Enterprise Rent-A-Car in SGV is one of the largest rental company in the nation. This location is in Las Tunas ave in San Gabriel. It has a modest selection of rental vehicles from economy to compact to SUV to luxury. I came on a weekend morning to pick up my reserved car; I was met by Gary. Since they don't the compact car that I reserved on the world wide web, he gave me an upgraded to a Mitsubishi Eclipse SUV at the same price. Overall, I am satisfied with Enterprise and their staff. Just talked to Gary, tried letting him know one of the tires on a car I just rented from them seems to have had a slow leak since the day I got it and just wanted to know if that's something they knew about or could help me with. He said "no sir we don't practice banging nails into our tires here. You just hit a tire and you need to get it taken care of" without looking up my or the cars info to see if it was a previous problem. Had a great customer experience with the San Gabriel location and with Enterprise Rent-A-Car in general! Garrett at the San Gabriel locationdid an outstanding job multi tasking. He was basically a one man operation in the morning. He was very patient and professional serving all of the people returning or renting vehicles. My only issue was that they couldn't get the car I had originally reserved and they had a different vehicle for me but do to my height it was not a good fit for me so he gave me a really great SUV. I wanted a fuel efficient and small car to drive to Yosemite. A Toyota Corolla was available from Georgia, so I rented the vehicle with 65,000 miles already driven. The quality of vehicles used to be pretty good, but it seems the economy has hit the car renting business as well. I was happy that this location is less than a mile away from home, so I was able to walk to and from the location after returning the vehicle. There were no issues with the vehicle, and the cost of rental was about the price of fuel for my gas guzzling SUV. Sometimes you have to do a risk vs. gain evaluation to determine what the costs are for travel. In my case, renting was the most efficient, considering fuel, wear and tear and mobility. I would recommend this location for its convenience and ease of rental. read more

Unfortunately, a mile after I drove off in the car I got a warning light saying to have the engine checked. This branch has become my go-to Enterprise branch. Kyle, Jay, Ali (and the guy whose name escapes me but has the impt job of washing and cleaning the vehicles after the rental) work hard to keep a clean and organized branch and their customers completely satisfied. I can tell by the way they take care of their vehicles, talk to customers on the phone and deal with those who visit in store. I've worked with Kyle two times and he's always friendly and personable. He's been super accommodating with making sure I was in a vehicle and on my way, and taking note of when I had priorities that needed to be addressed despite I was too early for my pickup time. Finally, the last couple of times they were very nice about giving me a lift to a location that was a little further away than the branch. read more

