**Terrible Experience at Highway 99 Enterprise - Completely Lacking in Compassion and Customer Service** I want to warn others about the Highway 99 Enterprise location and their manager's appalling treatment of customers in difficult situations. After my car was broken into and my purse and wallet stolen, I was already traumatized and dealing with the exhausting process of replacing everything - closing bank accounts, getting a new driver's license, and filing police reports. When my car went to the shop, my insurance reserved a rental for me at this location. I called ahead to explain that I only had a temporary paper license from the DMV and offered to bring my passport and any other documentation needed. The Oregon DMV confirmed over the phone that my temporary license was completely valid. I even went into the local DMV office in person to see if there was anything else I could do, but they assured me that what I had should absolutely be accepted for rental purposes. The manager at Highway 99 flatly refused to help me. He insisted I needed a physical license with my photo - something the DMV explained would require me to start the entire process over and pay additional expedited fees (since they use a third party for processing and couldn't refund what I'd already paid). Throughout our interaction, this manager showed ZERO compassion. He spoke to me coldly and condescendingly, as if my situation was just an inconvenience to him. There was no attempt to find a solution or show any understanding for what I'd been through. When I asked if my husband could rent the car instead, he said yes but then incorrectly claimed I couldn't drive it without a physical license. This was completely false - my insurance confirmed that Oregon law allows me to drive any car I'm insured for with my temporary license. He was either ignorant of the law or deliberately misleading me. I left feeling defeated and violated all over again. This manager's cold, rude, and dismissive attitude made an already horrible week even worse. There appears to be no training in customer service or basic human empathy at this location. After calling a relative who works for Enterprise, I tried the Canyon Road location in Beaverton instead. The difference was night and day - they were sympathetic, accommodating, and even came to my house for pickup. They found a way to help me without any issues. **DO NOT use the Highway 99 Enterprise location if you have any complications or need understanding staff.** The manager there will not help you, will not show compassion, and will make you feel worse about an already bad situation. Drive the extra miles to Canyon Road or any other location - it's worth it to be treated like an actual human being. Zero stars if I could give it. Absolutely shameful customer service. read more

So far I have nothing at all nice to say about this Enterprise location. The employees are nice but this has been an added stress and a nightmare so far. I had a rental from the TV highway location in December and everything about it was 5 stars. Taylor worked with us and the entire process was smooth and FAST and 0 stress. I worked with them again because GEICO uses Enterprise and I selected the same location. When I arrived to the collision center, Enterprise wasn't there. Then the girl who came from Enterprise said she didn't know i needed a car seat transferred and they'd have to send another car. Because they didn't have room for a car seat AND the other person they had to take back to Enterprise. So the nightmare continued once we got to the location. Ben, who was helping out from their corporate office, was 5 stars in his customer service. They had not a lot of cars available so I got this massive Dodge Durango with a 3rd row. Ben was THE most patient and kind guy who spent 90 minutes with me helping me get my son's car seat into this disaster SUV. For that I gave Ben and Will and the other guy there 5 stars. They TRIED so hard to help me and make it a good experience. Everywhere they lacked, in aggravation, frustration, organization, lack of trained staff was a 1 star. The car is 2 stars. It was SO not cleaned properly and I got my cable straps for the gym stuck on GUM that someone left in the door. Who does that?! But also why wouldn't they have cleaned that out?! GROSS. Also the car reeks and after a week, REEKS of men's cologne. I don't know how it smells so strong but frankly it's like it's IN the air vents. When Ben gave me the car initially, it looked like someone opened a can of something that sprayed all over the back of the seats so I asked him to have it cleaned and wiped down and he did, of course, because he was fantastic. But I have 2 kids under 10, who were with me, and even though we are all masked, I'm cautious because I don't want them getting COVID since they can't be vaccinated yet (I am vaccinated.) I grabbed one of my Bac wipes that I use for carts, etc and just wiped the steering wheel and panel before driving off and it was very very dirty. I'm looking forward to turning this car back in because it's definitely not been great. I miss my car, despite the Durango having more features it's just not as comfortable. And I'm very disappointed in this experience with Enterprise but I really and truly appreciate Ben doing a top notch job and going over