Dakota it was really stressful. Well, except for the Enterprise part. I have always had great customer service with them, from the rides to and from home, to the quality of the car rentals, to any issues with roadside assistance, to working around my schedules, great rates, and great representatives. I moved to another state ,but upon my visit back to Round Rock ,this was once again the Enterprise location for me . I ended up needing a rental car due to being in a car accident back in November. The repairs ended up taking four (count-em' 4) months, and Enterprise in Pflugerville was terrific throughout the whole ordeal. Even when the insurance company was refusing to pay for the charges after the first month, Enterprise tried to work things out with me. They called the local Firestone to get me in for an oil change so I didn't have to wait too long (since it was due while I had the car). I've always preferred Enterprise for car rentals, but this experience has solidified my opinion - especially at this branch. read more

I have done business with this site for quite a few years now. The staff has less than average customer service (I had to gag when I was looking at one of their posters that states Enterprise takes care of their customers - oh, NO THEY DON'T) The staff is rude and always look like they hate working there; you can tell they really don't like what they do. There is no consistency as to rates and how to charge per day (especially with repeat customers like myself). The staff does not look at your rental history when there is a problem to see what they can do to fix the problem. Calling for a reservation in advance? Forget it. I had a long awaited reservation and when I got there, I was told there were no cars; fortunately, there was one that came in when I was there. The staff does NOT LISTEN nor do they comply to your request when it comes to closing out the ticket. I used a Mastercard to secure the reservation, but when it came time to paying for the rental and close out the ticket, I presented another card for them to use. I have done this in the past with no problem..just this time, the represenatative was quick to get me out of there and he did not comply with my request-when I pointed out what he did, he told me there was nothing he could do. He said their branch manager was the only one who could make the necessary changes. In his words, he did not have the "power" to do it. I made a comment to the rep about them not wanting me to come back and I will be glad to comply..he then started to chastise me in front of customers and I called to his attention to stop chastising me in front of everyone. The staff does not care to ask if you need a ride - uh, uh. The could care less if you have to crawl to or from their location. NO, THEY DO NOT ASK IF YOU NEED A RIDE TO YOUR LOCATION AFTER YOU DROP OFF A CAR...THEY DON'T ASK, THEY DON'T ASK...THEY SIMPLY DON'T Oh, and the location - come on Enterprise...you can afford to have a location that is not congested with cars and situated right next to an auto repair shop..you might think it's strategic planning, but it's poor planning - people have no where to park and it is crowded beyond belief - especially Mondays and Fridays. Oh, and the check-out is such a joke - you are asked (and of course, with a smile after the lousy treatment) "have I provided you with excellent customer service?" The only reason they probably ask this is because of any follow-up calls they state you may receive- big laugh..after all these years, I have yet to receive a phone call. Customers -- think twice about renting from this location. I'm not sure if this location represents how all Enterprise staff treat customers, but stay clear of this location. However, If you want to be treated in a highly unprofessional manner, feel like cattle being herded in and out of the building, not receive a smile or a true "thank you" that you know comes from the spirit of the company, then rent away...but for my hard earned money, my time and inconvenience, I deserve better and will go somewhere else. I have very high standards for customer service because the business that I am in demands that we constantly exceed customer expectations - and Enterprise falls way below the negative...way below. And Enterprise - remember something - without us customers, you don't have a business. read more
