    This review based on my experience guys. It's quite long but in short if you meet Suzanne DeGicco as an insurance agent just ESCAPE! She is typical sales lier. She is selling auto insurance policy and then she doesn't care... Before getting my policy I asked her if I cancel within 3 or 6 months should I pay any cancellation penalty she said NO. Now I was trying to cancel it over 4 days this company is a big JOKE! Finally when I cancelled first they send me final balance 0.59 refund and next day I got another final balance which says I have to pay over $423. I contacted even with the supervisor over the phone of AAA North East explaining the situation that your insurance agent provided me inaccurate information which cause the bill that I am getting of her fault. supervisor who was Jean Wilkinson is another "gem" talking with me ironically and disrespectful. Her response was " you as an adult had to check from another source". Guys I am shocked so it means your agents aren't trustworthy and providing wrong information. I am so disappointed! Worst experience I have ever faced 0 costumer service, inability problem solving!

    If renewing your license or getting a Real ID come during "off hours". I made the mistake along with everyone else with the same thought to come here on a Friday afternoon. There's a check in area where they examine the documents to ensure you have the proper documentation. They gave me an estimate of 45 minutes to an hour. The total time was a bit over an hour. I overheard that they also had some issues earlier in the day that caused a backup. The poor employees also said that they haven't had a moment to sit except during lunch. While they also offered other travel services and local discounts the majority of the people there were for auxiliary RMV services so we could avoid going to the one in Watertown. Thankfully they have a seating area after you check in to wait and even some charging cords if your phone is running low on juice. The service was fine and understandably they all were spread thin with the influx of people. I can only imagine what the Saturday morning crowd is like. There are other shops in the area so you could check in and potentially just come back here when it's closer to your spot in the line, which is what one of the mother's did while dragging her 2 daughters with her stopping by the next door Dunkin's. This is more of a 3.5/5 but I'm rounding up.

Not only they did not refund, their customer service is quite poor. They did not even try to reach out to us for the status of our inquiry nor do they prompt you to a live person when calling customer service. I had 2 appointments set back to back. Since we were 2 people. We were allowed in together. Ricardo made us feel at ease and made the actual appointment super easy. I knew exactly what I wanted for flights, times, airports, airplanes, etc. I'm only giving them 2 stars because they responded to me immediately. They just returned my email with flights, no introduction, no "hi, my name is", nothing. They just kept emailing one flight after another with zero attempt at any pleasantries or interaction. Each flight was crazy expensive or not what I asked for. I asked twice that they call me and provided my number, yet they continued to just email flights. Then, they just stopped all together. Lazy, cold, unprofessional, and ignorant. I found them on Google, that's how businesses are found by new potential customers. Let them cater to their regulars, obviously they don't care to earn new customers.

I think in our world of high tech, we all need services that have a personal touch. Look at the trends--companies like Stitchfix are thriving because people want to feel someone cares about them, knows them, and takes their interests, concerns, and personalities into account. (Stitchfix has stylists that learn about you and send you clothes, going after a niche market of busy women that don't want to spend time in stores. I haven't used Stitchfix so I can't recommend them personally, though I know people who have. What this points to is the trending of #Convenience. I ordered cardigans for my mom and I and it came with a beautiful handwritten note, heck even my new mattress from Casper came with a handwritten note "sleep deep." It is very nice but easy to do, but that is not building a relationship, it is a one time gesture from a cutesy marketing team. The difference behind Active Travels is the genuine caring and service tailored to you. They don't eschew technology, they blend it with their own knowledge and scores of travel writers and agents. When I went to Asheville last year, I got 10 pages from Steve about things to do and where to eat, and even to definitely order the squid ink pasta at Curate, and brunch at Biscuit Head and Sunny Point Cafe in West Asheville.This is part of why I use and recommend Active Travels, run by travel writer Steve Jermanok and his wife Lisa Leavitt who is an agent. Both are well traveled and have friends and contacts all over the globe, and better yet, they are locally based in Newton, but can be contacted from anywhere. Beyond convenience, I really feel people need more handholding than ever in these troubled times. We need to be cared for. A search engine may be efficient, but it doesn't care about you. Lisa & Steve will. Steve once joked to me that someone said to him "Why open a travel agency? You might as well become a cobbler." Well, I actually use my cobbler a lot--another local place to recommend--The Soleman in Waban, Ma. Read about them all on Yelp!

My longtime mechanic had retired, and I wasn't sure where to go next until I discovered D&G Auto Repair on Yelp! In August 2025, I brought my car in for brake service (pads and rotors replacement). From the very beginning, I felt I was in good hands. Paulo, the manager, responded to my Yelp inquiry almost immediately. He was professional, kind, and attentive. He listened carefully to my concerns and explained everything in a clear, respectful way, something I truly appreciate. I felt a strong sense of trust that he genuinely cared about my car and my safety. When I arrived at the shop, Paulo was just as professional and kind in person. He made me feel confident in my choice to use to D&G Auto Repair. After I left my car, he followed up via text with an estimated bill before starting any work, which gave me peace of mind and control over the process. The shop itself is small but clearly run by expert technicians, and the waiting room is clean and comfortable, a nice bonus! I returned yesterday with a question about a noise I'd heard. Tony, one of the technicians, came out and personally walked around my car with me. He pointed out how clean it looked and even asked about repairs I had done elsewhere. He gave me a mini lesson on body repair which was surprisingly enlightening. He then gave me directions to the nearest Auto Parts store and Car Wash. That kind of extra care is rare and so appreciated.
