When we first rented our vehicle it went smoothly. Just wish the guy that rented us the vehicle; would have told us about the Nissan Rouge. We didn't know anything about the vehicle. Then when we got home and started to pack it. I said to my husband it looks like it too small. We should take it back and get a bigger one. We did not do that! But our trouble with the vehicle started about 1 hour from Vegas (Mechanical issues). I called Customer Service to find out what our next move is. They told me to head to the airport to get another vehicle. We got our other vehicle which was a Ford Escape (3" smaller). 3"makes a huge difference. We had some issues with the Ford Escape, not big. When we returned our vehicle; Cori helped us. We informed her of all the problems and she credit us back the 1st day. Cori was very understanding of the issues we had. I've rented many cars from Enterprise in Tulare without any problems--until today. I picked up an SUV for the day and returned it after hours, which their website clearly states is acceptable. But Cory, the manager, decided to charge me an extra $200 for the day. I've always returned vehicles after hours without any issues, so this sudden change feels completely wrong. It's frustrating when a company picks and chooses when to enforce rules, especially when I've been a loyal customer. Because of this experience, I won't be renting from the Tulare Enterprise again. Consistency and fairness matter, and it's disappointing to see customer service lose its importance. read more

Ive rented with enterprise before and had a terrible experience and said i would not go back to them. But i ended up going back hoping that they might have got their Sh!* together. But NO.... they are just as terrible as the last time i rented with them. Very unreliable. I rented a car, had the reservation and confirmation number. I went to the location and they said they would not rent me the car with a debit card. They also said since I have an out of state license they couldn't rent me the car. Really? How many people in state rent cars vs out of state people visiting rent cars? I'm also retired military and really don't appreciate the tone used with me as if I didn't deserve to rent one of their cars. All I wanted to do was rent a car for 3 days and this is the crap we have to deal with? People need to really look at their business practices. read more

Would have given zero stars if that was an option. This is the second time I've made a reservation online and the vehicle chosen was not available. The first time they called the day before my trip to tell me. This time they waited until I showed up and waited in line to tell me they didn't have the vehicle available. The man the helped me today just quit talking to me when I wouldn't accept their offer, completely dismissed me. Just bad service all around. read more

On 2/19/2025, I reserved a full sized SUV for pick up on 2/22/2025 at 9:30 am and return on 2/24/2025 at 9:30 am. I received a confirmation number. On 2/21/2025, at 2:00 pm, I received a call from Manuel, who informed me that the SUV they had reserved for me was returned damaged, and I would have to choose something else. He said he had a minivan available. I asked for an upgrade, but he said he did not have a Jeep Wagoneer available. I then agreed to be downgraded to the minivan. The next day, I went to the office at 9:30 am to pick up the minivan. The agent informed me that he had a Highlander for me, that it was having its oil changed and would need to be cleaned, and then I could have it. There was no mention of the minivan. I agreed for him to give me a call when the Highlander was ready. I waited until 10:50 am, at which point I called the office to check the status of the Highlander. I was then informed that the Highlander would not be ready by the time the office closed at 12:00 pm, and was told, "Sorry." That was it. They did not offer me another vehicle. I was left without a vehicle, and was already an hour and a half late to my out of town destination. read more

While driving the rear end spun out and he hit a tree going 50 mph the accident was caused because the service dept didn't put the lug nuts on the tire it was being held on by one. Now they are trying to hold him liable for damages and won't even cover medical even though he had the full coverage through the company. Do you think this is fair read more

Today is Monday I called to reserve a car last week on Thursday so I could pick up a car today that my insurance would cover they said they have it ready on Monday well I'm here and they don't have a car for me that my insurance covers ! But they do have one that I have to pay out of pocket on I don't understand why we waste our time to reserve a car with them and they don't have nothing for you but they quick to say we have one but you gonna have to pay more I'm a local business owner if I promise something to a customer I do everything in my power to keep them satisfied! Spoke to COREY THE MANAGER !! Explaining that I got a jeep from them friday since Saturday I was leaving early for my trip obviously didn't take mine because I didn't want it breaking down it being a old car and it being a 6 hour drive by 2 pm Saturday the car wasn't turning on because the battery was dead I went with limited money they quoted me $250 for a new battery so that definitely was not going to happen so I had to buy jumper cables and was getting a jump Everywhere I went since they are closed early sat and Sunday I couldnt get it replaced so by monday I was over it i just wanted to go home had to waste more time to trade the car so I can get back home .. I talked to COREY THE MANAGER!!!! and said "you're lying because you did use it so your still getting charged" which is BS it was soo stressful my whole trip was a mess she dosnt know what I went through , she didn't even care to help me so had to speak too customer services hopefully they help me .. read more