and above. Coming back here to say I would rather be stranded with a bike than ever use this service. They charged my car over $700 when I signed my receipt for $94. The absolute worst company I've ever had to deal with and this was suppose to "help" me when my car broke down. What a joke of a company. My car suddenly died on a Friday night and so I needed a car while I learned to drive stick shift... The next day, Saturday, I was at Costco Googling some options while my partner panicked. I needed to rent a car that same day or the next (Sunday) and be able to keep it for at least a week. I decided to call Enterprise in Tigard (farther from airport is usually cheaper). The call led to a call center and they have me a quote that was $2/day cheaper than things I've found online (my partner says calling usually gives cheaper rates) and I was able to pick up the car in 1-2 hours. Arriving there, they didn't have anymore economy compact cars and gave me the choice between 2 SUVs. So I got to drive a new Nissan Rogue which was pretty great. Checking out the car took like 5 min and returning the car took about the same amount of time. Service was very nice, efficient and the process seemed streamlined. Every time I contacted them they always asked how the car was and if I had any feedback for them. I found something questionable left behind by a previous customer and they offered me 50% off! Getting out of the place can be difficult, the main road is Highway 99 and it tends to get backed up with people trying to get on the freeway. On the other hand, it's right off I-5 and there are several gas stations nearby! Just gotta hope drivers remain kind and courteous and let you onto the road, which they usually do. read more

Enterprise on Pacific Hwy - Sean told me that I couldn't pick up a car past 4:30. When I started asking questions he told me he was the manager and then hung up on me. When I tried calling back he would pick up and leave the phone off the hook. I called the Tualatin branch location and they were so so helpful and able to get me into a car before 5:00pm. I would not recommend the Pacific Hwy location at all. Their manager Sean clearly does not care about Enterprise customers. They should not advertise open until 5:00pm if they can't help anyone beyond 4:30pm. I get that it's close to closing time, but the fact that another branch was happily able to help me and get me out the door before 5pm makes me think they just didn't want to help me. My insurance company set me up with a rental at Enterprise after my parked car was hit by a construction vehicle. Upon first experience, I was wowed...They picked me up from the repair shop and delivered me to their location on SW Barbur where a very kind, helpful, overworked employee gave me her undivided attention. Since they didn't know I was coming (neither did I), all they had to offer me was a large van. The employee was apologetic but offered that if it really was too big (for me to drive around/park in the city every day) I could call in a couple of days and they'd get me into something smaller. I got home that night and noticed the van was leaking oil and upon arriving at work the following morning the "fill oil" alert had come on. I called the wonderful employee a the Barbur location and she said to call again before bringing it in that afternoon and they'd get me a new vehicle (something smaller). By the time I called she wasn't working, but a different employee answered the phone. He said all they had to offer were large vans. I really needed something smaller. I asked about other locations and he said the SW Pacific Hwy location usually had the most cars. I rerouted my map and headed that way, requesting that he call the other location to confirm they would have something for me. He supposedly did so and confirmed with me. I arrived at the SW Pacific Hwy location and the woman tries to give me ANOTHER VAN. I'm getting pretty irritated at this point because I have now wasted precious on-the-clock time for work to try and get this sorted out. I tell her that the whole reason I drove to Tigard was because they were supposed to have something different. She claims that the only information they received was that I needed a new vehicle because of the oil leak. I get the guy from Barbur on the phone and he says he told them all the info and confirmed they had a different car for me. As you can see I went in circles with these people. They were not trying to solve the problem and locate me a smaller car. They simply wanted me out of their way. The woman looked over the new van (now I'm fuming) and hands me the keys and walks away. do not rent here they are outrageous and unreasonable I was in one of their rentals that i had rented for the month and i was hit by a garbage truck. The truck covered all the damages and admitted fault. i got a new rental car from enterprise. After i returned that rental i got an email saying they won't rent to me anymore I called and asked the manger timothy and asked why? Then he said it was all a head ache and that they don't want to rent to me anymore because i extended my rental a month and then he lied and said i had smoked in the vehicle when i didn't and i have pictures of the car before i returned it. I used their on-line reservation to rent while my car was being