Really do t go there if you are a veteran, they do not respect you. Reserve a car through a place like GovX and they do not want to accept it cause it wasn't through their site. Unsafe Vehicle and Terrible Service - Especially from Supervisor Josh Bolk I had a deeply disappointing and frustrating experience with Enterprise during a recent work trip in North Carolina. I initially picked up a rental car from the Greenville Airport (PGV) location. Very shortly after, the vehicle began making concerning noises and did not feel safe to drive. When I returned to the PGV location, they had no available vehicles to swap out. I was told I'd have to visit another location. I then visited a nearby Enterprise location, only to be met with rude, unhelpful staff who told me they couldn't do anything since I hadn't rented the car from them. Another location said they might have something tomorrow--not acceptable when you're traveling for work and need to be on the road. After contacting Enterprise by phone and filing a roadside assistance claim, I continued on to Wilmington, NC (my next work stop) and went to the Enterprise at the Wilmington airport. The employee there was initially very helpful and began processing a switch for me--until her manager, Josh Bolk, got involved. He refused to help, stating that because I rented the vehicle in Greenville, I had to go back there--even though that location had already told me they had no cars. Josh Bolk essentially chose to leave a customer in an unsafe vehicle rather than do the right thing and provide a replacement. This isn't just poor customer service--it's negligent and dangerous. I've been a loyal renter with Enterprise, but after this experience, I will strongly reconsider using them again. Enterprise needs to revisit its internal communication, policies, and especially the conduct of management like Josh Bolk, who clearly values rules over safety. read more

It would seem the 6721 Market St. Enterprise has made some changes since a couple of years ago...maybe in personnel?! I had a fairly smooth rental experience, except for the fact that, when I went to pick the car up, it was not full of gas, & looked dirty (the windows weren't clean). They ran it through the car wash, but the windows were dirty on the INSIDE. I was given a full tank WHEN I ASKED. Why should that be necessary? I was also told that the Nissan Vespa only got a few miles per gallon more than the Kia "compact" SUV that was also available: not true! Instead of the 33 mpg I was told, it got 44 mpg. I didn't want to rent a dark gray vehicle (Nissan), because it blends in with the pavement, & is less visible to other drivers... but I didn't want the mpg of an SUV, either. read more

I haven't rented a car in years and wasn't sure how it would be during Covid-19. I went online to reserve the vehicle and it was simple to complete the form. I received a confirmation immediately and it didn't require a credit card. A few weeks later I showed up 15min before my 5pm pickup time because they closed at 5pm. They had a tent set up so we got in line, everyone was keeping their distance. A gentleman with a mask on asked for our reservation. He came back fairly fast to review the vehicle and sign/pay on their electronic pad. The vehicle was pretty clean but had a few spots and a weird smell-probably from cleaning chemicals. I brought my own air freshener to help it. Renting for just a week had the best price but I needed it for a few more days. Still seemed like a reasonable price. Returning the vehicle was super easy too. Cars were lined up and parked in the return line. We parked the vehicle and left the keys in the return slot. Super easy! read more

Went in to rent a car today for our trip- they're out of compact vehicles by 10am on a Friday, this is not an airport location. The representative says the cheapest they have is $290 for a compact SUV. No thanks. Then pulling up the website for the same page-- it lists multiple smaller cars for this location, and the rate was $220. Weird that the website and the person in the retail space have different information. read more

I was having my car shipped as I just pcs'd and was told last minute by the carrier my car would be arriving 3 days late so I was in need of a rental car fast. Worst Enterprise experience ever. Worst overall car rental experience ever--and I've rented many cars over the last 15+ years. Listen to the other reviews and go anywhere else in Wilmington to rent a car. (There's another Enterprise location a mile away.) I'd have been better off paying more to rent a car from the nearby airport. Atrocious customer service. Eric Winner (Assistant Manager) was uniformed about company rental points policy, defensive, combative and he LIED about being the manager of the branch, when I asked for help from someone else / a manager, after he got defensive while we walked around the car. (He kicked back when I asked him to note scratches "bigger than a golf ball." But his escalating rudeness/dismissiveness throughout our sale is why I asked for someone else.) After I asked to speak to a manager, he told me he was going to refuse to rent to me. Yeah. Not cool. I walked back inside to find the real manager, Riley Stone (Branch Retail Manager), only to be met with more hostility. She further escalated the situation. I explained what had happened outside but she had no interest in listening to me or making the situation better. When she realized I was ready to call Corporate and their owners--with them standing there--she reluctantly walked me outside to finish the walk through. I noticed another long scratch on the back of the car (it was a badly scratched rental overall) and she snapped that it had already been noted. I had to explain to her that it hadn't been, as she wasn't there for the initial walk through. All of this terrible customer service and verbal abuse for what? Trying to rent a car? The sad thing is that I've had some stellar rental experiences with Enterprise recently, including one last week at the Charlotte airport. I called Corporate to document this awful experience, as they deserve to know how poorly Enterprise is being represented at this branch. read more

