Gum stuck in the door. This was the piece I couldn't get out
    Martina C.

So far I have nothing at all nice to say about this Enterprise location. The employees are nice but this has been an added stress and a nightmare so far. I had a rental from the TV highway location in December and everything about it was 5 stars. Taylor worked with us and the entire process was smooth and FAST and 0 stress. I worked with them again because GEICO uses Enterprise and I selected the same location. When I arrived to the collision center, Enterprise wasn't there. Then the girl who came from Enterprise said she didn't know i needed a car seat transferred and they'd have to send another car. Because they didn't have room for a car seat AND the other person they had to take back to Enterprise. So the nightmare continued once we got to the location. Ben, who was helping out from their corporate office, was 5 stars in his customer service. They had not a lot of cars available so I got this massive Dodge Durango with a 3rd row. Ben was THE most patient and kind guy who spent 90 minutes with me helping me get my son's car seat into this disaster SUV. For that I gave Ben and Will and the other guy there 5 stars. They TRIED so hard to help me and make it a good experience. Everywhere they lacked, in aggravation, frustration, organization, lack of trained staff was a 1 star. The car is 2 stars. It was SO not cleaned properly and I got my cable straps for the gym stuck on GUM that someone left in the door. Who does that?! But also why wouldn't they have cleaned that out?! GROSS. Also the car reeks and after a week, REEKS of men's cologne. I don't know how it smells so strong but frankly it's like it's IN the air vents. When Ben gave me the car initially, it looked like someone opened a can of something that sprayed all over the back of the seats so I asked him to have it cleaned and wiped down and he did, of course, because he was fantastic. But I have 2 kids under 10, who were with me, and even though we are all masked, I'm cautious because I don't want them getting COVID since they can't be vaccinated yet (I am vaccinated.) I grabbed one of my Bac wipes that I use for carts, etc and just wiped the steering wheel and panel before driving off and it was very very dirty. I'm looking forward to turning this car back in because it's definitely not been great. I miss my car, despite the Durango having more features it's just not as comfortable. And I'm very disappointed in this experience with Enterprise but I really and truly appreciate Ben doing a top notch job and going over and above. Truthfully this would have been a 1 star review if it weren't for Ben.

Coming back here to say I would rather be stranded with a bike than ever use this service. They charged my car over $700 when I signed my receipt for $94. The absolute worst company I've ever had to deal with and this was suppose to "help" me when my car broke down. What a joke of a company. I'll make sure to tell everyone I know about this experience.

They waited until two minutes before I got there so tell me they had no cars and they were too busy to call me prior. I did that, and they are still fraud me for a vehicle that I never even used. I was late leaving town because of this whole fiasco. I had to find a car through someone else. Was late to my father in laws funeral. Now we are almost a week later the charge still has not come off my account. I tried calling their manager Riley at their location. He laughed at me and said whatever and hung up on me. This is fraud, and the worst customer service one could possibly experience. I emailed their corporate email to no avail. Why am I paying for a vehicle that they never had in the first place? On top of all the time and stress I have experienced to just be laughed at and hung up on. The manager Riley's phone number is. 5035666644. I was told there were no managers at the Tigard location however when he answered the phone he said that he worked at the Tigard location. So many lies, so much wasted time and so, so much stress. I was referred to them through my sister who manages Schwabie, Williamson and Wyatt. Umm, that's totally weird. So I had to drop it off the next day when they are open on the weekends for only FOUR hours (10 am - 2 pm) b/c he couldn't go. And you get charged $10 if it's late. So basically the owner banks on everyone being late... What we thought was going to be a budget saver of less than $100, ended up costing almost $200 with his insistence on insurance, etc. I unfortunately have to agree with others. We will never rent from this location again. And I'll be reporting him to their headquarters.

