I was in the area because my husband was doing…read moresome electrical work that would take a while, so I decided to find a nail salon to get my nails done. I walked in right behind David, who had just gotten back from lunch (food in hand!) and I asked if they had time for me. David took me immediately and put his lunch away. I've been to many nail salons trying to find "that" experience..the one we all look for when receiving a service. Comfortable, clean, and relaxing. None of the salons I've ever been to have checked every box..or even verbally communicated with me during my appointment...until I walked in to KD Nails and sat with David. The whole first appointment, David and I had conversation, and it was light and engaging. It was a breath of fresh air to be spoken to during my appointment and not just sitting in awkward silence! It was a great appointment and i realized that I have found my salon! I went for a couple more appointments, perfect experience each time, and he remembered our conversations and things that were going on in my life that we had spoken about. It was really a very personal experience. I booked yet another appointment and added a pedicure to it. The pedicure was so nice and relaxing, and she made sure I was comfortable the entire time! I have been back about 5 or 6 times since my first walk-in appointment, and I will continue to go to KD Nails for all of them, and I live in Manchester! Although David is leaving soon, Katie will be taking over my nails! I had my first appointment with her today and it was just as good as every other appointment I've had there. The reception area is welcoming, and the interior is always clean and decorated tastefully and themed for the appropriate season. Beverages and candies are always available, and light snacks upon request. The esthetitian staff here are highly skilled and very cordial. The service rooms are downright luxurious, with thoughtful ambiance and extremely comfortable beds! Cassie and Donna are my forever-favorites, but overall the staff members at this spa & the partner salon (especially Erin from Natural or Not) are skilled and accommodating. In terms of pedicure, pedicurists are technically not allowed to take out ingrown nails I recently found out from a nail tech, they are allowed to clip and file. I got an infection because WITHOUT ASKING the ladies insisted on taking out the nail with a dirty clip. For manicures, Jenny is such a sweetheart but rushes through clients and ends up cutting many of them with the drill (that she controls with her foot), myself included. To prevent infection cuz they reuse MANY things, she pours alcohol on which obviously really hurts. When anyone comes it seems her goal is to get as many people in here as possible. My sister went here a few months ago and lost a piece of her actual finger due to Jenny and her drill.

My friend's tech spoke English pretty well but my tech didn't, but my friend's tech was able to interpret my needs to my tech, and all went well. I am very happy with the quality of the services. The salon was not overly busy (later in the day on a Sunday), but clearly the "if you have time to lean, you have time to clean" philosophy was in play here- the salon was spotless. I had my second appointment and changed to hard gel, hoping it was a chemical issue with the acrylics. Within six days of my appointment a nail popped off.
