I used to always go to Envy nails but I think this last time will be the last time. I had got a mani/pedi, something simply you know? They usually do great with my pedicures, leaving my feet super soft but this time around, it all felt rushed. The guy did my manicure last of course so I paid ahead of time which was a mistake! My manicure was also rushed. He put on a clear coat, two coats of the color and then another coat of the clear polish. I went to sit under the dryer and my nails started to get a LOT of air bubbles. This place just popped up in my hood and a friend mentioned their opening month promotion (20% off), so I called for an appointment and went in 15 minutes later. They are still working out some new-business kinks, but I had one of the best pedicure and shellac experiences I've ever had. Great pedicure! This place is very clean, they even have disposable bags that go over pedicure bowl so you don't have to worry about germs. Price for a basic pedicure is $30. I can't say enough for the excellent service and level of professionalism the staff provide, and I'm happy to say that after four visits, this is my new nail salon. Leo is the most patient and skilled nail technician I've ever met, and the other day, some customers came in right around closing and started shouting his name. He was courteous while explaining that he was almost done with my nails, and although he is def the crowd favorite, he took great care to make sure I felt taken care of before helping the next customer. I came in maybe about 2 hours before closing they were really business for a regular tuesday evening. The lady who did my nails I believe her name was Tammy. The work was good but i didn't receive what I had asked for. I just got plan white nails. What a wanted was more of a sheer white I'd guess you'd say. They do a great job on pedicures and gel nails with good pricing. The pedicure massage is a little lacking and the whole event only takes 30ish minutes. What they lack in massage they make up for in attention to detail. They really go at your cuticles and heels. I've only ever gotten a gel manicure and it has always been on point, not too thick. My last gel lasted over 2 weeks with zero chipping. Only had it removed because my re growth was too noticeable. No massage with the gel manicures though. They are busier then you would think so definitely make an appointment. There are a lot of chairs and people working but there always seems to be a lot of groups. They offer you a choice of red or white wine or water. A lot of men work here so if that words you out (doesn't bother me one bit) you should know. Very clean shop, restrooms, chairs, instruments, and foot baths. This is my go to place!!! read more

Love this place! I head over to Envy for pedicures, and I've never had to wait (w/ no reservation) - regardless of the time. I've had several different manicurists, and they're pretty consistent in their work. Although the plastic wrap over the water bowls looks a little funky, I think they're placing sanitation first, and that's most important to me in choosing a salon. If you choose the higher priced pedicure, you'll get a longer massage than any other salon in the neighborhood. On the price issue - they're average. The only downside for me is the color selection. I often bring my own polishes. read more

Stopped here for a pedicure - first time - because I was in the area. The chemical smell is present at every nail salon but it's truly overwhelming in this small space and I would recommend better ventilation with the number of chairs they have. My pedicure was good, definitely not the best I've ever had but also not the worst either. In my time sitting in the chair looking around I noticed lots of housekeeping issues - carpet/floor doesn't appear to be cleaned regularly. Several of the supply stations are stained, disorganized and everything seems to need a wipe down. Yes, I know that the dust is present in every nail shop but it's not usually coating every surface. I worked so hard to grow my nails long and healthy and was ready for a manicure. I asked for the SNS dipping powder to get an ombre (1st time doing an ombré). My nail tech was a guy, and he said the only way he could do the ombré was using the acrylic powder. I was confused and said no I didn't want acrylics I wanted dipping powder and if not I wanted a regular manicure because I had let my nails grow to have them ruined by acrylics. He tried explaining saying that it was a different way and began doing that. So I said ok and to file them, which he only filed some of my nails. My mistake was to believe him and see what he was going to do. Worst mistake ever!!!! He made them too thick and weird looking. I was so upset that I went 5 days later to another nail salon to get them removed. It took over an 1 hour to get them off because he used some kind of acrylic powder over my natural nail (without tip), making it super hard to come off. My nails were obviously VERY unhealthy afterwards, can't believe I had let them grow out for this. Like you couldn't even tell how long they were, he made them look super small and weird. The first time I went it was because I found one of the technicians on Instagram. I won't mention him because he does a good job. I recently started my pedicures so I've had to deal with the other staff members. The receptionist with the blonde highlights was dismissive and unhelpful. The water was cold. The pedicure chair was sitting straight up and I couldn't find the remote to adjust it so I was just sitting there with my feet in cold water looking crazy. She didn't offer to find the remote. I don't expect royal treatment, it's just a pedicure but some basic customer service would be nice. Probably won't be getting anymore pedicures here but I will continue to get my nails done. My suggestion is look up the technicians on social media and see if you can contact them personally. I wouldn't come to this nail shop if I didn't have an appointment. You'll basically be invisible. I've observed the way the receptionist communicates with other customers and she's rude to everyone. You can tell she doesn't like her job or she's annoyed. read more