So I go get breakfast and come back, when I get there I walk into the sears car shop, and ask about the truck. They point to the back of there show room. The sears guy says "he probably won't shoot you for walking behind the counter. " So the rental shop is about as big as a broom closet. And there's a sign on the counter saying that the rental employee is "detailing cars for sears " I thought that was strange especially since they weren't connected. So then this man appears and I explain I made a reservation for a 26' truck. And the man told me he didn't care he doesn't have a truck for me. So I said well I paid for it. And he said no all I did was put my credit card on file. I asked why would it let me make a reservation if you don't have truck for me to rent ? He told me that I could make a reservation in front of him and he still wouldn't have a truck for me. At this point in getting up set and I ask if he can check some where else because I needed a truck I was on a time line. Which he responded he didn't have access to that. So I asked how do I get a truck ? He responded I would have to call the budget customer service number And he couldn't help me. Which I did and they didn't have a truck in the portland area. I express my dissatisfaction with them and how I was on a time line and now I would have to find something else. But I was astonished at how rude this guy was to me. Exceptional Service at Canyon Road Enterprise - Zac and Team Went Above and Beyond…read more After my car was broken into and my purse and wallet stolen, I was already dealing with the trauma of feeling violated while navigating the exhausting process of replacing everything - closing bank accounts, getting a new driver's license, and filing police reports. When my car went to the shop, I reserved a rental through my insurance at the Highway 99 Enterprise location. I called ahead to explain my situation and that I only had a temporary paper license from the DMV. I offered to bring my passport and any other documentation needed. The Oregon DMV confirmed over the phone that my temporary license and supporting documents were sufficient for verification. I even went into the local DMV office in person to see if there was anything else I could do, but they assured me that what I had was completely valid and should be accepted. However, the manager at Highway 99 flatly refused, insisting I needed a physical license with my photo - something the DMV said would require starting the entire process over and paying additional expedited fees since they use a third party for processing and couldn't refund what I'd already paid. Throughout this interaction, the manager showed zero compassion, speaking to me coldly as if my situation was just an inconvenience to him. Even when I asked if my husband could rent the car for me, he incorrectly stated I couldn't drive it without a physical license (which my insurance confirmed was false - Oregon law allows me to drive any car I'm insured for with my temporary license). I left feeling defeated and violated all over again. Thankfully, a relative who works for Enterprise suggested I try another location. When I called Canyon Road in Beaverton, it was like night and day. The manager and Zac (who's in the management training program) were immediately sympathetic and accommodating. They found a way to verify my identity without bending any rules and got me into a rental car. They even came to my house for pickup to ensure I was completely taken care of during this difficult time. The contrast between locations was striking - where Highway 99's manager was cold and dismissive, the Canyon Road team showed genuine care and understanding. Zac and the manager (I wish I could remember his name!) turned one of my worst weeks into a moment where I felt heard and helped. I cannot recommend the Canyon Road Enterprise location highly enough. If you need a rental car in the Beaverton area, this is the team you want - professional, compassionate, and genuinely committed to customer service. Thank you to the entire Canyon Road team for restoring my faith in customer service during such a challenging time. Kym

Hertz Rent A Car - Supposed "smoke ashes"

