I always rent with Enterprise, because they understand customer service. I laugh when I see the huge lines of frustration for every other rental car place, or customers complaining that their rental place doesn't have any staff at the counter. Enterprise doesn't seem to ever have this problem. Faced with expensive options to fly into Flagstaff, or a pricey shuttle bus from Phoenix to Sedona, we instead chose to rent a car for a one way trip. We picked up in Phoenix on Sunday and dropped off in Sedona on Monday and everything was super easy and painless. Thomas here in Sedona got me taken care of with a smile, and I was out of there in less than 5 minutes. I didn't even have time to stay and play with the bean bag toss in the lobby. 5 stars for Thomas , the rep who helped us, and 5 stars for the great midsize Mazda SUV! Thomas was so fast. I think we were driving away 10 minutes after we arrived. Wow, right? Such fast service and we didn't even have a reservation when we arrived in. My only complaint is that they don't do any weekend drop offs which is when almost everyone would need to drop off, and if you don't get there before their early close, you have to pay for two full extra days. They really need to figure out a fair after hours drop off situation. So that cost us a couple hundred dollars unfortunately, but because he was so great and the car was flawless inside and out, I would definitely rent from them again. read more

Wife and I got stuck in Sedona. Rental car for phoenix broke down, company towed it somewhere. Went to Enterprise to get a rental. I have a Mastercard / debit that works as both credit card and debit. Enterprise website states as long as it has the logo, you can use it. It has the Mastercard logo and they wouldn't accept it. No family or friends in this state. Never had a problem before. Store associates are horrible. My wife is in tears about being stuck here and no way of getting anywhere. Thought they would help like other reviews said they did. Must be false review's because this location doesn't help people, it sends them away. read more

We arrived to Sedona by RV and couldn't find an Uber to drop me off at the Enterprise so they arranged to pick me up and drop me off, saving me a huge hassle trying to get an alternate ride. We rented a car at the Enterprise in Sedona and the nice young man who handled both the rental and return was most gracious and has excellent customer service skills. We had a bit of an issue with the car alarm going off for no reason and he handled the issue and we were very satisfied with the entire experience. We had to rent a car for a few days, so we called up Enterprise. They told us they had no available cars in Economy, but they could give us a Chrysler 200 Convertable at a Compact Car price... SWEET...that sealed the deal! Picking it up, I don't think we've ever had such a friendly agent! She was super bubbly and showed us all the basic car features (I don't think that any other rental agent has done that for us either) Great service at this location! As with most services in Sedona, they seem to be understaffed at times, and are constantly helping multiple people at once. This place is horrible!!! One guy had been there for only four days and the other just finishing his second week. Neither had any idea how to do their job. The car we rented was dirty and full of garbage which we had to clean. We were told not to fill the tank, however, The gas tank was not full. If we hadn't filled it up we would have ran out of gas. Upon returning the vehicle, we explained why we filled the tank and were spoken to rudely. They tried to blame us for a scratch on the bumper which was there when we picked it up. Then these idiots tried to charge us for gas and the insurance we declined when we picked up the car. The only somewhat positive experience was Steve, he had been there for 9 days but was trying to be helpful and was nice. 100% appalled by this experience. DO NOT RENT FROM HERE!!!!!!! I reserved a luxury car (or similar) weeks in advance for a road trip in Sedona. I checked several times week before and was ASSURED my Cadillac (or similar) rental would be there Monday at noon. We called the day before to see if the car was in and was told by Victor the car wasn't there yet, but would definitely be there by noon the next day. On Monday I called at 10:30 am (remember, I'm guaranteed a car at noon) and was told by a very snippy Brian that NO CARS were available; nothing was coming back. I very strongly suggested he call Phoenix and have them get some cars up to Sedona. Promises, promises and at 4:30 I called again. Not one vehicle available. Finally, on Thursday, I borrowed a vehicle from an airport employee! Reservations mean NOTHING to the Sedona office. This place is a joke. I made a rental arrangement with the "manager" Emma Griffin three days before I was scheduled to pick up the Nissan Maxima they said would be available at the end of February. Then it snowed heavily in Sedona the next couple of days. So I called the office on Saturday concerned about the rental but no one answered the phone. I kept calling but still no answer. So I drove my all wheel drive car to their office in the snow and lo and behold, they were closed. No tracks in the snow that someone could have made if they were actually there. Also, no Nissan Maxima on the lot either. But they said they were open! So today when I discussed this with manager, Emma, she blamed it on someone else as she was off the day I was supposed to pick up the car. She said Todd was working in Sedona that day, but when I went there, no Todd. So I guess they just canceled all the appointments for that weekend as the state closed the roads in and out of town due to the snow. But Todd said he was working ALL day there. Funny...he must have drifted into the office with the snow! Pathetic way to run a good business. read more

