Had a bad experience at first, problem with prior payment arrangements though an online company and getting double charged for insurance by online and enterprise. Lol was already having a bad morning. Enterprise didnt budge on their kindness and politeness and we're extremely patient and willing to work with me. I rented a car for what was initially a week, then learned my van needed to be in the shop longer. Enterprise was very accommodating, extended my rental period and acknowledged it might change. This location is fantastic!!! I booked a car through Expedia at 4:30 am, called the location as early as I could and requested the car earlier than I had originally said. I needed the car for an emergency trip to California, and they were more than happy to comply. I had to rent a car while mine was in the body shop, and felt lucky that the Lake City Enterprise office is just a few blocks from my house. I didn't have time to call ahead and reserve, so when I arrived there was no plain vanilla vehicle available (I had been warned that insurance would not pay for any "fancy" vehicle). Staff were very helpful, and because Enterprise partners with my insurance company, they gave me a brand new, VERY nice SUV at the plain vanilla price. My car took longer to fix than expected, and I was able to easily re-up the rental over the phone. Then, when I finally returned the car, they passed on dinging me for a just-acquired windshield chip. Very professional, very nice folks. Highly recommended. read more

I have to say, considering the circumstances of why I needed a rental car, this was the most pleasant experience one could hope for. The guys at this place aim for excellent customer service. They remembered me when I called, gladly exchanged the rental I had originally that didn't work for me, and went out of their way to help out when I was a ding dong and left my garage door opener in the original rental. I have rented from this branch quite a few times. I've probably driven most of the cars they have on this lot. The customer service is always great, though they are a small branch and are often short-handed if too many folks show up at once. I've had to wait a few minutes sometimes, but that's because they're taking good care of the customer ahead of me, and I don't mind that. I always get a call the next day asking me if there's anything they could have done better, and thanking me for by business. The staff is what gets them that 5th star. read more

Positives: Car was in good running order Took car up to Mt. Rainier, had some steep roads to get to our starting hiking points and car handled those inclines well. Car was clean Car came with nearly full tank of gas Customer service was good Was able to return car after office hours and drop key in drop box without suffering any penalty. Negatives: Price was a little high compared to other rental car companies in the area (but Enterprise may have better service/cars than those others, not sure). I have used Enterprise before and had good experience which is why I went with them for this trip. Other places were unknowns. read more

I was dropping my car off to have service done and would be without it for 4 hours or more. I didn't want to wait around for that long, and I also needed to run a few errands, so I called Enterprise to get a car for the day. They said to call them as soon as I dropped my car off, which I did. They were about a 10 minute drive from the Lake City lot to where I was, but 30 minutes went by and no one had come to pick me up yet. I called back and was told they were taking 3 to 4 other customers around first and then would come get me. I was not willing to wait for who knows how long, especially since one of the reasons I wanted a car in the first place was so I wasn't just sitting around waiting! I told them to forget it and just took a cab home. I guess my errands can wait until my car is done. read more

Watch your back with this place; they will sucker you. Make sure you read your auto lease carefully and that you understand everything. Because they want to take your money, not make you happy or be fair with you. My advice is NEVER buy additional insurance from this place. My new car needed "detailing," so Toyota of Lake City arranged a "free car rental" with Enterprise, which is just up Lake City Way a few blocks. "Julie," the employee at Enterprise, asked me if I'd like more insurance for Enterprise car rental for collision, injury, etc. I thought since the rental car was free and paid for by Toyota I could afford this small added amount for more insurance--just to be safe. So I took the additional insurance. However, "Julie" did not make it clear that the payment I made of $21 was good only for 24 hours. She then had me initial all sorts of things on the rental contract. Of course, I did not read each one--there were about 15 of them, and therefore, as a result, I failed to read or understand that I would be charged an additional insurance fee if I kept the car for more than 24 hours. Next day, I went to Lake City Toyota a 9 am to see if my new car was ready; they said no, it wasn't; I should return at noon. Naturally I had forgotten that the rental car was due back at 10 am and I didn't want to sit around watching the television, so I went for a drive using the rental, which I then returned at noon. Everything seemed okay. The girl (not Julie) who was there said nothing about the car being late and that I would owe more money, but then that evening I received in my email a snippy little letter from a fellow named "Dustin" or "Justin," that said I was to be charged $41 dollars for the insurance because the car had been returned 3 hours late. The girl did not tell me that when I returned the car or I would not only have remonstrated with her and her company and would have spoken to the management at Lake City Toyota to have them pay the additional amount. Enterprise made me feel like a sucker, and you, too, will feel like a sucker unless you pay attention to the details they keep quiet about. read more

Two-day rental while my car was in for a repair. The representative was at the repair shop even before I got there. Paper work was super quick. I got upgraded by a couple of levels or more. Dropped off the key the next day with the front desk of the repair shop. Price was good. Really happy. Would use them again; in fact I am renting Enterprise again next week at a different location. read more

The car itself was fine. However, I found a plastic bottle with about 1 1/2 inches of chew and spit under the seat. How do you miss that when cleaning the car between rentals? When I called to get the address so I could return the car (I originally picked it up at the repair shop), the young man on the phone was confused by my question 'What is the cross street?" He replied "There is no street called "Cross." When I asked for a landmark to help me find the place, he said "Well, we are just here on Lake City Way." Good thing I am not squeamish and good thing I have Google Maps. read more

I've just recently rented a car from Enterprise on Lake City Way 4 weekends in a row due to their Great Customer Service and their prices. I was very impressed with the way they handled the customers as well as the upkeep of their cars. Every car I rented was in great condition. They always offered me a ride before I could even ask. By the second time returning for a weekend special they already knew my name and were very polite and held great conversation. The car rides home were never awkward, and you got to know a little more about each one of them. I don't think I will go anywhere else if I need to rent a car. Keep up the great work! read more

Great service. This was (sadly for the broader circumstances) the third time I've used an Enterprise rental in connection with auto body work on my personal driver up the street on Lake City Way. The Lake City office has always been on time meeting me at the body shop, transporting me back to Enterprise, and getting the car off the lot quickly. Enterprise tried hard to compensate me for the fiasco of the weekend by giving me a steep discount and free upgrade on a separate rental that I had already reserved (I would have cancelled it, but I worried I wouldn't be able to find another car in time). Employees Jabari and Kale gave me great customer service because of what I went through, bending over backwards to make up for the mistake, which is a systematic issue beyond their control. The bottom line for me, though, is that discounts are a nice gesture that can't really make up for a bad experience. I found out that online Enterprise reservations are not actual reservations because they confirm even when no cars are available, and customers cannot rest assured knowing their will be a car available for them. Enterprise is cheap and has many locations around Seattle, so I might end up using them again in a pinch, but if so I will call rather than try to reserve a vehicle online. read more

i needed a rental while my car undergo repair. prior arrangement was done and i picked up the rental parked on the street outside collision1 body shop on 11/19. i returned the rental at 4:01pm at exact same spot two days later. received a parking ticket in the mail issued at 5:33pm 11/21. i immediately called the manager and was given the run around and was even asked why i couldn't just pay the fine? i went to enterprise in person with the document from the autobody shop stating that i dropped off the keys at 4:01pm about and hour and half before the ticket was issued. the representative just flat out said that the ticket was not their responsibility, not until the keys are on their hand. the citation was for $72. it wasn't really about the money, it's more about the principle. imho, it's not good business practice to dump the responsibility on the customer just because of minor technicality. i will never ever rent a vehicle from enterprise specially the lake city branch and i will advise all my family and friends to do the same. read more