    Hertz Rent A Car

Terrible Service, False Accusations, and Unjust Fees…read more We had a deeply frustrating experience returning a rental car to the Hertz location in Beaverton after picking it up at the Portland airport. Upon arrival, no one even asked for my name or any return details. A blonde employee took the keys and went to inspect the car. A few minutes later, she returned with another employee--who appeared to be a friend--and claimed they had to charge me a $250 smoking fee. This was completely absurd. Neither my wife nor I smoke, and we certainly did not smoke in the vehicle. In fact, my wife has asthma--she wouldn't even be able to tolerate being in a smoke-filled car. I immediately explained this and asked to see the supposed "ashes" they claimed to find in the middle console. The employee refused to show me anything and simply repeated the claim without evidence. I checked myself and saw absolutely nothing. I even offered to be tested for smoke exposure and mentioned that the scent may have been from Peruvian food we had the day before. The car was only in our possession for three days, and the idea that we'd somehow smoked in it during that time is completely unfounded. Still, I was told I either had to pay the fee or pay to have it cleaned to "remove the smell." I refused, as there was no smoke smell caused by us to begin with. Later, I returned with the car freshly aired out and sprayed with Febreze. This time, an older bearded employee claimed it still smelled like smoke and insisted the fee would remain. My wife reminded me that when we first got the car, it already had a faint smoke odor--which she didn't mention earlier because we didn't plan to use the car much, and assumed it had been cleaned to Hertz standards. Clearly, it wasn't. It's also important to note that I have a deviated septum, which makes it difficult for me to detect smells in the first place. To me, the car smelled completely fine. But this raises a major concern--what if someone who is alone and has similar difficulty identifying smells picks up a car that already smells like smoke? How would they defend themselves against a false accusation when Hertz provides no objective way to test or validate the claim? The system is set up so that the customer's word means nothing. You're guilty until proven innocent--and there's no way to prove your innocence. Out of frustration, I took the car to the Hertz location at the Hillsboro airport. There, I explained the situation to a much more professional and reasonable staff member. She looked up my record and confirmed there was a note in the system stating the previous renter had already reported the smoke smell when they received the vehicle. She even mentioned that another customer had come in just two days earlier with the same complaint, after renting from the Portland airport. She believed it was likely a cleaning issue at the Portland location--which makes complete sense, considering the pattern of complaints. I appreciate the help I received in Hillsboro, but I strongly urge others to avoid the Beaverton Hertz. The staff there was dismissive, unprofessional, and made baseless accusations without verifying information or providing proof. Once an accusation is made, it's your word against theirs--and they seem to operate under the assumption that the customer is guilty. I even spoke to my Uber driver after the return--he also shared that he'd had a terrible experience at this same location, involving the same three employees. That says a lot. If you value honesty and professionalism, steer clear of this Hertz. The staff lacks integrity, and you could easily find yourself being charged for something you had no part in--unless you have video evidence of every moment you had the car. Not worth the headache. I will be sure to add pictures of the supposed "ashes" in the middle console(but as you will see... there is nothing there except the regular car dust/lint/food crumbs).

service: UBER RENTAL employee: SOLEDAD DELGADO…read more My experience with the Uber rental program through Hertz in Beaverton was extremely negative, and the entire system feels exploitative toward drivers. Drivers are paying around $400 per week just to rent the car, plus another $200 or more per week in gas. If someone works hard and makes $1,000 in a week driving, they realistically walk away with maybe $400 before taxes and other expenses. That's not a sustainable system -- it effectively creates a working underclass of drivers who carry all the costs while Hertz and Uber collect guaranteed weekly payments. What made it worse is how poorly the vehicles are maintained. Drivers are expected to deal with things like oil changes, even though the cars are supposed to be part of a professionally managed rental fleet. The car I was given was already showing that it needed an oil change immediately, which tells you the vehicles aren't being properly serviced before they're handed out. Instead, the burden gets pushed onto the driver who is already paying hundreds of dollars per week to rent the car. The customer service at this location made the experience even worse. The employee who "assisted" me, Soledad Delgado, was disrespectful and unprofessional during the return process. After I asked several questions about the program and the charges, the interaction became increasingly hostile. When I returned the vehicle, I was told I could either clean the car myself or be charged a $75 cleaning fee. I went and spent $15 cleaning the car inside and out to avoid the fee. Even after doing that, I was told it was still up to his discretion whether he would charge the $75 anyway. At that point it no longer felt like a legitimate policy -- it felt like a way to punish a customer for asking too many questions. Between the excessive weekly costs, poorly maintained vehicles, and the unprofessional treatment at the Beaverton location, I would strongly caution anyone considering the Uber-Hertz rental program here. Drivers deserve better than a system that charges them hundreds of dollars per week while shifting maintenance responsibilities onto them and treating them like they're disposable.
