It has been a long six going on eight weeks of dealing with my car being in and out of the shop after having an unfortunate "Final Destination" log in the road moment... I rent cars often and I just had my best ever rental car experience at this location. For pick up I arrived 30 min before they opened because I didn't look up their hours. There's was another person waiting outside as well. Rather than making us sit there until opening, they checked into to see which vehicle class we had booked so they could ensure they had one clean and ready to go. They were even able to get us out the door a few min before opening. When I returned the vehicle 2 days later, a customer was on the lobby coming unhinged. She was trying to get a renatl through her insurance company who was not answering the phone. She was insistent that the Enterprise staff should be the ones to call her insurance and book her car. She was attempting to involve every staff member in her meltdown while others were waiting to be helped. Throughout it all the staff remained calm and kind, and managed to multitask and help the rest of us while still making her feel taken care of. I watched them go above and beyond for her, and while she did not seem to notice the rest of us did. Incredible staff and service, all of our future rentals in PDX will be done here! read more

I went to pick up my reserved car and I didnt have a CC so they requested a utility bill or check stub. My bad. I went got the required stuff. When I returned there were a few people a head of me. The gentalman whobwas being helped right before produxed a Washington St CDL class A drivers license and was told they could not acxeot it because it did not have the words Drivers License orinted on it.. I guess Commercial Drivers License (CDL) doesnt mean the same thing in enterprise rental car vocabulary. Just sayingvyou had poor customer service for that man. I specifically rented a large SUV. When they went to replace it with a supposedly luxury car as if they were upgrading me, I told them repeatedly that I wanted a large SUV for the purpose of trying that out. Even if that hadn't been irritating enough, the luxury SUV was nowhere near as nice as my mid-range minivan that was in the shop, AND it was a crappy drive as well. We had a tiny bit of snow and the SUV did not make it up my drive way. I don't live in the boonies. I have a suburbia drive way with a bit of a hill to it. I mean, for the love, how hard is it to drive up a driveway that a minivan traversed multiple times without a problem? Is scraping my driveway with my metal dustpan worth paying over $100 a day? In the dark? I hardly think so. Will I go back to Enterprise? Hard no. Hard, hard no. 1) Don't expect to get what you asked for when you rented from them. 2) Expect to be talked over and condescended to when you object to receiving what you paid for. read more

Do not rent from Enterprise! Recently rented from Enterprise while our car was in the shop. Wife picked up the car which had unnoticable damage and was filthy dirty from the prior customer. The car was inspected in pouring rain and the slight indication of the damage was not documented. Enterprise is now claiming we damaged the car and filing a claim that will go to collections unless we pay the 1500.00 repair bill. We know for a fact we did not cause this damage and the car was returned in same condition we received it. Unfortunately we cannot prove it. Be very careful folks! E side of NE Highway 99 S of NE 99th St. *** a bit of a warning on how Enterprise doess business: They "put a hold" on your bank account for $250 no matter how many day or days that you rent a vehicle for, which will lead you to believe that that amount will not post to your bank/CC account, which if you look at your account the next day will no longer be "pending" leading you to believe that you were not actutally charged, but then the day after if you look at your account that full amount ($250) will go through as posted because what they do is actually charge you that full amount then refund you the difference of the actual charge. That refund can take up to 3-5 days. If you're not aware of this things can get really ugly with your banking institution. I had the distinct pleasure of working with Torrie (sp) and Rachel (again sp!) They were out of "Economy" cars so I was given a complimentary upgrade to a fully loaded minivan... I mean this thing had everything and got really good gas mileage too! I figured out that the minivan was just too large so when I called them back the next day they were more than happy and willing to trade that minivan for something smaller which also turned out to be an upgrade. No issues at all. They were both so kind about everything and made every call or up front interaction seamless. All the cars to rent were spotless inside and out! The location has plenty of parking for your vehicle or theirs. I couldn't speak higher of this place. I will always rent here when my needs come up and I highly recommend you do too. read more

Had to get a car due to a small wreck so our car could get repairs. Very busy location when I arrived but I sure could not tell when I called. The staff did not rush me and they totally listened. It was great. Old school customer service. Coolest part I observed was that it doesn't seem to matter who you talk to they all seem to know answers to questions. I hated the thought of being stranded because of someone else's unfortunate driving issue ( my car was parked at the time it got hit) so I was very glad to get a rental just like my car. I would recommend them to anyone. They deserve a raise in my book.people are just not this trained in their jobs anymore it seems and this group cares..big relief for anyone that needs a rental. read more

I rented a car from this location and had no major issues. Just some confusion regarding the insurance for the car. I told the guy helping me i just wanted the basic insurance that he quoted me at 19.99/ per day. He handed me the agreement and pointed at 5 places to initial and then a signature. Of course I didn't really pay much attention to what I was initialing but no big deal right? Upon Returning the car, I was told the final bill was $100 more than what I was expecting. Then the person who was helping me explained I had signed up for additional coverages but his prices on the computer didn't match the prices that were printer on the agreement. I told him I didn't sign up for those, only the basic coverage and he was very helpful and removed the other charges. I really appreciated that he cared and acknowledged that the first person helping me messed up. I would rent from this location again but I will reserve/pay online since the online rates are cheaper than what I paid at the location. read more

