These guys set me up with a rental car last minute just before they closed. My hero Oz at American Tire scheduled a pick up for me and my daughter, before you knew Ryan was there. Ryan gave us a bit of history on our way to the store about the car shows, 17 Mile Drive as well as all the golf courses. Inside we were greeted by Chase who quickly had us checked in and out with a new car. The car didn't have an overpowering smell of fragrance that some rentals have. The car was clean and comfortable to drive. Enterprise has always offered competitive if not better rental rates. Their customer service especially at this location is spectacular. This Enterprise's customer service is horrible! My car rental was supposed to arrive at my auto body shop & they confirmed with my husband multiple times that the rental will be dropped off ON-time at the car shop. An hour after my scheduled appointment, my car rental still did not arrive. They had to shuttle me & my 1-year old son, his large car seat & jogger to their main office. I then had to wait another 30 minutes to even speak to a representative. This office also does not have a bathroom in the same building, so I had to walk across the lot to another building to use the restroom to then wait again because there's only one bathroom. Once I got back to the office, the representative offered me a Rubicon or a Ram truck. I asked what about the other cars in the lot that are similar to my mid-size suv, and the representative said all those cars were being recalled. I'm very disappointed with the poor planning of logistics on Enterprise. Had I known I'd waste almost two hours to get a non-comparable vehicle, I would've made other arrangements. read more

I am a travel healthcare professional and we have a social media group that referenced Mo (the branch manager) and how awesome his Enterprise branch is. I first met Batal, who staff at the Salinas Enterprise and also Mo's little brother, on New Years's eve via telephone. Batal was super helpful answering questions about my return and he was so very gregarious also. I was returning a vehicle that evening and I was fortunate to have Mo there to make my rental car return experience effortless as he completed it so efficiently and arranged for another stellar Enterprise team member to drive me to my appointment nearby. I choose Enterprise when traveling for work or leisure because of Enterprise Seaside's Mo and his Enterprise team where his customer service oriented and results oriented mind-set is the default setting of this Enterprise branch. I also experienced this exceptional customer service with Chase on a Saturday morning as this Enterprise branch proudly serves the Monterey community on Saturdays. I asked for Mo but he was off and Chase happily and confidently asked how he could help me. Don't bother to make a reservation with either enterprise or Alamo because that doesn't guarantee you a vehicle. They will tell you they have inventory only for them to not accommodate your reservation. Don't believe them if you call and ask to confirm that your reservation will be accommodated because it won't. There's no solution to this problem either. They will pretty much tell you to gfy. read more

Excellent customer service & communication. My rental is based on post-accident personal car that needs repair. I had full coverage (shout out to Farmers Insurance!!), so I was referred to this particular office where I was given a choice of any car in the fleet. Sadly, I'm a minimalist / no frills person, so I picked a basic car that emphasized safety & gas mileage. Vehicle is clean, well-maintained, & devoid of weird smells. I had an issue with the back wiper blade & it was quickly resolved by onsite staff. The office is clean & welcoming. Staff use tablets & desk computers, so the flow is quick. It's a busy place at 805 am, but everyone was paired with an agent. The only person who complained started out with complaints: 'I want..' 'I need..' 'I don't like..' Damn, woman. Take a breath & let them do their jobs. There was a vehicle available in every option -- EV, truck, van, mini, maxi, luxury, speed demon -- srsly, whatever we wanted (or could afford!). Communication has been via phone, txt, & email. It's all be professional & succinct. This is the best car rental experience I have had ever! My car was in the shop and they picked me up from the body shop to their establishment. I was in and out in a timely manner. I was able to pick up my car and was on my way in minutes! They were so friendly and professional! I would definitely rent from this establishment again!!! The car was clean and there was sufficient gas for me to travel around the whole 8 days I had this vehicle! The staff also allowed me to drop off my rental at the body shop where I had my car fixed! It was the easiest thing ever! I took the rental and dropped it off at the shop and picked up my repaired vehicle! The enterprise staff picked up my car from the auto shop!!! OMG! WOW!! I am absolutely thrilled because I saved so much time by not having to drop it off at the rental facility then getting a ride to the shop. I had a pickup for a Nissan centra at 10:30. I arrived a little before and spoke to the manager who was very nice and in a cheerful mood. Unfortunately, the car was not ready until 11:15. They did offer a doge challenger for the same price but that was a huge car and a v6. Also, the insurance on that car would have cost more per day so I declined. The manager was nice enough to offer us a reimbursement on our coffee while we waited for our car. I was very appreciative of that and it made the wait go by quicker. Overall I would recommend this branch! I think there's a few hiccups but they dealt with them pretty well! In fact I came back a day later and rented another car! read more

The first time I rented from here (around a month ago), I had successfully gotten my rental vehicle and already was hours away from Monterey when I got a phone call from Nate. He was calling me to let me know that he hadn't entered any reimbursement for the cab ride I'd taken earlier that day to rent the car and he just needed to know how much the cab ride had cost me. What kind of ANGEL does that?!? I was so shocked and majorly impressed. I still tell people about that thoughtful act all the time. Same thing with Brandon two weeks later. In a two week period, I needed two rentals from this location. I needed a large SUV each time. The first time they stated that they might not have one, even though I reserved one almost a week ahead of time. But after I insisted that I needed what I had asked and reserved, they had a vehicle brought from San Jose. I got the vehicle I requested. The second weekend I had no issues. I recently returned a rental car to Enterprise in Seaside. My car was being repaired through an insurance claim and I was worried that the process would be time-consuming and stressful. Cynthia, the person who first helped me, was thorough, efficient and friendly. She answered all of my questions very concisely. I returned the car sooner than anticipated and was offered a full refund of the unused, pre-paid insurance as well as my security deposit. Zach was friendly and quick to process the return and he had a courtesy shuttle ready for me with literally no delay. They put me in a car that had the gas dial on red. when the guy gave me the car he said you better get gas quick I immediately went to Cost Co Gas and only needed $10 worth. The dial was stuck. I had to put gas in all the time because I never knew when the gas would run out. Their customer service was terrible. I don't think anyone there knows what they are doing. I plan to go to hertz down the street it I need to rent a car again. read more

