Awesome service! I took a hike in Sedona that went a little scenic route and I ended up desperately wanting a ride from one trailhead to another. First place I called right off said it was a 45 minute wait, and when I said where I was and where I wanted to go sounded doubtful. Second place wasn't even local and advised me to call someone else. Then I found Bob's Taxi lower down on the google results. When the man that answered the phone didn't bat an eye about my location, and told me it would be at least fifteen minutes, I was SO grateful! My ride showed up in about 20. ( no complaints, traffic is stupid in Sedona) and was Covid compliant and friendly. What more could I ask! Five stars to the knight in a black SUV that rescued me! One warning, they do take only cash, which I was informed of up front from the dispatcher. Thankfully I had the green to engage their services. read more

I didn't have a rental car so I used Bobs Sedona Taxi to travel in and around the Sedona area during my vacation. My hotel was in Oak Creek Village and most of the places that I wanted to go to were in Sedona, so I relied on them a lot. They are great! The drivers are very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. They pointed out landmarks and told me a lot about Sedona and the red rock formations. Bobs Sedona Taxi also offer tours, I didn't do any of them because all of my days were pretty booked up and I had already scheduled two other tours. Based on the drivers that I met, I imagine that their tours are good. They recommended some good restaurants for me to try, which I appreciated. The cabs are very clean. They are very prompt for pre-scheduled pick ups. They are also pretty quick when called for immediate pick ups. I am mobility impaired and a couple of times I had to call them to go just a few blocks, they were great and gave me really good rates. I don't know how they compare to other Sedona taxi services because I only used Bobs. I originally chose them because of their name "Bobs" (a really old joke between me and some friends), but I continued using them because they are great. read more

Best of the taxis here in Sedona, who ever wrote the 1star review on them must having a bad day. I have ridden with bobs for yrs and have always had great experiences with them. The van is clean and actually have a meter so you know you are paying for what you are getting. I rode with Quick rides once and the fare was almost double for the same trip that bobs gave, I felt like calling the owner and asking him if he was actually a legal taxi since he did not have a meter or signs on his car. Bobs taxi has been an institution in this town since the 80's not many businesses can boast that many yrs in this town. We called Bob's Taxi after they were recommended to us by the Inn Above Oak Creek. We asked to be picked up at 5:45 - while Jason, our driver, did not come at exactly 5:45, he came later, we were informed of what was going on and received an apology over the phone, and from Jason, the driver, who apologized profusely upon picking us up, explaining he was all the way across town when he got the call, which is completely understandable. Jason was excellent - he is so knowledgeable about Sedona and all of the non-touristy things to do there, which was so helpful, especially since you could tell he loves Sedona. When he dropped us off at SaltRock (at the Amara), he told us that if we needed him later, we should call when the drop the bill so that he can come and get us right as we're walking out. That level of detail was very appreciated, and he was there waiting when we walked out of the resort, which just gave peace of mind. All in all a great service, especially if you get Jason as your driver! (Just give more versus less time to be picked up). read more

We recently visited Sedona without a car. I called Bob's Taxi and Tours to take my family to Bell Rock for some impromptu hiking. Rides are hard to find around there and the owner--Adam was so kind, on-time and very courteous. He shared many stories about Sedona and was very flexible when we kept changing our drop off area coming back. 2 days later he really came to our rescue when our prior scheduled shuttle back to the Phoenix airport could not pick us up in time because of a northbound accident. I immediately called Adam and he rearranged his schedule to accommodate us driving over 2 hours, getting us safely to the airport on time! He went above and beyond and we greatly appreciate it. I will always use Bob's Taxi and Tours when we are in Sedona. read more

My friend and I got a super early flight and needed to leave Sedona at 3:30am. In the evening of the day (Friday) before the flight, we got a bit freaked out since we didn't see any cars on the Uber app after 9pm in Sedona...So, we searched on the web and called multiple places to make sure we have one to be in time for our flight. Bob's Taxi and Tours was the only one who responded quickly and accepted the ride for the next day. Our driver, Jeff, came a few minutes before the schedule (just about right) and gave us a perfect smooth ride to the airport. We used Bob's Taxi during our vacation in Sedona and our driver was speeding, fidgety, inpatient with traffic, slamming on his breaks almost hitting cars in front of us; it was a scary ride. Not sure if he was just having a bad day or what, but it was horrible. We were just thankful to get out of the car in one piece. Worst taxi I've ever been in. It smells like vomit, booze and cigarettes, and that was just the driver. This company is completely unprofessional. They showed up extremely late, gave a poor excuse along with some bad attitude, and then tried to overcharge me. The driver was wearing a baseball cap, a loose fitting sports jersey, and what I can only assume were pajama pants. At the bar where he dropped me off, he illegally parked behind two other vehicles, blocking other patrons from leaving. When the person came out to leave, the taxi driver from Bobs began harassing him, asking him all sorts of weird questions and then refused to move his vehicle to let the person leave. I decided not to call them again for my return trip, instead asking the bartender if they knew of a better transportation service. They said yes and called Quick Rides. The driver showed up in minutes driving a very slick black 4 door sedan and wearing dress pants, dress shoes and a well fitted polo shirt. He greeted me politely, opened the back door for me, and took me to my destination safety. His car was odor free and clean. I would recommend them to anyone traveling in Sedona and needing a dependable transportation service. As for Bobs Taxi, I wouldn't call them again if they were the only choice in Sedona, which luckily, they are not. read more

There weren't any ubers or lyft drivers working at around 9:15pm on a Tuesday night so my friends and I decided to look up taxi services on yelp. We chose this company because all the reviews seemed decent. They only took cash which was perfectly fine and they were upfront about it over the phone. When our driver, Jeff, came to pick us up everything seemed fine until part way into our 10 minute drive to our hotel. He honestly seemed like he was high on some type of drug. He was driving recklessly, periodically sniffling, and constantly pushing his chest towards and away from the steering wheel... I have never been more afraid for my life in a car ride. I honestly was debating whether or not to write this review because everyone else seemed to have great experiences, but I would not want for someone else to experience what my friends and I went through. Yes we were desperate for a ride back to our hotel. But had we known it was going to be like this, we would have rather choose to walk 30+ minutes than risk our lives. read more

Wow, I called this "taxi" service from a Sedona restaurant and was told by who answered that a car could pick me up in 10 to 15 minutes. After 30 minutes, I tried calling the guy back and only got a voicemail so I left a message and never even got a call back. I checked with the hostess at the restaurant and she said to try Sedona Quickrides, they also told me it would be about 10 to 15 minutes - the driver was there in 12 minutes and with a much nicer vehicle! I don't know how you can run a taxi business and leave your customers hanging like that. I know taxis can get busy but at least tell me the truth about when you can get me, and at least call your customer back. Anyway, I don't use this service anymore. I come to Sedona about 3 or 4 times every year, and from now on, I will only call Sedona Quickrides. read more

Unreliable and unprofessional. Arranged a taxi ride to Flag airport yesterday with owner (Adam) for a pick up at 5:30AM today. Taxi did not show up and did not answer multiple phone calls. Finally returned phone call at 5:47 and reported an ETA in 10 min. - too late to make flight, so cancelled the ride. Called Adam to discuss situation this afternoon. He was rude, constantly interrupting, and unapologetic. Would not recommend this taxi service if reliability is important. read more
