I'm a business traveler and have been a customer of Enterprise for over 10 years. However, my experience at this location on Nov 3, 2022 was the worst I've ever had with ANY car rental companies. I feel compelled to write my first review here. Stay away! The experience was simply appalling. The branch manager was nowhere to be found from 1pm to 2:30pm, leaving three customers waiting and one turned away (who returned to the office to change his rental car, unsuccessfully). She showed up at 2:30pm only after one of us was able to get hold of her through a National customer service representative (as funny as it sounds) around 1:45pm and told her on the phone there are three customers waiting in the office with reservations. When I asked why there was nobody working on a Thursday afternoon, the branch manager (Tremaine) started telling us about policy activities earlier during the day that caused the station to temporarily close -- But it was all cleared up around 1pm as we customers were able to enter the station (and all other rental companies were operating normally). Then she said she had to go to another location to contact customers by phone -- But none of us got any phone calls and I had to show her my call log to prove it. Then she started telling me my profile in the system must have the wrong phone number -- Honestly? In the end, she started making her own rules about who could get cars or not and claiming there is no car available for me, despite having an active reservation. She was unprofessional and rude, and showed no care for customers during the entire process. Eventually I had to book another reservation with Avis next door and continued my travel through Wilmington. I will continue to use Enterprise. But at this location, stay away! read more

My experience of this location on July 17th 2021 was indeed less than satisfactory, it was deplorable and not in keeping with the company's Mission, given how big the company is I expected more but was tremendously letdown, the manager at this location was rude and dismissive, the branch manager sets her own rules on who gets cars or not, wasted money going back and forth to the location, would not recommend. My rental experience was absolutely horrific. Knowing that I'll need a big vihical for my friends and family on my summer vacation, I reserved a full size SUV. The day prior to my reservation I called the location, spoke to the front desk to confirm my reservation, he said it'll be ready, upon arriving, the manager (I believe her name is Tremaine) was at the desk, gave her my licence and CC, she said they have a Nissan Armda, she charged my card plus $400 for security, she gets up to the back room, comes back, to my disbelieve she tells me there's no SUV's (I checked at their lot there was a full size SUV sitting there,) and starts claiming that I didn't confirm my reservation. She starts lying to me that she never charged my card, when I showed her on Chase app that she actually did charge me, she said "for all I know, you could have been at a different car rental today that charged you". What a hypocrite. She offered a Nissan Centre instead (small vihical), but she wanted to up charge me, more then double, claiming, since it's a different category she can't link it to my original reservation, what a lie!!!! We agreed to give her a few more days to get me a full size SUV, meanwhile I'll take a small car, I made a reservation on a Nissan centre for 3 days. Came back after 3 days, guess what, same Sh*tty company just a different day, they offered a 4 passenger instead of a full size SUV for a higher price then my original reservation. Yes, they charged me more then the original price. Company policy: "we screw you and you have to pay for our mess up"!!! If you're looking for a car rantal that lies, doesn't care for their customers, then this is your place to go. I would not recommend this place to anyone. They are very deceptive with their pricing and availability. They do not treat customers well, stay away! read more

I was overcharged because the manager lied & said I dropped the keys in the overnight box when I, in fact, handed the keys to her and was told she could not give me a receipt right then because she had to check the car in. She said she would email the receipt but did not. The only reason I was refunded for the 2 extra days is because they were closed Saturday and Sunday and I returned the keys to THE MANAGER Friday at 5:45pm. If this had happened during the week I would have been charged the 2 extra days. Also, it took numerous calls and several hours of my time to finally get a caring associate that explained why my $108, one day rental turned into over a $500 charge! He credited back immediately. This efficient associate was in Mexico so try to reach an associate there (although you probably can't request that) if you need a resolution to an overcharge! read more

Much like a previous reviewer, we have an older vehicle we don't trust taking out of town for short- and long-distance trips. We have used Enterprise for years based on competitive rates wherever we have lived so this was our first choice when we moved to Wilmington. I cannot praise this location enough. Sean, the branch manager, sets the tone for how the employees treat customers, and he sets the bar high. Everyone is professional, personable, friendly, polite, and most of all efficient. We have never encountered bad surprises like we have at competitors (car unavailable, car type reserved unavailable, long waits, lost reservations) and are in and out in minutes. We have been so satisfied with the consistent and dependable service here we have no interest in trying anyone else. Highly recommended. Tip: if you return your car after hours, the key drop box is located inside the train station and therefore only accessible until midnight. Be sure to get there before closing or don't bother until the next morning. read more

I have always been a huge fan of Enterprise and one again they did an outstanding job. I reserved the car yesterday online and when I got to the train station Mike helped me. He was very friendly and helpful. Answered all of questions and took me to the car did a good walk around and I was off. The car itself was cleaned and filed up. Occasionally I have to rent a mini-van for long trips b/c my own van is old & it's OK for riding around town but I don't trust it on long trips. I started using this location (after an unpleasant experience with another company) & glad I found it. I normally do not leave reviews for almost anything, however, I felt the need to leave one for Enterprise Rent-A-Car located in the Wilmington Train Station due to the diligent and immaculate customer service I received. I originally had rented a car through Enterprise for only three days, however, due to last minute circumstances on a daily basis, I kept having to extend the days. Each time I called the office, I spoke to Mike. Mike was very polite, professional, and patient with me. I also spoke to Marie who was just as polite, professional and patient. Along with great customer service, I like that the location is conveniently located within the Amtrak Train Station. This is useful for people who have to travel via train often, like myself. read more

Ok- i've gone through Wilmington many times and i love the Enterprise crew- i have to leave a review because i've had only good experiences with them. They've been helpfull and friendly and the cars have all been easy to figure out and economic. I say that because i once had another rental place's car and it drove me crazy with it's convoluted system when i needed my gps! So there you are. It's all true. Thanks guys. read more