Very "Bro" attitude. I had reserved a large SUV for trip to Disney. I called twice to confirm the car, including the day before, we were to pick it up. I talked to Jeremy on the second call who was very nice. Tonight, one of their "Bro" workers answered the phone with attitude. He flippantly said he didn't see a reservation. when I told him I spoke to Jeremy the day before and asked to speak to a manager, he suddenly found the reservation, but didn't have the car I requested. He never let me talk to a manager. Obviously, they gave it to someone else, likely at a higher price. He offered to put me into a smaller car. No. just no. Do better Enterprise. Will not rent there again in spite of prior rentals there and it being close to our house. Will contact corporate and also the word locally. I made a reservation online for noon, after arrive a bit afternoon I get dropped off by my uber to find that THEY CLOSED AT NOON. new covid hours. I did not get a call or heads up of any kind they were just closed at noon on a saturday. What really inspired the review is the fact that ive tried to speak with a manager several times now and they will not call me back. look i dont expect that much from the rental car place but these guys here smh. read more

I would highly recommend avoiding this establishment. Long story, but I'll try to be brief. A few years ago I rented a car to make an overnight trip. The car was missing a hubcap, but I wasn't interested in looks, just transportation. When I returned the vehicle, the person checking it in got down nearly on all 4's and found scratches almost underneath the vehicle on the wheel well of the same tire missing the hubcap and claimed it was new damage. I asked if they truly believed this almost brand new car had been wrecked twice and the damage from both accidents was no more than 8 inches apart. I pleaded with them to exercise some common sense, but none was forthcoming. Their corporate office did an "extensive investigation" and determined I was responsible for the damage. When I received the bill, they charged me for ALL the damage INCLUDING THE HUBCAP! They obviously sent the same bill to the other person too and wouldn't drop the matter until I threatened to turn them in for mail fraud for trying to collect on the same "damages" from two different customers. At best, they're grossly incompetent. At worst, they're scam artists. You've been warned. edit to reply to the response: I think the response perfectly illustrates my point to their attention to detail. I DID bring it to your attention. You're the ones that sent me the fraudulent invoice. Stop ripping off your customers!!! If you're considering doing business with these scam artists, you're throwing your money away. I'm shocked at how disappointed I am. I have never left a 1 star review online for any business. "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything" is how I try to live life. Not today. The car I received had the gas light on, so I had to fill right away, and the car had ants in it. So, after buying some ant traps, putting them in the car, and killing the ants, things seemed fine. I got the car a few days before Hurricane Matthew, and paid for a few days worth of extra damage coverage. I was told to call back after a few days to let them know if I wished to extend it. A few weeks later, after seeing I was being charged the entire time, I called to ask about it. I spoke with a man named Blaine/Blane. I have never been treated so poorly on the phone. Without even asking for a refund, I was interrupted, told I was wrong, and was even told, "I'm not calling you a liar, but..." and was spoken to like I was a complete idiot. I wasn't asking for any money back, and was simply explaining that their policy of having to call to cancel the extra damage coverage is not how it was explained to me. Terrible customer service. After the empty gas and the ants, things smoothed out, and I would even have left a 4 star review because of how awesome the manager at this location is. he was so helpful the day I got the car. But on this day of returning it, I will never do business here again. Told them I would be there at noon and asked if the car would be ready and they told me they would have everything ready. I get there and the premium car I wanted was not available. The best car available was a Malibu. Then I had to wait 30 min for them to go get the car from another lot! So mad! read more

Outstanding customer service....it would have been very easy for the employees at Enterprise to be unfriendly or unaccommodating; however at every turn they have been polite, respectful, and helpful. They have made a very unpleasant situation much easier and I could not be more appreciative. I have spoken and interacted with numerous employees, due to the fact that I have had had one of their rentals now for over a month, and they have truly impressed me with professional behavior. Totally avoid Enterprise! I am/was a member of Enterprise and have always used them. I recently moved from GA to NC and I have a Ga license. I rented from Enterprise when I very first moved to NC with absolutely no issues, and now I reserved a car a month in advance call to confirm and they tell me I have to a NC license in order to rent a car and I cannot use my GA license with my debit card. It makes no sense and, the person I spoke to was really rude and when I explained I just rented from them she told me I was wrong and that was impossible! So thank you Hertz for matching my Enterprise Reservation price and taking my GA license with my debit card. I will NEVER be using this company again!! read more

Both the staff in the Wilmington, NC location on Market st. and the Richmond, VA location at the airport were very friendly and helpful. My rental started making a weird noise while driving and Enterprise called to check in right as I was about to call them. They made a note in my account and when I took the vehicle to the other location, they switched the car out right away. I ended up getting an upgraded car and they waived the gas fees for the inconvenience. Everyone I met at Enterprise was friendly and helpful right away, would definitely do business with them again. read more

Do NOT utilize this establishment! This place will scam you for your money! I received a rental from them while my car was being repaired. I returned the vehicle with a full tank of gas and in the same condition it was received. Shortly afterwards, I received a call from an agent telling me that the car suffered "significant damage" and he was keeping my deposit. He promised to send photos of the supposed damage, which he never did. I never heard from him again, he just kept my $50. A month later, I received a call from another Enterprise employee who told me that the cost of the "significant damage" was $150. An amount that is conveniently less than the deductible on my insurance and also less than the fee a lawyer would charge to dispute the bogus claim. So rather than have my insurance company fight it or pay a lawyer, I'm going to pay the $150 and eat the $50 deposit. But these employees are extremely dishonest and outright scam artists. NEVER do business with this company!! read more
