Today my car died and I had to take it in to the shop. I was looking for a rental in order to get to work. Due to the terrible experience at this enterprise location today I had to miss work along with my fiance. This was a major inconvenience to both of us since the staff refused to help.  My Fiance went in today to pick up a reservation rental vehicle. At the time of pick up, he was informed there would be a $300 deposit fee, which was not even mentioned on the website. When it came down to paying for the rental, he tired using two different credit cards which he has used at other dealerships. Immediately when he tried to pay with them, this unprofessional woman jumped into the conversation and wanted to tell him they can't accept his terms of payment, which I knew was false. She was very rude and condescending, speaking very loudly for other customers to hear our business. Needless to say she is lucky I was not present when she was speaking to him in such an unprofessional manner. I would HIGHLY suggest not doing business with this poor excuse of an establishment!! Mind you this same woman was trash talking about a customer that came in. Who does that at their place of employment? How embarrassing! I will be calling the corporate location in Latham to complain about this woman. Coincidentally when I was on the phone with my Fiance, I heard her speaking about her having an interview with corporate. If this is how she treats customers, she should NOT be working for this company! Hands down this was the worst customer service experience we have endured. As a face of a company, this employee should reguard how she treats paying customers. read more

Clutch is the only word I can say. I was put off at the last minute by another enterprise in Albany, but this one quickly helped and got me on the road in less than an hour. The service there was extremely friendly and surprised I was put off by a neighboring branch. read more

e returned the rental vehicle after hours and dropped the keys in the drop box. The next morning we received a call from the manager "Matt" stating that the car was damaged and he needed my insurance information. I asked if the lot had cameras and he stated it did but he hadn't viewed the footage yet. I requested that he call the Troy police to which he stated that he could not as the car was my responsibility as no employee had checked it in when we returned it. We drove to the store to view the damages and we called the Troy police department ourselves. The officer stated that this particular location has an issue with vandalism and has been instructed that they need to secure the lot better. It was obvious that someone had walked across the cars parked next to this particular vehicle by the muddy footprints on their hoods and then jumped onto the hood of the car we returned. Enterprise has treated us horribly and still demands that we pay for the damages! They should not allow after hour drop offs at locations where vandalism has been an issue. As a side note, when I visited the Troy police department to retrieve a copy of the police report, the desk officer stated that their had been 10 more acts of vandalism at Enterprise the night after we returned our rental! read more

This is the first time using the Troy location, I travel often for my work. I was checked in and driving away within 10 minutes. Staff were great, very friendly, and helpful. Returning the car took 5 minutes. They are in a very convenient location, lots of secure parking when leaving your vehicle. read more

I use Enterprise RAC often for rentals and generally I have great service at their locations. I was leery of using a new location for fear it would be less than stellar but they didn't let me down. I go in, give my name and they get me out in no time at all. They are great, friendly, jovial, and always looking to ensure my expectations were exceeded. What a nightmare I called and reserved a car for a week because our car had to go in the shop. Showed up to pick up a car and was told they do not have our reservation OR any cars! Back home trying to reschedule my car repair and TRY AGAIN to rent a car and today the rates are $60 more than I booked it at yesterday! I called 518-279-9130 looking to book in Troy, NY. Whoever took my reservation and ALL of our information, never booked the reservation. read more

I have been taking advantage of the weekend special which I believe ends this week. I don't own a car and am on a very limited fixed income. Recently I have been treating myself to a car rental about once a month to catch up on shopping and such. I spend very little money here but I am usually greeted by name and they act like they are thrilled to death to see me. (wish I could remember names like that) They have never complained about picking me up and driving me back home before and after my rental. We live in a rural area but they were willing to come pick me up even though it was outside the 10 mile limit I was told by the main reservation office. Rented an impala from them right near the end of June for 3 days, returned it in perfect condition. After checking my credit card statement they attempted to charge me for all the added insurance (I believe there's 4 things) and I know for a fact I only selected 2. After speaking to them on the phone they checked my agreement to confirm and reimbursed me, but make sure to check your statement after doing business with them, feel like this do this on purpose to see if it will slip under the radar. read more

Rented a vehicle from Troy, NY to travel to PA for a flight. We worked with Enterprise so that we could get a one-way rental back to Troy from PA after our return flight. When we returned to the airport, the Enterprise people there would not honor our reservation because we did not have a credit card - only a debit card. They refused to do a one-way rental with a debit card (we ended up renting a vehicle from Budget very easily with the debit card for our return trip!). That was frustrating enough, but now (almost a month later!) we were charged $30 because they state we ran a toll. At no point on our trip did we run a toll. They are stating that we have to prove we did NOT run a toll, which we cannot do because we did not ask for toll receipts...because we did not expect to have this unbelievable problem. I always rent from Enterprise either the local branch at Hoosick Street in Troy, NY or at Albany International Airport. I have rented from other rental companies but Enterprise always had the best deal. The staff are friendly and look for ways to make it work for you and make the rental experience worth it. I used the pick-me-up service and all I can say that I felt like a celebrity for once. Finally, I rent from Enterprise for 10 years now and there is nothing to indicate that I will change that habit anytime soon. read more
