Enterprise put my wife and me in serious danger twice and then brushed it off with a $100 credit. On August 13 while my car was in the body shop, I rented a Tesla Model Y from the Riverside Enterprise. The manager admitted the only Tesla available had tire issues but reassured me after checking with another branch that this one was good to go. After waiting over 45 minutes the car finally arrived. Within days I discovered the car was leaking air so badly that I had to constantly refill the tires just to keep driving it. On August 16 I called to report the issue. The same manager told me not to worry and said he had a brand new Model Y with no problems. I swapped cars, only to have this so called safe vehicle malfunction almost immediately after leaving the lot. While driving home on the freeway, the car suddenly went haywire. The emergency blinkers came on by themselves, loud alarms blared nonstop, multiple error messages flashed across the screen, and then the accelerator pedal went limp. I had no choice but to coast onto the shoulder of a busy freeway where my wife and I were stranded for nearly two hours as cars sped past. When I called the manager during this emergency, instead of offering real help he transferred me to roadside assistance. After the tow truck arrived I was instructed to follow the car back, but because the Riverside location had closed I was sent to the Ontario Airport branch. There, management told me they had negative inventory and acted like they could not provide a replacement. After another hour and a half of waiting I finally left with a vehicle that was a clear downgrade from what I had paid for. When my wife returned that car the Riverside manager offered nothing more than $100 off the booking and promised to follow up with me personally. No call ever came. No real apology. No accountability. Enterprise gave me not one but two unsafe vehicles within three days, knowingly put us at risk on a busy freeway, wasted hours of our time, and then treated the entire ordeal like a minor inconvenience. Customers deserve safe cars and responsible management. We got neither. read more

The last time I rented at Enterprise car rental was great however going back was disappointing. Customer service and what I didn't see coming it was close to closing time on Thursday, July 3 when I arrive to pick up my rental vehicle at enterprise car rental on Van Buren at which time I told the clerk I had reservations for a mid size car for four days however I had a change in plans and only needed the car for two days he said he could not change my reservations, but he instead created a new contract without giving me the daily rate he instead just said " I was able to keep it under $200 so it's $159.00 for two days for midsize car, Nissan Sentra."When I reviewed the contract it indicated the total price was $176.00 The clerk said "yes $159 was before fees and taxes" Funny how I felt so rushed I signed on his tablet agreeing to the terms mind you I was standing in the hot sun and could barely see the screen later that evening I I reviewed the rental contract via email the rate I was paying was $79.99 a day for the same mid size car I had reserved for $49.99 a day . I just wanted to share the information with my community this was unacceptable to increase the daily rate from $49'.99 to $79.99 for the same car was it because I only wanted it for 2 days instead of 4??? Well I'm waiting for corporate to contact me on this matter I made a documented complaint which is being reviewed they guarantee within 3 days my dispute will be resolved Additionally I researched the enterprise website where it claims if you should bring the rental back early you will only be charged for the number of days you used it no penalties for early return Why didn't the clerk share this with me had I known I would have just left it for the 4 days and returned it early paying only $49.99 a day. I have attached copy of both the original reservation and the final contrast . Was renting a car through insurance, never received call. Finally received confirmation that the compact car I reserved was ready for pickup. Only to show up and them trying to sneak in a truck. After declining a truck they tried giving me a charger, another gas hogging car. Declined that and they did the same thing to the Spanish speaking lady in front of me and I could tell she was not happy either. We finally settled on an SUV which I was still not happy about because of the original confirmation of the compact rental. Because they were closing they rushed me out of there and then as I was getting into the car a girl comes out saying that I'm going to have to be paying $2 a day since my insurance isn't covering the tax which didn't make sense because it was still under the daily insurance threshold. I came back the following day since they never responded regarding swapping a car for a compact car per the original reservation and as soon as I get out of my rental all of a sudden this guy comes up to me saying he didn't call me back because they didn't have any compact cars and that I wasn't going to have to pay that daily tax fee that they originally said and not to worry about it (which I wasn't going to pay in the first place because it was still under the insurance threshold and the added charge