He cut his hair quickly and needed little instruction to execute our desired cut (short fade on the sides and trimmed on the sides). I got my hair cut by Gether. He was very gentle with my hair (combing and blow drying on low heat). I also appreciated that he examined his work periodically throughout and check with me if it was to my liking (length, thinning, etc.). Prices were very reasonable. We were charged $45 for my partner's cut and $60 for mine. They completed both cuts within 1.5hrs and it also comes with a shampoo. I'd highly recommend this place! read more

I wouldn't recommend this salon after our experience on Saturday, 3/15/25. I went in with a clear reference photo for a specific hair color, but May, the stylist, completely changed it--turning my blonde hair into a dark brown that looked nothing like what I asked for. When we pointed it out, she refused to admit the mistake and insisted it matched the photo, even though it clearly didn't. She said that it won't be 100% but that it looked 90% which is normal. I get that, but that doesn't look anywhere close to it. Instead of taking responsibility, she claimed it would look different in natural light, which wasn't true. If they had simply acknowledged the mistake and offered to fix it, we would have been fine with that. I've been going to May for about 5 years and am never disappointed. She's always been worth the 40min+ drive out. Every visit has always been consistent in quality. She takes the time to be detailed in her work, even when the shop is busy. I've been to many places where the hairstylist will rush their work the moment their queue gets hectic, but not here. First time at this salon and I will definitely come back again! Victor did my hair and I am very happy with the results. There was a small mishap with my appointment. I called a couple days ahead of time to book an appointment. Then I called a 2nd time to confirm my appointment, but apparently they misheard the appointment date the first time I called. On the day of the appointment, it felt like I was more of a walk-in client. I waited about 15 minutes for one of the hair stylist to finish their current client. It's been 12 hours since I got my hair cut here at Envy Salon and I've been mulling over whether or not to leave a review on Yelp because I've never done so (much less a bad one) and I really hate to be a reflection of the bad services of a business, but, when I look at my hair vs. the reference picture I showed them, I can't help but feel ripped off. I had been looking for a good salon that was able to replicate Asian style curtain bangs (picture 1), I decided to choose Envy because I looked the person who had introduced this place to me had their hair cut it was exactly what I had pictured. I was actually pretty confident in my choice because the hairstylist seemed to know what she was doing, snipping away at my hair and giving me a nice layered look, but when she got down to the sole reason why I chose to enter a salon in the first place--the curtain bangs--all hope died. Worst haircut ever - I got back to my car and cried. For $50 + tip for women's cut, I didn't expect such ridiculous result. The hairstylist, May, gave me a under cut WITHOUT asking me and my hair is extremely choppy underneath now. Once you lift up the top layer of my hair - it's all messed up. I have always had short hair and no hair stylists ever gave me something like that. She also cut my bangs way shorter than expected, (and choppy as well) which is the complete opposite of the photos I showed her. I don't know how long it's gonna take for me to grow my hair back to the way I like it to be (same length altogether, minimal layers) with it being so short now. "What the heck and what on earth was going on in her mind" are the questions I have everyday I see myself in the mirror and when I touch the back of my hair. If you look at the photo I uploaded, the picture on the left is the hair cut I got somewhere else 2 months prior to this visit. It's also one of the photos I showed May and the look I wanted to achieve. (My hair basically got longer and I wanted to go back to how it was 2 months ago, just maybe just a trim or something? And May chopped a ton of my hair off) (my work schedule changed and Envy's location and business hours is more convenient to me so I decided to give it a try - worst decision ever!!) The picture in the middle is how my hair looks like now after you lift the top layer of my hair up. So uneven and choppy like what the heck. Just why?? May explained the purpose of it is to give my hair some movement but seriously I don't need it. It feels like a door curtain hanging on my head covering the choppy part of my hair. The picture on the right is the front of my hair, the bang is so short and uneven. It does not enhance the shape of my face and it looks like a bowl cut. A freakin 3 year old bowl cut. Please, if you need a women's cut (especially short hair), don't go to May. 2 stars for her because she actually did a good job cutting my husband's hair (so I think it's safe to go to May if you are a guy). One of the worst haircuts ever. I should have paid attention to another review that mentioned MayLee butchered her short hair cut. The Yelp photos of May's work with long hair seemed great which is why I decided to make an appointment, and everyone mentioned how she was a sweetheart and friendly, but I got the exact opposite??? I dislike having to write this review in the first place and being negative but I don't want someone making the same mistake of going here as well. I showed May a few inspo photos of a long lob with face framing layers that hit around the lip. She ended up giving me curtain bangs that hit around mid-nose, which are completely different than longer face framing layers and are much higher maintenance that require daily styling which I did not want to do!! She was very cold the entire cut, made no effort to chat, did not check in with me at any point in time (how's this length, is it okay if the layers are like this, etc.) I'm used to stylists who try to engage a little bit at least, make you feel valued and confident in their ability, but May was NOT that. My haircut makes me look like I'm 15 years older, is extremely unflattering for my face shape and choppy at the bottom, and she left so much weight at the ends. It looks so gross, like it's all one heavy wig piece...vs. the haircuts I've gotten from other stylists that are all flowy and light. See picture, top left is what I got from May vs. literally everyone else NOT her. I also hate that she did not use any heat protectant while blow drying the shit out of my hair.
