Their staff is not very professional, both in appearance and personality. They are also very hard to get a hold of on the phone. However, the bigger issue is that their cars are usually dirty on the outside and not properly vacuumed. Their staff make terrible excuses about the condition of their vehicles every time and then expect you to wait back in line again when something is wrong and you have to come back. The other day, they gave me an extremely dirty car that had clearly not been washed and still had some personal items left behind from the previous driver. They made excuses for it and offered another vehicle, but all their other cars looked just as nasty on the outside. To make matters worse, when we dropped off the rental that evening, their staff failed to enter the correct time we dropped it off based on our paperwork. Instead, they waited until noon the next day to check the vehicle in and then charged us an extra day! Stay away!

I arrived early enough that there was no one at the counter, so I recorded my mileage and the state of the gas tank, took pictures of all angles of the rental car, and then dropped the keys in the key drop. Easy. A couple of hours later, Avis emailed me my receipt. And they neglected to charge me a one-way mileage fee, which is nice.

I've already reviewed this place on Google but I have to review here as a lot of people seem to…read moredislike this place. I rented here from June 2007-June 2010 as I was a nervous young adult moving out on his own for the first time, hours from home. Dealt directly with Paul who was very friendly, kind, and understanding. His father Bill was also a great guy to deal with. Paul showed me a unit but when he called the office to get the paperwork ready, it had been rented. No sweat - the downstairs apartment would be ready in two months so Paul set me up with a temporary (and furnished) townhouse for six weeks prior to my apartment being available. On move-in day for the townhouse, I got stuck in a traffic jam while driving down from Pittsburgh and was going to miss meeting the utility people, but Bill went above and beyond by being there and handling them for me while I was in traffic. While the townhouse needed some work (apparently the previous tenants skipped out on a lease and left a lot of damages) it was quite adequate for the six weeks I needed it. Hell, I was only charged for one bedroom for one month, so it was a great deal. Moving into my new place in August 2007 was a snap. Got my keys, and even Paul could detect how nervous I was being out on my own and helped point me to various activities and organizations in town to meet new people. I lived in two different apartments with Riner, one near EMU for two years and one in Bridgewater for my final year (before moving to Buena Vista). Anytime something went wrong, it was fixed within 24 hours. Washer quit on me - replaced the next morning. Water heater failed - replaced that evening. Dishwasher broke - replaced within an hour! I can't say any more good things about their property maintenance. As far as the deposit goes, most places don't typically like to give back deposits and I realized this in my years of renting. Their deductions were fair and while I didn't get all of my deposit back, I got most of it. You have to do your part. All in all, Paul and Bill were great to deal with and I highly recommend Riner Rentals for renting apartments.

We had a very disappointing experience with Riner Rental Management Company. We were required to…read morepay an application fee, submit extensive documentation, and wait for approval before moving forward. We contacted the property management on August 18th, and completed the application on the 18th and were told that we had to wait for the person who did application to return on the 20th before we could move forward. After we were approved, we were told that we could not place a deposit until we viewed the property and the earliest virtual tour (because we are relocating from the west coast to the east coast and could not do an in person tour) would be August 27th at 1:15pm pst. We were then required to wait six days for a remote virtual tour. During that time, we communicated with representatives through the website's virtual feature and by text message. We were prepared to secure the property as soon as we received approval, but were specifically told that we had to wait until after the viewing to submit a deposit. At the exact time of our scheduled virtual tour, we received a text stating that the property was no longer available. When we contacted the office, we were told the rental was "first come, first serve" and that the application fee would not be refunded. We were told we could use the application for another property they manage. If this is the way tenants are handled during one of the most important events (moving and relocating across country), why would I want to do business with them, it is not safe, smooth or respectful. We had to make adjustments to work schedules to meet their demands and were treated like our time money and energy were an inconvenience.

Tip 1 - if you're scheduling an ASAP ride, call the dispatch and ask them to give you an estimate of how long the wait time is at the moment. This is the MOST accurate info I get from them, the automated computer and the online estimate are just that - estimates. They're probably generated from some computer code and most of the time they're pretty close but the ONE day you need it to be right ofc will be the day it's WAY off. Call the operator instead. Tip 2 - talk to the drivers! I've ridden with 15+ drivers and pretty much all of them have been wonderful. I've had way friendlier drivers with yellow cab than Uber. Tip 3 - lower your expectations. At this point, their biggest competition is probably Uber who is just doing a better job. I've had late yellow cabs, wrong time estimates and honestly? Cabs that look like they're going to fall apart. But it will get you from point a to point b if that's all you're looking for. Overall, I'll be honest - if you have the option, I would recommend taking an Uber. Yellow cab could be a real contender if they had nicer vehicles and more accurate time reporting. Their drivers are super nicer but Uber is just more reliable.

DO NOT RECOMMEND!! I paid Dillon for new parts and service, and never received the new parts, a…read moreresponse, or a project completion. I paid the asking price for buying the parts and installing them (new front and rear brakes, front and rear rotors, windshield wipers) for one vehicle, and a throttle body (part only at that point) for another vehicle. NEVER repaired the throttle body. Removed it, 2 other parts were broken during the removal process, left that vehicle in parts in my yard with the engine cover missing. Then stated he would need to take the entire rear part of my motor off (and maybe another part), it would be a 2 day job, he needed to order a part that could only be purchased from the manufacturer, that part would take 2 weeks to arrive, would cost $2000 due to tariffs, and he could get it all finished for 2500-2800 when parts arrived. I questioned the continued increase in the price and was told it was because of tariffs and no place has the plastic part only the manufacturer. ALL of that regarding the necessary parts or how to fix the throttle body was incorrect. I ordered new parts for the ones that were broken (they were not broken before the old throttle body was removed) for less than $200, and the repair was done in a couple of hours for no where near what Dillon was stating he would charge. NEVER replaced any rotor or the front brakes for the other vehicle despite stating the rear rotors were replaced when the rear brakes were replaced. He only replaced the rear brakes (and they started making noise less than a week later--never made any noise prior and I stated I needed brakes and rotors based on my visual inspection of them and that is how i knew the rotors were never replaced--I looked the following morning). Stated there are 2 different types of front brakes for my vehicle, and he purchased the wrong ones despite entering the VIN in to search for parts. That also is incorrect--you type the vehicle information into the system, and there are different brands for brakes, but not different types (he said one type had 2 prongs and the other had 3 prongs). He stated that if I paid him for the parts (and he showed me some price list on his phone), he would drive to my work the next morning and repair my brakes so that I could get it inspected on the way home from work. That never happened. I never heard anything until after I sent emails and texts stating I was very concerned because I paid for the parts and install, but had not heard anything. Hours later he responded and stated he would be heading my way after he finished an alternator job. He never came or responded again that day/evening. I reached out again the following day inquiring about when the work would be done since I had paid for the parts and install already. He came late that day and then only "replaced" the rear brakes, but said rear brakes and rotors were replaced. After not repairing the brakes and rotors as paid for, he told me to take my vehicle to a shop in Churchville for a state inspection since the person working there "knew his [Dillon's] work and doesn't really check anything for the inspections, so it will be a guaranteed pass and will save you in the long run". I just want a refund for the parts and services I paid for and never received or give me the parts that I paid for and never received and refund for the install fee that was paid upfront as asked. They do not respond to texts or emails and the voicemail is full, so you cannot leave a message.
