Wow - what great service! I looked everywhere for the right pair of boots. I'm a very tough fit and demanding skier. I ended up finding a pair of very nice Solomon race boots. Not only did they give me a great deal, but Greg took the time to custom fit them to perfection. I went back last week, after a year of skiing on the boots and asked him to make some adjustments - since he suggested they change after skiing on them. He custom moulded the liner and took out some foam all to make sure they were perfect. This is a real skiers dream store! read more

I wanted to invest in some ski boots that are probably going to be the last ones I ever buy. I aimed to go the first day of the Labor Day sale so I could get the widest selection, but was out of town. No problem. When I finally got in there (expecting the selection to be limited), Greg Holliday was extremely helpful. We talked about the kind of skier I am and what I was looking for. He was quite knowledgeable about boots from many manufacturers and suggested a few pair, which I tried on. We homed in one pair. Still, I wanted to shop around for this big purchase and also had to leave town again. Greg said he would hold the boots for a few days until I could make a decision. It was no contest. The product, the price, the customer service from Greg made it a no-brainer. I was back the next week to give them a final try on and make the purchase. It was a great experience all around. She helped me and my friend get properly fitted for ski helmets and goggles. She also helped us find other ancillary ski equipment, e.g. pants, socks, etc. The store was really busy as it was a Saturday, but Marissa stayed with us the whole time to make sure our shopping lists were completed. Yesterday, I went to the store to buy a new pair of skis and boots. I left the store happy with the best new items! Lee was very helpful and knew exactly what he is talking about. He spent a lot of time explaining and finding the perfect items that would be the best fit for me. Bait and switch. First off, the high school kid working the ski area was awesome. He's doing his job. But when you call and they say they have plenty of inventory, that should be the case. We did the yearly rental (to bad SA is gone) and this seemed like a good deal. But no, we don't have your 5th grade kids size so you have to get new boots. When asked to see if they could honor the used price, the manager hides behind a teenager to share the news of "no." Then you charge more to make sure the bindings are adjusted? I'm pretty sure that's part of the rental fee anywhere else. I will never buy anything else at this store. Even SA would have been a little flexible and made a tiny concession. And they didn't nickel and dime you to death. read more

They are super rude over the phone. I ended up going to Christy sports for gear. They don't answer any questions, they are dismissive over the phone. Called Christy sports and they spent 20 minutes on the phone with me about wh that they have in stock so I didn't waste my time going into the store. Epic is rude. read more

I have to say that is the first time I have received a response so not only surprised but happy that my feedback was not being wasted on a simple tirade. Just bought a new Nike driver from CO Ski & Golf. The sales associate, Bill, was quite knowledgeable about the different clubs, and suggested a specific shaft based on my swing. He even gave me a few pointers to help straighten out my drives. He helped me for about 45 minutes during their biggest ski sale of the year. He was clearly busy, but never made me feel rushed. I bought Skis, Boots, Poles, and bindings. The salesman Brad Paris, deserves recognition. I used to sell all this many years ago. Brad is a gem. He is knowledgeable and understands the skis and bindings extremely well. He excels at boot fitting. Understand that boots are sometimes easy to fit and sometimes difficult. I have been hard to fit. Not his fault, but I am very demanding on fit. I understand it takes trips, not just slam dunk your done. Brad has been precise and does it appropriately. We don't rush. It is trial and error until it is zeroed in. He has the skill and the patience to make it work. He is experienced in equipment and based on his background, he knows how to ski. Consider him if you go to the shop. I have purchased from Colorado Ski and Golf previously so call me a regular. read more

