This is my place to go! However there's only a few people who will achieve what expected. Katie and Joyce are the queens there, they are both awesome and will do a great job, seriously they will do anything you want. Alternatives will be Dee and Michael. Also for pedicures Leslie is the best there. Overall is a bit rude service from the owner I think but I guess is on their nature to be like that . Not too many nail salons are open on Sundays out here in SF but this one was and also took walk ins. I waited maybe 10 min, which was not bad. This spot looked a little sketch, found myself wondering if they even sterilize their instruments. I'm gonna start with the positive. The woman doing my nails paid real close attention to my nails, almost trying to perfect the nail polish for each nail. I was happy with that. But they dont use any of the electronic nail files (what ever they are called) while doing my gel manicure. The woman used a jumbo nail file to do all of my filing. Super rough and kept scraping my actual fingers with the file. I dont have to tell you how painful that was. I'm happy with my nails. She did a really good job. But perhaps throw away the jumbo nail files people. read more

This place has the worst customer service. Went in for a pedicure and asked to have my toenails cut on the sides. The young girl did not speak English and asked another lady to translate. The lady tells me that they don't remove ingrowns and I need to go see my Podiatrist. I was stocked, and got very angry. I than ask why they did not have this posted. If I could give this place ZERO I would. Long story short I came in for a pedicure. Rather than use nail polish remover she decided to use the drill. While doing so she snapped my nail!!! She assured me she can fix it with acrylic. I assumed she would use a form and fix it but no she applied the acrylic directly to my skin. I kept telling her to stop and I did not want it. She finally listened and began to remove it with Nippers! She pulled the skin and I kept saying please stop it hurts. Can you soak it off. She said no hold still. Finally the owner came over and she told him I came in with a broken nail. I then told him I did not and that she snapped it while using the drill. He told her to stop and let my foot go. As I got up to leave the owner nor her apologized or try to "fix" what they did. I'll never come here again and highly suggest if you're reading this you don't either. Rude people and unprofessional! I've had the worse experience there. I made an appointment at 6:15 to go in and get a gel manicure ( I believe her name is Nicky, she's the only one that does gel manicure) she had me soak my nails in acetone for over 30 minutes while she was helping another girl. Around 7:15 I asked her how long she was going to be because I made an appointment at 6:15. She gave me attitude and said 40 minutes. I told her I couldn't wait that long and I've been here for over an hour. She said well if you make an appointment doesn't mean we're going to help you right away. I completely understand that it won't be right away but if you make an appointment it shouldn't be over an hour wait to be helped. I told her to just cut my nails and file them and I'll make an appointment Saturday. She cut them and said she refuses to help me again and to go to Katy and walked away! I went to the front desk and the owner turns his back to me and after a couple of minutes turns to me and says what do you want? I told him I need to make an appointment with Katy for organic gel because Nicky won't help me anymore. He told me that she doesn't know how to do it and she won't be available. First time here and i have a love/hate feel for this spot. So real quick: *I dislike how messy the station was, i felt like it gets cleaned once in a blue moon witch makes me question how sanitary everything really is. Im sure each station might be just as dirty and unsanitary. Its not a place where you can get relaxed thats for sure! The one day i went, half the staff were sitting in the pedicure lounge chairs eating their lunch (crumbs landing everywhere) chatting up without a care in the world. The guy who did my nails was fast with his work! I got a fill, a broken nail fixed, and 4leopard designs made on 4fingers in right under an hour! My nails have a nice thin feel, he did everything i expected him to do and I'm really satisfied with the results! BOTTOM LINE: whenever i need a quick fix i will definitely go back to Epic Nails! Not only is the artwork amazing, but the quality of the nails alone is so much better than any place I've gone to before. They withstand my workouts at the gym.. They did a good job on my full set and pedicure, but service is terrible! My friend and I arrived around noon. I was getting the full set and pedicure and she was getting a fill. I was seated right away because they had manicurist available to do my pedicure. My friend waited almost an hour before she was even acknowledged. There were several people that came after us and they received service before she did. So that was already a red flag to us. Plus, they charge a dollar for the disposable sandals! I've never been to a salon where they charge for the sandals. They usually come complimentary. My friend brought her own matte nail polish, and they were going to charge her for wanting her nails matte. ???? That makes no sense at all. The manicurist said it was because they need to make money some how. ???? I don't understand that logic when my friend was providing the polish, and applying matte polish would be the same procedure as applying top coat. They also charged me $7 to get my daughter nails polished. She's 3 years old. They didn't trim her nails or anything. Just polish. I usually get that service done for free, or ogre places would maybe charge $4 (which I've paid before), but never $7!! The place was also dirty and reeked of Asian food. The smell of chemicals with food isn't very pleasant. I'm giving them 2 stars simply because if I wasn't happy with my nails, they would have received 1 or if possible, maybe none.
