I rented a 2024 toyota camry from them at 4:30pm on 5/14/2025. On the morning of 5/15/2025 I noticed there was tire chalk circled on part of the tire and upon further inspection saw there was a visible bubble on the tire's sidewall which poses an extreme safety threat and risk of blowout. I called their store and spoke to their manager about this. She acknowledged they had sent this car to the Firestone tire store the day prior to get fixed and that "apparently they must not have replaced the tire or addressed the issue". She told me I could bring the vehicle by their store to swap out for a different vehicle. Upon my arrival, they told me they did not have any vehicles available to swap and told me "maybe you can take it to Firestone off San Pedro to get the tire replaced" I laughed at this response and told them it's not my job nor do I have time to take THEIR vehicle to the tire shop to get a new tire installed. I emphasized how much of a safety issue this is because a tire with a bubble in its sidewall can potentially blow at any given moment without warning and cause an accident. The desk clerk doubled down he did not have any vehicle he could give me in its place and once again "take the car to Firestone and I'll try to credit you 2 days worth of the cost of rental". I again said no, this is unacceptable, and he ultimately suggested I take the car back tomorrow and try to swap it out once again. This is the worst service I've experienced renting a car especially due to the nature of the safety related issue. I would heavily advise against renting a vehicle from this establishment. read more

We anticipated this process taking so long that we got there early that scheduled. TERRIBLE!!!!!!!! Don't go here if you need a rental. I was dropped off and had a confirmed rental, then they told me I need a utility bill or internet bill to confirm my address. I live in an RV park and pay the rv park all of that. My RV park rental bill would not suffice for them. THEY ARE HORRIBLE. I HOPE Turo puts all of them out of business and jobs. read more

I reserved a premium special car (BMW, Audi, etc) over 2 weeks ago, when I got there this morning they gave me the nicest car they had, a tiny Buick SUV. (No discount) Really, a Buick is comparable to a BMW. Maybe they should reach out to you to let you know the level vehicle you wanted is not available. read more

I have been calling ALL day long to discuss my reservation. They do not answer the phone and do not have a voicemail setup. I picked up a rental on Saturday and needed to have a discount code added, I was able to talk with them on Sunday morning but they had no answer for me and told me to call back on Monday to talk to the manager. I again all day long then for 1 hour staring from 5-6pm day 3 of having my rental and no answer, I literally called back to back for and hour. This has to mean they all left early. The service here is beyond poor. And how does a business have no means to leave a voicemail or email them. read more

How good can a rental car place be? Well, if you travel as much as I do, you'll encounter the spectrum of customer service. While I was waiting for my car to be repaired by Caliber, I rented a car from this Enterprise location. First, I received a phone call from Leslie to ask specifics about my pick up date and vehicle type. She was pleasant and efficient on the phone. When I arrived at the physical location, Leslie was behind the counter. She greeted me enthusiastically and assisted me in completing the needed documents. Then, she handed me off to Beth, who also proved to be very sweet and helped me do the walkaround with the car. In less than 20 minutes, I was on my way. Both of these ladies exemplified superior customer service and they were so friendly that I thought they just liked me...until I watched them be just as great with the next customer. So, yes, there is a difference with this location. I will be back when I need a rental car and thank you for your combined professionalism! read more

I am writing this review because I have now been on hold and transferred around for over 30 minutes. My reservation was scheduled for a Saturday morning pick up first thing in the morning. Now that I am on hold for such a long time, it appears that they have forgot about me. The reason I rented a car is I have a scheduled obligation that I will now be an hour late for which is unacceptable. This will be the last time I rent from this location. Very unreliable. They finally got back on the line with me and told me they have other pickups scheduled at 9am. Ok, if this was mentioned to me at the time I made my reservation I would of made other arrangements to be there at 9am. By the time this is all said and done I will now be an hour and a half late thanks guys. Next time be honest and set a real expectation. It's as simple as that. read more

I have had a terrible experience at this Enterprise location (281/Marshall Rd). I received a damage claim of nearly $2,300 for which I am being charged for pre-existing damage. I have attempted to discuss my concerns with two branch managers, one of which was dismissive of my concerns and the other which has failed to return multiple messages. As this is not being addressed locally, I will be filing complaints with the BBB and with my state's attorney general's office (consumer protection). Based on my experience, I do not recommend that others use this Enterprise location. read more

