Exceptional Service at Canyon Road Enterprise - Zac and Team Went Above and Beyond…read more After my car was broken into and my purse and wallet stolen, I was already dealing with the trauma of feeling violated while navigating the exhausting process of replacing everything - closing bank accounts, getting a new driver's license, and filing police reports. When my car went to the shop, I reserved a rental through my insurance at the Highway 99 Enterprise location. I called ahead to explain my situation and that I only had a temporary paper license from the DMV. I offered to bring my passport and any other documentation needed. The Oregon DMV confirmed over the phone that my temporary license and supporting documents were sufficient for verification. I even went into the local DMV office in person to see if there was anything else I could do, but they assured me that what I had was completely valid and should be accepted. However, the manager at Highway 99 flatly refused, insisting I needed a physical license with my photo - something the DMV said would require starting the entire process over and paying additional expedited fees since they use a third party for processing and couldn't refund what I'd already paid. Throughout this interaction, the manager showed zero compassion, speaking to me coldly as if my situation was just an inconvenience to him. Even when I asked if my husband could rent the car for me, he incorrectly stated I couldn't drive it without a physical license (which my insurance confirmed was false - Oregon law allows me to drive any car I'm insured for with my temporary license). I left feeling defeated and violated all over again. Thankfully, a relative who works for Enterprise suggested I try another location. When I called Canyon Road in Beaverton, it was like night and day. The manager and Zac (who's in the management training program) were immediately sympathetic and accommodating. They found a way to verify my identity without bending any rules and got me into a rental car. They even came to my house for pickup to ensure I was completely taken care of during this difficult time. The contrast between locations was striking - where Highway 99's manager was cold and dismissive, the Canyon Road team showed genuine care and understanding. Zac and the manager (I wish I could remember his name!) turned one of my worst weeks into a moment where I felt heard and helped. I cannot recommend the Canyon Road Enterprise location highly enough. Then they called and asked why I was late and the lady was rude and she was acting like I personally offended her cause I was a few hours late! She seemed happy to punish me with their stupid late return fees and yet again, I was made me feel very uncomfortable and this time angry for her spiteful tone. AVOID AT ALL COSTS and go to a more reputable rental place as this joint will only add an extra hour you don't have to waste your time... The website showed a pic of a soccer van, which is what i wanted. When I got the email it said that I had rented a 12 passenger van. I contacted them and asked if I'd be able to downgrade for the same price and they said no. It never once mentions that the rental office and vans are NOT located at the airport. They sent a LYFT to come pick me up. The check in van pick up took 52 minutes?! WTH is the point of a reservation. I asked once again when I was there if they could rent something smaller for the same price and she said no. Then home girl Latonia tried scamming me like she did the foreign guy in front of me into getting the highest insurance, talking about my insurance wasn't enough. Sometimes I do meet owners though, especially during drop off because they're waiting to use their car when I get back; the couple times this has happened it has been a friendly experience with them asking me if there's anything they can provide in the car that would have been useful on my trip. I have had a couple bad experiences. One time I tried to rent a Tesla Model 3, but it turned out the owner was driving it and hadn't blocked out the time on the app. So Getaround automatically assigned me a similar price vehicle nearby. I wanted to drive an electric car, but they assigned me a gas powered BMW M3. While a great car, it wasn't what I was looking for. So I cancelled the trip and they refunded me the full amount. I have had to call customer service five times in a decade of using this service, and they've always be stellar.

We booked through Costco's travel website, (you have to be a Costco member to do so), I was able to find a good deal on a full-size vehicle. They gave us a new Kia K4 hybrid. Booking through Costco, they include a free additional driver. The line was really long, however they provide a QR code in which you can skip the line. Just scan the QR code, answer some questions, like your Alamo reservation number, credit card information, etc. As soon as we finished entering all the information, we got a confirmation and headed down to the lot where one of the employees greeted us and walked us to the section where we could pick one of the vehicles there and like I mentioned, we got a new Kia K4 hybrid. Drop-off was a breeze too, since Alamo's return area is right in the beginning of the renta-a-car place and you don't have to drive all the way in like the other car places. Alamo has made renting a vehicle simple so you can spend more time doing what you want to and not stand in line for hours. Seamless, fast, and highly recommended!
