Epcot (Orlando) FUTURE WORLD WEST Standby wait time: 15 mins, so why not. We knocked down three with classic Disney characters in one line, in one spot. Not sure if the characters rotate or how frequently they do but our photo op included Mickey, Minnie, and Goofy. They each had a section beginning with Mickey. You could also get Pluto or Donald in the mix. Professional photographers were on hand but the Cast Members (employees) will also take photos from your personal phone cameras. That's my character(s) picture for the day! Our visit was in July 2019 but the Character Spot in Epcot closed on September 8, 2019 to make some improvements at Epcot. I'm all about taking photos with characters and Epcot Character Spot is a sure bet for just that! You know the characters will be there and you know you will get some unique photos with characters. Here's my only issue...You can make FastPass reservations for the classic Disney characters like Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Donald. That's awesome for sure! But I'm all about getting photos with the newer or more scarce characters. On my most recent (Dec 2017) visit they had Baymax from Big Hero 6 and Sadness from Inside Out. Well a bit disappointing was waiting in line for 30 minutes for Sadness AND Joy from Inside Out, only to get to my turn and Joy was on a break. Wah wah. But also, you can't make reservations for these more special characters. Your only option is to buck up and wait in line! Characters are the only thing at Disney I actually wait in line for. But...since they can do fastpasses for the others at Epcot Character Spot, why not Big Hero 6 and Inside Out Stars, as well!? Either way, character experiences here are always fun! The handlers are always friendly and happy to take pictures for my PhotoPass. And the characters themselves always make the interactions cute and memorable. read more

Head to the Epcot Character Spot at Innovations West to meet Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Pluto, and Goofy! When you enter the Park, pass the huge Golf Ball (you want it to be on your left when you're passing it) and then hang a right into Innovations West and you'll see the Character Spot. If it's the off-season, you shouldn't have to worry about a fast pass because there isn't usually more than about a ten minute wait. Otherwise, I highly suggest to get a fast pass for to meet these popular characters! Without it, you'll find yourself waiting in a really, really, really long line! It's really great to go from character to character and they each take the time to really interact with you and/or your children. They really go the extra mile to make your kiddos feel extra special! read more

A fun and easy way to meet up with some Disney characters. They have Baymax, Joy and Sadness all in this one stop off, so it's easy to grab a few pics in a relatively short time. The lines move at a decent pace, and the only real wait is if / when the characters need a break or they do a switch out. We waited to see Joy and Sadness for about 20 minutes. Baymax takes about 15 minutes in lines. Considering it knocks three characters out with photo ops, 35 minutes isn't a bad deal! NOTE: If you're an annual pass holder, you can download the digital photos for free on the app or online. Overall: A Great place to get some good photo ops with characters! read more

I'm not one to do photos with characters, but I knew the actor in the suit and he asked me to come by, so I did. And I'm REALLY glad I got the chance. I visited the newest addition, Joy & Sadness and Baymax. These are great additions because the characters are really relatable. The lines are manageable, and the Cast members I encountered were all Wonderful. They are completely themed and being that I'm a Disney Pass Holder, I was able to get my picture and down load it to my computer, something I've not done before! read more

Great spot to meet several beloved characters. As with the Magic Kingdom, one son just could not start the day without a meet and great. This time it was Mickey who turned his frown upside down. Then it was on to Goofy, Minnie, and, across the way, Baymax. We didn't feel rushed, but it was nice and streamlined. We never did make it to Joy and Sadness, but I was rather disgusted that Disney doesn't have a meet and greet for my favorite emotion. ;) read more

Sorry we just got a picture here with Joy and Sadness! But the photographer and assistance is not nice, usually they are enthusiastic and full of energy but they have no energy, does not smile. The only nice is the old grandma assisting the line. But the other two are just wrong at that place. Maybe they are anger and sad characters of the movie! read more

The character spot is divided into 3 sections, each with different characters. All are indoors with air conditioning, a welcomed respite from the Florida heat. Mickey, Minnie, and Goofy are all accessed through one line, although pictures are taken with each character individually not as a group. Mickey, Minnie, and Goofy have both a fast pass and a stand-by line options. Part of the line has TV's that play Mickey, Goofy, and Donald cartoon shorts and display Disney trivia. Across the breezeway, Joy and Sadness and BayMax can be found. Joy and Sadness are to the right and are accessed via the same stand-by line. BayMax is to the left and also has a stand-by line only. To reiterate, Joy, Sadness, and BayMax do not have fast pass lines. Baymax does not sign autograph books. Additionally, no pre-made autograph card exists. Epcot Character Spot is an indoor location to meet Baymax from Big Hero 6, Joy and Sadness from Inside Out, and Mickey Mouse. Minnie Mouse and Goofy also make appearances. I think it's a great idea for young kids to get out of the sun but I wouldn't wait too long. I know they offer a FastPass+ option for Mickey and Friends. I recommend stopping by and meeting some characters if the temperature is high. read more

