Enterprise was a breath of fresh air after the SE Stark Hertz location dropped my car reservation with no explanation or apology (If you're considering the SE Stark Hertz for a rental, read about my experience on their Yelp page). A friendly and professional woman at the SE 82nd Enterprise location scrambled to find me a rental car in under 30 minutes. They had four different cars for me to choose from and I was in and out of the office in 10 minutes with a 2018 Nissan. I left feeling like Enterprise really went above and beyond. Do NOT go to this enterprise location. We called in the morning to arrange a rental through insurance and was given a confirmation code and $29 rate. We went into this location ready to pick up the car and a woman named Bridget and the assistant manager Jeff said they would not honor it. We were told they never received the reservation. So we called back again and confirmed the reservation and enterprise told us we were good to go a second time. We were told when we went back that they still would not fulfill it. Then we were accused of "scamming them" We didn't know what to do since we had just gotten our car totaled by a fallen tree and we were doing everything through insurance as we were supposed to. We ended up going to the Milwaukee enterprise location and they had zero problem finding our reservation and fulfilling it. Do not go to the 82nd enterprise location!!! read more

Chelsea has exceptional customer service. From picking up the car rental to over night return. The price the agreement said was the final price at the end of billing. I have used them a few times in the past. The car all are very well maintained. Haven't had to had road side assistance onto them on my long travels. read more

Worse than useless. My dad went in and reserved an SUV for our road trip to California back in august. He went in with confirmation in hand to pick it up on 10/8/21. There was a young woman who is the one who initially talked to him on the phone around 1:00 pm. When he went into the office it was around 1:30 or two. A young man is the one who helped him at the desk. While my dad was talking to the man who told him "I'm Sorry sir but we don't have the rental" the young woman, who seemed to be the one in charge, overheard their conversation and said, "You're not even allowed to have animals in our rentals." This seems to be contradictory to everything I've seen as far as pet policy. Everything online states pets in crates are fine. And honestly to lie to him after having given his rental away that he reserved over a month ago is just unbelievably unprofessional. No offer to help in any other way. We ended up having to cram everything, including 3 people, 2 dogs, and luggage into my moms Scion hatchback. We had to rush and get the oil changed, rotate tires and get the car ready for a long trip within a few hours. I get that accidents can happen, but this is absolutely ridiculous. read more

Never renting from "Enter-lies" again If I could give this place zero stars I would. Back in August my husband and I drove down to the enterprise office in Clackamas to reserve an SUV to take on a trip to Northern California in October. Yesterday he went to pick it up and was told, "We're sorry sir, we don't have your car." He showed them the confirmation that he had gotten from your office back in August. They apologized again and said they didn't have a car for him. He explained that we were leaving tomorrow morning with our daughter, two dogs and a ton of luggage. Overhearing their conversation, a woman came out from an office in the back and stated, "We don't even allow dogs in our cars." At that point my husband tore up the reservation and left. I Googled Enterprise, and it clearly states in several places that pets are welcome as long as they are in kennels. Long story short, here the 3 of us sit in my tiny Scion, with two dogs and so much luggage we can barely see out the windows, driving down I/5 to California. I realize with the labor shortage it's hard to find good help, and Enterprise just proved that to be true. Thanks for nothing Enterprise. read more

This is my favorite location from enterprise! Manager is very friendly and professional, they never give you that condescending tone when you decline all additional coverages or add ons. They put a sign in the car that said they followed 20 special cleaning steps because cleaning is important to them during Covid. The car was filthy. It appeared that they didn't clean at all. The car seats were very dirty. The car was dusty and had crumbs all over. There were dried Snots on the passenger seat. There was cat hair on the backseat. When I discussed my complaint with the manager her body language , Tone and response indicated that she didn't care at all about my experience. I would not recommend this location to anyone. I put in a complaint the same day with enterprise and they said that the regional manager would call me back and it's been almost a week and no one's called me. read more