The staff was courteous and efficient and when they got so busy with customers that they had no one available to drive me to my car. Martel went out of his way to get me an Uber and complete the commitment of driving me back to my vehicle. A first-class operation run by first class people makes for a successful business. I have been dealing with Enterprise Rent-A-Car for over 30 years. I used to travel 150 nights a year and would hunt for the Enterprise locations. Usually away from the airports, it would take me probably an hour longer to go through the process of renting a car with Enterprise than any other. But I enjoy the company and enjoy how they hire recent college graduates. But my dealing with the Vancouver/Hwy 99 location is excellent/horrible. When I checked in I had a terrific lady that I could tell loved her job. Gave me a great deal and sent me on my way. I called back the day after and told them that my car was still in the shop and could I have it for another day? The gentlemen on the other line looked up my account and said that would be perfect since we have a sufficient amount of a deposit. I said OK. This morning I had an additional charge put on my card with no knowledge to me. When I confronted the manager he said that when you sign the agreement you give us the right to charge your car for additional services...Why didn't you tell me that when I called in? If you did there would not been a problem. So after listening him putting the blame on me....he tries to charge me over 200 dollars for one day rental..."Well you didn't sign off on the coverage". The lady that checked me in was standing right there and pointed out where I signed off. So he immediately says no charge but does not apologize for the transaction. Now how long do I have to wait to get back my 300.00 deposit? In summary, I was not looking for a free rental. I am sure that is the way this manager gets rid of problems. It wasn't or never was about money. If it was I would go to a less expensive place. I needed that car today and now I have upset my plans. All I wanted was a rental to 2 days at the price that was quoted me. Instead I got a manager that cannot take ownership and admit that he screwed up. This is a horrible reflection on the company because of who they hire as managers. I do not hold Enterprise accountable for this because there is no way to train a person to use common sense when there is no common sense to be used. read more

Best group of people to rent a car from!!! I'm a senior needing a car for an 18 day trip. They helped me find the midsize SUV that fit my height (or lack there of). I'm 5' tall so needed one I could comfortably handle and have good visibility. The second one I drove was ideal. Left Wednesday for Phoenix, AZ. By that evening we reached Redding, CA only to learn that the André Rieu show at the Walking Stick Arena in Phoenix was cancelled due to the Coronavirus mandated closure. We left Redding the next morning - now headed back home to Vancouver, WA. So, we had the car Tues at noon thru Thurs at noon rather than the original 17 days, and the total charge was $79.00. No fuss, no muss. Both Adam and Jeff were polite, professional and entirely focused on our getting a safe comfortable car. I will rent from them again!! read more

I've had really good customer service from Enterprise from Machynlleth Wales to Enterprise Vancouver, WA. I came here and rented a subcompact car. There were some problems with it so on my next rental they offered me a free upgrade. Well, I would have been overjoyed just to have a compact, but because of logistical need, I ended up getting a huge Jeep--at the price of a subcompact!! It was amazing because my car blew up a week before I needed to move and I had no way to drive up to Tacoma and sign the lease on my apartment, so not only was I able to do that, but the Jeep allowed me to haul half of my boxes with me too. The staff here were friendly, polite, and caring to the nth degree, and they listened when I explained the problems I had with the first car they gave me. I'm really lucky they were here to bail me out of a bad situation. read more

Just to start off here, this experience was not the best when I went through enterprise on highway 99. My car was in the shop and I had just been told the repair would be a lot plus it would be out for a week. Moving forward my auto repair shop said they could provide a rental for the time which would be included in my quote. Being a little hesitant I didn't have a choice and this was my first experience getting a rental car. When I called enterprise the girl was a little rude and had an attitude with me because I wasn't informed of the security deposit. When I arrived the gentleman was very courteous but as soon as we looked at the cars he kept rambling on and on and I could barely understand what he was saying. He told me I had to pay the $50 security deposit and asked if I wanted to pay $38 for full coverage. NEVER SAID PER DAY. Plus, the car was pretty banged up to begin with and nothing was stated with any scratches, bumps, etc. (my fault to not address this I know). I agreed to the $38 and I got to drive the car for the next 4 days. When I returned it in good condition they told me there was a dent on the side. I treated that car with such care and they also told me since I had FULL COVERAGE not to worry but it would be $81 PER DAY. NEVER did the gentleman tell me I'd have to pay per day. I can admit this is my fault for not reading through the paperwork, looking over the car first, and asking thorough questions. My entire experience was awful and I felt like they were all very rude, not helpful and mocked the fact that I was so new to this entire experience. Just moving out on my own, paying off my car that was in the shop, and having to commute to work another way this was the last straw. I do understand the rules and their terms, obviously you really have to know what you're getting into. In my job I try to use empathy and understand where someone's coming from I DON'T expect a snobby immature person to tell me like it is. This place left a bad taste in my mouth. I was in a car accident and my insurance setup for me to pickup my car at this location. When they called I couldn't call them back. Eventually when I called them I asked if they could pick me up that evening (Thursday) and they said that they could pick me up Monday. I was in disbelief as I don't have a vehicle or how to get to work as public transportation starts later than I need to be at work. I managed to find a ride there. I tried calling again 3 times to see what I needed to bring and every single time I was on hold for a while, then there was a fax noise on the line and just hung up. As it was super close to their closing time I decided to go in. I made to this office in Hazel Dell before the office closed and because I didn't have the right papers I wasn't allowed to pick up the car. I asked if I could pickup at a different location that was open later and was provided with a lot of wrong information, wrong hours, etc and he didn't even bother to check their inventory as they were sold out. I have dealt with DMV employees and other government works that obviously didn't care about their job and I feel this job manage to take this horrible "I can't do anything for you" attitude even further. read more

