Our little boy loves going to Epic. They are so good with the kids. I'm quite impressed with how well Mr. Wilkerson and Mr. D, his two instructors, interact with the younger children. They know how to motivate them as well as having fun and giving their young exposure to martial arts a positive experience. I've also had the opportunity to watch them instuct older, more advanced groups and am impressed with their approach there, as well, regarding discipline and control. It's clear that they pay attention to their students' strengths and weaknesses and take the time to work with them to improve both. Their focus on honor and integrity is especially important. And hey, their summer day camp is fantastic! Our son has gone to two different weeks and loved every minute of it...he didn't want to come home! My three kids have been taking lessons from Mr. Paul and Mr. Parman for several years now and we all love it. Epic Martial Arts promotes a real family atmosphere. One of the BEST MARTIAL ARTS SCHOOL in town, Mr. Paul, and Mr. Parman is a great mentor and a role model for all of these kids. They are very passionate at what they do and provide the excellent work and knowledge. My three kids and I been at the karate school for 5 1/2 years, I am very proud and blessed to say that they are my second family. This is the 1st year in which my son attended summer camp at Epic Martial Arts. He is 9 and had an excellent experience. In fact, he has asked if he can attend next summer. The staff is very welcoming to students and parents. They always greet you and are very responsive to questions. I like the fact that there is a different theme every week, they get 2 martial arts lessons a day, they have awesome games to keep the students attention, and they have great activities and onsite/offsite field trips. Such a great experience for both of my children, ages 7 and 5. We started by doing a Star Wars training class. We were hooked afterwards! We love Mr. Wilkerson, Mr. D, Mr. Paul, Mr. Gassaway, and the rest of the Epic staff. They have such a special way with all of the children. Teaching them not only martial arts, but discipline, integrity, perseverance, I could go on and on. We absolutely LOVE EPIC!!! My oldest daughter has severe anxiety and they work with her one on one and have done WONDERS in just a few months with helping to alleviate what years of scouts and other activities her therapist suggested we try, couldn't fix. They have both boosted her confidence and taught her to defend herself. We couldn't speak more highly of them if we tried. Such a great experience for my now 7 year old. I have seen so many improvements in his home and school life because they not only teach karate but teach them concepts such as integrity, self control, perseverance etc. I have never seen my son commit to something so easily and it's all a direct result of the investment of the staff to each student on an individual basis. Good people at Epic. Mr. Paul and Mr. Parman truly put their hearts into what they do because it is their passion. That is not something that can be taught. The love for their students and families is genuine. So much of what is taught are things that go beyond self defense, but an awareness of ones own capabilities that students may not be yet aware of. I love this place. My son has been going to the afterschool program since 2016 and it has made a huge improvement in my son's confidence and behavior. This Martial Arts school is one of the best. The instructors are caring and have a great disposition with kids and adults. My kids have attended this school for about three years. All of the senseis are attentive and keep the kids engaged the whole class. Our son has learned so much already. They have the kids earn stripes for things like practicing integrity at home so they can practice discipline and other skills outside of class while also earning something other than a new belt.
