If you are looking to rent a Jeep while in Sedona for some off-road adventure, look no further than Barlow's. Mary is absolutely wonderful. She takes the time to explain the functionality of the Jeep, provides maps for all trails and provides suggestions of what trails to explore based on your experience level. We had a blast and were able to experience 3 trails with a one day rental.

Want to have fun? Want that fun to last longer than a 2 hour tour with a Jeep full of strangers? Make an appointment and get your Rubicon on with Barlow. We got 24 hours to explore the back country, on our schedule, at our leisure. Mary provides maps, directions, and solid advice. We had the BEST 10 hours off road, and we could bring our pup with us!

Fantastic service, customer care and value! Booked a Jeep for 24 hours last minute. Reserved by phone and service was outstanding. Check in was quick and the manager gave us outstanding tips on the best trails in the area. Outstanding vehicle familiarization that covered all the bases. Our Jeep was a fully loaded Jeep Rubicon which handled the trails super well. Barlow's provided a cooler with ice-which was fantastic since we drank a ton of water on the trip! Used one Jeep for two adults and two young men (14/11). Left our car overnight at Barlow's parking lot with no issues. We took the dry creek trail past tons of hikers to the Devils Bridge trail. The bridge itself was packed- but the hike to the viewpoint was nice though crowded. Next we continued up the trail to an old homesteader cabin-slightly technical on the final push up for lunch. This was our favorite part of the ride-great views of the mountains and scenery and it was a fun quarter mile up to the cabin. Next stop- the Outlaw trail. We didn't make it in time for the ruins (closed at 3) but we enjoyed the trail-first mile or so and the last mile are the most adventurous. Great views of the red rocks throughout. Closed our adventure with the Schembly Hill road (following day). Return was easy. Solid COVID-19 mitigations throughout by the way. Loved the jeeps and the personalized customer service. The whole family had a blast! Tip-with kids-definitely display the roll and pitch indicators. Next time we're in Sedona- we're coming back for sure and we can't recommend them enough!

Called for the next day and they were able to accommodate us. Check in process was easy, gave us some suggestions of trails. Super fun if you haven't done it before. My daughter thought it was a little bumpy for her but I would've stayed out all day on trails. Keep was great, checking it back in was easy. Lot for your car also!

I spent some time debating between renting an ATV, and a Jeep. In the end, as we have 2 young kids, I'm so glad we ended up going with a Jeep. Having the ability to put the roof on, roll the windows up, and turn on the AC when the heat/dust got to be too much ensured they were happy all day! As far as Barlow goes I really thought it was a well run operation that had a great focus on custom service. Chris, the gentleman who helped me, spent time showing me maps of all the local trails and provided great recommendations. What impressed me most was how he did it with such enthusiasm and excitement, even though I'm sure I'm the 1000th clueless out-of-state tourist he's helped, he had me pumped to get out on the trails! As far as the Jeep goes we thoroughly enjoyed our time with "Talia", our white Jeep! The extra 2" life kit, off road tires, etc. that Barlow outfitted her with ensures she is up for any obstacle you throw at her! I would highly recommend renting from Barlow!

First-time ever Jeeping & off roading in a Rubicon! Barlow Jeep Rentals did an amazing job & provided great customer service. Mary (staff) was especially helpful. She took time to explain the Sedona dirt road system, how to get to some of the hikes/destinations & recommended some places to visit. She provided us with maps & also went over how to operate the Jeep Rubicon--the do's & don'ts, how to drive with the various Jeep features, & what type of damage they look for when you return the Jeep (very transparent ). We did a 2-day rental & had such a blast exploring Sedona & Fossil Creek! The Jeep Rubicon was super reliable. I highly recommend renting a Jeep from Barlow Adventures & plan to use them again for future rentals.

Chris was very helpful and knowledgeable. He guided us with good information for the best of the best Sedona trails and phenomenal scenic views. The recommendations were on point. The Rubicon was simply awesome to drive and it owns the 4x4 trail like a beast. Loved every second experiencing the scenic beauty of Sedona. Definitely recommend Barlow Jeep. We will be back soon Cheers.

I was referred to Barlow Jeep Rentals by a friend. I am so glad he did. Our 24 hr Jeep rental was easily the most fun part of our trip to Sedona! First of all, Barlow provides maps to you for every major Jeep trail in the area and they take the time to explain each one. On top of that, each map has directions with mileage readings that help keep you on the path as you come to different parts of each trail. That was really helpful, especially for the Broken Arrow Trail. Other than that, the Jeep's they had were top notch and ours performed flawlessly. Can't wait to do it all over again but we had such a great time, it may be in our own Jeep next time.

We stopped by here in a whim while our wives were out for the day doinG yoga and all that type of lady at stuff. Jeeps are nice, new, and well equipped with quality parts, you are not renting some beater. We were greeted nicely from the gentlemen taking care of the jeeps to Ms Mary who checked us out and got us our Jeep. The maps they provided and the directions we received prior to leaving were spot on and definitely helped us navigate the trail. If I could recommend anything, skip Schniebley hill unless you are very new to jeeping. This is no fault of Barlow, they just provided us so many other trails that were far more fun and we really got to see sedona. Having the ability to go at Your own pace is awesome as we hiked and stopped and took photos whenever we wanted.

We rented a Jeep from Barlow several years ago. They provided a great Jeep and awesome trail maps. We had a wonderful day. We have now bought our own Jeep and we were planning on going back to Sedona. I called them to find out if they sell their trail maps. They said just come on in and we'll give them to you. I got there just as they were closing. I asked for maps. They cheerfully gave them to me and took the time to go over them and give pointers. We had a great time on Broken Arrow, Soldier's Pass, and Schnebly Hill. We went back and bought a shirt to help repay them for their service. If you're going to Sedona and you're adventurous....skip the Pink Jeep. Rent one for less money from Barlow, and do it yourself. Then you'll be hooked

Barlow is a great Jeep rental place. The employees are great! Very helpful and informative. Walked us through the jeep to make sure we knew what we were doing before we headed to the trails.

