I never have an issue here. The staff is professional the times I've been here. We've been a AAA roadside premium member for years and everyone in the fam has a gold card. They offer a ton of discounts for various services, insurance and collaborative partners. They also help do passport expedition. I made an appointment to do dmv stuff like licensing for real ID and passport stuff. Glad they down the street and have a parking lot. Get some froyo next door if you have a wait. read more

As a AAA member I decided to go here before going to the antiquated RMV. My mom and I were greated by Selina Hernandez, who went above and beyond to help us get all our paperwork that would be needed to get a transfer of title. We needed a notarized correction which was also available here, for FREE, as a member. We would never have received all these corrections, explanations, or results from the RMV, but Selina had us armed and ready to go! After waiting for 1hr and 40mins at the RMV, I was able to get my new plates and the transfer of title. Had a flat tire. Put in a service request at 1:35p. I received an arrival time by 2:35p. 2:20p a receive a call from the driver who tells me he will be there by 2:22p. 2:40 I called, and AAA told me that my driver was rerouted. Another driver will be dispatched and will be there within a 1/2 hour. 3:15p comes and goes. 3:30 um told they do not have an eta. Was told I should find someplace to go. It is 5:03 now. Have not received one call or one update. It's in the low 30s, and my gas and power are running low. read more

I went in around 3pm on a Tuesday for a passport photo (no appointment required) and was done in about 10 mins or less. The staff was super nice, even taking the time to change where in the room my photo was being taken since there was a glare on the background that would mess with the photo requirements. It cost $10 and you get 2 photos printed right then and there. I had no problems using them for my passport renewal the next day. read more

The RMV... a place you only realize is one of the banes of your existence when you actually have to go. Thankfully, for AAA members, the process can be made a little less painful. Even better: they're open on Saturdays, so you while you still should dedicate a decent chunk of time, you won't have to leave work. and use PTO. Don't get me wrong, there will still be a wait. I arrived about 5-10 minutes before opening and there were already a short line of people waiting at the door. You check in through the standard process, they make sure all of your papers are in a row, and then you wait for registry services. I was there to transfer my plates and get a new title. Since I was fairly early, the wait wasn't too bad. When they told me I would also need to renew my registration, I asked if I could do that then and there. Officially, I would have had to get back in line (and this time, wait quite a bit longer), but they permitted me to go after the next person. Well, all my papers are in a row now, and I don't have to revisit them until my licence nears expiration. I will say this: it may be wise to have more than one window offering RMV services. With the amount of people who work 9-5's, it will certainly help with the wait. Either way, it helps that the people you'll be working with are polite! read more

I have been an AAA member for more than 10 years and this is my first time renewing my license here instead of going to RMV. Schedule my appointment 2 weeks in advance, they request you arrived 10 minutes before your appointment. Go through all my documents that are needed for real ID, once all set, they will send you to another agent to put information on the computer, copy documents if needed, take pictures, and pay for the fee. Everything is done within 10 minutes. Received my real ID in a week, exactly 7 days when they told me I will receive it in 2-3 weeks. read more

I'm sitting in AAA-Quincy right now. The staff here have gone out of their way to help my wife and I over the last few days to take care of a series of paperwork issues that we had let slide until way too close to our departure on an international trip. (My drivers license had expired and we both needed international licenses. There were some other complications too.) The staff worked as a team to get us signed up with AAA at a steep discount to the posted rates. Then they worked hard and patiently to help us with our paperwork and be ready for our trip. They we're kind, welcoming and helpful throughout! I am so grateful. meanwhile, I'm sitting here in a standby appointment to finish my drivers license stuff. I've had the privilege of hearing the staff supporting other folks as they come in with a mish-mash of paperwork. they do all of this patiently and kindly. They've also helped an elderly gentleman make hotel reservations, initially calling the hotel with him and subsequently helping him make reservations online. A series of many people have experienced this same support and help in dealing with a wide variety of RMV, travel, insurance, and international drivers permit matters. I suppose all that's lacking is privacy :-) AAA is alive and well as a supportive community organization. I am grateful to be reconnected to this wonderful organization. read more

I went to AAA in Quincy today for a Real ID. I thought I had all of the correct paperwork but was missing something. Lori Decker, who helped me, was extremely patient an accommodating and helped me to get what I needed so I could get my Real ID today and not have to reschedule. After working with Lori, I then met with Tracy Fernidad, who took my picture and finalized my Real ID. She was so pleasant, asked me how my day was going and was excellent and efficient. Honestly having this company as my insurance is a heavily unpleasant experience when dealing with being towed. I've dealt with multiple occasions with I requested road side assistance and had to wait a minimum of 3 hours to hopefully even get an update on the request. Then I am constantly told that I was high priority for a tow but never truly feel like a priority at all when dealing with towing with this company. Truly feels as if my monthly payments are going to waste because when I need service from this company I get unpleasant and less than mediocre service no matter the issue. To make matters worse they increased my insurance to still provide helpless service. Whether I am stuck on the side of the highway in the freezing cold or just a few minutes away from my towing location, thus meaning no matter the situation getting towed is a whole day process, with there being no real understanding that someone in stranded, even in some cases stuck in a bad area, this company seems to make little effort or urgency to aid you in your time of need. read more

