The shuttles are smaller but they seem to have enough in rotation. Our driver "The Candyman" offered a basket of free candy and he lifted suitcases on and off the shuttle. He even did a quick song and dance move as he loaded bags! He made my day. I will definitely switch all my rentals to Enterprise based on this positive end to end experience.

We took the airport shuttle here and the line was super long. My Husband checked in, he has one of those great customer accounts since he frequently rents from Enterprise. Well, we saw several families waiting for their vehicles for over 30 mins. A majority of the time, an employee would come to talk to the people waiting on cars to ask if they would rather rent another class/type of vehicle. This was a RED FLAG and it happened about 4 times in 45 minutes. At an hour of waiting, a male employee comes over and asks if we would consider a Dodge Durango (which is not the suv class that we reserved). We let him know that it would not work for us, due to our party size and luggage amount. We have 3 people at and over 6 foot and 1 who is 5ft 8 inches, plus 8 pieces of luggage, backpacks, purses, etc., which is why we reserved a premium SUV. Meanwhile, 2 smaller (shorter and less people) got their premium suvs and drove off.... Another employee named Owen asked again (this is at 1hr 15mins) if we would take a Dodge Durango. Again, we declined and thanked him for offering. We then had to explain our party size and luggage amount. He said that they are checking the whole fleet including National and Alamo lots... Owen returns and asks my Husband to have a look at Jeep Wagoneer. My Husband said that it was not the class that we reserved, but it will work. Owen took a bit off of the price for the hassle and smaller vehicle class. Overall, they did not have the vehicle class that we reserved and paid for, it was snowing, it was cold, it was very bad. We waited a total of 1 hour and 45 mins to get a vehicle; even though we reserved a month in advance. I do not recommend this location during the holidays. When we brought the suv back, we prepaid for fuel and the estimated cost held on the credit card was set. We even brought the suv back with almost a half tank of fuel. The total was $40 over what the original credit card hold was. This place is a joke, scam, and most importantly unreliable.

Once we got to the location, there was no line. They promptly gave me my car, although I will say they didn't accept the insurance I bought online so please have your own personal insurance card and maybe opt out from buying the insurance with priceline. I rent at least one car a month, all over the country, and this is the first time i've tried Executive, and their service, all around, is garbage. I flew in, with a prebooked car, for a Nissan Altima or similar.. that is a full size car! I needed a full size car because i am 6'4.5 tall, was going to be transporting a mother who just had knee replacment surgery, and is due to have the second replaced shortly, and a 90 year old grandfather.. so, i needed the space for them to get in and out. When i arrived at 1:30a off my flight, and went to get my car i was told that Executive was out of full size cars, so i could either PAY EXTRA for an SUV, or accept a down grade car for the same price... this is outrageous. I've never had ANY rental company downgrade or tell a customer i can upgrade you for a fee when it is their fault!!! Like i said, it was 1:30a, and i had a 3 hour drive ahead of me, and their agent in house refused to budge on it.. i found later this is typical of this business. They dont't respect their customers AT ALL. Secondly, i was not happy to find out as i was driving 3 hours in a rain and snow storm, getting mud tossed on the car from passing semis to find out that the windsheild wiper fluid was bone dry... not a drop. Who checks over your cars before you rent them?!?!?! I almost crashed trying to see through the windsheild at one point after passing a semi. I had to pull over and use one of my shirts to wipe off the windsheild. Third, ive never encountered an instance where the car rental company says "because of the snow, just take the car, and if you notice any damage, just take a picture and show us later.. that seems like you are opening yourself up for a lot of dishonesty...  Now, unfortunately, most of my trip i had to borrow a family members car to transport my mother and grandfather because a VW Jetta just wasnt going to cut it for their comfort...  When i called to complain, they said you have to do it in writing, as well as to extend a car because of unfortunate circumstances. I did email, and finally received a call back 3.5 hours later.. really on the ball, arent you EMELIA?! When a rep called back, named EMELIA, her only offer was to discount me and upgrade me NEXT TIME! HELLO!?! Why would i want to giVe you money again when you royally f'd up this time? So.... the solution was give us more money, and we will make it right with your next $350 rental for one week.. This company, and it's idiotic operations and reps are just a headache nobody should have to deal with when they are just renting a car. Something that should be hassle-free I really am dissappointed with all of this, and since i am a daily vlogger i had the good sense to vlog and film everything. Showing my original booking, and what i ended up with.. i understand at the holidays they might be busy, but that should be the time you really are concerned with your customer experience. Especially when there was a fleet of suv's you could have given me, when my bill for one week was already $50 more than any other rental week ive had from Detroit to California. Stay far away from this place.. they simply have no respect for their customers, and refused to even lower my rate to the actual car i got, and not what i booked. I now have to file a grievance with the Better Business Bureau, as well as informing as many people as possible through social media, so that others don't make the mistake of giving these shysters your business.

I took the time this morning to create an account with Budget and sign up for Fast Break so I could go straight to my car. After taking the shuttle to the car lot I wandered around in freezing rain and couldn't find where to go. I went back to the counter area and found someone that would listen to me that told me that Fast Break was "unavailable" today and I'd have to get in line. A line a lot longer than when I arrived but zero communication from Budget ... Yeah. Fun. 2 counter attendants and like 20 people in line. No way I get to my destination on time. They have QR codes posted everywhere to scan to shorten time then don't bother to keep up their end of the bargain yet if you complain, it's not fixed and no one cares so what is happening in America these days? Bad service, long lines, rude people... Goodness! I tried and still lost :( Budget was really really bad today on my first (and last) experience with them Also, the shuttle from DTW? Driver didn't even try standing up to help people with luggage even when a passenger struggled to get a heavy bag up the steep steps. Just sat there staring. And still had a Tip Jar 2 feet away. Yikes!
