I needed a rental car while mine was getting repaired after a minor accident. They were extremely helpful. They picked me up from the repair shop, got me quickly in a rental and I was on my way. When it was time to return the rental vehicle, I was able to leave it at the repair shop and they picked it up. I got a follow-up call from an employee letting me know they got it and everything looked good. Each person I dealt with on the phone and in person was super kind, friendly and helpful. Where is the occasion that you can find someone that knows the condition of literally every car on the lot although this is a small town in a very small lot the fact that she seem to have personal knowledge of each car was wonderful. My car had to go in for repair, I booked a car and received the confirmation email. When I was about 2 minutes away I got a call to tell me there were no cars available. I live in a remote area with no public transport. I'm 67 years old and had to hitchhike home. I gave 2 stars because this place used to be great, but not anymore! read more

I reserved a car several days before our family road trip out of state. Was to pick up at 10am at this location. The evening before I got a call while I was at work stating they were having some issues and would try to get it all fixed by the morning. I called at 9am to make sure everything was set and was told they didn't have my vehicle. The closest one was in Escondido and I could add 2 hours to my trip to get it. I explained that wouldn't work and Pedro said he would call around and get back to me in half an hour. 45 minutes later they just didn't answer the phone when I tried to follow up (As I never got a call back). Got ahold of corporate who stated a manager would get back to me immediately. Mind you it was now 11 o'clock in the afternoon and we were supposed to be on the road an hour ahead of that. I finally searched around and Hertz said that they could get me the car that I needed for cheaper. When I showed up at their facility they did not have the car there either but immediately called around and had someone drive over the right car while I waited washed it and gave it to me within an hour. I understand things happen but telling a customer that you're going to call them back and you're going to figure out their mistake and not doing so? Unacceptable. I also still haven't gotten a refund on my deposit. And I never once got a call back. I highly suggest you go straight to Hertz or to another company as the business practices of this one are highly questionable. If they knew they didn't have the car at the facility that I was supposed to pick it up at the day before why didn't they have the one from Escondido driven down so that it would be ready when it was time for me to pick up my reserved car? I rented a car for a 3 day weekend. No issues. It was great. I'm renting now for another 4 day weekend and am waiting over 30 minutes after my appointment for a car. I was told it was out of her control because she expected multiple cars to be returned by my appointment time. Yet she didn't get on the phone till I got here. (Eye roll) read more

The ladies at the office are great. I cannot recall the her name but she was in contact with me through out the day. She picked me up from home and we had a great conversation on the way back to the office. I honestly thought it would be weird having someone pick me up but it is just like being in a cab with out the creepiness. The process was quick and painless. The insurance paid for the rental but their prices were fair especially with the unlimited miles in California. This particular location is small. Very small pay extra close attention on where to enter because there is only one and it is small. Now if the building is going to be on your right keep your eyes open after you pass the Arco gas station. Now if you are going to attempt a left turn your are out of your mind, there is no turn lane here and you will be blocking traffic or causing a major accident. the 67/Main street is crazy, don't risk it. read more

I rented a car to drive to a funeral. The car was great, the location was great but the experience was horrible. The salesman tried to sell me extra insurance (to which I replied I have plenty of my own coverage) and he then told me for only a $16.99 one time fee they would pay my insurance deductible if anything happened. I said fine, it's worth only $16 for that. He didn't show me the itemized estimate and just said "sign here." After I get back from an extremely difficult week, I see that it was $16.99 PER DAY totaling over $100 in charges that I did not agree to. I'm extremely disappointed in the poor communication and behavior. Taking advantage of someone who is already in a difficult situation and trying to up-sell them is reprehensible--not to mention the hassle of having to contact corporate to report the error and ask for a refund of the unauthorized charges. If I get the $100 back I will consider renting here again, but it's worth going to Poway to avoid the hassle as they have never treated me this way. read more

Shout out to Kevin at Enterprise this morning. I was there to pick up a rental while my car is in the shop (RBS). It was crazy busy. While I was waiting to get my car, a man walked in (I won't call him a gentleman) apparently with no reservation, and was offered a couple different choices of vehicles on the lot. He refused, and demanded a vehicle they clearly don't have (Dude, you can see what's available -it's not a big place)- and expected Kevin to get him what he wanted - at a rock bottom price. Long story short, the man was very rude and nasty, and yet Kevin handled him with the utmost in courtesy and professionalism. read more

