We forked out the $69.00 rental for the day as we wanted to explore the city before checking into our hotel, and go shopping. It was also nice as my husband and son used the car as a crash pad to catch some ZzzzS while I was parked at Pike Market Place and went shopping alone. The return wasn't as smooth as the pick-up from the airport as the street signs were CONFUSING as heck. No left turn except for buses onto 3rd, what??? We circled around and around using Waze app due to multiple one-way streets. The entrance to Alamo for the garage wasn't really marked, either. It was the Twilight Zone. After about a stupid and ridiculous 20- minute drive being stuck on one-way streets and circling around and around, I said, "screw this! I am turning LEFT!" Once into the building, there were no signs, so we drove up a few flights to an Alamo booth and idled the car, wondering what to do. There were no signs, did I already say that? There was a lone woman in a booth talking to what appeared to be a customer. I had to get out of the car to ask her what to do, and she said we could just park the car. She was nice, though. You need sleuthing skills to return a car here. Convenient, but only if you know what you are doing.

When I showed up to the location, the app said my car was ready, but when arrived they had no vehicles and never notified me prior. This location was 50 minutes out of myway, if they would've called me. It would have saved me time and fuel driving to the location. The members at the counter were absolutely no help, so I called customer service and had to highly encourage them to contact other Hertz locations in the area to see if they had any vehicles available for us. Customer service had the audacity to tell me they could charge a cancellation fee when they're the ones that didn't have our vehicle available. This Hertz location and the telephone customer service needs a complete overhaul.

It looked exactly like those windshield chip repairs that people get done for cheap. Over the course of the rental that repair failed and a crack started running from it. I was honest and disclosed this upon return. The woman who I presume to be the manager because of how she was behaving and interacting with had an immediate attitude and lied straight to my face about that windshield. She was nasty and accused me of cracking the windshield before I reminded her that I had paid for the damage liability waiver. She lied to my face when she said that they had just replaced that entire windshield before I checked out the car. Over the approximately 30 minutes that this return took, I observed this manager speak rudely to both her staff members and one other customer standing in the lobby. I was unable to get a written receipt because their printer was out of ink and this manager rudely snatched a piece of of paper out of an employee's hand snapping "You're not supposed to be printing those out for customers anyway!!!" This location is a complete disaster. I am never renting through Hertz for business or pleasure ever again. This manager needs to be stepped down or put on probation because her attitude is that horrific.

Had to take to Firestone in Las Vegas (100 miles put of my way) to replace tires on the hopes I get reimbursed. The guy "helping" us was so apathetic, wouldn't make eye contact nor do a "walk around" the car with us like every car place does. He filled it out himself then told me to initial it then once my fiancé and I got to the car, found at least eight other dings on the car--scrapes, dents, chips--what not. So I had to go back into the office, tell him and mark everything down again while he just initialed it. Once we got to driving, we smelled gasoline and saw that the passenger side seat has multiple gas marks on it along with scrapes on the radio. No mention of that on his report either--funny. We returned to a different location and that went smoothly and get this--we even got a smile and greeting from the guy helping us--like customer service or something. Pass on the Roosevelt location!