Because of a small accident, my car had to be repaired and Geico (the other person's insurance), provided me with a rental car from Enterprise at Las Tunas in San Gabriel. Excellent service! They met me at the repair shop with a very nice car. After my car was done, all I had to do was to take the rental to the Enterprise site and then they drove me back to the repair place to take my own car. Jeremy was very pleasant and professional, took care of paper work very quickly. The same with the first agent who had met me at the repair shop, but I don't remember his name. We've used this Enterprise location several times before and as far as I can remember we've never had a bad experience. All the cars that we have rented have been nice cars and current models. The staff have been very accommodating and willing to take care of all your needs as best as they can. We have a preference in certain makes of cars that we avoid dealing with and that staff has helped us out with that as well. One person that stands out the most in the staff there is "Phally." Phally has helped us a few times before and every time it's been a pleasure. She's always super nice and smiling no matter how swamped she might be that the time, and today was one of those times. Phally was by herself in the office beside the young man who was getting the cars cleaned and ready for the customers. The office was busy and the whole time she was greeting people, answering questions, checking in returned vehicles, answering phones, arranging for clients to get dropped off, and renting us a car and not once did I feel like wasn't the priority while she was helping us... Enterprise you have a special and valuable employee there in Phally. She stayed cool and calm under pressure which was awesome to see because I would've already lost it. I rent a lot of cars when I travel and occasionally even grab a rental for a business trip to Vegas or even something as local as San Diego. When it's so affordable, why not? I remember in the beginning, our relationship started off a little shaky. I rented a car and expected it to be ready the same day. I arrived at the time I had scheduled my reservation and was surprised as I was told that there were no cars, ANYWHERE! They have cars being returned throughout the day, so I could wait for it...but I wanted it NOW. They told me if I had reserved the car 24 hours in advance, they would have had a car for me. Looking back, it makes a lot of sense (although it would be nice if the website's reservations system could give better warnings, have a better gauge of real time inventory, et cetera). I've been spoiled by airports and their huge rental lots with scores of cars to choose from. I decided to give them another chance. I booked my car a day or two in advance and when I arrived, not only did the staff recognize me, but my car was ready. In fact, since that first time, there has always been a car for me. Heck, there are often even upgrade options. On top of all that, this is Enterprise, and just like those commercials say, the'll "pick you up". A full-service solution, and without having to pay those lame airport taxes and facility fees. At this point, I've probably rented from this ERAC 5 times over the last 3 months. For its convenience close to the auto body shop, I came here to help my mother rent a car after she got into a minor fender bender. I really didn't care how much they charged because the other party was paying for it through their insurance. I must admit that the prices here are quite decent. The rental was less then 25.00 a day through an insurance claim... but a bit more expensive if it's for personal use aside from the claim which was about 5.00 more. I don't know my prices for rentals, but I do realize every rent a car business is quite competitive in their pricing. It has a lot to due with the day of the week, the amount of time the rental is needed, and the kind of car. Anyhow, this place was very professional. Melissa, who was our sales rep was courteous. She took the time to explain in detail about our rental. Even though they didn't have a good selection cars in their lot, she had a good attitude and a great personality. The car my mom chose was just a regular Ford Fiesta. Not a flashy vehicle, but just something she needed to go from point A to B. It was quite clean with a few scratches around the sides. The rep was really good at pointing out the issues. Overall... my mom was really happy with Melissa along with the car she chose. I have heard of disaster stories along with not so courteous reps towards some customers. I am just glad we didn't have a bad experience and everything went accordingly. We enjoyed talking to him about how nice Grand Canyon coz that's where we were goin for our roadtrip. I have been renting from this specific branch (San Gabriel) because its close to my home, but there service has gone down the drain, I walked in in the morning and said good morning to the representative and he says "do you have a reservation", I let it fly, they take forever to get the paperwork done and the cars are always super dirty inside, for sure they are not adhering to Covid cleaning standards.... cars are always low on gas or no gas at all, I have asked for corporates phone number but they always give you the run around or they hang up on you.... Enterprise car rentals has become one of the worst companies for customer service that I have encountered , employees don't care about the customers.... VERY DISAPPOINTED!! read more

I needed to rent a car while my personal car was repaired. My car insurance is Geico, and I'm covered for $35 a day. Geico got an agreement with Enterprise and I was directed to the San Gabriel branch to pick up a rental. When the Enterprise employee showed me my rental, I specifically asked him if the rental cost would exceed $35 a day. His answer was "this car costs $35 a day, and it's all good". Once I returned the car the invoice I was told there would be $81 charged to my credit card. I asked the employee why I was charged, and he told me it was for "taxes". I rented through Geico and Enterprise before, and I NEVER had to pay a cent. I later received the invoice by email and realized they had given me a car that exceeded the daily $35 without telling me. This is pure and simple dishonesty and lie. Worst business practice I've ever seen. I'd like to report the staff member who did that if possible. Thanks. read more

