We rented a vehicle from Miami Airport on Tuesday evening with a scheduled return the following day (Wednesday) to your South Vero Beach (US1) location. The vehicle was returned exactly as instructed. The keys were handed directly to an employee behind the counter, and we confirmed that the fuel tank had been filled prior to drop-off. The following morning, we received an unexpected call from a Miami location inquiring about the vehicle's whereabouts, as it had not been checked back into the system by the Vero Beach branch. This oversight caused immediate concern, as we had properly returned the vehicle. Upon contacting the South Vero Beach location, the manager on duty acknowledged the error and confirmed that the vehicle was physically present on their lot. We were assured that the issue would be corrected promptly. However, despite this assurance, we were subsequently charged for two days instead of the one-day rental period. This duplicate billing is both inaccurate and unacceptable. This situation reflects a serious lapse in standard operating procedures. Properly checking in returned vehicles is a fundamental responsibility, and the failure to do so resulted in unnecessary stress, wasted time, and incorrect charges. I respectfully request the following: Immediate correction of the billing error and issuance of a full refund for the overcharge Written confirmation that this matter has been resolved A review of internal procedures at this location to prevent similar issues for other customers read more

They give you a car that says "CHECK THE REAR SEAT" and doesn't start. the customer "service" agent solution was that sometimes hybrid cars start and you can't tell they started. I asked him again how to turn off that "useless feature" he said it couldn't be turned off. a simple google search shows that it can't be turned off but the key they gave me doesn't have permission to do it. I asked for a manager the useless agent said he was the manager, I asked for a different car, he said he didn't have any other cars. stay as far away from this place as you possibly can unless you can wait 5 minutes to start your car every time you are going somewhere read more

I am a high volume, long-time customer, over 100 days a year, because of excellent, courteous service. So, I was all the more surprised by a major disappointment at the location on US1 in Vero Beach. I had reserved car and the night before I confirmed by telephone with Enterprise customer service. The next morning, I called the local office 30 minutes before pickup. I was told my reservation would not be honored as there were no cars. WHen I asked why no one texted me to avoid an unnecessary trip to the location, agent said "We're very busy." When I asked how that could be agent replied "We can book 150% of capacity." When I asked about alternative agent replied, "We will call the instant a car is available." I then spent over $50 on an Uber due to lack of car. What's most disappointing is that the branch manager did not answer my email detailing this mistreatment nor did the regional manager when I elevated the matter, nor did "Care" email for customer service. In other words, no one gave a damn about a very good, loyal customer. Fortunately, when I contacted the branch manager at the 20th street location, she was polite and responsive. So... I get a car. It had a rear tire that went almost flat so I brought it back and they simply put air in it and sent me on my way. The next day it went almost flat again so I go back and they try to give me a smaller car which i refused to take as it did not have room for all my stuff. The gave me a dented up car. I drove it off the lot and took it for the day. the car reeked of cigarette smoke and again two of the tires had less than 30 lbs of air so I brought it back and asked for another one as it stunk so bad. So they gove me another and tell me that i can feel free to bring it back empty. I get in and drive it off the lot when it starts beeping that a tire is low on air. i look at the gas gauge and it's on empty which is why they told me I can bring it back empty. So I go back to the vero enterprise and i ask gene to add some air as it only has 30 lbs in one tire. He gave me such a hard time aboit it that it was an embarrassment to them. He tells me that that arent responsible for the air tire pressure. i tell him that it's a safety issue and he (under his breath) call me a f'ing a'hole. Whem i call him out on it he says he just laughing. I''m like... at what? he says he's laughing about me and my worrying about tire pressure. Really? They wanted me to drive this car (and the others) with flat or low air pressure tire(s) and they tell me that they are not concerned about customer safety!! Then, when i asked for the owner or supervisors number, he found it funny to tell me the ceo of enterprise name. If you care about your own or your families safety I would suggest going somewhere else other then Enterprise!!!!!! read more