I needed to swap out a car that I rented from a location far from my home, but close to the collision center where my car is being repaired. I drop it for a few days before noticing several things wrong with it. Friday, I attempted to call the Marshall Rd, location which is 1-mile from my home. I attempted to get assistance 3 times, once to be hung up on, once to be placed on hold (I hung up after waiting 15 minutes) & once to be told I'd be getting a call back. No call. Today, Monday I called again the lady who never called me back on Friday said they don't swap out cars rented at another location. BS. I called another location and they are taking care of me. I get they don't want to get stick with a faulty car, but how is that my problem???! Worst customer service ever at Marshall Rd location. read more

Renter Beware I had to rent a car again after the collision shop next door didn't fix all my damage from hail. I rented on June 29, 20 from Enterprise at 2539 Marshall Rd at 281 a Ford Fusion. We go to rent the car, walk around it everything looks good so we have it for a week. The car was hardly driven as I work from home until Sunday when I decided on a quick trip to Houston. All while having the car I had to air up the drivers rear tire twice the second day and a few days later. Long story short driving back from Houston on I10 the car starts making a whining and squeeling noise from the front and you could smell rubber for a brief moment and then the ac starts blowing warm air. Ok so the serpentine belt for the ac must have frayed or busted. We make it back home to San Antonio and take it back the next day Monday. That morning we opened the hood noticed no damage and mind you no oil sprayed around or in the driveway but we could tell the belt was missing so we drove it to Enterprise to trade for a different car. We explained to Enterprise that the tire has an issue and the belt is shredded and gone. They walk around the car and put it to the side and put us in a Charger and apologized. Well come Thursday, 4 days later we get a call from Enterprise and they are staying they are making a claim with our USAA insurance and explain that the car had been bottomed out so hard that it shoved the engine shield into the air compressor and punctured it and sprayed refrigerant oil everywhere. I let them know i never bottomed our or hit anything in the roadway with the car and that it must have happened before me. I even asked to see the damage they state I caused and said it was at a body shop so i asked which one. The gentleman couldn't answer that but then came back and said it was at pep boys getting fixed. He also stated they were going to send pics and estimate to me which I never received. Again I asked which one so I could go see what they claimed I did to the car and no answer. Before I could get off the phone my debit card was charged for $500 for deductible. I called USAA and explained the situation and my rep told me that something is going on with Enterprise because this is the third time this year he himself had had a client say that they are being blamed for damages that was not caused by them. I then called Enterprise location back and asked why they charged my debit card $500 and he states that's your deductible which is only $250. He stated well most people's is $500. What right does he have to just guess. This whole situation is a nightmare that was not caused by us. Who knew to look under the hood and put the car on lifts to check for damage underneath before driving off. I will never rent from Enterprise again. read more

I've dealt with enterprise for years, this place is by far the worst and because of them neither my company nor I will ever deal with them again. I am from out of town working due to the nature of my work I needed to get out of my vehicle and into a rental. I called and verified what I needed using my debit card was an extra deposit as well as 2 utility bills verifying my address same as my DL. I drove 45 mins to pick up the car to be informed they would not rent it to me with a debit card as I was told they would just an hour prior. He said if I had a major credit card he would. I asked how much would it take on the credit card as their official site says they MAY, not will not shall but MAY charge an extra deposit. The guy said the cost of the rental. I went out made arrangements to have my gas card upped to cover the rental( I have one credit card for emergencies) I spoke to second guy upon return who now said I need cost of rental Plus 250.00 at this point I was done with these people. Talk about not knowing anything. They would not allow my office to rent me a car on the corporate card either. I contacted budget and in less than 1 hour I had my rental. I'm done with enterprise these people have ZERO TRAINING. They say one thing customer service says another. Waste of almost 2 hours of my time. Attached is a pic of what it says on their website about MAY charge a deposit 2 people in same building give 2 different stories so unprofessional. NEVER AGAIN ENTERPRISE IS PATHETIC. To begin with I reserved a premium vehicle they email me let me know they have none, so why give that option and why allow people when there to upgrade if I've already made my reservations and it confirmed. Pathetic. On top Of that I had to call rentals.com to get my collision ins refunded when they called the branch they lied said they had emailed me and said car I requested wasn't available and they had NO CARS AVAILABLE and that I had never showed. bold face lie email said premium weren't available but others were and we could discuss which I called and he said when I got there they would show me what they could give me in replacement, such liars lol. Got a voicemail from Kevin wanting me to call him back for a pick up this morning. I called back and spoke to Alexis, she said Kevin was busy but I will have him call you back. Over an hour I called back, saying Kevin never called me back. She said oh yeah we were so busy and now we are closing the store. I was like WOW and no one even bother to reach out to me?! Today is Sunday and Alexis told she wouldn't be able to get me a car until Wednesday. I don't care if your busy that not my fault I am the one without a car and you never called me back. I told her I still wanted to speak to Kevin. She put me on hold again, comes back telling me Kevin is busy. I said your store is closed, what is he busy doing, locking the doors? Alexis then asked me why I wanted to speak to him and I said I deserve an apology for your lack of customer service. She said no and if I wanted a car for Wednesday. So I can be played and lied to again, NO! ALEXIS is RUDE and LIAR, telling me Kevin was busy while the store is closed also lied about trying to call me back....What else do they lie about? Made a reservation for a premium car, got there and there wasn't one available. Then they try and put me in a tiny suv. Then a Kia and really didn't have any option, so had to take the Kia then checked the Kia to make sure there is a spare tire just in case. NO spare tire, then they tried to sell me roadside assistance, for what there's no spare. Had no choice cus we were in a bind same day so we had to pay the up charge for a full size 7 seater suv with a spare just in case Not a happy camper. This location is fantastically uninterested in renting you a car. I made a reservation and have not recovered a car or a call back in two days. Ended up having to Uber home from my body shop and am now stranded. They don't answer the phone or have vehicles on site regularly based upon most of these reviews. Don't waste your time. read more

