March 12, 2026 I booked a vehicle via phone with someone who was not connected to the Waltham Enterprise. When I called the morning of the reservation to see if someone could pick me up, I was told that I was scheduled to pick up my rental at 1:30 which I said I needed in the morning. I had a medical appointment in Jamaica Plain that I needed to keep at 11:00. Gustavo and others scrambled and went the extra mile to get the vehicle ready for me along with helping the other people who came to pick their vehicles that morning. I have rented from this place several times for work and have not had any issues before. Recently booked a vehicle and they waited till 5 pm the day before my rental, when most other rental places are closed to let me know they have sold out of all vehicles on the lot. Very classy of them to call me the day before my reservation. Update: Was told to contact customer support Their response: "We are sorry for any inconvenience this caused. I will forward this feedback over to upper management to help us improve on our customer's rental experience." read more

DO NOT RENT CARS HERE. THEY LIE AND CHEAT. Tyler upsold me very cleverly the optional, extra Collision Damage Waiver insurance by telling me 2 big lies. My reservation was booked through my GEICO insurance, which sends this Enterprise location a lot of business. My car had been in an accident and GEICO booked a car for me at this location while my car was being fixed nearby. The folks at Enterprise know Geico policies inside and out, given that they get at least a dozen GEICO customers per day whose cars undergo repairs. DO NOT RENT HERE THEY LIE AND CHEAT 1) Tyler said if I buy the extra insurance and then change my mind, I can call and cancel it anytime. I called the next day to cancel, he said on the phone that I actually had to take the car back to their station, before they would cancel the extra insurance. He had never disclosed that to me that I could not cancel the extra coverage by calling them and had to take the car there in person. DO NOT RENT HERE THEY LIE AND CHEAT 2) Tyler claimed that if I get into an accident with their rental car, though my GEICO coverage would cover the damage, it would require me to pay for another deductible on top of the first deductible that I was paying to get my own car fixed. I later checked with GEICO and GEICO confirmed that was a deceitful tactic that some rental car agencies verbally tell the customer to pressure them into buying the extra coverage. GEICO told me when they book a rental car for the customer while the customer's car undergoes accident-related damage, GEICO waives any deductible if the rental car gets into an accident. I had a terrible start with my morning which ultimately led me to Enterprise on Moody Street in Waltham with a donut on my own car, desperate for a rental so that I could get to an important meeting 75 miles away. I'm not holding the employees accountable for the terrible way that Enterprise confirms reservations when cars aren't in stock, but I will hold the two employees I met at this location for being pretty unwelcoming and unpleasant when I was literally just trying to figure out why I had been told a car was there when it wasn't. Can't make a car appear out of thin air, you say? No way. Amazing. A $100/day car wasn't an option for me and I ended up leaving. I'm sure it helped that it was on a Monday, but I spoke with Harrison who said he would make sure I was taken care of and got me a rental the same day. Renting a vehicle from Enterprise in Waltham, Massachusetts, was a pleasant experience, and we could not have been happier with the results. Our local agent, Akim Sanni (Assistant Branch Manager), was very friendly and helpful. He assigned us a virtually new (just 1060 miles) Nissan Rogue that was perfect for our needs -- and at a reasonable price. The entire process, from pick-up to drop-off, was easy and even enjoyable. No problem at all we have a for you. When I went inside I was greeted by a friendly staff worker. She said I am sorry but we don't have any cars left But we do have a bigger suv that you can have for the same price $30 a day. Ok great. Returned the car back when my car was ready. This Enterprise on Moody Street in Waltham, MA literally saved my life after a horrific car accident; a woman t-boned me and totaled my car as I pulled into the hospital parking garage 2 days post-op after wrist surgery! They put me in a safe and fabulous car, didn't stress me out over paperwork, and basically provided me with a nice soft landing (in an SUV) after the Cosmic Pummeling I had taken! Let's start off this review by saying that this is for something that happened exactly one year ago, yesterday and today. I had just purchased my new Honda CR-V and needed a vehicle to transport my plates and get my paperwork done. Enterprise was so helpful when I had called them and inquired about rates, one-way trips, pickups, and such. Unfortunately I had fallen under the "under age 24" category and have to pay a premium in order to rent the car for a day. But, the gentleman I had spoken with had mentioned that since I was a Bentley employee, we actually had a corporate account and that they can waive that fee for me. Yay - be gone extra stupid non-sense fees! In addition, they had a pickup/drop off service at your house if you need it in order to get your rental car. Whoa wait a minute, this place actually put some thought into their business. Why would someone be renting a car, maybe 'cause they don't have one? Yehhhhh.... other rental companies I had called DID NOT have this service! Very friendly and courteous staff at the facility. Must agree with the other Yelper's on this one. I was recently