Had to rent a car after being in an accident. It was tough to get a hold of this branch and when I did I had to wait an additional 24 hours to get a car. In addition the car they gave me clearly wasn't washed- there were bug stains on the windshield and it reeked of tobacco. When I went to drop off the car, one of the workers came out to the parking lot while talking on the phone and told me to just hand him the keys and he would email me the rest. I made a reservation through my business travel agency that was confirmed through Enterprise. I took an Uber to get to the enterprise location only to have them tell me there are no cars available and that "booking through business travel allows them to bypass the system regardless of if there is inventory or not available". That's all they could do, they did mention they tried to reach out via phone and left a messages which is reasonable however I didn't get anything on my cell. Wouldn't come back, no alternative options provided by the manager on site i.e. check airport rental availability for me or anything, just "we can't do anything". So I booked a car online. I Had to drive from Sacramento to Chico California. I booked the car through AAA. The reservation ended up switching the car over to a different Sacramento location. They proceeded to tell me that it was double the charge to pick it up at the Sacramento Airport location. Enterprise car rental slogan is will pick you up. Please pick me up or let me get a car from Sacramento airport. The lady was very rude Inconsiderate and unwilling to do anything for a customer service situation. I have had good results from enterprise about 10 years ago. I believe the company has gone downhill or at least this location. I ended up going over to budget and getting the same rate for the same car. I even informed the lady that I had the same rate for the same car at budget rental car and was willing to see if they couldn't price match it. I ended up canceling the reservation. I understand things can happen online to understand a person's needs to accommodate the situation is good customer service. I would recommend enterprise practice this philosophy to improve their customer experience. I will recommend budget first in the future. read more

First I was told there were no cars that were in the price range the insurance company was paying they were all rented out. They put me in a car that I had to pay extra everyday out of my pocket when I complained one of the front desk people said sorry can't help you and I tried again and this time a different person credited me for the difference and did not charge me. Also, I was charged $11.85 as a "service charge" for a thruway toll of $8.64. I have no problem paying the $8.64 but the $11.85 is ridiculous and pure profit for Enterprise. I have a toll device and it doesn't cost anything to have it. I should have used my own but was unaware of the additional fees. All the arrangements for the rental were made by my insurance company as my car was being repaired. And the annoying part is there is no email or customer service phone number to call and discuss a refund. I will NEVER use them again. read more

I placed a rental reservation online with all of the required data after reading and agreeing to the terms and conditions. I got dropped off at this location by my dealership's shuttle to rent a loaner while my car gets fixed. I have rented cars here in the past, and my Enterprise Plus member account was still on file. I gave them my driver's license and debit card to pay for the $300 deposit, but they would not let me have the economy car without giving them a credit card with a line of credit on it, or a current utility bill and bank statement. No where during the online reservation process was I told that this was an additional requirement, and I didn't have any of these items with me, so I offered to put down a $2,000 deposit instead. The manager told me no, and that he cannot let me borrow a car without the additional items as per company policy. So, I had to leave without the car I reserved and planned to use to get around for the next few days. Infuriating! read more

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! DO... NOT...GO...TO...THE...ENTERPRISE... on 763 LINDEN AVE!!! My jeep was involved in a hit in run accident and I was scheduled to bring it in to the collision shop. I called Enterprise two days before trying to pick up an economy car. They told me I had the reservation for an economy Nissan vehicle all priced out and ready to go, I had my pickup time at 11:00 am, and my drop off date. I confirmed by email TWICE that I would be picking it up, and getting this car. I arrive 20 minutes early to get the car, and the desk man, calls his manager, he looks at me and says, "We don't have a car, have a nice day." I said, "have a nice day?" I've had this reservation made for two days, and I confirmed twice that it was here, and ready for this time. He didn't even look at me and stated very flatly, "I tried to call you yesterday, to tell you and leave a message." HE WAS CLEARLY LYING. I pulled out my cell phone (my only means of contact added.) I was furious!!! "There is no missed call, there is no voicemail, there is nothing? But what I do have is a confirmation reservation email from 8:08 am this morning saying 'Am I ready to pick this vehicle up at 11:00 am?" He was very short and stated, "this is all I can do for you." I was so furious with how unprofessional, and unhelpful this "MAN" was. Now my car has to be scheduled for repairs with the collision shop at a whole different week and time now due to this, conflicting with work, traveling around the holidays. This branch is the worst branch of Enterprise. Today I went to return the car that I had rented due to Amica Insurance claim. I met a gentleman named Pat. Due to some paperwork issues we had a little dispute. Pat was downright abusive. He shouted at me and yelled: "I am the assistant manager and don't tell me how to do my job". Then despite the promise by Enterprise to give me ride back home. He simply shouted at me: "I will not give you a ride back home". If there is a Zero star rating I would give that rating to this location. Stay away from this location unless you want to be abused and yelled at by the incompetent staff. I had a much better experience with Henrietta location of Enterprise. Go there or better boycott Enterprise. I had no choice because Amica Insurance deals with Enterprise only. read more