This AAA office had been very helpful with questions, planning trips, buying tickets etc. Compared to other offices they seem much more patient and friendly. This is the new AAA location that I will now call for all of my needs. (Formally was using the Rockland store) If you are a AAA client you can use their website to get a AAA discount as well. And that is who i am looking for, she has been booking my trips well over 20 years now, since she had her own shop in plymouth mass! Could not find an atlas anywhere for my boss! We called everywhere in Quincy. Considering everyone has GPS now. But, we really need a local map with all the streets on the South Shore. Unfortunately, AAA didn't have one..I was about to give up and was walking to my car and an awesome employee came out and grabbed me and let me know they actually have the exact map I'm looking for right next door at the Tedeschi's!!! I had a great experience here. I came here to transfer my out-of-state title for a motorcycle. Trying to navigate the MA RMV requirements and set up an appointment through the state website was turning into a real nightmare, so I decided to book an appointment at the Quincy AAA and at least get the proof of insurance part done before my RMV appointment. Not only did I get a great deal on insurance, they also completed ALL of the paperwork for me, and explained to me the rest of the process. They recommended I drop the completed paperwork off at a specific location, and within a week, I had my received my registration and new plates. Saved me a few weeks easily. Shout out to Ms. Contrera who really went the extra mile for me. If anyone needs a great insurance agent, I highly recommend asking for her. read more

I had AAA tow my car a week ago. When the car came back from the repair shop it was dented, the bumper was scuffed and the cover over the Jack Port on the Bumper was missing. Triple A wants to give me $100 to buy a new bumper part...what Bull Shit. They did a horrible job. I told them specifically they needed to send someone who would know how to get an S-Series Mercedes out of park - the tow company that was sent (Sunset Towing) had no clue how to disengage the car from Park. The entire experience and the damage done to my car was unprofessional and amateurish. read more

I went in to renew my license. Unfortunately I needed a new photo and could not renew it online at the RMV site. The people in the Quincy AAA office were great! They greeted me and were very friendly. It took like 5 minutes to renew my license and I was done. They let me know about other services they offered there before I left. This is the worst agency for car insurance in the state of MA. They have made so many mistakes on my policy and caused me so much time and effort to resolve the most simplistic issues. They are not knowledgeable or thorough about their own car insurance products. I would NEVER recommend this office to anyone I know. I go into the office and they put me on the phone with an agent from my insurance company. What is the point of going into the office then? They made a major error on my policy and because the agent is not longer with them, I have to build up a case to prove that details were overlooked that will cost me thousands of dollars. Recently, I visited this office to transfer my vehicle registration. I was welcomed when I walked in by a very nice woman and then helped by the manager, Katie. I presented all my paperwork and as she began entering information into the system, there was problem with a certain piece of information. She explained and then proceeded to track down what she could do next by contacting others by phone. She sat on hold for a good 20 minutes or so, until she found out the correct resolution. She could've easily told me that she couldn't help me further and send me off to wait in line at the Registry. But, she didn't. She never gave up, she was too determined. Approximately 40-45 minutes later and many hold time minutes - she came through for me and I was on my way out the door. Too many places nowadays have younger "know-it-all's" that are too quick to point you in another direction because they're too lazy or would rather gossip about their weekend, etc. with their co-workers. But, not Katie, she is the true epitome of a Customer Service Professional. Not only did she do her job, she went above and beyond and involved another team member to make a call for her as well. Great job Katie!!! Keep the great work you're doing. I only hope that AAA recognizes Katie in some way. read more

We have been loyal AAA members for many years. So when we decided that we may need some help with travel instead of looking on-line we decided to give AAA a chance instead of going to Liberty Travel who had really helped us in the past. The first time we went to AAA we had Jackie help us with a trip to Paris. She seemed knowledgable and helpful but the hotel that she put us in was not only expensive but a real disaster! They gave us partial credit for the trip so we went back. This time we booked a trip to Disney, what could go wrong we thought this is one place that they know well. Another disaster CAUSED by the travel agent. Disney told us that because of how it was booked they could not set us up correctly in our rooms. As a result every time we charged anything or went anywhere on teh Disney property everything got screwed up. It took hours to straighten it out A real mess due entirely to the agent Turns out in both cases we would have been better off booking it ourselves on the Internet. Near use these people again for travel. read more

I went into the Quincy branch of AAA looking for some help with booking a Nova Scotia vacation. Could the AAA agents obtain a better deal than I could "negotiate"? I wanted to find out. I called the day before and asked to make an appointment. I was told come early and just walk in. I came in the next morning. I was introduced to someone who identified herself as a travel agent, she quickly and very nervously told me she only does Member Services and European vacations. Of course I was a member so this was a bit confusing... She said did I have the AAA travel books. "Yes", I replied. So she proceeded to take me to the other side of the office, whatever that meant. Another employee sat me down gave me a bus tour book and recommended a particular island. He didn't really know anything either and didn't offer any help with booking. The moral of this story is, make sure there is someone available and capable of helping you before you walk-in. The employees made it very clear that they were just there to hand out books. They didn't even suggest another AAA travel agent who might be more knowledgeable. The member handbook says AAA agents help with booking, this is not necessarily true. read more
