Wish I could go higher but a couple of issues are worth one star so the 4star rating comes down to 2.5 but I up'd it to 3. Pizza is good, subs also (when fresh sliced). But the potato salad that equates to about $15lb is ridiculous! I ordered a sub, my friend had two slices. We split a potato salad for $3.50 that was literally 6 bites! 3 bites each! We laughed out loud. So loud the gal behind the counter looked our way. Enzo you really have to reevaluate that pricing. Totally insane. read more

Last night, a group of senior neighbors got together at Enzo's to celebrate the 88th birthday of our neighbor, "Big Eddy". The owners, Sabino and Lisa, rolled out the red carpet to make Ed's birthday so special. One of the cornerstones of Italian culture is 'La Famiglia" and Ed and his guests were treated like family. Besides delicious food, their hospitality was warm and genuine as they couldn't do enough to attend to our party. It's obvious why Enzo's has been a fixture in Oceanport for decades as the owners aim to please their customers. FYI: Grandpa's Pie with fresh mozzarella and basil pesto on sesame crust is a must try. read more

There aren't too many restaurants like Enzos these days...the food is fresh and the pasta dishes delicious. But it's the service that's top notch. Lisa always has a smile and a kind word. She is such a warm "front of the house". Sabino never loses his patience no matter how many ravenous grammar school-aged sports teams descend after their games demanding pies. Enzos has the friendliest service around and fantastic pizza and subs. And every, single year, this family-owned business generously donates meatballs to the local Boy Scout Troop's annual fundraiser. They're a terrific business it's a pleasure to patronize this local eatery. read more

First time coming here and the food is really good. Now that it's Halloween they have the whole place with decorations and look really good. Staff were really nice and polite. I feel it was a little on the pricy side for two slices of pizza a hot sub and two bottled drinks. Over all it was really good and I'm sure I will be back. read more

My favorite pizza in the area the only bad thing is I drove past this everyday for a year and never stopped The ingredients are top notch the cheese isn't rubbery and they put plenty of on it. The sauce is tasty and they put a decent amount so there is no need to request extra sauce. The only thing I would change is When I order a whole pie it has to be well done. Great place with great food run by great people. I was in town for work for the night and wanted a tasty cheesesteak and I found it at Enzo's. So glad I went in.. I had the daylights scared out of me from their amazing Halloween decorations that may or may not come to life at any point lol.. and then met the friendly owner and his welcoming family who run the restaurant. Great experience and the cheesesteak was LEGIT. Glad I found this place!! I just wish I had one closer to where I live in NY because I would be a regular for sure. read more

More than a pizza sub joint, Enzo's has evolved into a friendly local go-to establishment based on the excellence of the food and the friendliness of the entire staff. I have passed this place for years. It's located in that huge mixed use/apartment building and retail-office complex on the North side of Monmouth Park. There is usually plenty of street parking right in front of the pizzeria. I ordered the Enzo Deluxe sub sandwich which has salami, pepperoni, soppresat, prosciutto, imported provolone cheese (very tangy and delicious compared to the mild domestic provolone most places serve) and all the trimmings; shredded lettuce, onions, tomatoes, and vinegar and oil. On top of being a very thick sandwich, the counterman (It may have been the business owner) made it very moist with lots of red wine vinegar - the key to a great sub, in my humble opinion. All meats were freshly sliced for my sub, not pre-sliced like most other places today. The sub was great, one of the best I have ever had. Which is saying a lot - I worked in sub shops and delis when I was younger. Everything looked fresh; from the pizza ingredients to the various kinds of pizzas available by the slice, on display at the counter. This pizzeria is head and shoulders above most others. Highly recommended. Enzo's also has freshly baked brownies, blondies (mine was excellent), and chocolate chip cookies available for dessert. read more

We didn't try the pizza so please note this is for the restaurant experience and the dinner plates we had at Enzo's. The place has very little appeal as a place to sit down and eat. We had it in mind to go out to an Italian restaurant, so when we saw the place we could have chosen to go elsewhere. There was tension among the staff and also an argument. Then a character came in who was on familiar terms with the staff. This person was loud and annoying and dominated the dining area. We were not happy with the environment. The bread was submarine sandwich rolls sliced up with garlic and butter. The dinners were decent -- VERY basic -- they were served hot and the portions were generous. Regarding the ambiance there were two saving graces: the restaurant seemed to be quite clean and the waitress was kind. Enzo's has potential but is sorely lacking in charm. read more

I love Enzos and always have, they're so kind there and the food is delicious. But they are NOT taking Covid seriously. When indoor dining opened, they had people sitting and eating at their tables, but they were not wiped down in between customers. The woman who was making the sub sandwiches often took her mask down and was breathing all over customers food and plates. The man making the pizza was not only eating behind the counter, but not once did I see his mask on as he put pizzas in the oven, took them out, or served other customers. The lack of respect for our communities health is something that really made me lose respect for this place. read more

Ordered a "belly buster " sandwich which was said to include cheesesteak chicken fingerS, mozzarella stickS cheese and fries, for 8 DOLLARS . i get a sandwich with half a chicken finger and motz stick and i decided to try and make it right in person, and they tell me they'll give me my money back instead of just making it right. here's a pic of what they think is worth 8 dollars and couldn't even make right. unreal. been going there non stop and never had issues until now and it shows their real character. read more

I have been to this pizza place a few times. Once before with my very well behaved dog and my friends very well behaved dog. We were just trying to enjoy a nice lunch, and were sitting outside, the dogs never barked or misbehaved. Before we even got our food an employee came out and told us that we had to leave, that the dogs were not allowed on the property and their customers were scared of them. They also said that it was their busy lunch hour and they had a lot of customers (we were literally the only people there, besides a mother and her child). The gave a lame excuse that their landlords did not allow dogs in the property. I will never go back to this pizza place, they have lost our business and I will be sure to tell all of my local friends to never go there. read more

Excellent place to stop in for lunch or dinner. Popped in for a quick bite and got myself a slice of sausage and peppers. Very very good! Good sauce, fresh sausage with nice amount of fennel, not a grease slick. Crust was also very good. They are close to the track, so it would be a perfect place to stop in at before you go to the track to get something good to eat before you place some bets. Also a good place to come after the races for dinner with the family. They have a fairly large dining room. Lunch came early for me, so I was able to meet the owners. Nicest people! Will definitely come back again when I'm back in the area! read more

Eggplant parm was to die for! We randomly stopped here before our long car ride home because we saw some signs. The eggplant parm was fresh and huge and amazing. We got one with regular sliced mozz and the other with fresh mozz. Fresh mozzarella adds +$4.00/sub which seems like a lot but my boyfriend said it was worth it. Brand new store and great service.
