I wanted to share my positive experience because I know this location has received some mixed reviews. The day before my scheduled pickup, I was contacted and informed that the large SUV I had reserved wouldn't be available and that they could only offer a 5-passenger vehicle instead. Unfortunately, that wouldn't work for our needs, so I asked them to cancel the reservation. Later that same day, I received another call letting me know that things had changed and the vehicle I originally requested was now available. The gentleman I spoke with on the phone wanted to see if I'd like to reinstate my reservation, and of course I said yes. When I arrived early the next morning, I was greeted by a friendly staff. One gentleman showed me to my vehicle, and while I was outside, the same gentleman I had spoken with on the phone (whose name I unfortunately don't remember) came outside just to thank me for my patience and understanding throughout the situation. He absolutely didn't have to take that extra step, but he did, and it really meant a lot. When I returned the vehicle on Monday, I was greeted by that same young man, and he even remembered my name. That level of personal customer service is rare these days. I was honestly a little nervous after reading some of the negative reviews, but my experience was the complete opposite. The team went above and beyond to make a difficult situation right, and I truly appreciated their professionalism, communication, and kindness. Justin, thank you for your kind offer to hang out at your enterprise location for a day or two (yes, no kidding, TWO!!!) until someone returns a car. Unfortunately, but I will have to decline your offer (no matter how kind it is) because I have more important things to do. Your customer service today was above and beyond careless and ignorant (with 5 explanation marks) - this is my first bad review I've ever written (hint hint). Dear Enterprise, according to your employee, Justin, your system is old and out of date. He doesn't understand why it allows people to book cars even if there isn't one available to rent. Today, after reserving a vehicle, I spent $27.44 on an Uber ride to get to your location on 1001 W Kennedy blvd. Justin informed me that they don't have any cars here for rent and offered me to stay there until one is returned - "could be a day or two" he said. I'm currently waiting for another uber ride (estimated $36.89) to Tampa International Airport to rent another car (not from you or your affiliate). My plans have been ruined and I'm $60+ out of pocket. Not that it matters to you, but today, you lost a loyal business customer who rented cars from you (Enterprise only) for the past 9 years. Had a reservation (with confirmed reservation number) they had no car. Did not honor their reservation, they made. Do not use this company. They suggested I "call around" as a solution. Horrible customer service and employees could not care less about customer experience. So we were stuck with our luggage and no car. Avoid them as the reservation means nothing. I hate to write this but this experience was extremely disappointing. I reserved a reservation for a week & received a call from enterprise stating my booking would need to be pushed up a couple hours due to no cars being available. That was not an issue & completely understood things happen. I was advised to call or stop by around 1pm so I did & upon arrival I was informed that they still had no vehicles but a few were on the way to being delivered so we could complete everything else. I pulled out my license insurance & booking confirmation number like I have several times before & This is where it took a disturbing turn. according to the manager they require "residence" people that live in Florida to show license, insurance, pay stubs & proof of residence thru a utility bill in order to rent a car "if you are using a debit card & no credit card" I have been with enterprise since I was 18, yes there was a time where you could rent at age 18 & at almost 40 years old & have never had a credit card, I have always paid with a debit card & held whatever amount of deposit requested. I was willing to place a $300 deposit as requested plus the cost of the rental which was going to come out to about $800 & showed proof of everything in regards to paystub, drivers License & insurance & everything had my current address but due to me renting an apartment where all my utilities are included enterprise wouldn't allow me to rent a car. According to them a cellphone bill does not count, only a land line "who the hell has a land line? I have never ever had this issue before ever. Traveling or renting locally. There is no where in the app that it states this as a requirement or updated requirements. I called customer care & was told what I provided was appropriate & they were confused why the location made this such an issue. I never ended up getting a car & can't believe enterprise would do this to someone that has been with them so long. I am so glad there are things like TURO which is where I was able to rent a car for 3 times less the amount including extra insurance coverage with unlimited miles. read more