We have been going to Enterprise for years. There have been many issues here & there but no manager has solved them as well as Angela T. Misa the Branch Rental Manager. The sign of an excellent manager is one willing to do the work of those under her. We spent 2 hours & delayed our trip a day waiting around for anything other than a GIANT American truck or van. Finally gave up & went to Angela almost in tears. She fixed it in 16.19 minutes. Yes, I was timing it all. Fabulous is not adequate to describe her approach & speed. She quickly fixed the issue & got us on our way to our 14th year anniversary trip. 1 hour, 53 minutes & 29 seconds was simply the time we spent inside the Tigard & Gladstone offices. Everyone was kind but not the best problem solvers. This almost 2 hours did not include the 53 minute drive home, the night & day we spent trying to find a replacement, the 45 minute drive to Gladstone, the lunch we took while Tory tried to find a car or the drive to Clackamas. Angela fixed the issue in no time AT ALL which also included her cleaning the car herself for us. NONE OF THIS WOULD HAVE HAPPENED HAD CLACKAMAS BEEN OPEN ON SUNDAY! At least for reservation pick up someone should be there who has been trained & worked for Angela. Customer service sucks these days because honestly customers kind of suck these days. However Angela has redeemed my faith in competence, compassion & courtesy. She's special, she's fantastic & enterprise should consider the customer service she provides as the standard. It would be selfish of me to want her to stay in Clackamas forever but she really won't because she's just too good. Either Enterprise will be smart & move her up in the company or she will outgrow them & Enterprise will suffer greatly. I am not kidding, I am taking 20 minutes from my vacation & dinner with my wife to write this. I have been going to Clackamas for 4 years now. I love this branch!! We rent from this branch at least once a month; though it is mostly for convenience, we are very happy to give them our business! My first experience with them came about when I was given a huge runaround by two other Enterprise branches last February. I called this branch without much hope and they answered all of my questions, calmed my hysteria, got me in a car without any hassle and with such short notice! Even though we are now on a first-name basis with most of the team here, I see them treat everyone with the same respect and enthusiasm. Even when I rent from an employee I've never met, they treat me as well as Danielle would. Have I mentioned yet how great she is?? We rented so often because we didn't have a car to get our big errands done for the month, but we just bought a new car last week and still came in to rent this past weekend. I have yet to have a rental from here go smoothly. From not having the car/type/size I reserved well in advance available, to scheduling a shuttle and having it not show up (how do they seriously never have it scheduled even when I called and scheduled and called back to confirm?) to getting really dirty (inside and out) cars. If I could give negative stars I would, but this forces me to give one star-which is more than inflated! This office is the epitome of horrendous. I had to rent a vehicle at the last minute. - I made my reservation on line, and requested a Standard size vehicle. When I get there, low and behold, they have NO CARS. - I end up with compact SUV (Jeep-something). My husband is 6' 3"- I am not quite sure what was expected to fit in this go kart of an SUV, but by the time we would get home, his knees would be indented from being squished into the front dash area - I also have two kids- one in a car seat and one who is 6f'.. a compact SUV just does not work- hence standard size vehicle rental. - But this location does not offer to go get another car that is better suited and pretty much, i am stuck with this compactor. By Sunday, we realize that we will have to extend our rental for another week, however , Clackamas location is not open on Sunday. So, we go to a location that is open on Sunday. The gentleman , Josh at that location was very pleasant, accommodating. He could clearly see we were unhappy and uncomfortable with the current situation. Within 10 minutes, we were in a vehicle that fit all of us - and any extras. ---NOW, At this point i am under the impression that my contract has moved to the second location we visited. - Now on week 4, we still have not received our car back from the shop- so i call the second location on 7/12/17 to renew my lease again. I have renewed my lease every Wednesday, with the second location and i have never been told I need to go into or call the Clackamas to renew my lease/rental. Low and behold i get a call from "Alena" (not sure of the spelling) at the Clackamas store today- she tells me that i need to renew my deposit on the vehicle., and that i have some outrageous balance due. When i tell her what i was told at location B, and that as of Wednesday i had a deposit already sitting on my credit card and i will pay my one weeks balance when i return the vehicle - all of the sudden she can see some of these things but in the next sentence tells me i still owe some astronomical amount. Everything was a contradiction - nothing was consistent and then speaks to me as if I am an idiot. I am telling you what is on your computer screen and when you go looking for it - you somehow find some things i am telling you but not others- I am not clear if the training within their systems is just with her, or with the company as a whole. I am not sure what value add there was in her telling me that she does the back office work for the location, because for me, at this point, it seems you would put someone in the back office who has no customer service skills. But even more awkward is what back office does Clackamas have with me, i have not associated myself to that store in over 3 weeks. In addition to this, she tells me that I have to get into the store right now to renew this deposit. - BTW, just like you I am at work, and unlike you i took care of this on Wednesday at the other location. So considering this Enterprise employee feels like she can talk to customers like they are less than, ignorant or unworthy of respect, i would encourage the communication within the company to be stronger. As long as Enterprise has been in business, the ability to have notes on a customers file about any relevant issue, special need/accommodations, mishaps would help the next agent out, and most likely your business. I rent many vehicles a year, - for business travel, personal travel, quick beach trips, mountain trips. or any other reason i feel necessary- there is no way i would return to this location. And based on how my visit goes to the second location, I will be back to all social media and all other pages that offer the ability to review. I would rather pay the extra buck to be valued as a customer instead of "going the extra mile" to be treated so incredibly disrespectful . read more