I reserved a 4 door Jeep yesterday as soon as we arrived at the Hyatt Pinon Pointe. The concierge desk recommended that I make the reservation as they do often run out of Jeeps. I'm very glad that I reserved it.... It was the one of the last Jeeps on the lot. I had thought about reserving it even before getting out here, but I wasn't sure how the weather was and what the boys would have wanted to do. When we got to Sedona, the weather seems perfect for an off-road adventure. I was greeted by Nena who was very friendly and took her time to explain the terrain and the trails. She provided me with the trail maps and explained important landmarks and things to watch out for as well as things we want to take time to watch.... =] The first trail we drove was the Soldier Pass Trail which was very exciting. It was a relatively short trail which provided a feel for the moderate trails as well as the adventurous trails. Once we got the feel for trails, we were easily able to decide on our second trail per Nena's descriptions and instructions. I was hoping for the Broken Arrow (an adventurous trail) as our second trail which is very famous for this area, but due to majority rule, ended up going on the Outlaw Trail which is a moderate trail. The trail was very scenic with many wide-open views and gave everyone enough ride to call it quits for this trip. I've considered taking a Jeep tour offered by one of several Jeep tour companies. However, I'm very happy that we decided to do it ourselves. This provided the option of taking our lunch into one of the trails and have a lunch break at one of the stops. And by doing it ourselves, we were able to do two trails for a family of four for the price of a combo tour for two people. We managed to save a bit of money (and this is very important in this economy), and at the same time, I feel we really enjoyed it more because it was just us. We didn't have to accommodate anybody else except ourselves. We had our satellite radio blasting to whatever we wanted to listen to.... and we wouldn't be able to do that with a tour. Nena also gave us an ice box full of ice so we were able to get some sodas and load it up for the trip as well which made it great for the lunch off-road.... I've visited Sedona several times, but this Jeep rental made it very special. Thank you, Barlow Jeep Rentals; and thank you, Nena Barlow!

Our super cool Jeep. I felt like a superhero in this thing!

Ok here is the best advice I can give someone visiting Sedona, AZ. Rent a jeep from these folks and go off road. The most beautiful views I have ever seen were accomplished via an exhilarating drive. A huge adrenaline rush for a desk jockey on vacation with the family. This experience made Dad look like he was a superhero! I own a Jeep Rubicon but had never been off road in any form or fashion until renting a like Jeep on this trip. I'm not going to kid you and tell you I was 100% confident in my driving every moment of the trip. I will tell you it is one of the best things I have ever done in my life. The journey is simple if you listen to the orientation and directions the staff give you initially. Also, you get a map that offers some nice reminders and directions. Just stick to the script they provide. This is the only way to do Sedona!

You can only go on a tour here with the Navajo guide and our guide Ray was fantastic. We spent about 1.5 hours at lower Antelope Canyon. He really made the tour fun, informative, and he took the best pictures. The photos do not do it justice. The experience was just unreal. Each term that we took we were in awe. The downside was our tour guide Brandon. Although he was very friendly, he didn't seem that knowledgeable. Maybe he was having an off day but there were a couple times that he stopped mid sentence while telling a fact and even ended a fun fact with blah blah blah to finish up his sentence. At one point, he even started chewing on a candy or something while hooked up to the microphone. This was really annoying. We still had a very great day just a couple things that didn't make it a five star experience. Did you have a lot of options for tours and their office is located centrally in the uptown area.

We were picked up in a small luxury bus that seated 14 people. Our tour guide was Sheldon and he was absolutely wonderful! He had a cooler filled of water waiting for us on the bus too. Our first stop was Horseshoe Bend. It was so gorgeous there ! The hike to the bend is about 1.5 miles round trip and it's actually up-hill in both directions. It's not bad at all though. There's no shade so I wouldn't like doing it during the summer! It's also a sandy trail so wear appropriate shoes! Our next stop was Glen Canyon Dam. This is where we were given our boxed lunch. The view here was so pretty ! It was nice to sit in the grass and look over the dam during lunch. The boxed lunch was really good too ! It was a turkey sandwich on marbled rye bread, Poor Brothers kettle chips, macaroni or potato salad, and a chocolate chip cookie. Our final stop was Antelope Canyon. We were handed off to another tour company in Page run by the Navajo. We got into the back of their truck and were driven to the canyon. It was about 15 minutes from the tour company. Our guide was great, although I can't remember his name. The canyon itself is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen in my life ! The Navajo guides space the tours out and keep them moving so it's not a clusterf*ck inside. They also take great pictures for you ! I noticed the guide was putting my iPhone on the "chrome" setting and adjusting the brightness. All pictures turned out great ! Make sure to put your phone down and enjoy this place though ! We had plenty of bathroom stops to and from this trip. We stopped at the Cameron Trading Post, so if you're looking for Navajo souvenirs, you're in luck ! I would also recommend bring breakfast or snacks too.

The blankets help but dress warm. In fact, dress warmer than you think. With the wind, it was very cold out during our experience. Now, for stargazing purposes, it is definitely better if the moon is not full, and it is also better if it is not cloudy, but nature constantly reminds us who is in control. We had an almost full, extremely bright moon, and plenty of clouds. But we still had a great time checking out the various stars and planets and even the moon itself. If you are able to plan your tour, try to do it when the moon is at its darkest. The entire tour, if you want to call it that, lasts about an hour. It is not a thrill a minute experience but it is educational and, for those into astronomy, fascinating. This is definitely not for younger kids but mature teens might enjoy it.