Came here because my car was at a shop nearby for repairs. There was a lot of employees there so I didn't have to wait long to get service either. The service at first was great and everyone was very professional. They offered me 3 cars to choose from as well which was nice. When I returned the car, the girl was nice, quick, gave me my printout and drove me back to the car shop. Done! Love that. Now why I gave it 3 stars. Actually this part of the service was so intimidating and manipulating I had to drop 2 stars. I wanted to give him benefit of the doubt and to understand he was probably just trying to do his job but this is usually the one of the problems with rental car places. Due to circumstances, my car shop decided to pay for my rental car until my car was done. With that said, I really shouldn't have to pay anything. The guy who helped me was nice but quite manipulative and pushy at the same time if you ask me. He kept pushing me to buy the basic or this max insurance coverage thing. I told him I don't need to nor do I want to pay for anything. Of course he tried to push why I needed to. So with the going back and forth, I decided to call my husband and have him talk to him. My husband said don't get anything addition but what it is. When I hung up with my husband, the first thing the guy said was, "ok, so at least the basic, right?" I told him, "No". My husband said nothing, so why, basic?" By that comment, he tried to manipulate me. Then he becomes pushy and throws a guilt on me with..."Well I thought you just wanted me to give info to your husband, not have him decide for you. Its your policy, not his. If anything happens, its your fault." I'm like, "and I want nothing else but what it is and to decline everything your offering me." Seriously?! I wanted to add, "and that is none of your business and I don't know what kind of relationship with his gf or wife but there is obviously some major trust issues!" and obviously...I personally don't trust him anymore with the way he has been talking to me." Basically....my rating is for that one employee. Everyone else in there (the 2 other girls who helped me when I returned the car) were very nice. So I am not speaking for the whole place. I don't want to list a name as i believe people can improve themselves if HE ever reads this. Note to employees: NEVER PUSH customers to get insurance. You can explain but don't start pushing as that is bad business. Like when I shop for cars. Give me all the info, the numbers etc. and the choice is the customers, not yours. Who has positive experiences at car rental places during the holidays??? Before this week, NOT ME and especially NOT at this location. A couple years back I had an awful experience at this location while visiting my family for the holidays; reserved a car that ended up not being there, and we also basically couldn't find a car at any of the nearby enterprise branch locations either for at least a couple days afterwards. This winter, however, there is new management, staff seemed well trained and friendly, and everything was on schedule and as promised. No complaints, just profound relief. read more

Brian was absolutely a delight to work with! When renting out a car, I came almost at closing time because I had work. He was able to take care of me still and get me a car. At first I had to rent out a Jeep because that's all they had left. The next day when I called to exchange cars, Brian told me to come on in and everything was fine to do so. I was able to switch to a Ford Focus at no problem! Dropping the car off was a breeze as well! Would recommend to pay this enterprise a visit! read more

Was a frequent renter from this location when I lived in Southern California. At the time the service was impeccable, but not anymore...possibly due to change of management. On a recent trip to So Cal, needed a car and reserved a vehicle from this location. The manager (or assistant manager) was the only individual working there, and had such a bad attitude. No courteous customer service whatsoever as I have come to expect from Enterprise. Reserved a standard sized vehicle, which I needed, and they only had 1 vehicle that was filthy and had not been cleaned out (trash all over the floors and seats, broken windshield, and not washed). Was not willing to give me any other vehicle, nor were they willing to check other enterprise locations for a suitable replacement. As I needed the car and time was of the essence, I took it but ended up not being able to use it as a putrid smell started emanating from the car. Ended up using Uber instead. Returned the car later that day, and the same person would not refund my money and still charged me for a one day's rental. What makes this experience worse was the blatant accusation by this person saying that I was doing something "shady". Will not use this location again. I am a frequent renter from Enterprise, and have a Gold Status with the Enterprise Plus program. This is the only place where I have had a bad experience. From looking at some of the other user's experiences there, I guess I am not alone. read more

Wow. I'm completely blown away by the amazing experience I just had with this Enterprise location! My initial interaction was with Erika who I believe is the branch manager, and it's no wonder she is because she really takes care of you and manages to exude the perfect mix of professionalism with a personable and friendly demeanor. Justin took care of me the day I actually came in for the rental, he and I immediately hit it off and he exemplified the perfect candidate for manager-in-training, which I think he will excel at. I wanted a specific SUV that they didn't have on hand but he happily took me to the nearest branch in Pasadena to get me exactly what I wanted. Having to deal with car repairs is a headache but thankfully I went to service king in San Gabriel and was fortunate to have enterprise take care of my rental. This is my 2nd time using them and as always they were outstanding. I've had poor rental experiences with other places where as soon as I drove off their lot I had to put gas in or the car was extremely dirty. Kyle picked us up from the repair facility to take us to enterprise. He then got my paperwork taken care of in only a couple of minutes and showed us our rental. It was very clean inside and out and had a full tank of gas. Highly recommended and I'll definitely be coming back for all my future rentals! The entire staff was very professional and kind.
