I came here to buy new ski boots during the Ski Rex weekend. The place was packed, and there was hardly anywhere to park. However, once parked the service was decent given the huge amount of people there. I was looking for new boots - and unfortunately I knew nothing about brands or styles or any of that. All I knew was that I needed stiffer ones. It took about three minutes of standing around to get help, but after that I had tried on five pairs of boots, purchased one and socks, and was back in my car in about 35min. That is pretty good service. I love the boots so far - and I appreciated the salesman being frank about finding boots at a reasonable price. BWhile CS&G has a great selection of merchandise and it has good sales deals throughout the year, the customer service is wildly inconsistent​. I had a Soloman snowboard boots with the boa binding break. It was covered by warranty bit when I called CS&G they told me they couldn't​ help me out and that I'd have to work directly with Solomon. After a month of deal with Solomon they told me they'd honor the warranty but that I'd have to go back to CS&G to have them do it. I finally was able to make it back to CS&G to learn that from the get go I could have simply exchanged my boots out. Had this information been conveyed to me in the first place, it would have saved me a lot of time dealing with Solomon not to mention I was forced to use my old worn out boots for the entire month. Not to mention the now multiple trips to CS&G to get this sorted out. Very frustrating. ##Update CA&G exchanged my boots for a new pair without a hassle. read more

Went in for Ski pants, helmet and goggles. Dave spent over an hour with me going over everything and trying to find the right fit. He was great. Paul (believe is his name)- helped me the next day pick out goggles. Both guys were great and offered superior expertise to REI and Christy's down the street- I went to all three to price match. Also, the selection was much more vast here then the other two. Lastly- I bought custom boots. Soren was very knowledgeable and always took care of me (even after I came in 10 times for readjustments). They never seem annoyed and really seemed to care. I most recently was riddled with anxiety over a pair of ski boots I needed to return... the big problem I paid cash and didn't have a reciept and it was outside of their return policy.... Over the past month I made friends with Jeremy and JD who really worked with me, going in and tracking down my reciept in the computer, and even ordered a size in for me. I am thoroughly impressed, & satisfied with my purchase and the excellent service I received at Colorado Ski & Golf. These are the guys to talk to about ski boots. I dealt with Mason at the Arvada location & Zac at the Aurora location, in same week. They have by far the largest selection of boots I have seen out of the 6-7 ski shops (between MI & CO) and a dozen different brands that I tracked down and tried on in my size 27.5, before finally purchasing the Solomon Xpro 90. $368 Best deal around, to boot. Mason was very helpful, knowledgable, and made me feel comfortable with my personal ability and the boot being able to progress with me. I left happy and ready to rip! After a couple runs at Echo Friday and a couple more at keystone Saturday, my left foot was pretty much numb both days, the liner was very tight and compressing a nerve somewhere. I was determined to go back to a larger size boot. (I had been skiing in a 28.5 for first 2 years) I initially wanted to exchange for a bigger size, and be on my merry way. Zac confidently and calmly started to ask me questions about my skiing and experiences. I answered honestly and he convinced me to let him do some boot work on the 27.5's. He looked over my bare feet, added some pads to necessary areas, heated the shells and liners up, and we spent about 20 minutes molding them. It was painless and it's a pretty darn good fit now! The next day I went to Abasin. After a couple runs, I took some time inside to fine tune my buckles and I skied the for the rest of day. Atleast 4 hours without any numbness, tingling, pain or problems. It was totally awesome! Pow-Pow Ka Chow!! Unfortunately I had to come home to Michigan the next day :( I already have 2 more trips planned to keep those new Solomons on the slopes. I have also yet to purchase footbeds ($170), I will most likely be visiting one of these fine gentleman for those in the near future. I knew I couldn't make this short & sweet. Good Covid measures. We have been there multiple times and the staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. From ski fitting to adjustments they do in the back to making good ski mittens recommendations. I did get rushed responses on the phone there but I think they are just swamped during Covid. You always hear about the crowds at Ski Rex and so I went with a bit of trepidation- I needed new ski boots and I didn't want to be rushed into my decision. Well, I really lucked out. Zac Lindsey greeted me immediately and did a great job of evaluating my needs with a series of questions that got me to really think about what would work best for me. Went for Ski Rex this year with the fear of chaos and horrible service. Somehow this establishment surprises you with quality and knowledgable staff. They even have reps from Smith Optics, Giru, and various other companies demonstrating their product knowledge for you during this time. The chaos was organized and I've never felt more aided in my selection with no pressure to buy. Was in the market for a new snowboard and was pleased. Can't say much for their golf equipment since I didn't venture to that area but if it matches their ski equipment then I can't imagine a place topping this one. read more

This place is decently sized and they have a lot of great, well, ski and golf stuff. I am a snowboarding and enjoy park, their selection of snowboard gear is alright. The sales that they have at the beginning of each season is good to visit, always lots of stuff on sale and well priced. In general, just an alright place. their other location down south in Park Meadows Mall is huge but the selection doesn't seem to be bigger. I normally shop online and hope to find that same gear here but usually I won't be able to find it, and if I do, it is more expensive here at the store. This is easily my favorite place to go get geared up for my snowboarding season. Half of the store is stocked with golf items (with more than half during the summer) and the other half is stocked with ski and snowboard items. (with more than half during the winter) I've never shopped the golf stuff here, so my review is based solely on the snow sports, and in particular snowboarding gear. They have easily the most knowledgable staff I've ever shopped with. They also offer full tuning capabilities. They have a big tent sale as well that starts on Labor Day, competing with Sniagrab. If you want to go see weird colors and sizes for mediocre clothes, visit Sniagrab. If you want to get good snow clothing in your size in something that's not a "hot" whatever color, check these guys out. Unfortunately, they don't carry my snowboard brand: Never Summer, which could result in a star off, but the service there more than makes up for it. I just have to buy my sticks elsewhere. read more

