I honestly don't even know where to start with this place. I showed up at 12:17 thinking I was totally fine, and nope -- apparently their lunch break started at 12:15 on the dot. Like... seriously? Two minutes and I'm just out of luck? So I just stood there. There were other people too, all kind of confused, just waiting around because nobody said anything. Time just kept going and nobody came back, no update, nothing. It ended up stretching all the way to 1:15 which is actually insane for a "lunch break." At 1:14 (yes, one minute before they're supposed to be back), I went up to the window just to see if anyone was even there. The lady inside literally looked at me, nodded her head no, laughed, and then went right back to watching something on her phone like I didn't exist. No "we'll be right back," no apology, nothing. Then, she continued to watch stuff on her phone until 1:27 I've never felt more like a complete inconvenience to a business I'm literally trying to give money to. The whole thing felt unprofessional and honestly just rude. If you're going to run a place like this, at least acknowledge the people standing right in front of you. I came here to pick up my car. My reservation was at 11:00. I confirmed the reservation the day before. I wound up arriving a little after noon and was met with this sign and the place was closed. I was already running late so I could not wait another hour in the parking lot to pick up my car. I called the number and someone told me they went to lunch because I was late picking up the car and they didn't think I was coming. Um, how about a phone call!? I had arrived Dec 22 to pick my car rental up and found a full lobby, a 2 hour+ wait, and a possibility that I wouldn't be getting a car at all as the system somehow allowed a massive overbooking issue. To be honest, this would've been a pretty awful experience if not for Gabby, who was essentially running a one man show. I watched people, in real time, be told they'd have to wait two hours and may not get a car, and some of them reacted very poorly and took it out on her. She held strong, treated them with kindness, made sure she checked in with everyone periodically, went in the order people came in and handled business. I watched her be verbally harassed, yelled at, treated as if she had caused the overbooking problem herself but she handled it like a pro and de-escalated the tense situations. I have absolutely NO IDEA why the bean counters decided she should have to work alone on one of, if not, the busiest rental days of the year. I don't think she even had a chance to eat lunch, which isn't fair. I'm giving this review 5 stars, however these stars belong not to Enterprise but to Gabby, for being such a kind, hard working, personable, communicative and professional employee who did everything she could to make sure I and everyone else who came in got a car. She treated people with kindness while they spat venom. She didn't lose her cool when the phone was ringing off the hook and multiple people were demanding her attention/a car. I've done 10+ years of customer service so I know a stellar employee/experience when I see it. This enterprise car rental location is very small and although we had an appointment, we had to wait over half an hour for our car to be serviced. There were several other people there waiting as well. However, we have to complement the one male employee who had to handle everyone plus clean the cars we were going to rent and that included interiors and car washes for the exterior. His name is DORO ARAD and we applaud him for doing the work of 3 employees!! All the while he was extremely polite and professional. Rented a 7 passenger van to pickup my daughter's family at the airport. Called and went into the office twice the week before to check that they would have the 7 passenger van. And they assured me that they would. Showed up the day of the rental and was told they had NO van available, but they would call around to other locations and try to find one. after waiting one hour in the office they found a Ford Expedtion. It was so big and high that one of the kids fell out of the car getting out and broke her collar bone, spend one day in the hospital. This company takes rental reservations with no intention of ever having the car you reserved when you. AVOID THEM and rent somewhere else! read more