Erin or Aaron the manager... disrespected my whole family and totally was not helpful with renting a car. She actually told us she didn't feel comfortable renting the car to us and I think it was because of her "personal views" on the way she viewed us.DO NOT USE THEM. I can go on and on on how they fumbled this situation from the start but the was the tipping point to right this view. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!!! She also stole my keyfab after she physically took the whole interlocked house key and without asking. She was very aggressive and is a racist. She kicked my poor mother out of the lobby as she was sobbing. This woman should not be in customer service. She should washing the cars and take course on customer relations on how to treat lifelong Enterprise customers. We then called back and asked for her last name and would not give it. She also tried passing the blame to a different branch which was lie. Lied right to our face. Mind you this was in front of other customers so my mind is even more blown. The worst service. False advertisement. Vehicle sizes are not what they claim. Received a call that a larger replacement vehicle had been returned. Show up and they have no vehicle. When a fallen tree limb damaged my car, I needed to quickly find a rental. Living in the downtown Tampa area, I knew Enterprise was close by so I booked a car with them. I arrived on site before the posted opening hour of 8 a.m. But the staff was already busy getting set up for the day so by the time I completed my curbside paperwork and inspected the car, I was on the road by 7:59 a.m. That alone was quite impressive. The car was clean, had a full tank of gas and was a pleasure to drive. Upon returning the car, the transaction was equally quickly completed and I was on my way in no time at all. Have to give the staff credit for suitably adapting to provide excellent customer service outdoors due to the COVID 19 circumstances. They even offered outdoor seating for customers in shaded spots but I never had the time, or need, to sit down because there really was not waiting. Not all of my car rental experiences over the years have been so efficient and so professionally handled. The team at Enterprise really made the process painless and even quite pleasant. Hope no more falling limbs are in my future but for any future rental car needs I now know I can rely on Enterprise. read more

First let me start off by saying the staff here is very cool and courteous. Sadly that's the only thing about this location I liked. I got there on a Sunday around 10:45 am, and apparently there are only 3 locations open Sunday in Tampa. Why does that matter you ask? Well.... It meant there weren't enough cars so we had to wait for cars from another location. After waiting maybe 20 or 30 mins they shuttled 2 of us to another location to pick up a car. Overall it was probably over an hour from when I wanted to get the car till I actually got it. When I got the car it only had a quarter tank of gas meaning I had to stop within the next hour to get gas! How do you not look at your reservations ahead of time and try to make sure you have cars?? I will say they also comped me for a day for my trouble which was also appreciated. read more

This was the best car renting experience I have ever had! We were slated to rent a car from a different location, but they were closed by the time we landed. This location honored our promised price and went above and beyond with their customer service. There were no lines and a few cars to choose from, all in great shape. When we returned the car, they were once again extremely friendly and even paid for our uber from their location to the airport! Everyone should take a note from these guys! read more

I am a PLUS member for last 20 years. We rented a minivan from this ERAC Tampa, Kennedy Ave location. Check out process went seamless, they do not give you any contract but it was emailed to you. As I was leaving the lot, I noticed that the fuel is less than 1/2 full. So I stopped and went inside the office and asked the gentleman who rented us the vehicle. He replied its 1/2 full and I told him its less than 1/2. He said OK just bring it back EMPTY. I waited outside for another corrected email but non showed up. I went back inside and asked him if he is going to correct my contract and he said we can not send you another email, he corrected the contract in the system and bring back empty (FISHYYYYYYYY) I told him I will be returning the car at different location. We return the car at Orlando International airport with 3/8 tank and was charged for 3 gal @ $3.51 total $10.53 The clerk told me to call the number and complain It is not a matter of $10 but just plain lying and cheating and poor management. 05/02/2019 Just received a voicemail from Mike Fluzone, Regional Manager Tampa area Enterprise RAC system. He was very sorry what happened with my rental experience and wanted to assure me that he will take care of the problem and will never happen to anyone. This is crazy. We had a car rented via orbitz. I confirmed it a day ahead. I get here and they say that they have no cars. The first person says it will be 45 minutes. Then when I quiz the manager, he says that they may not get a car back to rent out. They offer no ride back to the airport or other solution. They also would not call their manager do that I could talk with them. I ended up with $130 Uber ride. read more