was also not showing under the charges for the insurance). Something shady is definitely going on in this place and not coming back. 10 out of 10 don't recommend. I was very disappointed because I have had great experience with Enterprise rental in the past in Orange County and while traveling up north. I called into the branch on my way to return a vehicle. My ETA was 30 minutes before closing so I want to coordinate over the phone to see if someone can drop me off at a body shop nearby to pick up my vehicle. The lady I was talking to over the phone said she doesn't have any available driver and suggest that I come back tomorrow so they can shuttle me back even after I mentioned to her that I am on my way. She also was aware that I have to return the vehicle before they close to not incur an extra day charge. I told her that was not a good solution and she said when I get to the branch we would talk more about it. When I got to the branch, I asked her if there is a solution and she said no. I really enjoy my time while I'm at this location. The staff are very friendly and always make me feel like I'm a part or the neighborhood. It's refreshing to say the least. Syd is a great manager and always seems to go above and beyond to get me the cars that I need. I haven't had a problem with a car in six months, and when you rent as much as I do that is saying a lot. I'd say promote this guy but then I'd have to start all over again with some other manager. But on a serious note I do think Syd and the team he leads are strong examples of employees who exceed customers' expectations for service, quality and value. I have used this enterprise maybe 20 times five or take, I've never had a issue. If the car I want isn't available I just choose something else. It's really not a big deal breaker for me, the manager a Jamaican guy is no lonelier at that location but the new manager is just as nice ( Kevaughn). I saw a new lady named Terry who went above and beyond getting my twins' car seats in the rental car. When I say she went a long way, I mean, 10/10 customer service and she cared. It's nice having a woman there, Terry instinctively knew I had a lot on my plate and just helped. Her kindness really stood out to me and will always stand out- give that lady a raise! The grey keep was nice and well maintained, I liked the auto start and the trunk open and close feature. Very nice for when I did pick up at target with the kids. Made a reservation for a luxury car for 5 days. 5 minutes before my reservation pick-up, Jeselle (not sure of the spelling) calls to tell me that they don't have a luxury car available. When I asked what my options were she said that I could rent a standard size sedan. I told her that wasn't acceptable and that I reserved a luxury car for a specific reason. When I asked if she could look for one at a different location she complained about how difficult that would be. I asked, "so what is Enterprise going to do about this for me?" She said NOTHING! I asked to speak to a manager. She told me that the manager wasn't available and hung up the phone. I've been renting cars a few times a year from Enterprise for a lot of years and have never been treated like this. Customer service said that a district manager would contact me right away. It's been 4 hrs and I still haven't heard from anyone. I needed this car 4 hrs ago. If that's the type of people Enterprise is hiring to deal with customers then I'm done with them. Wasn't aware I need Proof of Residency when using a debit card and walked 1.5 miles to the rental place to pick up car. She seemed offended when I didn't have a major credit card, and was in no rush to take care of me once a regular walked in the door.... cancelled my appointment on my walk back home. We booked a car for 3pm. We arrived at the locations at 230pm they said they did not have any cars available even tho we made a reservation a month early? They said they will get us a car in an hour so we waited that hour, 2 hours pass we said if we could redeem our free upgrade with one of the cars they already had here becuz we were In a hurry, the manager straight out came out with in attitude and said they could go somewhere else and drive themselves somewhere else to get another car if they can't wait. My experience here was superb! So I had to get a rental in short notice to go to Santa Cruz. I wasn't able to take my car, so I went on to look for rentals. I first went to the one on university but the woman there was rude and uninformative. I go to this one and Carlos helps me out. Unfortunately because I decided to rent so last minute, they only had a suvs, mini vans.... And a mini Cooper. I didn't want to rent it because it was considered a luxury sport car.. Carlos told me he'd give me a free upgrade since it was the only sedan they had. I wasn't necessarily convinced but he told me to look at it first before I said no. So I did and I ended up renting the mini Cooper. My trip went perfect. No car troubles. I'm so happy he convinced me to rent that. He was very nice and helped make my trip a million times better. Avoid this rental car establishment!!!! Employers lie, car was dirty with dog hair and the car needed a tune up. Asked for a replacement they said come on down and we where given the run around. And was told it