I took my in-laws there to pick up a car they had rented to drive back to Omaha. The manager was very matter of fact: we have no cars. No excuse. No reason. Meanwhile, a customer came in and got a car and another person dropped off a car. I questioned the manager: she gets a car and a car just got dropped off; how can you not have a car? Her response was, "At this point I'm not comfortable renting them a car". It was so odd. The manager had no personality. Just a blank stare - like a zombie. The first car I rented was only supposed to smell a little like smoke. I got down the road and the pot smell came out. Today I went to pick up my rental today and I was informed that they were not honoring rental agreements today. This is after paying for a Lyft to get there. I had to go to Chicago to catch a train because no one would help. I do not recommend this business! read more

I just wanted to say thank you to Lidia at the front Desk. I picked up a Tahoe for our Kalahari trip and she was very attentive and professional. I picked up my rental at around 8am and the place was slammed. She was the only one there at the time and did amazing. When I returned she was very helpful and accommodating. Excellent customer service!!! I have had the best service from this location for the last year. I rent cars for business, sometimes 3 or 4 a month. They know me every time I come in. They ask about my vacations and work. They found my umbrella in a car in November and kept it until they saw me again in February! They always work quickly and provide options. They have upgraded my rental several times based on what the have available. They are always smiling and friendly. On a side note--Enterprise needs to work out something with the landlord. I've rented from this location before and it has always been a good experience. However, I made a reservation for a van in early April for a mid-June vacation. I received a call one day prior to picking up the rental that Enterprise had overbooked themselves for the van and they did not have a van available for my family. I was not only disappointed but very upset at the short notice. Having made a reservation 2 months in advance but being informed that they overbooked only 24 hours prior to my reservation is completely unprofessional and unacceptable. Enterprise will use whatever DECEPTIVE and SHADY business tactics necessary to get all the money they can out of you. Enterprise has always been fine for me until I was forced to deal with the DAMAGE RECOVERY UNIT after a pebble flew up and cracked the windshield of my rental car. After agreeing to an amount and paying it in full the day I returned the rental, ENTERPRISE DRUG ME ALONG AND LIED TO ME FOR THREE MONTHS. I was repeatedly told the issue was resolved on the phone, yet their written communication contradicted their verbal communication as Enterprise attempted to collect additional $$$ from me. I requested written confirmation that the issue was resolved multiple times and was told I would receive it, yet I never did. ENTERPRISE WASTED HOURS OF MY TIME during this process. The last straw for me was when I received an "updated" claim that merely reduced the additional amount they were trying to collect from me. This is when I realized THIS WASN'T JUST A MATTER OF A SLOW SYSTEM OR POOR COMMUNICATION AT ENTERPRISE. THIS WAS INTENTIONAL DECEPTION and an attempt by Enterprise to collect anything I might be willing to cave and pay. It wasn't until AFTER I left 1-star reviews on Google and Yelp and informed them I had done so that Enterprise suddenly found time to resolve the issue. They did close the claim and sent me written confirmation, but not until after Enterprise wasted hours of my time and PROVED THEMSELVES UNTRUSTWORTHY. She also went through all of my options and what is covered in each one. Left nothing for surprises. I've used Enterprise multiple times before and while I have always had a good experience this was my first time using the Schererville location and this one is by far the best!! They picked me up quickly, got me in and out, and were some of the nicest people I've ever met. Jackson was very nice and personable, answered all my questions, and made the whole process smooth. Was given enterprise in schererville as option for rental after minor fender bender. Spoke to agent that arranged date of pickup from body shop and time of pick up. Luckily I made it to the body shop a little early and didn't drop my keys in night box but enterprise never showed, bodyshop called and they didn't have a car! Enterprise took my number and said they would call me if they could get a car from another location. 45 minutes later no call. Called back and agent stated "I'm sorry I have customers here". Am I not a customer? Very dismissive offering no answer other than it was because they had a different phone number- not what I gave reservations! Asked to have manager call me, two days later and no call. Also called corporate, escalation department. Was told regional manager would call- 2 days later no call. I will never use enterprise for business or pleasure. I understand mistakes happen, but what about service recovery? read more

One star is given because agent was friendly and skilled in customer service otherwise experience was very poor. They could not honor my online reservation and i am now stuck home missing meetings without a car. This is not only horrible service but rude. Based on the things the agent said, it sounds like this situation happens often - they allow reservations be made with the hope they can honor them. read more

I had a great interaction with the men in this office. Very nice and knowledgable and remained very calm with 10 customers in the office. I am giving them a 3/5 because there was one woman in the office. She did nothing. She never got up to help anyone. She appeared extremely rude and lazy. When it came to light that she was the manager, I was very surprised. She wasn't managing anything. Kudos to you two men doing all the work because of you I will be back!