When I rent a vehicle it is usually from Enterprise. They always have good customer service. I reserved a vehicle from this location and they had one vehicle left in that category. They couldn't rent it because of safety issues and I am glad they made that decision. My problem was no one called me to let me know that I wouldn't be able to get a vehicle in that category. They offered me a vehicle in a lower category at a reduced rate or I could get an upgraded vehicle for more money. I needed a vehicle and it wasn't my fault they ran out of vehicles in the category I had reserved. Why should I have to pay extra? So I ended up not getting a vehicle. Have a great contact at Enterprise who was able to make our most recent reservation and that helped a lot around the Thanksgiving rush. I provided the details and we were all set. Picked up rental vehicle this morning 01/06 and the gentleman helping us was great however, the female who rented out a Toyota at around 11am apparently doesn't like white people and didn't like working on a Sunday? Drove through the parking lot very aggressively splashing me when she went through a mud puddle. Then had the audacity to give me dirty looks when she was standing with another customer waiting for me to say something to her! ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING BEHAVIOR and from all the extremely low ratings at this location this needs to be fixed! I've rented quite frequently at enterprise and my company will not be using this company again if you want to retain embarrassing employees as this... keep her out back washing cars if she can't deal with people !!! I contacted Enterprise again 3 days ago as they requested in their reply. Of course, their reply did not include an apology. I never heard back from them again nor did they issue a refund (as they had promised to do) for the many days of rental during which we were not provided with an SUV, which was our only reason for upgrading the rental. As such, today, I have updated my 2-star review to a 1-star review. It is noteworthy, that the only time I ever received a telephone call from Enterprise following the conclusion of the rental process was when they called me to ask for a positive online review. read more

I was in a car accident last week and needed to rent a car. I made the reservation with Enterprise and I asked them if they were still providing pick up and I was told they were. The day of my rental Mike called at 2:50 to see if I was still coming to pick up the car at 3:30. I said yes I am waiting for my pickup. He assured me they were on the way. Called 2 more times and was told the exact same thing, they are in the way. Well they never came and 5pm rolled around and they were closed. I called the 1-800 number to tell them what happened and to cx the reservation, and they stated they don't provide pick up service because of Covid. Ummm why didn't Mike tell me that instead of telling me someone was in the way? I missed a Drs appt because of them so I called Hertz and got a car first thing the next morning. read more

Wow, stay away, I travel a lot and have never had such bad service, these guys and girls are absolutely p**s poor, the operator of this branch should be embarrassed for himself, this business is such a joke. To start, we called in advance to ask if they had an SUV on the lot before we drove the 20 minutes there, the girl said yes, so we headed down. Upon arriving, there was a big line, but that wasn't the problem, they didn't have the car they told us we would have, the girl behind the desk said "oh, you talked to the call center, they don't know what we have..." As if that's my problem as a customer to figure out? I don't run the business, you do, so don't try and shift the blame onto something else, just fix the problem. We were told we had to wait, which we did, about 30 minutes for a car to be ready, we never got the SUV we had told would be there for us so they had us in a mid-size Hyundai after we had to wait for what seemed like a nonsense excuse that they said was a "safety check", I've rented cars for almost 20 years and never heard of that once, and even if you do, do you really want to do that in the middle of the day for all vehicles during this supposed "rush" that you keep b**********g people? Another big problem, is that the girl behind the desk, kept saying "oh sorry, its a bit of a rush today". The "rush" isn't the problem, the problem is that you're telling people you have things in stock and available for them when you actually don't, then you get there, have to wait, and get put in the wrong car, and then that piles up when I'm not the only one, the other several people in there all got there and had the same issue as I, you're told something is there, you get there, and it isn't, that line just keeps growing that you for a problem you caused. Honestly, I'm very patient, very understanding, travel frequently, and the reason I'm so infuriated is that this isn't just a "little bit of a rush" on that day, I pulled the Yelp reviews in this exact location, and everyone complains of the same story, 1 week back, 2 weeks back, 1 month back, 2 months back, 5 months back, read the reviews yourself, literally, everyone says almost the exact same thing along the lines of "we were told they had someting and didn't", or "we got there and they kept us waiting." If the waiting was for valid reason, I'd understand, but don't tell me a story as if something just accidentally happened to me, only to overhear everyone before me, and after me, have the same problem and literally get told the exact same story. Bottom line, stay away from this location because you'll have nothing but problems, absolute poor service and an embarrassment to not just Enterprise but any business owner. read more