involved in a hit and run accident and pretty upset when my car had to go in for over a week! My insurance company set me up with Enterprise on Moody Street, which just so happened to be across the street from me! My, so convenient. The nice bunch of young men were courteous and helpful. They were also very flexible with me and followed up on everything they promised they would. They took care of all my paperwork and dealt directly with my insurance company. They patiently explained to me, several times, how to start the Prius I'd been given. I called and visited several times during my need for a rental car and everyone was very informative and helpful. They also seemed to have the best rate around and a decent selection of cars. I would happily use them again if I needed a rental car, but hopefully if I do, it will be for a better reason! read more

If you can avoid this place, do so and save yourself the headache. I rented a car from here last week, and they deducted an extra $24 from my bank account for no reason at all. When I called to find out why, they offered me no explanation but led me on to believe I'd be compensated if I just stopped by with my bank statement. I totaled my car in Dec 2017, I got a rental from Enterprise, Waltham. Positives - They picked me up at home. Negatives - They sneaked an extra "total" insurance charge, which added up to $700+ by the time my car was fixed. - When I disputed the charge, they showed me the the signed sheet. Why would one get extra insurance on top of the coverage by my insurance company? - I filed a complain via website, to no avail. - I always used Enterprise when traveling for business. I had really good experience with this Enterprise. The people who work here are really courteous and helpful. Once they overcharged me by mistake, but they responded to my refund request immediately. They also offered me an upgrade. They also have longer opening hours than other rent car services in Waltham. Something to improve upon: 1. I hope they could offer carshare at Waltham. 2. I came in this morning with my grandma and we waited in the waiting area without anyone to greet us except someone at their desk just sitting there watching us wait. Then who ever was on the clock walks in asked my family if we were all together we said yes and then he said that we had to move to the waiting area rudely and my Spanish speaking grandmother clearly didn't understand him the first time so she was like "I want to rent a car" and rudely again like raised his voice and said that she had to move to the waiting room cause he couldn't do two things at once cause he was working with another person.. we don't mind waiting but the way he said it was super rude so we felt uncomfortable and left. Next time have the waiting sign where you want ppl to wait. When you walk in to the store it says wait here for assistance. I have been renting cars at several rental companies all over the United States since I was old enough to rent a car and my experience at the Waltham Enterprise is honestly the most incredible rental car experience I have EVER had - and I have had some really great experiences (especially at other Enterprise locations). When I got into an accident (lady: "there shouldn't be a traffic light there" doesn't make the accident go away), I chose Enterprise because it was close to where my car was towed. And boy, am i glad I did. I worked with Damien, who has to be one of the most genuinely nice guys I have ever met. He was really sweet and made the whole obnoxious process a breeze. The rest of the guys were really friendly too. Since there were no small cars on the lots, i was given a big-ass SUV (a Dodge Journey I think), but the next day Damien called me and I got switched to a P.T. Cruiser. So much better! Other than suggesting I buy a used car from them, Damien was not pushy or trying to convince me to get anything beyond what my insurance would pay for. Oh, and they really do pick you up! Customer Service is #1 here and a you will feel it. The gentleman, Luis, was about to offer me an SUV for "Full Size" price. That would've been a great help. But, when I said I really need a smaller vehicle, he found the Dodge Avenger which was like the Nissan Altima Full Size that they feature on the display at the counter. He had to find the keys. His associate came within 5 minutes after calling and found he was out on the road. All together I was ready in 30 minutes or less since I arrived at the Moody St location. Checking for scratches, fuel gauge, and everything else was done smoothly and timely fashion. I've come back 5-6 times over last 10 years, and they were kind and courteous the 1st time and the 6th time just as expected. Smiles and wheels. These people are con artists. I booked online for 9.99, arrived and was told that they can only give me something for double the price because they were out of stock. When I said that if their company sends me a confirmation, they should honor the contract, I was told that I can go and look for a better deal wherever I pleased. This place always gimmicks. The Enterprise office in downtown Waltham has a great staff, they brought the car to us at the hotel and we dropped it off our last night and walked back to our hotel (Crescent Suites in Waltham, great hotel!) The service seemed very good but one big flaw takes two stars away. The only car they had available was a Crown Vic which is apparently the luxury category. I was told I'd have to pay a dollar a day + tax over what the insurance company was covering. Well, it turns out the taxes are $5 a day?!?! Not only 6.25% but there are some other fees in there (I'm taking the guys word for it... still don't quite understand). Long story short I had to keep the car for a full month due to a mix-up getting my check and it added up to over $150 for what I expected to be a free rental. Nothing to lose sleep over in the scheme of things especially having it for an entire month, but definitely frustrating. I should have traded it in part way through the rental for a cheaper car to save the dough but thought it was just an extra $1 a day. I feel like they glossed over the extra tax. read more

