We have nothing but great things to say about the associates working in the Wythville, VA Enterprise. They literally helped to save our vacation. 10 star establishment !! Wythville VA! The fact they were open Saturday morning was really what helped and they also went way above and beyond & let us store our bicycles in their back room for 2 weeks while we went on to Florida (from Ohio)! It was disappointing to see my hometown, Wadsworth, OH branch isn't open on Saturdays, but now after doing business with them, we wonder why they are open at all!‍ We rented the car in Wythville after the motor went out on the Hyundai (Hyundai has been great & is covering most of our rental in addition to the motor). The nice new Ford Explorer had temp tags on it. We paid the $150 drop fee to drop it in Wadsworth after vacation. We had it reserved for the month but had to turn it over because of temp tags expiring Sat. 7/20. I went to Wadsworth on 7/16 & was told to come back Friday, 19th, when they'd have more selection. I come Friday & there's a sign on the locked door, they're out fetching cars, call a phone #. No one is answering the #. There's 2 or 3 customers hanging around calling it. I go home and go back again hoping they are there. (If I call the office, no one answers and that was evident yesterday when I was there, it was ringing off the hook). I get back to the office to a crowd of people. I feel a little sorry for them working there, for as hectic as their job seemed, but also wondering who the manager is, as I've been in management all my life. 1st customer, they don't have his Mini Van & they're trying to figure out what he can settle for. Again. I felt bad and said " just give me whatever isn't moving & get me under $40 (Hyundai is reimbursing to that). He came up with a dinged up 2 yr old, 55k miles, Toyota Corolla that appeared a dog had chewed on the council and clawed the doors. There were mars on the trunk and a significant scratch on the passenger side. I asked him to do a walk around and was made to feel like it was a nuisance. Nothing was notated that I pointed out. (Wytheville, VA not only insisted on a walk around but told me what they'd tolerate so I had no fear of something little happening. ) I'm told contract is adjusted, I'm paying under $40, I'm to come back at end of month for a new contract. We go back this past Wednesday, July 31st to close up the $1684 contract includ. paid drop fee, & make a new one for the Corolla, pick up wadsworth, drop off wadsworth. I get home, looking at their bill & online in my enterprise & I see almost $43/day & a $150 drop fee ! The car description is SUV ! WE go back up to the place Thurs, 8/1, to explain all this and get this contract fixed. He makes another contract and gives an $85 credit to get under $40/day(added to the deposit) & sends us out the door, doing nothing about the drop fee ! I walk back in & tell him the fee is included in the $850 and I'm not paying it. He denies it's there, says it's an "optional fee & that I'm not being charged. Drop fees are NOT OPTIONAL. AND my husband and I and my daughter in law math teacher can do the math in our head and see it's part of this 850 ! We can see the drop fee listed!! It's NOT OPTIONAL. I'm picking up my $612 SUV from Budget in the next town tonight. Wytheville Enterprise was so great! I know this is a wadsworth, Ohio, 44281 thing and Enterprise in no way would want to represent this place. When I went looking for another car last night, the Enterprise in the next town was for sure skipped over. This was an awful awful experience that left me feeling horrible, numb, crying, in shock as I sat at home with my daughter in law who picked us up, with no car. The man there wouldn't even add the columns. I got so frustrated. But I got the contract ripped up ! Rather bizarre, he wouldn't even OPEN HIS EYES AND MIND TO ADDING THE NUMBERS. Optional drop fee? I stood adding them on paper and shaking it at him to look at it ! Another customer , she's a police dispatcher, she deals with the likes of me every day ?? & she is attempting to kick me out !! He finally said he'd rip up the contract if I'd become stranded there and hand over the car keys! I called my daughter in law. I got my keys out. I said I wanted her to come in and see this contract. He told me if I left with the car then, that it would be reported stolen ! I recorded him telling me my contact had been wiped out. I left. I will never again step foot in that establishment ! I will be sure to spread the word of how unaccomodating they are and how horribly they can mess things up ! My old contract thru 7/31 was never adjusted from the time I turned over the SUV and he said it would be under $40. The contact reads that I had a Ford Explorer for the entire month. I had it until the 19. It appeared there was no record of us having the Toyota until the new contract & it's listed as SUV ............photos not loading read more