I was shocked to be turned down by your branch after making a reservation online, and calling your customer service line to confirm the details of my trip. I thought Enterprise was a car rental service and not one to make me feel so uncomfortable and stressed. Not to mention I was not made aware of the fees when I made the reservations, I would have made other plans. I was stranded there after working the week there and felt it was handled until I arrived in your Sedona location. I could have made other plans; such as a ride to Flagstaff or a flight that is $100 cheaper! I was turned down and offered a PAMPHLET to get a bus! I had to get upset and demand a car and was given a lesser than vehicle and one that's not safe for long highway travel. I was desperate and stranded and had to meet a schedule so I took the car. Once on the highway, I noticed it not being stable for the long haul but was already upset that they had initially refused me a car. The entire experience was terrible and when I tried to call about the issue the help desk was rude and did nothing. I have contacted my lawyer to discuss this incident,. This rental location should just close down, rude staff, horrible customer service, condescending employees who take 0 responsibility for reservations made. This is the second time I have "reserved" a rental and showed up only to find that the reservation was never put into the system, and have the employees look at me like I have 6 heads and made up the reservation in my head. On top of the reservation not being put into the system they had nothing available to offer me and did not even try to source a car from their cottonwood location for their mistake. I received exceptional service from this branch. My family had a reservation to rent a car on July 3rd. We had some delays and saw we would arrive after the Enterprise office had closed (and we knew they would be closed July 4th). We called the office and they directed us to to a closer branch that was open later. Our visit to Sedona would have been much less enjoyable without a car. When I returned the car, I needed a lift back to where we were staying. I offered to tip the driver as it was a bit of a drive. He declined the tip, but encouraged me to think about donating to a worthy cause. What an amazing response. Then the cherry on the top. 18 days after returning the car I get a call from Tyler at Enterprise Sedona. They found my wedding band in the car and (I assume) had been contacting all prior renters to find the owner. What an impressive effort to go above and beyond to help get the ring back to its owner. We are so happy that we happened to have this establishment in Sedona during our vacation. My husband and I decided to use a car from a car share program. We flew in from Dallas to Phoenix, went to the grand canyon and then went to Sedona. This is where we found out the car we had originally rented from was leaking oil. So, we had to rent another car. We stopped at this Enterprise and had a few options available. The associate made sure that we had the best price available. Because of our troubles, she waved a few fees and let us return the car with an empty gas tank even though it was full when we picked it up. As a Sedona resident I recently rented several vehicles on different occassions from Enterprise for both personal and business travel. Both rentals were on short notice and in one I specified need of a SUV which wasn't readily available. Tina, Elliot and their staff arranged for the transport of a SUV from another location and had it available for me at the requested time. As I'm in the hospitality industry I noted that they extended a genuine small town, warm welcome to visitors and were most appreciative of my business as a local. Shout out to Enterprise for putting us 3+ hours behind schedule from Sedona to Vegas and throwing multiple inconveniences at us such as a smaller SUV than ordered multiple days in advance and then, the battery died immediately and they made THE CUSTOMER (us) sit at the mechanic and wait to put a new battery in the car. No inconvenience fee granted either. Very poor by the company to treat their customers. read more

Getting a car for work for a trip to AZ. I have a lot of choices but picked Enterprise because they quoted me a sedan at $190/week. When I got my bill, it was $310!!!!! I asked the staff why this bill was so much higher than the quote they gave me, and they said that sometimes taxes increase the quote up to 30%, but they weren't sure exactly what was causing the price increase. When I said my increase was 60% and not 30%, they just shrugged and said they didn't know and that was the price. Had I known Enterprise would do this bait and switch, and that their actual price wouldn't have been competitive, I would have chosen another of the several options I had. read more

Unfortunately, we booked this car to get our family to the airport. So now we are left scrambling to find a way back to Phoenix for our flight this afternoon. The customer service here is terrible. We had rented a car at the Phoenix airport and once arrived in Sedona we had a serious electrical problem. I called the Sedona office and talked to Tyler Matkovich regarding our issue and he said hold on I have another call, then we were transferred to a third party service company. We wanted a replacement car. We were able to drive over to the Enterprise office in Sedona and Tyler then told me we were our of luck in a rather condescending manner, offered NO HELP other than go back to the airport (2.5hrs away), go to BIG O tire down the street to see if they can fix it. REALLY who is the customer!!! What was really going on was he did not want to give us a car because he thought he might rent it to someone if they got a call and did not want to hassle with handling a defective ENTERPRISE car. This guy should be fired! He was training someone in the office how to handle customers. BAD example of being a manager or a customer service rep for Enterprise.