First of all this is the most bizarre enterprise I've ever been to. They pretty much go into the back and come out when they feel like it. I show up to a room of about 6 people All standing around in the lobby listening to the employees in the back, very obviously customers are a 2nd thought. I was sent to this location from enterprise roadside assistance to replace a rental car. ( they send a link with Uber so this was the correct location) I ask the front desk for the car and he says he can't look me up, there is no email to prove my point ( although tons of texts with roadside to prove my point) and there's nothing he can do. I'm incredibly shocked because I had just spent hours waiting on a tow truck, getting ubered around, pretty much spending my entire day figuring this out. So I call the road assistance and put it on speaker for the front desk and they confirm that they just didn't send an email to this man but they had the note on my account. He again states without an email there is nothing he can do and then says the business is closed. At this point I've spent over 5 hours trying to get a new car just to be told that I need to Uber to another location an hour away in traffic to get any help. Just horrible, there is a number of things he could have done to confirm my info but instead he wanted to throw a crying girl out of the business and go about his day. I go to the other location and lo and behold they can look me up, see the notes and are shocked that this man didn't just call and confirm. They wanted to give us what they wanted, even though we booked four weeks ahead for a Tahoe, and last minute they didn't want to give us the car and gave us a old white van that looked like it was going to break down a hour into our trip and looked like those sketchy vans. Terrible customer service at this location. Nearly ruined Christmas. I had rented a car using enterprise.com and went to the Solana Beach/Del Mar location to pickup the vehicle I reserved. The representatives at the desk said they had rented more cars than available and this was a known issue with their website www.enterprise.com. He advised me there was nothing they could do since no cars were available. When I had asked if they could refer me to another location, they advised that would be of no benefit. I requested a phone number for their store Manager which the store employee reluctantly provided and I contacted the Manager and left a voicemail. Within a few minutes I received a call from another location who had found a car for me per their Manager and was able to help me out. read more

Well we thought everything was great! They ended up charging us over $400 for 1 day when Kyle told us the deposit was refunded when we dropped the car back off! Also I called ahead and requested a ride back to our hotel and was told that would be fine but once we got to the drop off location was told can't give us a ride. That's why I picked enterprise. The cars are stored off site so it's atypical for a car rental center. And the parking situation is a bit interesting. But they had the car I wanted, when I wanted it, and in mint condition. Now I ONLY use Enterprise! In this case i tried the Del Mar location which was a new one for me (Encinitas was booked) and I had a fairly new person there, Kenneth P. who took care of everything professionally and with a smile. This was the best, fastest rental car return I have ever done before. Originally got the rental from Enterprise in PB, but returned it to this location. I called about 30 mins before closing to make sure I was allowed to bring it to this location to return it. After I confirmed with them I raced over to return it. As I was pulling into the front of the hotel, the girl I spoke with on the phone was already halfway down the steps to meet me. She quickly looked the car over and went to print out a receipt. I couldn't believe how fast and friendly she was. It literally took under 2 mins to return the car and get all the paperwork. The girl that helped me was a sweetheart and I wish I had her name to thank her. I had dealt with the Enterprise in Sorrento Valley and the one in PB and they were both rude. Terrible experience. I was brought here from a different enterprise location, because the one I made a reservation at didn't have any cars available for me at my scheduled pick up time. The car this place gave me is an absolute piece of shit. It is filthy dirty - had not been washed or vacuumed, there is smoothie (or some other indistinguishable liquid) all over the back seat, this morning the windshield wipers hardly worked and there is a film on the windshield making it almost impossible to see in the rain. One of the headlights is either out of pointing in the wrong direction, so people almost pulled out in front of me twice. I feel very unsafe in this car, I called to complain and their advice is to go to another location and attempt to exchange the vehicle. Terrible customer service. read more

Where do I begin... when I arrived there with my kids Jason helped me out. He was the most unprofessional person I met. He gave me such a hard time to get the car that I had reservations for. Then he advised I cancel my insurance with Expedia and get insurance with them. I said no and he said well call your insurance and let me know when your covered. My insurance said they already had the proof so when I went back he said oh I never told you to stay he was giving me the tub around I decided to turn in my car 2 days earlier which I was glad I did he also inform me that there would be a manager there @ 6 am when I arrived there today. There was no one there on site. I called customer service put a complaint. Drop the car got a Lyft driver. Apparently from the Lyft driver she's picked up several people there that haven't had a good experience I highly don't recommend this place go somewhere read more

Super Fast car rental, near Amtrak station! I trained in from L.A., and was worried that it would take a lot of time to get from the Amtrak station to Enterprise, more than 1 mile away, because the arrival time of the train is so unpredictable. I call the location in advance to make sure an Enterprise would be there to pick me up. There was an unexpected delay at the Oceanside station, and yet there was a smiling face in a starched suit, just outside the train station, waiting for me. The whisked me off, and got me into the car quickly, without a hitch. What I really like about the service was how friendly the two ladies are who run this location. I rent Enterprise wherever I go, it's the best priced most often, and easiest. But this woman-run Enterprise was also friendly while still being professional. THANKS, Rachel and Casey! read more
