Our rental at a different company fell through...and I called Avis in Roseville, MN on short…read morenotice, looking for a vehicle to fit 5 adults and their baggage for an out-of-state drive. I also needed to be able to park our own car at Avis until our return a week later. The agent who assisted me during the call on the afternoon of June 13, 2025--I believe his name is "Eddie" (but unfortunately lost the note where I wrote it down!)--was so very kind, patient, helpful and reassuring. And then he also was there the morning of our pickup on June 15th. Everything went so smoothly and the Ford Explorer was just what we needed to make our journey so comfortable. It was a difficult week visiting two ill family members, and Eddie's helpfulness and the ease of the rental process were appreciated more than he might know. I hope someone from the corporate office will make sure to recognize him for his excellent service. This experience has increased my loyalty to Avis. FYI, this location also provides service for Budget car rental.

We exchanged phone numbers and I guaranteed him to buy it and even proposed to send a deposit if he wants. Later in the evening, I checked the airplane tickets and almost got them for me and my oldest son. Next day, just in case, I decided to call him - and He was literally selling the car to someone else. I was shocked. I was the first, I was ready to buy it, guaranteed, instead of discussing any matters - he just sold it to someone else! Unbelievable. I would recommend to avoid the company!!! That's a bad practice and I'm sure eventually, they will not be better off but instead, worse off.

Then when I arrived I was told there'd be another up charge for pet hair. In total I paid almost 200 so the Groupon is misleading IMO and all they did was vacuum the car and put tire shine on the wheels. As for quality of the service? There's still dirt all over my doors, they don't dress or shine the dash/doors, they didn't even clean the interior of my tailgate, and the ketchup on seatbelt? Still there.

I just decided to be patient. After two months, waiting for a call to schedule delivery I checked in again and the package was seemingly lost. I had to call them to get this information. They had my package for two months and after sitting around it had gotten lost. I have nothing good say. I guess the issue is that they don't have enough workers. If you need to ship something go somewhere else. The people are friendly, but they are a pooly managed organization and highly unreliable, the opposite of what you need for a shipping company.

There was a pile of keys from other customers as well. We were told by another business in the same building that this was "normal" for Hertz and that we should just put a post it note with our name and date of rental return. Unbelievable ridiculousness. On very short notice--because a different company had failed us!--he helped us to get into a weeklong rental vehicle that comfortably seated five adults plus luggage for an out-of-state trip. The Ford Explorer was clean, comfortable and had all the latest safety and navigation features. It made our travels so easy and Eddy's personal assistance over the phone and later during pickup was super-appreciated. I hope Avis Recognizes great employees like him. As a result of this experience, Avis will be my first choice for car rental next time.

Never a better rental experience anywhere in our travels. I cannot imagine the manager ever being anything but welcoming and friendly! We rent cars locally often and have never had a single problem. I am writing the review simply because people need to know there is another side to the heavy complaining. We will continue to get cars there and we will continue to recommend the shop to our friends and neighbors. As an aside, they have all reported a good experience. I had heard about Turbo Tim's being good for Toyotas,…read moreso when I search them online, the one that was closest to me didn't have openings for several weeks and I saw that this one had an opening the next day so I grabbed it. I had a very loud sound in my car and I'd had it for about a month. It was getting worse, I thought it was maybe something wrong with the head gasket or exhaust or something. I brought it in and they diagnosed it as a problem with my heat, shield and corrected it for basically the cost of the $45 inspection fee. While I was there, I decided to get other things done. I got a full synthetic oil change. I got a coolant flush And fill, I got a replaced engine oil, pressure switch, and replaced headlight bulb. The way they do estimates and pricing is very transparent and there's not really any pressure at all to get unneeded services. The full synthetic oil changed for example, was actually cheaper than every other place. I've gotten that done by about $12. They were incredibly customer service oriented. They offered to send me home in a rideshare vehicle and pick me up later, but I decided to work in their lounge area and just use their Wi-Fi, which worked great. The repairs were done pretty quickly for all that they were doing, and I was surprised at the end that my car was washed because they hadn't even mentioned that shop manager guy Darius even offered to get me a Diet Coke when he was out and about and I just was very impressed with the vibe of the whole place there technical expertise and Customer service. I was very impressed with the place as a whole and will definitely be back. The cats are an awesome addition and are obviously well taken care of as well.