Was having some issues with my boots. Stopped in to get a bit of work done. KC a manager i think took me his boot guy Zach. Zach took incredible care of me! Asked great questions to get to the bottom of the issue and then figured out what was needed. Did the work in 2 less days thank I was quoted! Came to check out the infamous Ski Rex sale, parking was a nightmare but once you were in it was smooth sailing. Big kudos to XANDER MANN for helping me at checkout, he was awesome and very tentative (will definitely have to stop by your shop in Breck when we make our way up there). I've been here several times for various services and it's always a different experience. When I enrolled my son in the junior trade program last year, the gentleman who helped us was very friendly and professional. Yesterday we went in to buy my husband some new ski boots and get some help with mine that need some adjusting. We stood in the line that said "wait here" by the boots and were ignored for about 20 minutes. I was okay with that because the two guys fitting boots seemed busy and focused. When one of the guys was finished he asked if he could help us and I told him why we were there. He sighed, said nothing and walked away. He came back 5 minutes later and asked us if we had an appointment and I said no and asked if we needed one. He said "I don't know but you can make one.". Then he walked away again never to be seen again. About 5 more minutes passed and another guy who was very friendly, said that it would be best to make an appointment. I'm happy to make an appointment and understand with Covid, that it's necessary, but someone could've told us that from the beginning and we could've avoided a 30 minute waste of time. There are other, more professional and organized places to get ski stuff. read more

My sister went in for a specialized boot fitting, she was planning to use a pair of boots that she bought at Ski Rex. Unfortunately we found out that they were too big, and we got misdirected in the chaos of the sale. However we received outstanding service from Roger, in the boot fitting department. He was efficient and fast, he completed the molding and fitting process in under an hour and he was extremely friendly and easy to talk to. Exceptional Customer Service! We are new residents of Colorado and have been into Colorado Ski & Sport a dozen times this season. They did an exceptional job assisting my husband with his skis and ski clothing earlier in the season. I rented my skis 5 times this season, and that is the only area of the shop that needs some assistance. There was always a wait to rent and drop-off skis. Each tie I rented was a Thursday evening and drop-off Friday afternoon. I recently bought skis, boots, etc and enjoyed a great experience with the knowledge, patience and recommendations of the staff. They even recommended the skis that were on sale... This is definitely my store for all future ski needs.....P.S. you can buy your ski passes there as well. read more

This store and its staff rock! I had the best experience buying ski equipment at the Ski Rex sale. I visited the store on Tuesday before the sale and Dirk gave me a "Ski 101" overview of everything I needed to start downhill skiing again after a long hiatus. When I walked into the store today, he spotted me across the room and started collecting all of the equipment I had chosen on Tuesday. Frankly, he is the best salesperson I've ever met--knowledgeable, listened to my needs, and fun! --The rest of the staff I met were also friendly and helpful. Just wanted to share the great experience I had with John, who helped me get new ski boots (properly fit!) and a couple jackets and my son a complete new ski set-up. He was great and very patient. Didn't rush us at all and took his time to make sure everything we bought was the right size and would perform the way we needed it to. So I went to the one in Arvada last year and got all my snowboarding equipment. I had a great experience with but this location and staff were terrible. As a member you got a email saying you could shop a day early before the general public. I got off a flight and didn't want to fight traffic going back out to Aurora at rush hour, so I drove about 45 min out of my way and got there around 3:30. When I got there and asked about the sale the representative was nice and said he would ask his boss about what to do since the tent wasn't open. The manager looked at me and said, "The email was poorly worded. I told our Marketing team but I can't let you in the tent." So I totally understand that and I also can't believe that no attempt was made to rectify the situation. For example, giving a coupon to use (even for $5 after the sale) or at least apologizing. I can't believe the company, which didn't list the time of the VIP sale in the email didn't account for or expect folks to come in early and how to handle that. When I was a little irritated saying I couldn't come back that night and that I drove out of my way, the manager said, "I can't help you. The sale lasts for 2 weeks. Come back then." I was planning on doing a lot of Pre-season ski shopping but after this experience, I'll be taking all my business to REI, where they treat customers and their time with respect and communicate better. read more

Purchased boots and bindings for the first time this year. Have to say the staff, for the most part, is well informed and always happy to share their knowledge. They don't push products you don't want, so this is very much appreciated as well.
