Overall, this was a very bad experience. Based on what I went through, I would not recommend this location. A few weeks ago, I reserved a Toyota Camry, but when I arrived, they did not have the vehicle I had reserved. The car we were given was a hybrid, but the battery was dead when I got in it. The vehicle was also dirty inside. They initially tried to give me a smaller car, which was not what I wanted. To their credit, they eventually provided a complimentary upgrade to an SUV, which I appreciated. The bigger issue occurred when it was time to return the vehicle. I arrived on the scheduled return date, but the office was completely closed. The doors were locked, there was no sign posted, and no one answered when I knocked. I contacted corporate, and they instructed me to take a photo of the vehicle in front of the building to document that I was there on time and email it to them, which I did. When I returned early the next morning, the staff member I spoke with, Noori, was very rude and unwilling to listen to my explanation. I was told I would be charged additional fees, including a late fee and a fuel charge. I explained that I had attempted to return the vehicle on time, but the office was closed and unattended. Despite providing the details of what happened, I was repeatedly told that the location was open, that they do not make mistakes, and that there would have been a sign on the door. My original charge was supposed to be around $130, but after the additional fees it increased to approximately $330. Corporate has only agreed to refund $100, even though the situation was caused by the office being unavailable when I arrived to return the vehicle. While I appreciated the complimentary SUV upgrade, the poor customer service, lack of accountability, and unexpected charges left me very dissatisfied with my overall experience. read more

Save your time and effort. Reserved a cargo van online and once I got there, they said they didn't have it but could do a smaller truck for the same price. Well budget rental car at ONT airport warned us last week They asked us if we using the California toll road system. My darling said no. Well we did venture into Irvine CA & yes we used the toll roads to save time. (Problem is CA has given us 5 days to pay our tolls. So she signed up & CA said budget will pay our tolls???). Do Not rent a car from this location. I reserved a premium SUV to take some clients out, when I arrived I was informed they had no premium cars available. I was on a tight schedule so didn't have any other choice so had to take a lower level mid size SUV. They put me in a Hyundai and let's just say it was in very poor condition. Dents and scratches, car was not clean on the inside or out. Smelled inside like wet dog. Only had a 1/4 tank of gas and then I notice the tires were almost bald. I don't know how they run this as an Avis shop, seems more like a family owned business. They had no excuses and only thing they said was sorry. Well sorry doesn't help and by the reviews here it's not the first time. What an embarrassment this was, I will never rent a car from this location again. On 6/13 2024 I was to pick up a 15' truck that I had reserved on 5/24 for a one way move to Las Vegas NV. I arrived at the pickup place at 9:15 am and was advised there was no truck but was offered an electric Van. I was moving a 2 bedroom apartment. This was totally insufficient and unacceptable . I was forced to find my own truck, which I did. I had already hired and paid movers to help Load the truck . Which I had to pay for another hour of overtime (208.00) An extra moving expense I had to incur. Then ....... After my move was complete, (thanks to U Haul), BUDGET rental charged me $150.00 for a NO SHOW!!!!!!!!!! STOLE the money from my account. I was on time to pick up a truck I signed no contract with Budget I received no truck I informed customer service and was assured I would receive a refund. I rented a van and it smelled like smoke! With four asthmatics and all non smokers in the van, we had to drive with the windows cracked during breaks in the rain but otherwise we were miserable. We were gasping for air due to that, therein the defroster was not effective. Plus, when we got to our event, we reeked of smoke. I returned the car with a full tank on Thursday morning and all was fine. I made a simple staement that I was not happy with the rental due to the stench and went on my merry way. I got a final receipt for the amount I agreed to pay. Then today, I got a charge for another $250. No explanation. I am filing a claim with my financial institution to dispute the charge as I was not told about it before I picked it up, during, or after. Recently booked an electric car through costco for a week. Things I appreciated include: 1) Location - convenient for where I live and situated in a shopping complex so plenty of parking. 2) Selection - from my experiences at other rental places, it is common to select a vehicle online and to get something much different. For example, at another place, I rented a hybrid vehicle online but could not get one because it was not available. For this place, I reserved an EV (tesla model 3 or similar) and they pleasantly had Tesla Model 3s which I ended up driving. -------------------------- Like some other reviewers mention however, was not pleased with: 1) Cleanliness - the car was not clean at all upon introduction to the vehicle, I saw empty water bottles, gum wrappers, etc which the employee took out but again, it was clear that they paid no attention to the cleanliness. I've rented from other locations before where the car was clean with complimentary wipes already provided in the car. 2) Untrained staff - overall the staff were friendly but they were frustratingly not knowledgeable about many things. For example, I asked how charging and billing works for the Tesla and the employee said I had to use my own card at the stations. When I could not see any place to use my own card at the superchargers, the manager informed me that Budget would send me an invoice instead. Moreover, when I was sold the liability insurance, I was told a certain price but the employee failed to recognize that there are different price points for different cars and so I was charged a higher than expected fee that this location did not rectify because "it's already in the system." read more

