Everyone was so kind that my wife and I both looked at each other in disbelief. We rent cars a lot, and it seems that horrible customer service is the norm, but not here. Mike and his daughter were friendly and accommodating, even the shuttle drivers to and from the airport were great! I don't think the negative experiences in the other reviews (I notice none of them are recent) were the fault of the agency, if the versions of the stories are even accurate. We booked through Orbitz and had ZERO issues, but I believe 3rd-party reservations limit what can be done at the counter. Still, we were told at pick-up that there was a 1-hr grace period for drop-off before it becomes another day of rental. For us, that would be an extra $55. We hoped the grace period would suffice, but ended up having to extend our reservation 2.5 hours beyond the grace period, knowing we'd have to eat the $55. At drop-off, I asked if there was anything they could do, and they were able to switch it to an hourly extension instead of a full day, so it was only $27 extra. So we strolled out of there with a renewed faith in humanity, and wonder if the bad reviews were actually for a different agency (I know that happens a lot).

Hertz here was as good an option as any others. The reason I went with Hertz is that I am a member of their rewards program so I had some points for a free rental day. Did all my reservations through the app. When I touched down and left the terminal it was easy to find the shuttle to the rental car facility. After exiting the shuttle I exited and saw my name on the board that I could choose any vehicle from the presents circle section. Not much variety. I chose the Buick because they had several, and the first one had some trash left inside. The second one was good to go. After picking it and loading my bad I check out at the exit gate. That's where showed my ID and received a cop of my rental agreement. Drop off went smoothly as well. Put in the drop off lane, they scanned the vehicle, then I was quickly on the shuttle to the airport.

This is a ridiculous procedure, if I didn't take video, someone would have been charged for the damage on this car, luckily, I covered my ass, but the next person may not. Very sad. For those flying in: after collecting your luggage, head outside ... there is an area that has steady shuttles coming to pick people up and bringing them to their rental company. It will say the company on the car (it's a part of Hertz so you can look for Hertz and Thrifty on the shuttle). I waited literally 5 seconds and was on the shuttle. Once you get off the shuttle, head inside to a counter. They will offer the following up charges: a few bucks more per day for a better vehicle, 2 insurance type offers, and to pay a flat rate so you can return the car no matter what the gas tank is at. I declined all of the offers personally and I just filled my gas tank up when I dropped it off. I also made sure to vacuum some sand out. I chose to take photo and video of my car before driving off. They give you a sheet to fill out if you see any major damages (I chose write even minor damages which were just some little scratches on the inside of the doors and normal little chipped paint - I take no chances lol). You will the drive to the exit and give the man at the gate your paper and he will hand you a copy. When dropping off, you will just pull up to returns. If you have a return flight, a staff member will drive you in the same car you rented and drop you off. This happened immediately (no wait at all). I took care of my car and was only charged my rate. No surprises. No hassles. Absolutely recommend Thrifty for your cat rental needs!

They are such a wonderful couple who recently took over this Avis/Budget location, and I cannot speak highly enough about their professionalism and customer service. The cars were clean, new, and ready to go. Best of all, you avoid the extra airport fees you'd pay if renting at the airport. If you've been here in the past, give this location another shot--the old owner is gone, and the new owners are absolutely fantastic! Highly recommend.

I picked up the SUV and upon getting home realized that the gas level was at 50% when the paperwork said it was 100% full. My home is less than 5 miles from the location. I immediately called and spoke to a Cecilia, who promised to fix the paperwork at her end, and all would be taken care of. As an aside, the car was in terrible order upon my pickup. The windows and mirrors were so dirty that I had to clean every single window, inside and out. Also, the window washer fluid was so empty that not a drop would come out- a real danger when driving. I went to Walmart and with my own money purchased and added washing fluid. When I returned the car, I mentioned to a different agent than Cecilia he conversation we had had, and advised that the gas tank was over 50% as we had agreed. The agent seemed pre-occupied and uninterested, but didn't mention that there would be an issue. Two hours later, I received the "E-Invoice" which included a $86.04 charge for fuel!! I am furious at this point, so I return to the store the next day only to be told I need to speak to the owner at a phone number posted on the store glass. I called, and luckily, the owner was on his way to store. He promised to fix the issue, but has not- when contacted again, the owner of this location gave a story about his medical issues, etc. Total unprofessional behavior and response to a 20 + year customer. Don't rent here unless you enjoy getting ripped off! Also, same issue reported by others so it's likely no accident it keeps occurring...