I rented a Cadillac from this company and it truly was a luxury. The individuals working there were as professional as could be, specifically Alexa and Patrick they helped me get into a vehicle with no hassle and most importantly they were time efficient which made the process as a whole much smoother. I highly recommend using this company for your rentals, their vehicles are top of the line and so is their customer service. I've rented cars out of here a few times now and they have been nice to rent from. It seems like they have a smaller fleet than other locations which resulted in a car class changes. And the cars I get from them tend to have a dirty exterior or the check engine light on. The rates are usually among the lowest in town and they pick you up if needed, which has been quite useful when I've needed it. I will say the amount they charge for using their Fastpass toll collector is outrageous. I forget exactly but something like $17+ a day. The lower car categories can go into Canada. You need to be flexible in the car that they give you because they seem to have a lot of stock turnaround. read more

I have been renting from Enterprise for years but specifically wanted to take the time to write a review for this branch because of the positive experience and awesome service I received from the staff here. I rented a car from this location through the 9.99 weekend special during a trip to Boston a couple weeks ago, and they accommodated me even though I got to the location just around closing time (6pm). Due to not having a vehicle in their lot, Alexa drove me to a neighboring location after hours just to find me a vehicle to get settled into right away in order to honor the reservation I'd made online and offered it to me at the same price. I've been renting from Enterprise for several years now. No matter the occasion whether it's while on vacation , or needing a vechicle while my own personal one is being repaired. Within the past 2 weeks was my most recent rental from the Moody St location in Waltham MA. From the minute u walk in the door till u drive off the lot there customer service is A+. The crew at the Waltham Location is very friendly and great selection of Vechicles. There is never any hidden charges with enterprise what they quote you is what u pay. If you want to experience service that goes above and beyond, the next time you need a rental car, go to Enterprise, Waltham and ask for Ray. My Mercedes lease was up and I was having the fender fixed before I turned it in. I needed a rental for 3-5 days and Ray took such good care of me. When I called and told him I had all kinds of paperwork from the Insurance Company he told me not to worry that he would handle it all, just to bring it in. I asked if they had a Prius and he said there were none on the lot but he would get me one. He did. He offered to pick me/the car up from the Auto Body shop on both ends of the rental. I refused this because I had a ride but Ray called me on the return day anyway to offer again. This time I accepted his offer and he had his driver there on time with a quick and easy signing of papers. He asked how the rental worked out and I told him all was well but the washer fluid was empty (middle of New England winter) so he might want to fill it for the next customer, he apologized profusely and took $50.00! Enterprise is luck to have him as a manager. He knows how to delight his customers. All other staff I dealt with there were on top of things as well. This past Saturday I had the worst experience I ever had renting a car. I had reserved a mid-sized car earlier in the week with someone named Andrew. I told him I needed the car for a party Saturday night and a cookout Sunday, my car was in the shop. I also requested that I use a debit card instead of a credit card, which is something Enterprise does and involves them holding $300 off the card. Andrew told me that was fine except I had to rent the car for Monday also, since they were closed on Monday. He also requested that I get to the rental office no later that 11AM, since he was the only person working Saturday (labor day weekend). When I arrived there were five people in line and it took about 35 minutes before it was my turn. When Andrew got to me he ran the credit check they do with debit card use. Then he asked about my insurance, I showed him my policy, which I admit was not my current policy, since I had not received my current policy. He asked when was the last time I rented from Enterprise. I said every week last month, the same way. He said that unfortunately the records were disposed of every 2 weeks and he could not look it up. He then told me he would try to get me a car after he attended to every one else. I had no other place to try at that point, since it was then after noon on Saturday (labor day weekend). So, I sat down and began to wait. The line grew faster than he could accommodate customers. For every one he processed and put into a car, one or two more would show up. After waiting over 2 hours I gave up and walked out with no car. I cancelled all my plans for the weekend. I know that Enterprise has no regard for loyalty, since I have used them all my life, but I think this time I have finally had enough. read more