Hands-down the worst experience with customer service I've ever received. All three separate occasions that I called this location they were really rude: one person in particular. Nathan. They matched the subpar experience in person. They tried to give me a vehicle- a small 5 seater SUV which would not suit my needs (too small for a family with 3 kids in car seats) and I asked for at least a 7 seat vehicle multiple days in advance, calling ahead like they told me to "so we can make sure to get you a vehicle that will meet your needs." I needed a minivan while my minivan was in an auto body shop for a couple weeks. I was met with "oh well it's the Sea Otter classic right now so we really don't have any vans." Fine. Even though I called multiple times like they told me to. When I told them what they had would not work, Nathan didn't say anything to me, walked in with major attitude and huffed to the manager "Apparently, that vehicle won't work." They then gave me a Suburban with a quarter tank of gas which they tried to pass off as 3/8 of a tank and it reeked of marijuana. Forget good customer service, I gave them the benefit of the doubt but they proved incapable of respectful service. I'm wondering if we got less than satisfactory customer service because an insurance company was paying for the rental due to a collision which was not our fault. Either way I would not recommend this location at all. Ever. read more

We had an appointment to pick up a car today at 1:30, drove to the location and they were not able to accommodate me. Apparently they decided today to sell much of their inventory and the only vehicle available was a mini van. I live in a small town with MINUSCULE parking spaces and a mini van wouldn't work. Of course they had plenty of Tesla's, however they would rather send us home empty handed... and expect us to drive back at their convenience with our hat in our hands in hopes they'll meet the contractual agreement with USAA and actually have a car available. I rent here every now and then since it is close to my house and has no airport taxes and fees... YAY... Yesterday I have to say, that renting a car was not excruciating. First they close at 6pm and I was running late from work, I was so worried I would not make it on time. I call them up to let them know I am about 10 minutes away , the lady says she will wait for me. I arrive barely at 6pm and Theresa was so accommodating. I did not print out my confirmation which states i get 50% off so my rate for the weekend is approximately $60 bucks. She goes in the computer and quotes my price as $110... I was like, uhmmm no, please look again and she did find my rate as quoted. I got my car and keys we rent over the scratches and details. Was in and out of Enterprise in less than 15minutes... nice.. usually I have to wait almost an hour to get out of a car rental location. read more

Very very impressed by the customer service I received from Daniel! I originally made a reservation at the Monterey Airport location for 6pm. They called me around 2 to see if I wanted to push my reservation for 8pm as they had no vehicles available. I couldn't do that. It was Friday and I was heading to LA to be with my family. We had just lost a family member so I needed to be on the road as soon as I was out of work. I headed over to the Seaside location and Daniel was on it!!! He helped me out in about 15-20 minutes and I was on the road! He was very kind, knowledgeable, and just amazing! My hero and life saver! I set-up a rental car online to be picked up at noon. As things so often do i life, plans changed. My aunt went into the ICU at the hospital last night and I found out this morning when i woke up. I immediately called enterprise to see if i could pick the car up earlier and was blessed that Julio picked up the phone. He understood the urgency and immediately went to work on my behalf. With the help of Zach and Nate (from the Del Monte, Monterey location) the 3 of them got it worked out for me to pick up the car i had reserved much earlier than the pickup time and I'll be by my aunt's side much earlier than I would have been otherwise. These guys are true CHAMPIONS of customer service and I will be renting from Enterprise EVERY time i need a car going forward because they simply could not have been more helpful, compassionate, and efficient in getting my needs met. I've been using this location for about 15-20 years, after a recent rental and the great service I got it occurred to me to share the realization that I've almost always had exceptional service here over that time. On this most recent rental, the agent gave me a upgrade to a premium vehicle and covered it under the insurance maximums and also fudged the fuel reading in my favor, all while giving me zero push on the optional throwaway coverage upgrades.... all while being pleasant and personable. They failed to show up with a car when promised, and hung up on me when I called about it. I was polite, not rude, although I was complaining about being stuck without a car, and asking what to do. They (he) just hung up. When I later returned the car, they were supposed to pick up the car during working hours, when asked. But they left the car there overnight. This resulted in the car being damaged by hit-and-run, which they did not take responsibility for. I had to pay. Combine that with poor customer communications, and I think I will avoid them in the future. P.S. They responded by asking me to contact them. I needed a rental car for a business trip with a good size trunk. This Enterprise on Echo Avenue has a very poor choice of cars. They offered me an old bright yellow race car, or a huge SUV. I had no choice but to take an older SUV and if did make my business trip which was a long drive very uncomfortable for me. I had to wait a day and a half to even get that car. The remote had a poor battery so it was difficult to get the rear door open to load packages. I have used Enterprise for years with great results but not in this area. I strongly suggest you find another Enterprise that does a larger volume & gives you a real choice of better kept and more up to date cars. read more

My need for a car was met in another way, but prior to that happening, Daniel went out of his way to help me obtain a car one way or another. Even after the Seaside location closed on a Saturday, he still called me back awhile later to make sure he gave me an update. Gabriel is another employee there who was also helpful in trying to troubleshoot for me.
