I've been going to The Brothers Pizza for 50+ years. We recently went on a Thursday night and to be honest the pizza wasn't great. Something changed. When you eat the same pizza for as many years as I have, you notice a change in flavor of the pie. My go too is thin crust and sausage. I've been a loyal customer for over 30 years, and Ralphie has always treated me kindly. But something has definitely changed--and unfortunately, not for the better. I recently ordered some pasta and a pizza to go. The pizza crust was nothing like it used to be--tough, bland, and cardboard-like. It felt like something pre-made from a grocery store. I used to love their pizza, but now, not so much. As for the pasta, it was overcooked, which, coming from an Italian restaurant, feels almost like a sin. Time to say a novena! On a positive note, the sauce has improved. It used to be overloaded with garlic, but now it's more balanced--decent, not amazing, but definitely a step up. Still, I can't get over how bad the pizza was. What happened? With so much local competition, you'd think Ralph would want to stand out--maybe reinvent the pizza, create buzz on social media, and bring in more customers. But letting things slide like this feels like surrendering to mediocrity. Disappointed is an understatement. read more

Before I dive into this, the service is NOT the issue. The staff was wonderful. I have been going to brother's for as long as I can remember. I went last night for the first time in a couple of years. I'm not sure if they changed ownership, but the pizza was far different than what I remember. The crust felt and tasted undercooked, it wasn't as crispy as it used to be. I know for a fact that they are using different cheese because the pizza was incredibly oily, and the cheese had a weird flavor to it. This place has been a tradition in my family, but sadly, the tradition is ending. As crazy as it may seem, I think Domino's would have been better had I known that the pizza would be this terrible. read more

The ambiance is 1950s. The food was OK, nothing special. It was a Sunday night, restaurant was slow, but definitely not empty. The staff started to stack chairs on empty tables in full view of and near to customers who were still eating. it was still one hour before the posted closing time. My comment didn't matter. I was Just there with friends last night, been coming here forever. I hate to agree with some of the reviews but they say "Something has changed" and last night I had to agree. We ordered pizza, salads and tort ellini. The salads were great but the pizza was dry and somewhat bland and the tortellini not much better. This is the best crust pizza I've ever had. I got a sausage and peppers, thin crust pizza, and the pizza was not greasy at all despite the homemade sausage that you could tell was all over it. It's a must have one in the area. read more

Solid, no-frills Italian spot. Happened in on this place one Saturday night when all nearby restauraunts were quoting us an hour-plus wait without reservations. The Brothers was able to seat us immediately. While the large dining room is quite sparse and not the place for a fancy night out, the service was great and the food flavorful. I'd highly recommend their bar pies - you can't go wrong the classic margherita loaded with fresh mozzarella and basil - or their fantastic meatballs. read more

TERRIBLE SERVICE FROM BAR SERVER/manager/hostess Well...where do I start visiting from out of town but grew up here...came in today with my 83 yr old mother and her small "service" dog in a dog stroller...greeted by bar server asking for ID for animal...my mother flustered could not find right away in wallet fast enough for bar server/managers demands (but found it in car)AFTER BEING SCREAMED AT TO LEAVE AND TOLD SHE WOULD CALL POLICE IF WE DIDNT PUT AWAY CARDS AND LEAVE!!! Again my mother just couldn't find card fast enough for her...and she WOULD NOT TAKE PICTURE I HAD OF ID ON MY PHONE....she became HYSTERICAL LOUD AND RUDE...I will NEVER return By the way...I only visited because we were meeting a retired MARINE for lunch! read more

We loved this place! It came highly recommended from friends who live in Colorado too so we made it a priority to visit while we were on vacation. We went for a late lunch and were the only people dining, but it seemed like there were quite a few regulars hanging out at the bar enjoying each other. We were treated really well by Karen (I believe that's her name). We had the pepperoni garlic rolls for an appetizer- they were absolutely delicious! Then we had the Grandma's pizza which is a special square homemade thin crust pizza with fresh mozzarella, tomato sauce and basil, and then we added sausage to half. WHOA this was so good! It made us really happy. It's a large pizza (only comes in one size) but we didn't want to waste any of it so we took it back to our hotel and had it for leftovers the next day, it was that yummy. This is a big restaurant with lots of seating and good prices and a great menu. We would definitely be regulars if we lived here. You must go!!! read more

Best Pizza in Jersey! Been coming since i was a kid. live in Philly now and every now and then the stars align and i can bring my college baseball team in for a meal after playing locally. FANTASTIC. Great service from my reservation to the tables being ready when we walked in. The speed of the food and speed and courtesy of the servers while keeping the rest of the diners happy and fed was impressive. We came in on Saturday night around 8:00. Very no frills, cafeteria feel, but everyone is clearly there for the food. We ordered the penne vodka with fried chicken, the Large Extra Special Pizza and the Supreme white pie. The penne vodka portion was HUGE, it is enough to basically order and serve family style in my opinion. It was not as pink of a sauce but it was very good and I really liked it. The Extra Special pie comes with sausage, peppers and mushrooms. It was very good, super thin crust, but I almost felt like there were too many toppings if that makes sense. The toppings took away a bit, next time I think I'd just try one topping. The Supreme White Pie has ricotta, sauteed spinach, garlic and cherry tomatoes (we opted to not get these). It was tasty, a little bit strong on the garlic. They have a lot of beer choices and they are really cheap in my opinion. A pitcher of light beer is $11 and $3.25/pint. Our bill with the 2 pizzas, penne vodka and 3 beers was only $60 for 3 people and we left with a ton of leftovers. What happened to this place? Let me guess, new staff, new ownership, new chef (If I should even consider him that, he's probably a short order cook at best). Not only did they not give me what I ordered, which was linguine with mussels, so when I checked my order , the lady working there, I'm assuming she was the manager, she says to me "we don't make linguine with mussels. I live less than 2 miles from Brothers, and it USED to be my go to place for pizza. While it's been some time now since we ordered from there I came across the menu and ordered a shrimp scampi pie for $24.00 . I had to check once I got it in the car there was something in the box because it felt so light all the while knowing it is a thin crust pizza. The cardboard box probably had as much taste as the pizza dough . NEVER AGAIN!!! read more

Summer Friday night but tried for a little bit to call in an order and their phone was off the hook...we decided to drive over, place the order, and grab a drink at the bar. Bartender was great in helping us and handling the bar in general. They awkwardly have the big commercial ice machine in the bar room which kicks off more heat than the AC can keep up with so place was super hot. Pizza actually came out pretty quickly.