My flight arrival to Tampa was a little delayed and I arrived to the Enterprise location at exactly 3:00 which was also their closing time. The doors were locked and no one in sight. Enterprise is general is by far the best rental company with its customer service. The one on Kennedy Blvd in tampa is superior even to any of the others I've been to. The staff there is unbelievably friendly and helpful. They are all quick to serve you as soon as you walk in and very knowledgeable. They are affiliated with national which is also a great company. I love the emerald Aisle when you rent from the airport and can just choose your rental and go. I've rented from other places before and they were a complete rip off. Had a excellent visit recently. The customer service is on point and there is no hassle. I was in and out within minutes and I even got a follow up call the next day to make sure I was happy with the rental. Never ever had that happen! The rental pricing seems to be within range of other car rental businesses. But what makes this place different is that they pick you up if needed. Great customer service at this Enterprise location. Every employee really GETS customer service. I've rented many times from them and they call me to confirm my reservation and see if I need a pick up every time. They give me a 30 minute window when I need a ride and they are always within the window, calling me as soon as they get to my condo. Prices are very reasonable (reserve online and become an Enterprise Plus member for best rates) and the cars are clean and zippy to drive. One time I got a car I didn't love and they quickly had another car ready for me to switch out. I live in Hyde Park and I love this Enterprise location!! Very poor service yesterday, Thursday 10/21/2021 after becoming a member of their club and getting 3 welcome emails for the pickup scheduled at Tampa Airport. I literally had a successful rental with the Flint Airport Enterprise 3 days ago. I spent 35 minutes with customer service complaint rep yesterday and even have a complaint number. I had provided the first associate (who was wonderful) my return flight information and a living address for New Jersey but I was refused car because I had a Florida drivers license and a debit card- not a credit card. Jason did not bother to look up the fact I had spent over 1200 in Enterprise rentals since I was displaced in New Jersey =awaiting to move abroad, 3 months ago. I also used my Florida drivers license and same debit card at both these locations. A large deposit on my debit card was completely ok with me and I mentioned this. My first rep another coworker for help- he just looked at me and said I could not have a car because my living address and my drivers license did not match. (this was different from Manager Jason (with no last name) who told me it was because I did not have a credit card- although my debit has worked recently at 2 other Enterprises with no problem. He indicated a few times it was because I could steal the car or commit fraud since I had a Florida drivers license. He told me that it did not matter that I had a return flight next week to return to NJ on the same airline I just flew in on. Another male associate- (who was not my rep or the manager and liked to make fun of Tequila-) nor Jason looked up anything on my account or my past rentals. Funny- I just recently joined the Enterprise special club and was given bonus points and I had a welcome email today before I landed in Tampa. Manager "Jason" refused to provide me his last name - he told me he did not have to and this was standard policy for Enterprise. He then got upset that I mentioned one of his workers was jokingly harassing another worker because of her cultural name. "Jason" was polite enough and the assistant manager and young lady that assisted me were very professional. The associate that dismissed me and my reservation- without any conversation and without any concern for my situation was the same one making fun of Tequila's name in front of the whole counter. I was told they were friends and it was ok by Jason. Jason told me I had to leave his store because I insinuated his employee was mocking the rep in front of everyone at the counter. I have called the customer service rep number and I have an incident report. I will await a call back. Meanwhile I will not be renting with Enterprise ever again- and I still will have needs to rent because I am still awaiting Covid restrictions to move abroad. I also walked 2 doors down to a different rental places and paid over 600 for a car. Its really nice and I gave them the exact same information. I am typically a flexible person and the experience had started very positive and ended with Manager Jason (no last name) using my comment about the unprofessional conversation with his coworker to tell me I had to leave his store. I would of laughed but I have spent a great deal of money with this company as of late - and I will not again. Jason remained professional but did not bother to look at my account history or use any critical thinking skills. Seemed quicker to just say no to back up his coworker who also did not bother to deal more professionally with my car rental. BTW- I read over most of the reviews and there are manager names- none are Jason- who refused to give me a last name but said he was the branch manager. read more