I hate leaving a bad review as this is directed more toward the tech than the salon as a whole. I went in for an acrylic fill and a polish change for my first set of acrylics. Knowing what I know now I am leaving this review about a week later. I don't know the tech's name as he didn't say, but he was a sour middle-aged man with facial hair. Right off the bat I should have left when he flipped open a crusty old Altoid mint box to reveal dry, dirty filer heads. Seriously, they had nail dust all over and built up in the box like they hadn't been cleaned for days. Then as he was filing off the old gel top coat he kept nicking my skin and I would jerk and he'd apologize and then kept doing it so when I left I had sores all over my fingers. I washed like crazy or I probably would have developed an infection, I was terrified of it the whole time and just waiting for him to file my skin off again. He did not apply the acrylic evenly or as far down as he should have so when he applied polish you can see the color dip down past the "shelf". When he applied the polish it had hair in it and he acted annoyed and wiped the brush off on a towel and kept going so now I have little hairs stuck on some of my nails. He applied the polish like he didn't know what he was doing, with the brush too dry so there are little bubbles on my nails. When I pointed one out and asked him to fix it he acted extremely put off and applied more polish then the bubble just came out later along with more. He didn't even apply the polish evenly and any time I asked him to fix something he was rude about it and didn't fix it despite his minimal effort. THEN he forgot to apply a top coat so my polish wore off in a few days. On top of all this the tech was very rude. Maybe he was having a bad day but regardless he did a poor job and needless to say I won't be going back if this is the kind of people they hire. It's like he was someone's husband who just learned to "do" nails a few days ago and was just helping out for the holidays. Not professional. read more

I went to this nail salon on a recommendation from a friend. I got a gel manicure and it chipped after 5 days. This happened twice. I went back in today for SNS and a pedicure. The pedicure was basically a polish change and the owner was not concerned about my experience. I won't be back. That's for sure. read more

The service here was terrible. I had a prescheduled appointment and was seated by the host. My actual "nail technician" didn't greet me. He immediately sits down and was in his phone for at least 5 minutes before he even looks up to ask me what I want. I show him the picture of what I want and he gives the price (price was not an issue) he proceeds to start drilling my natural nail bed and was about to jump straight in to putting on my nail tips. I stopped him and told him I needed my cuticles clipped (which is something any nail tech should do before starting a service to make sure there's a clean slate) he said that would be an extra $5. Fine no problem. He asked what length I wanted and I told him and he got an attitude and told me "remember once you go short you can't go long again" to which I replied "ok". He used huge beads of acrylic which cause the application to be uneven and I can't see my tips peaking through the colored acrylic I chose.. he put one jewel at the center of each nail per my request and when asked to recenter one he got another attitude and was rough taking it off and started speaking another language to his coworker in an angry manner which seemed to be in response to my request.. (in the midst of all this he had stopped at least 3 times during my service to be on his phone) as I was looking at my nails which we subpar he comments "I can cut them off if you don't like them" also with an attitude.. i had a right mind to let him cut them off but I didn't want to pay for a soak off or stay home trying to get the rest of the nail off as that's not how I wanted to spend my day.. I had a terrible experience at this salon they let a customer leave dissatisfied and the customer service was terrible. my service was rushed. The work is sloppy. Would NOT recommend : read more

I used to go this salon frequently, and it used to be great. However, the last two times I've been there, I've had bad and frustrating experiences. Last time, the nail technician (not sure of his name) didn't file my nails evenly, didn't apply the polish evenly and had to redo them twice. I stupidly allowed this person to also wax my eyebrows because he told me he does this all the time, and of course they turned out to be uneven! I decided to give them one more chance, so I went back today. My nail technician filed my nails unevenly and left a lot of dry skin around them that should've been removed. When I asked her to remove it (something I should not have to do) she dug into my skin too deeply on my thumb, removed too much skin, and now it's sore and red. She applied gel polish with some fibers/hair in it and had to redo two of my nails after it was all done. I feel like they're moving clients in and out of there so quickly that they're not taking enough time with each client or paying enough attention to what they're doing! I wish that they would train all of their technicians the same way, make sure they're proficient in the services they're providing and TAKE THEIR TIME! Until then, I will not be going back. I hardly ever pamper myself and I will not waste my time or money there again. It is now a week and a half since I wrote the original review, and my nails have turned from grayish purple to this weird green color.