BEWARE! Went to this shop for many years until I realized they are terrible and I cannot entrust them with my gear/safety. A couple of years ago, I had a pair of new Legend Pro 105s mounted up with Rossi FKS 140 bindings. Since we had a child after buying the skis these didn't get a ton of use...maybe 20 days. Fast forward to 2018...I had an offer to buy the skis, so I removed the bindings. What I found was that the back two binding screws on both skis were not drilled directly into the ski core, rather, there were two brass inserts in each ski. All other holes were properly drilled directly into the ski. Furthermore one of the brass inserts was spinning in the too large hole they drilled and multiple screws were loose on each binding because they were stripped. I think what happened was that they screwed up the mounting by drilling too big a hole, then tried to cover up their mistake by drilling a bigger hole and then putting the brass inserts in. Worst of all, they did not tell me they messed up the binding mount. I'm so glad I discovered this because the ski was unsafe...never had this issue with any of the skis I've owned. NEVER have them mount skis for you. To top it off, the buyer backed out of the sale after seeing the damage. Next example was a pair of high end Lange Freeride 130 boots I bought from them. I spent two + seasons going back to their "boot fitters" and they couldn't get the punches they made to "stick". Their boot fitters said the plastic used in the boot was just too stiff and after they made their punches, the plastic rebounded somewhat making the punch less effective. They just could not get the job done after 8 or so visits. Total waste of my time. NEVER have them do boot work for you...it's free with the purchase but as I've learned you get what you pay for. Earlier this year I discovered a real boot fitter off of S. Broadway, these guys took a bunch of measurements of my foot, marked the inside of the boot extensively and they got reserve pair of boots (a 2nd pair of Lange Freeride 130s, same size) to a point where the boots were comfortable after just one boot fitting session despite a race fit. While no-one should expect a boot to fit perfectly after one session, the difference compared to Ski & Golf was night and day. This boot fitter was not free, but again, you get what you pay for. read more

Entire staff is very friendly and helpful. I bought a pair of skis for the 2018-2019 season from one of the other epic locations. I had some issues with the skis and initially was told there was nothing they could do. I walked into the aurora location looking for new skis. Colorado Ski and Golf is everything you would expect based on the title. But in Fact CS&G is much more because it is the place front rangers have been buying their ski + snowboard gear for ages. I have certainly been trough the ages here.... My first yearly seasonal rentals, beanies starting at 13, snowboard gear at 14, and bindings, boards... whatev. u need-- they got it. Also, large. Abundant. One thing I like about CSG is that they carry local snowboards like Unity, which are thrilling. Golf supplies abound in the summer--if you are into that. read more

I went here two weeks ago looking for used skis. I am not docking them points b/c of their selection, they cannot control that. What was annoying to me was that I told the sales person 3 times that I wanted to get skis before this season ended and he kept bringing up how Ski Rex was the best time to buy. I appreciate that he was trying to get me a deal but he was not listening to me. Maybe he was more of a golf guy. He did not seem interested in selling me ski stuff. Also, it took me a while to get someone to help me. On the plus side, they are a big ski shop that seems to have a lot of new equipment. For price and selection Colorado Ski and Golf is a great place if you just want to buy equipment. Unfortunately when I took mine and my wife's snowboards in to get tuned for the season, I was told they would be ready in half an hour. Long story short, it took over three hours for them to be ready. Had I know it would take so long, I would have gone home, but their dishonesty wasted a lot of my time. I say dishonesty because every time I asked how much longer, they they would tell me just 15 more minutes. Lame! read more

I just purchased a pair of skis and bindings and was very impressed with the service here. While initially I had some reservations (waited in the ski department for about 10 mon before I had to seek out help and the person I talked to said they knew nothing about skis, which I found mildly alarming given that they specialize in skis/snowboarding), I walked away with an awesome and greatly discounted pair of skis. I was looking for an upgrade to my previous skis and the guy who helped was very knowledgeable about things I should look for, stay away from, etc. He walked me through the different types of skis and asked a lot of questions about style, speed, and what I wanted from my downhill skiing. I actually leanrned quite a bit here. In addition, unlike most places I've been to get skis and boots serviced, they were able to work on my gear immediately and were finished in 20 minutes! She measured my feet and brought out pair after pair of boots until I was happy with fit/flex/color, etc. She was knowledgable and fun to chat with. My girlfriend and I needed new ski boots each, and knew very little about what we were looking for. We worked with w/ a sales associate, Bradley, for nearly an hour, trying on pair after pair after pair until we both found ones that worked. Bradley was patient, respectful of our ski boot ignorance, and was an absolute gem to work with. He had all the answers. Bradley is one of the rare true Colorado natives left in this state, and was likely born w/ ski boots on his feet. I'm sure he was shredding double black diamonds by the ripe age of 8 months. I brought my ski's in to get looked after breaking a binding last year. I was hoping they would be able to fix it but was expecting to have them replaced. Jordan in the ski shop was able to fix it with a spare part and no charge...so cool.