I booked a SUV with Annie two days prior for moving a few household items. When I arrived to pick up my SUV Annie had provided me with an upgrade Chevrolet Suburban. We were very thankful for a full size SUV because we only had to make two trips instead of three. Annie was very professional and a great representive for Enterprise Car Rental company. Showed up to rent a car and was told only after arrival that I could not use my debit card because I don't live locally in Ramona! I've rented cars all over the world and have used Enteprise numerous times and never once was I told I can't use my debit card. It's seems a little sketchy so I'm glad i didn't give them my debit or credit card. read more

Their recording says "the company that picks you up." NOT. I call in to the location I want to use, but the line transfers to the central reservation desk, who tells me "use option 4" to ring the local office. Trying that, their computer said "Not a valid option." So catch-22 on getting picked up. Just one more service deficit from only one person staffing the location; checking customers in and out, and even washing and prepping the cars. Surely they lack the personnel to read these reviews to see why they're losing customers. read more

This is the worst rental car establishment I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. There is a poor selections on cars, meaning you're forced to take unnecessary upgrades. Since salesmen in a small town realize options to go elsewhere is limited or sometimes impossible, the staff will not work with you on any level financially. Representative refused to work with my car insurance to receive the price I have under contract. GO TO ANY OTHER LOCATION IF YOU CAN! read more

I have waited for an hour after my appointment time to be picked up and also waited sitting on the front deck for someone as no one is in the office. If it happened once I would be ok with it. Well yet again another fail on customer service again at this fine establishment was in line waiting and another person comes in and the employee acknowledged him adds totally ignored me last time with this place with a months notice for a car they could come up with it and had to settle on something I didn't want needs more staff and more noticeable ones at that... We shall see the next time if there's is a next time... I'm grateful they have a car rental place in Ramona but I feel this place is understaffed. Every time I have rented or returned a car from this location there has been only one person in the office and she is rarely there. Once she was in the Estates and the other times picking up a car in Poway. I've had to wait 2 to 3 hours at a time and when I did a survey complaining about the wait time I received a call from her. I had to call their corporate office to request her not to call me. I was not happy with the service at all. read more

Similar experience to the one posted below but with the addition of unprofessional service. I reserved a car online which I would be using for a week and a half and received a confirmation email. Went to pick it up in the morning and provided my drivers license and a debit card. Because I was using a debit card I was told that I would need to provide either a utility bill, pay stub or some other document that had my address on it and showed some form of payment. I was caught a little off guard but thought no problem, rules are rules. So I said I'll check my phone and look for a bank statement or pay stub. In the mean time the clerk says he'll help the couple (a man and a woman) behind me while I am looking. Again, this is no big deal and at this point I had no problem with any of this. So as I am looking at my phone I hear the clerk talking to the couple and he asks them if they had another ID. The man initially says no but that he will check. He eventually finds a Costco card and asks if that would be sufficient and the clerk says that will be fine and then asks them for 2 references which they provide. I don't exactly know the details of why the couple had to provide another ID and 2 refereces and the only reason I mention this is because I thought it was strange that I was not given the same options as them. At this point I have logged into my bank account and am looking through my transactions and the clerk finishes with the couple and starts helping a gentleman. The clerk then leaves the front desk to take the gentleman to his car rental. At this point I find a statement that shows my home address and a direct deposit. When the clerk comes back inside I tell him I found the info he is looking for but he says he will help the next people in line first. That was the point it went too far for me. I had been very patient at that point and had no problem letting 2 sets of customers get their service before I did. But now that I found the document, that you had requested in the first place, shouldn't I get priority? Anyways, I cancel my reservation and have someone pick me up and we go to the Avis in Rancho Bernardo. I tell the clerk at Avis I only have a debit card and she says no problem they will do a soft credit check and will hold $300 and that I will get the $300 back assuming no major issues. I told them that was fine and a few short minutes later I am driving to work in a rental car. That's the way it should be done! read more