just had a oil change. I check the dip stick and the oil was dirty. I guess they do not no the meaning of good customer service. I had the same problem about 15 years ago. Had to rent a car and the check oil light came on. Gave them a call and was told by the lady at the counter to buy some oil and add as needed. There's a pattern hear. Erika picked me up and handled the entire process with me. She was super friendly, professional, and efficient! In the past, I rented at a different Enterprise and the rep tried a whole sleazy car salesman spiel on selling me the liability insurance, but with Erika, everything was quick and easy! Stay away from this company. My wife needed a replacement vehicle due to her private vehicle getting repaired and we got a Jeep Cherokee. Well, that rental car got rear ended, ( no fault of ours) so enterprise gave her a full size ford truck. This vehicle was too big for her and put her at risk for getting into another accident. We explained the problem to the person at the front desk ( African American woman) and she showed zero interest in putting us in another vehicle. I understand the whole availability issue bi2t people were walking in and getting cars while we were calling around for another rental car. I cannot comprehend how enterprise would put us at risk by issuing us a big car for my wife . And not even attempt to call other enterprise locations for some sort of compromise. We will never rent from enterprise again and we will be letting out insurance company and body shop know of our dissatisfaction. read more

As the man waiting on us was telling us of having rented the truck to someone else, in walks an employee with three little caesars pizza boxes having just gotten out of the rental that was supposedly rented to someone else. I have had the opportunity to rent about 4 times from Enterprise the last several months for work. The staff has been friendly and I have enjoyed my interactions with them. This last visit, I got a car that I was less than impressed with, but didn't have a chance to say anything until the end of my rental time, but when I did, I feel like they heard my concerns and they resolved the problem. Our wonderful experience with this particular Enterprise began the day before our scheduled car pickup. Erika called to confirm our reservation and provided additional information just in case we were going to use a debit card for our rental (we were). This information allowed us to be prepared and not caught off guard. When we arrived to pickup up our car, my Mom accidentally brought the incorrect paperwork. But Erika checked with her supervisor, Nicole, and she okayed it...which we were very appreciative of because I would've had to go back to my Mom's house to get the correct paperwork. Our full size rental car was a Ford Flex and Mom was very happy and left to drop off her van at the mechanic shop...however, the AC wasn't working so I had to wait for another car...no problem! The next car was a Hyundai Sonata...not bad but I expressed my concerns with Nicole and Cassandra, which were: my Mom has degenerative disc disease in her back and no cartilage in her knees. This means low cars are very painful for her to get in and out of and ride in. I told them I'd check with my Mom when I picked her up to see if it was comfortable enough for her. Sure enough, it proved to be very difficult for her. I called Enterprise back and spoke with Cassandra and they went to work to accommodate my Mom. Upon arrival at Enterprise, their shipment of cars arrived and Nicole picked out a Dodge Journey that made my Mom smile from ear to ear! Words cannot express how much I appreciated the professionalism, caring attitude and the going out of the wayness (yup I just made up a word) provided by Nicole, Cassandra and Erika! Their customer service was beyond 100% and 5 stars! Thank you Ladies for making what could have been a difficult time for my Mom smooth sailing! I should have booked elsewhere since my first experience with the Van Buren branch was questionable at best when they rented me a scummy minivan but I opted to give them another try. BIG MISTAKE! Now to the rating... I would give the Van Buren location 0 stars if I could. I had a reservation for today (Thursday) that I booked well in advance. I received a call Monday to confirm my reservation for today. I received a call from enterprise 2 hours before saying that they did not have a car available and could not tell me when they would. They stated that some of their rentals were extended which caused the shortage. My reservation was for noon and it is 9:21pm as I write this and guess what? No call no follow-up. I even when as far as to ask for a regional manager since the branch lacks proper management. Their reply was we don't have a phone number for him? Really? They gave me an email address and of course there was no reply. Worst customer service ever! Will not be going back and definitely will share my experience. read more

This location was very pleasant and easy to work with. I booked online and they called me two days before to secure the car of my choice...around Memorial Day weekend! The car was a Dodge Durango and it got us to Arizona and back without any issues and it was very comfortable to ride. Returning the car was just as easy and simple.