Thank you so much Enterprise!!!! I was worried when I saw the reviews but am so happy I went here! I made a reservation over the phone and was immediately transferred to someone who worked there. They got me into a car within 2 hours AND delivered it! The next day I found out that my car would take longer. They ended up changing the dates very easily for me. A week and a half later, my truck is almost ready but I tested positive for COVID. They ended up coming to my house, disinfecting it and laying plastic all over in order to take it back to get a deep cleaning. Thank you soooooo much for all of your help!!!!!!!! read more

My reservation was in place for 2 weeks and confirmed as of this morning but I've been waiting over 3hours for a car to be "found" somewhere across town because they're over booked. The manager stated that they're required to take all reservations even if they don't have inventory- Bad business practices and only interested in profit vs. honoring reservations based on true vehicle availability. read more

I once rented a car from Enterprise for a road trip. The experience was exemplary. So, when my car ran over construction debris on a highway, I asked my insurance company if I could rent from Enterprise again. I had the rental car for over three weeks. Big mistake. Three major problems. 1. The car was promised to be ready at 10:00 am. The company made me wait a half hour for it. I was late for my virtual meeting for work. 2. The car has no smoking signs in it. But, my car had a pungent smoke smell. The person before me must have been a chain smoker. I opened the windows to try to clear out the smoke smell on several drives. My kids complained constantly about the smoke. It was overpowering and gave me a headache. After three weeks, the smoke smell was still overpowering. 3. The car was not cleaned prior to getting it. It had ashes on the dashboard and the rear interior was dirty. Also, the outside had been rinsed, but not cleaned. I asked to speak to the assistant manager. He said the company has been busy with a winter storm. That is why the car was late. But, the company could have contacted me to rearrange a pick-up time. Customer first? Also, according to the assistant manager, this is why it was not cleaned. Finally, since the staff wears masks, they could not smell the smoke. Trust me: If you were in the car with three masks on, you could smell the foulness of it. I am so disappointed. And, the assistant manager just had some explanation for everything. Miserable experience. Please do not rent from Enterprise at Marshall Road until they take accountability for their actions and consider the customer important. read more

My wife and I have been renters from Enterprise for years. NEVER AGAIN!!! You shouldn't either. The BBB rate all Enterprise in San Antonio "F" Here's why: Went online weeks ago to rent a 15 van to attend a very important church devotional at the Alamodome this past weekend. I went into the storefront last week to personally verify they would have my vehicle. The woman said they would be bringing it in for me. I called 2 days before my rental and was told I would have my vehicle. Wouldn't you know I received a voicemail on Saturday; which I didn't read until Sunday, which stated they had a problem with acquiring the van. So...on Sunday, they offered me 2-7 passenger vans. Unfortunately I only had ONE ADAparking pass for the event to take 12 to 14 people; 2 of which were in wheelchairs. All Ariana could say was "I'm sorry but I have 2 vans for the same price, you will have enough seats". I reexplained that it wouldn't work as we only had 1 ADA parking pass. She continued to escalate me by repeating they would give me 2 vehicles. She wasn't listening to anything I was saying. She continued to escalate. At end Ariana decided to not provide me any vehicle. So I was turned away and my 85 year old parents were not allowed to attend the function. Today I talked with Ariana's boss who could only tell me I was the one to blame for escalating the situation. I will NEVER use Enterprise again. read more