When in Disneyland in CA, a fun thing to do is to search for the Disney characters just so you can get a pic with them and get their autograph. Well, when in in Epcot where the heat is blazing, you go indoors to see the main characters. When it was hotter than hot outside, I'm so glad they had this spot! Such a fun and easy way to get pics with characters including Mickey, Minnie and Goofy. Cast members were friendly and made it fun especially for my nephew. He had a great time joking around with Goofy and giving kisses to Minnie. And they had no problem taking our group photos along with solos with the character. This is a great place to meet many of your favorite Disney characters...There are often several here at once, so it's possible to meet more than one if you like. The offseason is the best time to visit this location since the wait times will be significantly lower than others...if you are in the park at other times you may have to wait a while. It's definitely worth the wait. read more

Use your fast pass for this, otherwise you'll find yourself waiting on line for over 30 minutes for a quick meet and greet. Disney Chase visa card members have a private area for meet and greet. It's in a separate area and you must present your Disney Chase debit card in order to enter. The upside of being a Disney Chase card member, you get to meet multiple characters in a short period of time if you plan your fast pass schedule correctly. We did the Epcot Character Spot first, waited for about 10 minutes, took photos with 3 different Disney characters and right after that, we made our way to the Chase one. At Chase, we got to take a complimentary group photo with Minnie Mouse and Pluto. After each photo op, the photographer will scan your Disney "Magic Band", and you'll be able to view those pictures online or at any of their photo kiosk. I highly recommend treating yourself to a photo here. I much rather do this than scour around the amusement park looking for specific characters. We came across several characters in every park we've been to during our visit and the lines for those could be dreadfully long and boring. Definitely use your fast pass and you'll save yourself a lot of time by doing this if you're into taking memorable photos with Disney characters. If this isn't your cup of tea, then save your fast pass for rides and other attractions. read more

If you're traveling with kids and have a fast pass to use in Epcot, definitely use it here. The regular line is ridiculous without a fast pass, to the point of not being worth it. Anyway, when you get in you'll have access to 3 meet and greets with Disney characters. Our kids got Mickey, Goofy and Minnie and they were thrilled. Photo ops galore. Probably one of the better things for small kids to do in Epcot. read more

Mystery Photogenic Place Overall: 4.5 Stars As with any Disney park all the characters are well...in character. There are usually 3 characters to take pictures with. In my case it was Mickey, Minnie and Goofy. Each photo taken can be scanned onto your magic band/card so you can view the pictures at any time. The characters are very interactive and will take down the group grump with ease. The biggest plus regarding this meet and greet in comparison to the majority of the other meet and greets is the air conditioned room. The majority of the other characters are stuck in the sweltering Orlando heat as well as everyone else. I highly recommend using the fast pass because the wait time will easily pass 45 minutes during peak periods. We ended up going here to kill time before the IllumiNations nightly event. read more

Automatic! I always need to come here to take pics with the Fab 4! I made sure to use a Fast Pass for this one - the regular line didn't seem long, but it doesn't matter...I wanted to make sure my wait was a little as possible! The photographers and characters were nice and patient with our party of 5, especially since we did a group picture, and then one with just me! Haha...told you, I NEEEEEED to take a picture with them! Either use a Fast Pass for this, or wait in line - I promise you, you won't regret it! ps: the Disney Chase one is only one or two of the characters with a different background. I'll show up anywhere where I can get to say hello to Donald Duck. It's good to see him smiling since most of his press catches him badly in need of anger management. If you're here with younger children this is a most stop because EPCOT is generally more enjoyable to the adults than to the children. There are two sides to the Character Spot. The best time for both is in the afternoon when most guests are in the international area. The side with the classic characters is best as the line moves quickly and you get to see 4 characters and get pictures and autographs from all of them after a reasonable wait time. The other side has two distinct lines and each line tales longer than the one line on the other side. Currently, Baymax is up front and Joy and Sadness are in the back. I'm giving this perk 4 stars but I'd only give this credit card 1 star. The Disney Chase Visa Character Meet 'N' Greet at Epcot (with your Disney Visa card) is one of the few great perks with this credit card. We went twice during the week, two different days, and got the same two characters (Minnie Mouse and Pluto) each time. Short wait for Character Meet 'N' Greet and slightly longer wait for complimentary photo given at separate location. The credit card itself offers few other real benefits in my opinion. read more
