Failed to hold our reservation for a normal car, which we made many days in advance of our departure. Stuck us with a tiny car, which has been totally inappropriate for our trip. No apologies made or attempts to correct the problem. We even offered to adjust our schedule in order to get something more appropriate, but recieved no cooperation. It seems like every time I've dealt with Enterprise as a whole over the past year, I've encountered representatives who are unhelpful and feel like I'm always being hustled and lied to. Also, the last 3 cars I've rented ranged from having a mild tobacco smell to reeking of cigar smoke, which is just annoying. How do you not have cars available during a pandemic when so little activity is happening? Nice people, understaffed with long waits for filthy cars. Don't count on a clean car for your vacation. My van was completely covered with salt spray and a mildly dirty interior I should have got a clean vehicle for $650. No place else to go, so that's what you get. I can't say anything bad about this experience with Enterprise. When I have to rent a car, I usually use Enterprise, but this location was a first for me. I scheduled for them to pick me up from the body shop I was at and they showed up promptly at the appointed time. The gentleman was friendly and we had a wonderful conversation on the 10 minute drive back to the office. I was checked into my rental within 15 minutes and I was good to go! Upon my return, I was checked out within 15 minutes and the guy who did it was also fast, friendly and informative! I have zero complaints! I would use this location again! read more

I would never use this service again. I was in a car accident the other person's insurance covered a rental car I had to go here for the rental car. They gave me a car with high mileage, the oil change light was on and also the sunglasses holder wouldn't close. When they were getting the car ready, I saw the associate come inside and grab the scotch tape. I wondered in my head. What would they need scotch tape for when I started driving down the street in the rental car the sunglass case opened up and I saw it was scotch taped closed so every time I needed to use the rearview mirror, I had to hold the sunglass case up in order to use the rearview mirror. Once I returned, the car enterprise called and asked if I was satisfied with the car they gave me I told him the complaints that I had about the car and they said I would receive a $50 check for my inconvenience. Once the check arrived, it had someone else's name on it so I called the manager of the store. He apologized and said they would be getting a new check with my name on it out to me as soon as possible I still have not received anything. I will not be using them again and if you are renting a car from them, make sure you check the car before you drive away. read more

This has been the worst interaction I have had with any Enterprise Rent-A-Car or any rental car company. Initially, when dealing with this location over the phone and making arrangements in December it was very pleasant. The gentleman was extremely polite. The reservation was made on December 23, 2020 and set for today January 4, 2021. I was to be picked up from the dealership at 8:30am since I had a 7:30am appointment. I missed a call at 7:34am because I was at the dealership dropping my vehicle off and speaking with the woman about what needed to be done. There was no message left. Just seven seconds dead air. I looked the phone number up to discover it was Enterprise. I called back at about 7:45am and the woman said she had called to see if I could push my appointment with the dealership back because they didn't have any vehicles available. I told her no because I was already at the dealership and I told the gentleman of my early morning appointment when I made the reservation. She said she couldn't get anyone there until closer to 9:00am. She picked me up in a gray Dodge Journey at 8:54am and said we had to wait for her to pick up another customer. Once at the location, I ask what vehicle it is and she said it's the Dodge Journey we were just in. I requested another vehicle and she said they don't have any. She did offer to sanitize it since all three of us were just in it. Overall, I would not use this location because not only did they call me less than one hour before my scheduled time to be picked up, they provided me a vehicle that did not fulfill the basic things that I requested (6-cylinder and Apple CarPlay). read more