I was in Rochester, NY for one day. I called and reserved a car and was quoted $225.62. I was told I would have the choice of a Nissan Altima or equivalent vehicle. Once I arrived I was given a Dodge Ram as my only option and quoted a price of over $400. I asked if there were any other options as that price was too high and I preferred a car. They said no. They gave me no other choice and had no way of lowering the price. I was in a town I was unfamiliar with and trapped with no vehicle. Thanks Enterprise!! read more

I returned the car with my dad in law at this location, and was told the drop off was farther and expected therefore, they were not going to be able to drop us back to our destination. Seeking resolution, Brandon the branch manager sought to resolve the problem without us mentioning anything. We were able to drive a different vehicle to a nearby location where we reside (they were close Sunday) and just allowed us to drop the car off without extra cost. We then were able to have someone pick us up at a closer destination, and not have to wait longer to get picked up. I was happy with the result and appreciated the extra mile he had went. read more

Unreliable, unhelpful, disregards customer's safety and well-being!!! So, we're in upstate NY and rented a car from Enterprise because they advertise that they drop off and pick up. When I picked up the car on TH the guy there told me to bring it back by 5pm on SAT so I can get a ride back to the hotel (they have a shuttle to the airport). I get there at 4:30pm and found out they closed at 2pm!! I call the national number and they said there's nothing they could do. I asked if there was a cab service in the area or was I stuck with my kid in the middle of nowhere 4 miles from the hotel. They said I'll have to come back when they open at 9am. I told them we were flying out at 6am. I asked if they could call me a cab or if I could leave the car at the hotel and have them pick it up in the morning. She said she'd have the regional manager call me but that's all she could do for me. Three and a half hours later I'm still waiting for a call. Thank God our awesome hotel gave me the number for a reputable, reliable, safe cab they use. I got us back to the hotel to the tune of $35!!! What was the most disturbing about the whole situation was Enterprise's unwillingness to help and willingness to leave us stranded in a strange town, 5000 miles from home where we don't know a soul. I'm so grateful that our hotel doesn't have the same disregard for their customer's safety and concern. read more

I called for a quote. I've always had very good service from Enterprise in the past. It's been several years since I've rented from them. Prior to calling, I called Hertz. Online Enterprise offers a weekend special. The agent who answered did not give her name. She did not ask me what type of vehicle I was interested in. She quoted me a price $75 more than Hertz for the same car. When I mentioned this to her, she said this is the best price.She never offered the weekend special which if I book online is available. I thanked her and said goodbye. I waited for her to hang up so I could answer the 1 question survey. She never disconnected the call and a call started coming in from an unknown caller. When I declined the unknown caller they called back 4 times and my call with Enterprise was disconnected without the survey. Needless to say, I will not be going through Enterprise now or in the future. read more

I actually did not have the best experience at my last rental. I have used enterprise in Florida, Ohio, Michigan, and New York in the last two years. Enterprise is just the best as far as customer service goes in person and over the phone. My last experience was not. I had booked a resevation for the weekend special out of East Rochester, NY and the agent named John D was nothing but your best. Sometimes i choose additional insurance and sometimes i don't depending on what im using the rental for. This time i chose not to get insurance. John the agent said that it's "unheard of not to get insurance" and literally said: "do you have 20 thousand dollars to cover the car?" If was rude and uncomfortable and I hated feeling pressured. This has NEVER happened to me over the years of being an Enterprise customer. I also had recently joined your rewards/points program. I briefly inquired about it with John and he had little to say. Of course I will still rent from Enterprise I just hope to never deal with him. I would not have even mentioned anything because we all have bad days. The agent Trish sincerely asked me about my experience and so I told her. She was like the customer service Enterprise usually has. John makes the entire team look bad.