repaired. My insurance company has relationship with Enterprise and strongly recommended them. Before making the reservation, I called the number on the e-mail to ask questions regarding rules around an 18 year old driver (my son), car selection and payment/ID requirements at pick-up. Here we go..... The driver showed up almost an hour late. As I was told 18 year old drivers are restricted to the vehicles they can rent, I reserved a mid-size sedan. The associate showed up with a full size 4-door pick-up. We were refused rental because my son did not have a credit card (he has a debit card), and the associate could not accept my credit card (not what I was told on the phone three days prior) and allow my son as a driver. The car was ok but what was super frustrating was I left my messenger bag in the trunk and no one from their facility called me. I finally figured it out (3) days later and when I called I was told yes it's here. WHY WOULD'T SOMEONE HAVE THE CURTESY TO CALL AND SAY... HEY YOU LEFT SOMETHING IN THE TRUNK. The staff at the Enterprise on Highway 99 was great. Super friendly. But here is what happened. I picked up a car on a rainy January evening. The car was outside in a dark parking lot. Not in a garage. Because it was dark and raining, the Enterprise employee inspected the car for damage using his cell phone flashlight. He noted no damage. 36 miles later I returned the car. I parked it in the lot and left the keys in the drop slot. We rent every week from Enterprise. So we often drop cars off in this manner. I got a call the next day telling me there was damage to the underside, back right wheel fender. My husband and I went over to the Enterprise facility to see what in the world was going on. There were some black scuffs. . .but I did not put them there. We took a photo. So began a long, long road to collections. There were phone calls back and forth. Then they sent us eight pictures of various and random types of damage around the entire perimeter of the car. We called back every time asking for a manager. Speaking to corporate. Even offered to meet them half way. Instead, six months later and out of the blue, we were turned over to a collections agency. In an odd twist, we ran into an acquaintance, going through the very same issue with Enterprise. Both she and we are frequent renters. The situations are identical. Just returned my vehicle rental to Enterprise Rent-A-Car at their Tigard location on Hwy 99 yesterday afternoon. I don't normally review a business or answer customer satisfaction surveys, as these are time consuming. Nevertheless, this time I want to recognize the EXCEPTIONAL customer service I received from ALL the staff at this location. My insurance set me up to pick up a car rental at this location, as it's closer to my house. Shawna came to my home and picked me up. When we got to their branch, I was interested in renting a compact car as it was good enough to get me to work and back to my house. They didn't had one at the time; no problem, Shawna kindly upgraded me to a pickup truck. A couple days later, I returned the pickup as I wasn't satisfied with the fuel economy on this vehicle. I was graciously greeted by Taylor, the Assistant Manager, and she got me the compacted vehicle I wanted since my first visit. Fast forward another couple of days, noticed something with the compact vehicle. Enterprise sent Tyler out to my house and took care of my concern. Then, the unexpected happened and this is where their Branch Manager, Justin came to my rescue. I was at an unsafe location, and this is where Justin showed what a leader should to in these type of circumstances. He immediately took action without hesitation and drove me to a safe location. Justin was surprised how cool I was with the situation, as another customer probably would've reacted differently. This is may sound like a story out of tale book, but these are true events that happened to me with my car rental experience. I made a half impromptu trip to Portland this past weekend with my boyfriend. The trip was relaxing and enjoyable. At one point I even considered moving to Oregon lol. I swear Portland was trying to keep us because the trip was peaceful until we tried to leave. Less than 20 miles out of the city, a car decides to rear end me in stopped traffic causing me to ram into the car in front of me. When everything was settled, I just wanted to go home, so we found our way to the closest enterprise. It was near closing and I was worried that they wouldn't have a car for us! Everyone was so welcoming and seemed like they genuinely cared when they asked if I was okay (seeing my pancaked car on the tow truck and the huge bump on my forehead) Luckily, they did have an available car and I was back on the road in about 15 mins. Made a bad situation so much better. I was really impressed with the customer service I recently received at this location. No less than 5 employees have helped me either in person or on the phone and they were all outstanding. My vehicle was vandalized and I needed a car immediately to get to work. They were helpful and accommodating. A few days later once my insurance finally connected I needed a larger vehicle. They made it happen. They were super busy but handled everyone professionally and courteously. I watched as the phone rang off