I had to call the number on my reservation and spoke to Viviana on the phone while standing outside to find out they didn't have anything to give me. Horrible experience!! Do No Rent a Car from this location!!! This was one of the worse customer service experiences I've ever dealt with at a Car Rental location. The place is filthy to start of with,.. walked in to get my car,.. waited 30 minutes past when I was supposed to get it and walked out. They did not seem to care and I couldn't believe the NEGATIVE attitude of their reps. There was a Rep on a phone yelling at a customer when we first walked in,.. I should have known at that point to just walk away and it just got worse. I will NEVER step back into that location. And if you need a car,.. there is an Avis across the street who is very nice, professional, clean cars and lobby,.. and treat you like you expect. AND if you have to rent from Enterprise, go 20 minutes south to the Fort Pierce location,.. they rent cars cheaper than Vero Beach and are more professional. I've dealt with them too many times and never will again .... Avis on 1006 21st Street, US-1, Vero Beach, FL 32960 (772) 567-3327 has way better service , easy to get a cars with a debit card and there cars are clean and nicer and what you reserve is what you get always , Vero beach enterprise cars are very dirty , you honestly need Lysol before getting into them . I called the office and waited on hold for six minutes before the call was dropped. I called again and waited three minutes with no answer. I was arranging a lyft ride to "pick me up" so I could get to the Enterprise office when one of the repair shop workers was on the phone with the Enterprise office and handed me the phone. I went off on them, letting them know that if you are in business, you pick up the phone. During the course of my fury, I let out one, count 'em, one expletive, to which I followed with "excuse me." I got off the phone. Lyft's app didn't work on Uber required a mask, so I walked the 1.5 miles to the Enterprise office. I was going get the car, the name of the manager (Abigail) and go, no drama. The girl at the counter asked if there was an issue when I took the manager's card. I reluctantly told I had called but no one picked up the phone. She said they only have two people. I said "Not my problem." I was supposed to accept her excuse. At this point, she was the one who got mad and asked if I had used an expletive while on the phone. I said yes, and she refused me service. I walked 2 miles, after being told by a national number that Avis had plenty of cars. They had no cars. I was able to get a mask and Ubered home. The regional manager, Bevans, was able to retrieve the situation, so I give it two stars instead of just one. read more

Worst car rental location I've ever used. If I could give it zero stars if I would. We arrived to pick up our rental today and was told that they wouldn't honor our reservation through Expedia. We always use Expedia without difficulty. The lady before us also had a reservation and they didn't have the type of vehicle she had rented either. They weren't even apologetic about it. Fortunately, Budget across the street was more than happy to accommodate us with a better vehicle than we had reserved at Enterprise and for almost the same price. Enjoyed waiting 30mins in line to find out the person who had rented our convertible(only convertible in their possession) has not returned it and won't answer their phone. I understand that it's only on reserve for us but when do you draw a line with these ignorant customers? We have always rented from enterprise and NEVER had a problem with our car being available. My family and I travel a great deal and generally preferto choose Enterprise for car rentals because they are almost always efficient and pleasant. Unfortunately, my experience in Vero Beach has been a sad exception. I went in person to the office and arranged to be picked up at an auto service shop where I was dropping off my car. I was told their driver would meet me there in 15 or 20 minutes. I arrived there and waited over a half hour. No driver and no phone call explaining the delay. At that point I called their office and was told they would send someone else right away. After yet another half hour I called again and was told the driver had come to the location and could not see me there. There were only 3 cars in the lot and I was the only person there. Again, they made no effort to call me. At that point I told them to cancel the whole thing and I would just go with one of their more competent competitors. read more

Called in to rent a car, was told to go over and pick it up... got there and they told me they didn't have any availability and the people on the enterprise phone number don't have any visibility into what they actually have on the lot. This seems like a pretty broken system to me, and I'm out $40 for two Uber's back and forth. Make sure you call the store and they actually confirm they have cars - and be explicit about asking - they made no mention of any issues when I got there, even though they had my information. read more

If I could give this place less then 1 star I would. This is the WORST business I have ever been to! First, we arrive just after our reservation and they gave our car away! Then told us they did not have any other rental cars and they were closing. The employees were rude, told us if only we rented directly from Enterprise instead of going to Costco maybe they would have saved us a car. The team that works at enterprise is amazing they all multitask as best as they can. The system of how everything is ran is Terrible and I blame that on enterprise. They should have a faster system to help there customers get in either to drop off or to check in quicker. Nobody's wants to go into a rental car place and sit there for over an hour. I previously wrote a review with 4 stars...that's been taken down to 1 star. I booked a 7 passenger Premium SUV several weeks ago. I called yesterday to arrange a pick up and to confirm my reservation. I arrived to Enterprise to find out that they didn't have a Premium SUV, they didn't have any SUV to accommodate 7 passengers which is what I needed and reserved. They said they could only give me a mini van or a 15 passenger vehicle. I asked what happened to my reservation and was told someone extended their reservation. Then why not call me to make alternate arrangements??? What kind of customer service is this? Totally unacceptable. I had to go to another company and pay more now to get what I should have gotten originally. read more
