Room was super comfy with a nice couch and mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker. 2 bottles of water was a nice surprise. What really stood out was the room darkening curtains, woke up at 7:30 and thought it was still 4am. We did have an issue due to a winter storm, took out their satellite tv so it was a quiet night. We had a very restful night.

Secondly, the provided breakfast was very disappointing. So much so that we went shopping for breakfast items to keep in our room as we had no interest in dining out each morning. Also, our suite did lack robes which made it much harder to remain comfortable while we relaxed after soaking in our hot tub and during our morning breakfasts in room. That being said, if you'd prefer prepared breakfasts, there is a great couple cafes just on the other side of the parking garage that open fairly early. Just don't expect this hotel to satisfy any real hunger in the morning. To summarize what was available: Overly lemon juice coated fruits Plain white bread products with a toaster Scrambled powdered eggs and bacon so thin it doesn't even taste like bacon Cereal/milk Oatmeal Overcooked hard boiled eggs (green ring around yolks) I think I saw yogurt on people's tables but it was gone when we arrived. Lastly, the tables in the breakfast room are very wobbly. We moved once and it was still an issue at the next so that was about the time we left. That being said, here are the things we loved: -Great ambiance in the lobby with a couple games and sketchbooks to pass time. -Friendly front desk staff -charming suite with spacious hot tub and powerful shower -comfortable couches, bed, and chairs -in suite table was sturdy and did not wobble -proximity to cafes and shops -free parking -restaurant on site; for dinner only. -nearby park/trail decent for jogging/walking

The location is solid, walkable to downtown and right next to the baseball stadium. Plenty of free parking and some really cool businesses right in the vicinity. Check in was easy and staff was very friendly. We stayed in a Loft Suite and were very happy with the room. The bar in the hotel lobby was very welcoming and we enjoyed a couple cocktails both at the bar and brought to our room. Overall great experience and definitely would return.

The hotel has a great location right across the street from Dutch Wonderland amusement park and is close to a number of restaurants and shops. There's plenty of parking, and the interior is spotlessly clean. Our room was comfortable; the beds were not too hard, the bathroom had plenty of hot water, and housekeeping kept everything spotless. Their free breakfast was pretty good as thee things go; easily accessed hot drinks, pre-packaged Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches, some fruit, waffles. And they have a really nice big pool and a good hot tub. Altogether, not bad at all. The downside: well, not a lot, but ... if you stay here ask for a room that doesn't face the highway, which is filled with noisy cars and big trucks all day and much of the night. Our AC worked fine but it was noisy the good news: it blocked some of the outside racket). The staff was mostly friendly and helpful though one front desk person was kind of grumpy. We all have bad days. All in all, we were satisfied with our visit and have no hesitation in recommending the Parkview to others coming to this area.

When I say loud, I mean we could understand every word in every song that played. The rug felt damp like it was recently washed and hadn't tried in the entire day/evening we were there (didn't smell or anything) the shower, when others were using it also, there was barely enough water to rinse entirely. Not a huge deal, it worked fine after a few minutes. The room we had was spacious. They didn't have a room phone no biggie because we never use them anyways. Overall, I liked it. In the main building is Penley's Kitchen, a small grab and go/gift shop, an activity area, and an updated arcade. We got to experience a character meet and greet as well as a "dance party" on Saturday night. The arcade was a lot of fun too! Penley's kitchen was very convenient and highly recommend for breakfast (buffet and 4 and under eat free). Dinner was fine but the kitchen was overwhelmed and we waited a very long time for a salad and two kids chicken tenders. There is an indoor pool in a separate building between the splash pad and the outdoor pool. While it has great hours (9:30am-9:30pm), it is small and was overly crowded. There's a small kiddie pool and hot tub in the same building. There's also a lifeguard on duty. They ran out of towels our first visit but some were brought by the time we left. First visit no chairs were available. Second visit earlier in the evening was much better. The room was a standard king overlooking the pool area. There were fire pits which we used Saturday night. The room was fine-I would have preferred a softer mattress. The shower also did not completely stop coming out of the faucet so the tub filled up while taking a shower. The outdoor pool area looks great for summer! This will be where we stay from now on when visiting Dutch Wonderland!

And almost everyone at the resort was helpful and friendly, the only critique would be one of the front desk people was a little unfriendly (not worthy of a bad review on its own but since I'm writing this I guess worth mentioning), and one of the maintenance guys stared me down. The restaurant staff was very friendly and attentive, but the food is meh. The drainage stream could be lined with stone or something to make it look intentional, or install some kind of drainage up gradient? The arcade is nice. I would only stay here again if we got one of the second floor rooms overlooking the pool, and I would have a backup plan. Because the location is great. We had a friend in one of those rooms that seemed to get more light, with no odor.