This location deserves 0 stars and I'm honestly surprised they are still in business considering how shady they are. I have required a rental about 5 times this year, but this is the first time I have used Budget. This will also be the last. I booked a reservation without insurance. At the time of pick up, they asked if I'd like insurance. I said no. They continued trying to sell it. I was firm. They said they could see my insurance information in the reservation and I was good. The day I returned the vehicle, I had a pending charge. I called the location. They told me the charge would drop off because I already paid for everything at the time of booking. The charge posted and when I called to ask why it posted, the first thing they said was that I need to call customer service. I asked what the charge was for and I was told it was for insurance. The same insurance I didn't authorize. When I called customer service, customer service told me the location added the charge when I picked up the vehicle. News to me!! The customer service rep was great; however, she did state that this will be escalated to management so this location is watched more closely to ensure they are not continuing to fraudulently add charges to customer reservations. I have never had this occur with Enterprise. Instead of opting for a repeat customer, this location would rather try to make a few bucks and lose customers. They should be shut down if this is standard operating procedure for them. read more

Worst experience I have had renting a car. They had two cars left for me to choose from and one had no tread on the tires and a screw in the tire. I informed Avis and the guy said I could take it to a tire shop and have it repaired.... Why would I take my time to fix your car? Wow. I picked the other vehicle which was dirty inside like no other. There was chewed gum stuck on the seat. I again informed Avis and he said he didn't have anything to take it off... wow again. Despite picking the newer vehicle with the gum bonus, we got a flat in the middle of the desert. The vehicle did not have a spare tire. I called Avis for help and after an hour of telling the representative where we were over and over they said they could tow the car but I couldn't be given a ride because I had 4 people with me and they wouldn't all fit in the tow truck. I asked for a supervisor to call me and have still not heard back. The phone representatives did not understand what I was saying and were distracted by background noises, possible children or a TV. Again, wow. WORST rental company and will NEVER RETURN. read more

If I had the option to give zero starts or even negative stars, I would. I had made an on-line reservation for a full-size truck for our family road trip to the Grand Canyon more than a month ago. We needed to fit our bikes and we needed a truck. We even visited the site and spoke to Noor last week and he promised us that the truck will be available and there will be more than one truck to choose from. When we went to pick up our truck today as per our reservation, this same person Noor tells us that the person who was supposed to return his truck decided to keep it for another week and they have only sedans and small vans available for us. Whatever the other person decided to do is none of our problem. Our problem is that Noor promised us a truck and that promise was broken and our family trip is ruined. I reserved a car online through Costco and did not have any issues with the price. When I picked up the car the outside was clean but the inside could have used a LOT more attention. The car smelled stale inside so I opened the windows as a drove away. When I turned on the AC, the air smelled as if the air filter had not been changed in a long while. I later noticed that there was pet hair on the cloth seats and the floor, as well as crumbs and liquid stains on the center console. Also there were several receipts from previous renters & fastfood napkins, etc. still in various places in the car. One even dropped on my head as I pulled down the sun visor. Obviously this was an annoyance but not enough to make me return the car at that moment, since I was under a time deadline. I just placed an air freshner in the car, put something on the seat before I sat down to keep the pet hair off me & wiped down everything with anti-bac wipes just in case. They should definitely do a better job cleaning. (Animal hair pictures did not come out clearly & didn't want to post a video.) I had to rent again & returned to this location for pickup after reserving it online as before. I reserved the car for a week but turned it in early. The guy at the counter (Sohaib) told me that I would get a discount for the early return, but when he totaled the invoice, it was the same price as the full week. I asked about the discount and he said that he applied it but it came out at the same price. He charged me more than my reserved amount and applied a discount to their regular rental rate (which was much more). When I asked why he charged me more, his explanation was that since I didn't pre-pay my reserve rate, I couldn't get that price. I explained that wasn't the case on my last rental - or on any other rental I've ever had. He said that was my final discounted price. Unfortunately he was the only person at the location and no one else I could speak with, so he said I would have to talk to the reservation company. I plan to do just that. I saw another review where someone mentioned pricing change. So if you book in advance, pay attention to what you are being charged and confirm your rate again. Apparently your booking registration is not enough proof. This location is convenient but I'll use another location in the future to avoid these issues again. Also Fastbreak rentals/services are not available at this location. One of the persons working their during my pickup had no idea what I was talking about, even after explaining it. Hopefully they will make the necessary improvements and offer amore training to the reps working there. read more