We needed to rent a truck for the weekend to move our son back home. Enterprise was the only place local we could find that had pickups in stock, and at a reasonable price. We were watching the price of the mini-vans, and for a long time, they were the same price as the pickups, so we were trying to decide what we wanted. When it came time to make the reservation, minivans went up $40 overnight. That left us with the pick up truck rental. We stopped in the store and they reserved the truck for us, with no money down. They told us if we didn't want to put it on a credit card, we needed 2 utility bills showing we weren't late, and a paystub. Ok, whatever. So Saturday morning, we show up and panic set in. There wasn't a pickup truck in the lot anywhere! We thought maybe they'd sub in the Suburban in the parking lot, but we went in and they said there was a truck "in the bay" waiting for us. Sure enough, they pulled a brand new Dodge Ram around for us. It had only 8,000 miles on it, and we were stylin' on our way through PA. We finally figured out half way across the state that the truck had SXM in it, so we had a blast singing along to our favorite channels. The other great part was that even though it was a truck, we were getting about 21 mpg on it, and the dash was all digital, so the display confirmed our figures. We were able to pack all of our son's stuff in, both in the back seat and tied down with a tarp in the back. It would have been better if it wasn't raining the entire trip, but we made it back and the truck was great on the trip. It was comfortable and fun. We decided that instead of buying something new, we're just going to rent from Enterprise every time there's something we need a new car or truck for. I had rented a car from Enterprise in Streetsboro Ohio for two days while my car was being fixed. The hours of operation at Enterprise are from 8 AM until 6 PM. I turned in my car at 5:05 PM, and was expecting to be taken to my car after finalizing the paperwork. I was notified at that time that Enterprise does not drop off people, because only 1 person works after 5 PM. I was never informed of this when I first rented the car. Nor was I told of this policy when I told them I would be dropping off the car. If a company advertises itself as "we will pick you up", then they should have more than one employee who works until 6 PM, so that customers can be driven to where they need to go to get their own car/truck. I had to walk two miles in 30 degree weather to the repair shop where my car was. Fortunately, I did have a pair of gloves and my cane with me. I am disabled, so walking two miles is a long way to use a cane. I fell down twice, but was able to get back up and continue my 45 minute walk. I would caution anyone using Enterprise to ask a lot of questions before renting, because they will not tell you anything upfront. From now on I will be using Uber or Lyft when I car repairs. What an awful experience! I was getting repairs done at Great Lakes Hyundai. Two weeks prior they were doing repairs and just gave me a car on the lot to use as a loaner but this time they sent me across the street to Enterprise. I had no intentions of renting a car so this annoyed me from the get-go. I will fully admit that this is where I screwed up and I should have gone over the car with a fine tooth comb but I work in a field where I'm on call 24/7 and my clients are far more important than renting a car and I was tied up on the phone at the time. Now, if I were a manager and realized the customer wasn't paying attention during the walk around of the car I would have stopped and politely said, "Ma'am, please let me know when you're able to walk around the car with me"...but alas, he didn't. I needed to get to an appointment (the whole reason I needed a loaner!) so I signed off on the documents and I was on my way. I returned the car about 5 hours later and with 70 more miles on it. The next thing I know they were accusing me of damage near the rear passenger tire. I didn't cause this damage and I'm sick and tired of hearing Enterprise tell me that "it's a brand new car!" Really? It has 12 prior rentals on it and it was driven 6,100 miles before I got it so no, it isn't "brand new". That means the 12 prior drivers averaged 508 miles and I did only 70...but I'm accused of damage. Was I wrong for not looking over the car better? Sure...but go ahead and Google "enterprise damage scam" and you'll be busy for hours reading about how they take advantage of women who know nothing about cars (trust me -- I'm the poster child for that). I'm almost certain that a previous driver who may have bought supplemental insurance likely caused damage and now it's pinned on me. Now I have an insurance claim looming and the manager of this Enterprise location had the audacity to call me today as a follow up to see how my Enterprise rental experience was...ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME? I had to remind him about the damage claim and asked why he would think to call me and he responded, "Why wouldn't I?" Really? You think I'm going to say something stellar about your shady customer service tactics? He knows a claim has been made and the only correspondence should be done through my insurance company and not with me. It was highly unprofessional behavior in my opinion. I've had wonderful rental experiences with Thrifty, Budget and Hertz. Avoid Enterprise at all costs. UPDATE: So the corporate office tried to reach out to me. I ended up speaking to the district manager or something. He agreed that the manager should have never done a follow up call. He removed the loss of uses charges and told me I owed $363.40 for the damages and I could go into any location to pay them. I did so a few days later but a few days after that I'm getting a call from Enterprise demanding I pay the $50 administrative fee which I was not informed of by him. I've placed two more calls to the district manager with no return call. read more

We rented a car midsize for a 1000 mile trip to be completed in 3 days for the holidays. We had three adults and a ton of packages. We were pleasantly surprised when they gave us a 7 seater SUV and made our trip extremely comfortable. The service was great and very accomodating. Our son rents here about 25 times a year for his travels and is well taken care of even on last minute notices. read more

It took a while to find a car that did not smell of smoke, but received a nice car with only an eighth of a tank. The salesperson offered a 10% discount for the trouble. When I returned the car with half a tank, the new salesperson not only ignored the discount, but also actually laughed when I mentioned the extra gas. That resulted in me cancelling the next rental I scheduled. read more

I've been doing business with Enterprise for many years and have always had a positive experience. My most recent experience was far from that. The young man who picked me up and did my paperwork at the agency was immediately flanked by two CIA-type guys. They didn't smile, didn't even say Good Morning. They just stood there staring me down and looking over the guy's shoulder. This is a car rental agency, not the Gestapo! The guy overcharged me by nearly $250.00. It took two hours to straighten in out, nearly ruining my entire vacation. I spoke with a young woman at the agency, who quickly credited my card. The guy apologized up and down, offering me discounts when I returned the car. I returned the car in good condition but there were no discounts forthcoming. Big surprise there. This particular adventure is a shining example of how to treat customers badly and how to lose business. read more