Completely unprofessional a bunch of sub par university of Tampa students running the place and it shows. They let two people of Caucasian decent cut in front of me. They have one minority that works here, the guy Chris who I think is the manager is a joke. They couldn't pick me up but sent someone to pick someone else up. No one is doing their jobs the way they should be Done. They lack professionalism in every area. I almost walked out and went somewhere else. The racism I felt here was disgusting. Again the manager Chris was a asshole and had a disgusting attitude when I brought up the unprofessionalism, then tried to rip me off and never reimbursed me for the Uber I had to take because they couldn't show up to pick me up from my house. If you're a minority take your business elsewhere these people have no respect for anyone unless their white... All reservations made online and had vehicle ready when promised. One glitch that was corrected: when I got the Versa Note (compact) up to 60 to 70 mph there was a horrible wobble in the front end that made the steering wheel shake. Not a welcome amenity on a long road trip. I was too far from the issuing dealer to return but did stop at a Greenville, SC location that was very accomodating. Explained the situation, they gave me a new vehicle, upgrade as well...with no questions asked. Return trip to FL was very comfortable with a new smooth riding vehicle at no additonal charge...very refreshing and welcomed. I will return. read more

They didn't give us the car we had booked online AND the car they did give us wasn't even cleaned first. We returned a car at this outlet that we had rented in Fort Lauderdale. The return was quick and easy. No unexpected charges. It was quite busy with folks returning cars and taking the shuttle to the cruise ship terminals. The shuttle van arrived and filled to capacity quickly without all of us getting on board. They said they would order a second shuttle. It arrived in three minutes and we were off to the terminal. Great service. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. read more

I will never rent from Enterprise or Alamo again after my experience with this location. The customer service is lifeless and they don't do anything to help you figure it out. I made the reservation online and NO WHERE did is say BEFORE making the reservation that the credit card has to be in the driver's name. It says in the person renting the car. I had to rent a car for my mom who lives with me, and I was paying for it. She doesn't have credit cards. Then they say there is not only the hold of the entire total but an additional $200 will be held on my card, even when using a credit card. Then b/c she did t have a car I had to put my name on the account even though I was going out of town and never driving it - $7/ day. Then we had to extend them rental twice b/c of car problems. The first time the lady on the phone was great and sent me a receipt. The second time the guy charged us almost triple the cost of the previous two day extension. Then said he couldn't send me a receipt as there System didn't allow for that. HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE WHEN THEY DID IT NOT 48 HOURS PRIOR????? This comes off of a rental with Alamo in another state where they lost the reservation so when I returned the car, they couldn't process it and I ended up waiting 30 minutes why they tried to figure it out. I travel often and will stick with Hertz or Thrifty!!!! read more

The worst customer service you'll ever receive. I reserved a vehicle for the same day online, called to check there would be a call available 2 hours prior to arriving. When I got there the two women behind desk said "sorry we have no cars, we saw your reservation and knew we didn't have any cars but we didn't call.. We tried to call but didn't get to it". So now every other rental place is closed and I had no other option but to wait until the morning to call Hertz (who was amazingly helpful). You "tried" to call to let me know... I'm not sure what that means? Did you start dialing ... Did you look at the phone? You def didn't try anything or else I would have been able to rent a car from another location. I will never use enterprise again and will go out of my way to make sure no one I know uses them. Worthless read more