I rented a basic compact suv but was given a mid sized suv that was fully loaded for the same rental price as the small suv. With a reservation we were in and out in a few minutes and the return was even quicker. The gentleman working the front desk was super friendly. We went in because we unexpectedly had to get our car serviced. We had no reservation but called he had cars. I told the gentleman we have a corporate code he said he didn't need it because he put in a coupon and he is getting us an upgrade for free. The first car he gave us we drove off and the light came on. First car reeked of smoke and did not tell us u til he walked us to the car. Wrong thing we were taking because nothing else was ready or had issues. We were going to see if we can tolerate it. We made a u turn and called them because the light came on inside regarding there was an issue. We made a u turn the second car, we were about to leave it said oil Maintenance . He tells use it is a sensor issue. We returned it the next day to explain again turning the car in that my corporate account you didn't take the corporate Code it was cheaper. I checked as soon as we drive away I was right about the cost of the car. We went online to look why he didn't do it with same car and dates. It was cheaper I called and he didn't answer and they were closing. We returned the car the following day not keeping it for 2 days. I discussed the AWF number again why he did t do it not even wanting to check and had said he put it a coupon yesterday it was a lie. The gentleman said I forgot to put in the coupon code. I brought the car back a day early. Let me call the manager instead of talking to him in English he went back and force in a different language. The manager spoke with me asked for the what happened he had the gentleman put the code in. He said it was 30 dollars for a renal I brought back 12 hours earlier. Mind you we switch out the cars twice so the time when we took it was wrong. I paid 174 for the car with no extr insurance. Yesterday with my corporate code I would have had the car for total 75 dollars for 2 days out the door I need a car for 4 days same size for the holiday and it came out to be 95 for 4 days. They ripped us off. They didn't fix the error when they gentleman got back on the ilohone they conversed in another language Nd Inhave no ide was was being said . It was a disappointing experience. Watch out with what you sign because you can be ripped off. Better to know what you are getting by order the rental online not by just walking in. They could rent them but found me one two days later. I love how they are willing to go out of their way to make the customer feel important. We're long time Budget customers and had pre-paid for a small crossover SUV. Franchise owner helped us. He is rude and doesn't care about his customers. When walking in he was already arguing with his employee. When he later showed us to our car, it was not what we had expected or hoped for. We needed a certain amount of space and had based the reservation on that. Also all seats were filthy. He called it an upgrade because it uses less gas and iss proud to tell you that you don't have to pay extra for it. Seriously????? If you complain that this (only available) car is less suitable for your needs than the one you reserved and pre-paid, he's quick to get annoyed and threatens to void the contract, basically leaving you hanging. Doesn't care it puts you in a bind. Basically he wants you to just take what he serves up and swallow it or be screwed. And he gets angry when you show that you're not happy with this treatment. We decided to accept the car anyway because it would be difficult to find an alternative last minute. He walked around the car with us to inspect for damage and despite him acknowledging several big scratches and damages, we later found he only marked one on the damage report. Luckily he did make note of the stained seats, because we were later charged for a cleaning (budget claimed they gave us a clean car, ha!), but we were able to get it quickly refunded based on this. We were very happy they opened a Budget right here in Corona, very convenient, but we won't be going back there. I'd rather drive the extra distance to Riverside. And I hope the Corona location will have to switch owners soon. read more

We have rented a car from this facility twice in the last 2 months and would not hesitate to do so in the future! Rental car prices have really gone up significantly since COVID, so comparing prices is crucial! We normally rent from the airport, but after adding in all the taxes, etc (from an airport rental), it has become almost cost prohibitive. We usually rent a car for 2-3 weeks at a time, so while price is definitely one of the criteria we use in selecting a car rental facility, we also factor in service and ease in renting. This facility beats every other facility in almost every category! We have received excellent service, very competitive prices and never a long wait! read more

Well let me tell you my experience. I was offered a vehicle that was not clean and he told me I could take it to the car wash instead of providing a clean and disinfected vehicle. I was extremely unhappy and was given a vehicle lower than what I paid for. When returning the vehicle I was charged $39 a day for "damage and additional liability insurance" I had already paid $10 a day when I reserved the car. He refused to refund any part of the insurance because he didn't like the way I was talking. I'm very disappointed in the service here and needless to say I will never use them or recommend them to anyone. Beware of what you're signing. Poor service all around. read more

I have rented a car from this dealer every week for the last several months. My job has me driving from Corona to Palmdale (200 miles round trip) at least once a week. While I tend to deal with the owner most frequently, he has recently brought on an additional counter person to help. Both are great to work with and I have only ever received outstanding support. I can tell you, from personal experience, there is likely more to the story presented by the one star reviewer and would encourage anyone considering this location to focus on the other reviews. read more