This location their team spirit is wonderful and understanding what customer needed right away. We got disappointed in the Woodstock location and decided to try the Clackamas store. Which turn out everything works wonderful and Tiffany is a very smart young lady knows how to help us totally. They are reliable understandable and U can trust them right away without been take advantage. We are blessed to return the car on the Halloween morning and have these Star War photos with the whole team. I really think they deserve the greatest business with their wonderful performance. I had a horrific accident and just a total mess involving being stranded injured for hours and one thing after another. Accidents are a nightmare enough but I went through even more bs making it even worse. Mason at this location was my saving grace. When she called to let me know that she was going to bring my rental car over to the auto body shop I was getting towed to and meet me, I asked what she was bringing for me. She asked what I would like since my coverage was actually quite good through insurance. I had no idea - honestly I avoid renting cars as I always saw rentals as crap - most of the cars they seem to offer are not something I would ever own and have no desire to drive. I am pretty snotty about cars I drive so I really was not expecting much and aiming very low. As it was, I was thinking, "Oh great...my car is completely screwed so I am now stuck for weeks driving whatever soccer mom POS van they are going to stick me with....". So Mason says, "How about I surprise you..." Ok sure, what the hell. Then I hang up and think oh what have I done... but I sort of forget about it and deal with calling all the places and such waiting for my tow. I get the auto body shop hours later after dealing with more nightmare. After signing for my car etc I meet with Mason to give her my ID and do the whole deposit thing etc when she takes me out to see what she brought and I nearly fainted...hello Dodge Challenger jet black...oh hells yes.... A gentleman had just returned it that day after specifically requesting it for his birthday. There are far worse cars to drive for a few weeks...and this is one fun beast. I am going to get very spoiled with the whole keyless thing. Did I mention that their office keeps calling me just to check in, make sure I am ok, have any questions etc? I have rented from Enterprise multiple times and typically had no issues. However, this time was different. First, we paid $500 to rent an SUV for the weekend - all we had was one request and that was the type of vehicle. I stated this request at booking and called the month of the reservation and the week of, didnt seem to be an issue. I showed up and had two options, a gas guzzler or a smaller SUV. Not happy but took the smaller SUV because we were hitting the road and didnt have a choice. But the worst part of this experience was that we attempted to return the car on new years day and the lot was full, there was no where to safely park the car. I called the 1-800 number and have never been treated so rude. I explained there was no where to park the car and she kept saying well if you cant park the car there then you will be responsible for paying for another day. I asked if I could drive it to another location and all I got was that is not an option based on my contract. So rude!!!! So I had to take the car home and get up and drop it off the following morning. Sure, I could have left it on a side street near the building but if anything happened it would have been on me. If it would have gotten towed, it would have been on me. It was a hassle and I was treated terribly. I WILL NEVER RENT FROM THEM AGAIN! read more