I needed a rental car while caring for my mother as she was in an at home Hospice program transitioning to end of life. I could not say if I wanted the car for a week, a month or longer, and Rachel was both understanding and accommodating. She gave me the monthly rate, and said she would adjust the final bill when I did return the car. During the rental, I added two sons, one at a time, as they came to town to say good bye to their grandmomother. The car was almost brand new (2200 miles on a Toyota Corolla), and was the perfect vehicle for our needs. Rachel was outstanding, empathetic, and reasonable in response to every circumstance we presented. What I love about Enterprise - no airport fees, no added taxes, none of the extra expense associated with airport rentals. Broke down for 20 mins the Transmission in this car won't shift Properly. It was super scary driving. I had to drive it back from Spokane wa. I made a price line reservation for noon they allowed me to make it during hours they were closed. I had to drive to only open location and take a compact car to Spokane with 3 kids. That was the only car left they said bummer. read more

I had made a reservation almost a full week in advance. We had the pick up time scheduled for 9:00am. I received a phone call the morning of the reservation about an hour before the scheduled pick up time. I wasn't able to get to the phone but returned the call as requested to find out the office wasn't open yet. When I was finally able to get ahold of someone, about 30 min before the scheduled pick up time I was informed the car wouldn't be available until 10:00 am. This was a big inconvenience as we had plans and a schedule to keep. well the car wasn't there at 10:00 either. It didn't arrive until 10:15 and the fuel was almost on empty. When I told the representative he was late he responded with "well I'm here now!" The representative acted as if he was doing me a favor by making a note that we could drop the car off on empty. We finally got on the road after having to stop for gas. I called before drop off the next morning to question about keeping the vehicle an extra day but I was informed I would have to drop it off the following morning over an hour away. Beware, there isn't an enterprise location in St. Helens. They will meet you at an automotive shop to pick up and drop off. therefor the shop will not deal with any questions or concerns. I also dropped off the vehicle with a half a tank of gas and they will not credit. I will not use enterprise again based on This experience. read more

I had the worst experience, Enterprise Vancouver, WA. The guy at the front barely acknowledge me when I came in, then told me he would be there to help me in a few minutes. Which were 35mi!!! before I was even helped. Then when I was finally helped, he kept answering every phone call, making everyone even on the phone a priority before me. The the car had a flat tire, and had to wait for a car to be brought and washed. Everything else was done in a rush, not even allowing to fully check the car. I was on a tight schedule, just visiting from UT, and spent more than hour waiting for a car!! read more

Auto insurance arranged a rental while my vehicle was being repaired. I arrived at the storefront and the employees (one veteran and a new-hire "shadow") got the paperwork arranged and explained what was being covered and so forth. I was on the road within 20 minutes even though the insurance company had not provided a couple of key items and needed to be contacted. The car reserved for me was clean and in good condition. When my own car was ready I was given the option of either dropping the rental off and getting a ride to the body shop from an Enterprise employee, or leaving the rental at the body shop and they would pick it up later. So convenient. I chose to take their offer of a lift and could not have been happier. Customer service awesome all around. Would definitely rent here on my own if needed. read more

I travel a lot for work and I am a regular at Enterprise on Highway 99. I have not met a staff member there that I did not like or that did not deliver the best level of service possible. I made a reservation to be picked up at 3 from the auto body shop. When I called at 3:15pm to see where they were, they had no idea what I was talking about. Then I asked why I called and made a reservation and have a confirmation if they weren't going to pick me up. There was no validation. I work graveyard and had to do this during hours that I usually sleep so I'm pretty annoyed that this is now taking longer because these people can't keep things straight. Dope. read more

Enterprise is the WORST company I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. In fact we are still owed $80 they were supposed to return to us as the dealership was paying for the rental. First off they charged us the entire $250 for the deposit and actually removed it from our account for a 2 day rental. Nearly two weeks went by and I noticed the entire amount was gone. We called and they blamed the dealership. Well the dealership made it right and they STILL only refunded us part of it. It was supposed to have been returned to us within a "day or two" and it's been 4 now. This is just our rental experience.