After confirming a rental 6 days prior to our trip out of state for a funeral enterprise calls us THE DAY OF to tell us they no longer have the car available but they have a truck that we can take to another state. Enterprise literally called us 30 minutes prior to our pick up. Every other rental service was booked. First off where TF is our luggage going to go in a truck and why TF would I drive a truck to another state when gas prices are $5.30 a gallon. Make it make sense enterprise?! I thought It was odd for them to call the day prior to see if we were still coming to get the rental. I always use rentals to avoid putting tons of mileage on my luxury vehicle and never have I been called the day prior. I think they knew they didn't have a vehicle ready in all honesty. I understand accidents happen but the attitude of the employee who called was like oh well... not my problem. This is actually the second time I've had a problem with this location. I was not aware that my mother booked the rental from this location or I would have advised her not too because it's always some BS with them. All of the employees suck at this location. At least they are an equal opportunity employer because they definitely hire the mentally challenged. Save your money and time and go to Visalia! The budget rent a car on Burke is the best bang for your buck. I've rented with them at least 4 times and I've never had an issue. Just look at this enterprises reviews! They clearly suck and whoever is responding to these reviews is part of the problem. Instead of responding to complaints why don't you train your mentally challenged employees on how to run a car rental business because you guys are terrible and you should be ashamed. Went in on Friday the 15th to pick up rental in Tulare because Visalia didn't have any vehicles! I was given a 2020 VW Jetta .. car was dented, scratched up and just a mess outside ! I told the young man to please note all the damage .. on Saturday my daughter was getting into front seat she opened the passenger door and the door made this funny noise like it was going to fall off ! Couldn't call them because they're closed Saturday's and Sundays . So on Monday my husband had a doctors appt in LA ( reason for the rental ). While driving on the freeway every time we would go over 50 miles an hour car would shake .. trying to break the front wheels felt Like they were going to fall off ..( scary). When I got back to return the rental I explained to the young man that the car was horrible and scary to drive and made our trip to LA bad ! He didn't say anything or offer a discount .. He did ask if there was anything else and I told him to make sure he doesn't rent this car to anyone until they have it checked out! read more

Horrible experience!! They said they would call back after I gave them all of our insurance information, but never did. When I called back 4 days later, they apologized and confirmed our rental. When I went to pick up the car, it was the wrong size. Kyle argued that I didn't know which class of vehicle my personal vehicle is (large SUV) until I showed him insurance paperwork. Then he told me they didn't have a vehicle and did nothing to help. I continued to call and he told me I should have called earlier, arguing that I never called his location week in advance. Car swap! They were so helpful when my siblings and I drove from the Valley up north towards Modesto. We weren't satisfied with the car originally given too us. It felt small and was uncomfortable. They gladly switched our car out with a Jeep at no extra charge and hooked it up when it came to prices and arranging everything. They were helpful and understanding and worked quickly. read more

Wow, I was stunned at the amazing understanding of the customer relationship. I'm just your average Dumb Dumb, nobody special but I do not like to be "no " or have to wait in crazy lines for a vehicle I didn't want because it is "what is available now" or " First come first serve". I called Matt and told him I wanted a 2019 Toyota Camry V6, for 7 to 8 days. He said "No Problem , when do you need it ?." Rented a car while my car was in the shop. First of all I have the app, I'm also considered a member and get the points and "discounts". I put in all my info to reserve a car and thought this price seems high even with one day free with my points. So I looked online at other car rentals places to see better pricing. In doing so I seen they offered non members a better rate. So I put my info in as a non member got the price, which was $50 less. Then signed in online (not thru app) and got my free day off as well saving me $100 on the initial rental. I was to have the car 7 days, but returned it a day and half early. I only got back $1.86 plus my deposit. I know a day and half does not cost 1.86 to rent. So for 5.5 days and the amount I paid on the first day with one "free" day, I paid $75 a day for 4.5 days. They advertise for $33 a day. The guy who helped me, was confused and said he didn't know anything but the computer calculates it all. Will not be returning again. read more

We called ahead of time and reserved a Tahoe and the woman on the phone said we would either have a Tahoe or Yukon (we needed the extra room) & we get there and the employee says they don't guarantee a specific vehicle and gives us an expedition which is a lot smaller in the backseat. We get it and it's filthy! It isn't vacuumed and one of my kids found a dirty paper plate in the backseat. I will not be using this company again & I wouldn't recommend to anyone. read more

I am so disappointed in the Enterprise in Porterville, I call 10 days before my reservation and needed a truck to pickup some furniture, I received a reservation conform and was told it was reserved. I called back to ask a question, was told that they did not reserved a truck because I needed a Major credit card, when I called they said that I didn't need a major card with a small pick up truck, only with a lg truck, too think that if I would've called I would of been VERY upset, thinking I had reservation for a truck!! They where really helpful on getting me a truck because my work truck was getting worked on. The only reason I'm putting one star is because the day after I picked the truck up I got a call saying there was a recall on my tires that if I could take it in to get it checked out really quick. which was a lie, they needed the truck because the person that rented before me left his handgun in the truck and didn't tell me that they wanted me to take the truck in so they could get it before I took it in to the supposed recall I put my gun and ammo in the truck to go somewhere after the recall. I took the truck to the supposed recall check after that I ended up not going to the place I was going to go and when I checked for my gun at night it was gone. The next day I went back to enterprise to ask if I could I could see there cameras and they didn't want let me so I went to the police and reported my gun stolen with my paperwork of the gun and birth certificate in the same folder the cop went to enterprise and then asked me to bring the truck and found the other gun but enterprise gave my paperwork and gun to someone else and they shot my gun so now I'm doing tons of paperwork because of them and I had so much stress because of this be carefull what you leave in your truck they will take it all the paperwork and gun case had my name how can they give some random person that told them that, it wasn't there gun and still have it to them bad workers read more

They did give us a discount after some harassing. Wouldn't recommend this place if you have a set time to go somewhere. Or I recommend calling ahead to make sure they have your car ready. read more