I needed a car to drive up to Seattle with my buddy who's a kickboxer for a fight. It was beyond AWESOME! The car, I meant. 2017 Toyota Corolla and it was nice. Had a dickens of a time trying to figure how to connect the bluetooth but that was completely user error. Seriously if an old fart like me and a young buck like my buddy couldn't figure it out . . . well, we did and it was a sweet addition. Great gas mileage, and even though our agent who helped us get the car told me 'cause of my patience waiting to pick up the car (it was a half hour past the time we scheduled) to not worry about filling up the tank, I did anyway. We had to wait, no biggee, we had all day to get to our destination and we weren't late - not even remotely. It was a great trip and we had an awesome time. I found a great rate for a large SUV. I booked well in advance, but felt a little disappointed that I didn't receive a reminder. So, I called the night before to ensure they had my reservation. Thankfully the agent said they had my reservation, but that there were a large number of reservations for the same time. She asked if I wanted to arrive before the rush, which helped me avoid a big delay. The only other complaint is that the outside of the car had watermarks all over the car, but we were driving a long ways and I was not concerned. The return was fast and easy. read more

Wow. That's all I can say. I had a small snafoo months ago here, which can happen with any business, and they were very attentive and accommodating and made it right immediately. They also made me feel good about having rented here. They were very motivated to have customer's have a great experience, and I did. What's even better, though, is that months later, I called Danny, the manager, with a request to help with another Enterprise rental in another state. Each of these locations is an independent location, but she went wayyy above and beyond in helping me get the best rental and rate possible, and she even made the reservation for me! This is far beyond what most businesses would do, in my opinion. Danny and her staff have been superb in service and response times. I would recommend anyone to rent here! Last tip: I believe the Portland/Multnomah County, which is pushing alternative transportation on everyone, has a huge tax on car rentals. If you rent here, you'll avoid that daily tax that they impose on car renters. read more

Absolutely HORRIBLE experience!!! Our car was hit leaving us in need of a rental. When the employees learned that we would not be using a major credit card to rent their vehicle they became very uninterested in taking care of us. We had to go to another business to get a $250 cashier check because apparently cash is not acceptable as payment. They treated us as though we were criminals because we choose not to use credit cards. We were told that when the $250 deposit needed to be renewed we would get a call. Well they called us several days after the deposit needed renewing stating we had to give them $300 or return the car that night (it was 5:45 when they called; they close at 6:00). They went on to say that they really want it back because they were concerned about the car since we chose not to buy their insurance and that if anything was wrong with the car that we would have to pay for it. So we chose to return the car since we felt they were being very rude and that is when they told us even though we were returning the car we owed them an additional $200. I'm sorry Enterprise; you are wrong. You failed to follow through with a phone call as promised to let us know when our deposit expired. I will not rent from Enterprise ever again and I will tell everybody I know about the very shady dealings with this particular branch. read more

It was crazy busy in the waiting area and she made light of the awkward silence. :) she also encountered a very difficult customer, she showed the utmost professionalism despite his odd approach. My wife and I cannot say enough good things about the wonderful crew at this Enterprise location. We were in Oregon on business, after being in California and then having to attend to a loss of a friend's child. We had to exchange one rental vehicle for another and it wasn't a simple transaction. I called enterprise to pick me up to get my rental, I was told am out of their zone (4 miles away), but last time when I called to get pick up, the rep. Said yes, but no body showed up to get me, the rep. From se 82nd store end up picking me up. So, i took a bus there, i was a little late, had to wait for my car. But the representative are very nice, twice I had issue with this location and never have issue any other locations, I think they just don't have enough personal to handle the work load at this location. My pick up was great and the first car I got the breaks were squeaking so I was able to come and exchange and that was great. My problem was when I dropped off and encountered another enterprise employee and this liar said she smelled marijuana in the car. I have never smoked in my life and don't even smoke cigarettes. She stated because smoke was in the car she needed to "bomb" it and try to charge me more money. I looked this up and found a lot of enterprise places try to do this so you can be charged for the detail. Never fall for this. Even though the guy I first encountered was great I will never go back.