the hook and people kept coming in the door but they kept cool and all handled everyone superbly. Not even to mention the vehicles were clean and good order. Antonio Hayes is easily the rudest human I've ever talked to in 'Customer Service'. After being directly lied to about an underage driver exception, I cancelled my reservation. Afterwards I learned I did qualify for an exception which Antonio did not share with me after asking. When I called back he chose to hang up on me because I was frustrated, yet still maintained my professionalism. I explained that this was for my wedding and by him not providing adequate information, much stress had been added. He said word for word, "I don't want want to talk to you. You can call back when you aren't frustrated." He refused to own his mistakes and has completely screwed up my wedding car rental. 3 phone calls and he consistently hung up on me. He told me was the manager once I asked to speak to one. On my final call, when asking his exact position so I could speak to a higher up he responded with "I'm whatever you want me to be." following an immediate hang up. "Customer service is our way of life" is on the business card, yet he showed no empathy and didn't advocate even slightly on my behalf. Will not recommend this location to anyone. Standard car rental place. I had some work being done on my vehicle and asked the autoshop to set up a rental car for me. It was a request and he obliged, does it all the time. When I went to leave my car at the Autoshop, the Enterprise guy came and picked me up to get me my rental at the Enterprise shop. There weren't any cars available. Cue- Jerry Seinfeld episode. I was in a cheerful mood, I guess so remained patient, the fella that helped was reassuring, "we'll get you something" Geee! Thanks, you better, that's why I am here. I had to be taken all the way from Tigard to Tualatin to get a rental. Very annoying. Monday morning, I had to go to work. Process took about an hour. It worked out. When I went to return the car, the manager asked how things went, I shared my story and he offered me a free upgrade on my next rental. I do appreciate the question and the service there. I'm very happy with my rental experience with this Enterprise office. The ladies in this office (I didn't see any guys either day I was there) know how to be efficient and friendly. I needed a car for one day while my car was being repaired, and even though it was a last-minute arrangement, they gave me a great price for the day and put me in a much better car than I thought I would be getting for that money. They were quick to pick me up at the mechanic's shop, quick getting me on the road, and quick getting me back to the shop the following day. And... thanks to this office being located just south of the Multnomah County line, I was able to avoid a hefty Multnomah tax that would have added almost $10 cost to the rental (stupid Multnomah County, stupid). Enterprise has the best rental deals of any car rental place I know of. We rent about 15 times a year and use them whenever we can. They drive to you and pick you up and bring you back to the rental place, you sign the papers and off you go. When you return the car, they drive you to your destination and drop you off. Tips. Always ask for the smallest car and they never have it when you get there so they give you a bigger car at the rate for the smaller car. Very often you can rent a car on weekends for $9.99. always check for this option This pick up and drop off is no big deal if you are flying into an airport (where else would fly into) and will be flying out of the airport BUT think!!! If you use the hotel shuttle to pick you up at the airport and to drop you off, you can rent for 2 less days. Even better, if you are staying for a while you might rent for 2 or 3 times and have the rental place picking you up and dropping you off and save even more. The founder of Enterprise was a fighter pilot in WW2 who flew off of the USS Enterprise ( a member of the greatest generation) and is one of the reasons you are not speaking Japanese today. It's been 40 minutes so far waiting to pick up the only minivan on site after making a reservation ahead of time online. Never again! read more

I've rented here for about a month and half because I was waiting for my car to get here from another state. One of the best things about Enterprise is that they will pick you up and drop you off whenever you return or need the car. Because I've been to this location so often, I pretty much know everyone who works here (Lukas, Rachel, Tyler, Rob, Christian, etc) and they were all extremely nice and helpful. There wasn't one person that treated me unkindly. One of the cons to Enterprise, is that although you may book a certain car, that car may not actually be available and you will have to get a another car or wait a really long time. To solve this, rent the cheapest car online. I usually did this and they would never have the cheapest car (because it got rented frequently) and I could then have my pick of a different/larger car for the same price. This isn't always the case but it worked for me. Note to future renters: make sure you book online because the prices are cheaper AND ask about possible discounts. I usually got a discount for having a Costco card. read more