Chaos. Always. Today's excuse was "more traffic than we anticipated from a cruise." I've heard that one from this location before. So, if this happens often, one would think to plan accordingly. Going to Hertz now. No idea who is in charge here but wow. Update: Gave this place TWO more tries, now I'm done. 2nd try: "We'll pick you up" - they meant at some point during the day, not before your actual appointment time. Wouldn't you think if you make your appointment for 10:00 a.m., that means you want to have your rental and start driving right around then? Enterprise calls to confirm the day before that I need to be picked up. Yep, I do. Next day, 9:30 rolls around, no one's here, 9:45, still no one. Finally at 10:00 a.m. I call to ask if they're still coming. They say, "Oh, did you need a pick up?" DUH. They say, "Okay, it should definitely be within the hour." Um, wait, my reservation was for 10:00. You confirmed yesterday. Strike 2. 3rd and final try. I reserve a truck online for 12:30. The online system lets me pick a truck. Yep, it's available at this location. Cool, I get in a cab at 12:15 and start heading to Enterprise. At exactly 12:29 they call to say, "Hi, Mr. P, you reserved a truck with us?" Yes, I did. "Oh ok, because we actually don't have any." Wait - I have a confirmation number. "Yeh, we are working on that but it will probably be a few more hours." Yeh, I give up. I went to Hertz, and was in/out of Hertz in 20 minutes with no reservation. read more

So we ended up at the wrong location bc they were out of cars and the website automatically transferred the reservation to the airport (the next closest one) with out me knowing which was terrible. But the girls were friendly but don't expect Enterprise to pick you up (like the commercial) or to even go out of their way to get you to the other location, though they were sold out and about 6 employees were standing around looking at each other. So we had to Uber from the port there and then pay another $28 to Uber to the airport to pick up the car. Just poor customer service when they could have assisted. read more

I had reserved a premium vehicle about two weeks in advance for an extended use as i had family coming over and they told me they did not have any vehicle in that class available. When we went out to look for an available vehicle they had two premium vehicles and rented one out to the family next to me and told me the other was being sent out. They put me in a full size vehicle and closed out the contract on the premium pricing. The vehicle was still dirty on the outside and inside when i received it and it smelt as if the person before me had been smoking in the vehicle. read more

We had 7 people and 11 suitcases/bags. We arrived at the pick up area to get our vehicle. They did not have what we requested. We were put in a minivan. It was almost 2 am. We were exhausted from delays and missed connections. Instead of the bringing a vehicle to us we had to carry our luggage and walk to the vans and pick one out. While walking through the parking garage to get to the minivans, we past 19 large SUV's, which is what we requested. The awful sales person that escorted us on our 2 am walk about, said that if we called in the next morning we could speak to someone about getting the vehicle we requested and it would be brought to us. So, we SHOVED all of our luggage into the van and went our on way. First thing the next morning we called Enterprise. We explained our frustrations along with our desired outcome. We were transferred to multiple people. We finally ended up with a Manager. He supposed to look into the situation and call us back. We NEVER heard back from anyone. We have ALWAYS been loyal Enterprise customers. We have been renting vehicles for 10+ years. Even when the cost was higher with Enterprise, we paid the extra fees. If a customer can not be valued and at least have a phone call returned to rectify a situation, then the company does not value our loyalty and certainly will not have our business in the future. We will NEVER rent with Enterprise again. read more

My son reserved a Yukon three weeks ago for pick-up on April 2, 2021 and return on April9, 2021. His confirmation and ready-pass stated he could pay with a debit card. When he arrived to pick it up, Craig, the employee stated he could not use a debit card. We had this family vacation planned, after my husband finished his chemo treatments and after I lost my brother a week before Christmas. Now we are left with no car for our trip. I called and talked with Craig and asked what we could do to get the car. He said he would do nothing. I asked him to put the reservation in my name and I would give him my credit card. He would not do it and would not accommodate us in anyway. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my lifetime and Craig is the most uncaring individual you could ever come across. Shame on Enterprise at 1001 Kennedy Blvd., Tampa, Fl for having this employee, where obviously customer service does not exist.
