This was the worst experience I have ever had at a nail salon. I went in to get just a regular pedicure and had already taken off the nail polish before I went in for my appointment. The person doing my pedicure was the owner and she was very rude the entire time. She kept insisting I get a gel pedicure and did not want to put French tips on my toes. She kept telling me she wouldn't do it unless I got a gel pedicure. I finally just gave up and got a regular solid color nail polish. (I don't like gel nail polish on my toes.)The sign displayed said that a regular pedicure was $25 and the owner was charging me $35. When I asked why I was being up charged she was rude and kept yelling at me in another language. The other nail technicians were also yelling and I couldn't understand what was being said about me. I'm a very shy person and I don't like confrontation but the way I was treated here caused me to have a panic attack. I will not be returning here. I suggest saving your money and skipping this nail salon altogether. And give your business to a place that will treat you with basic kindness. read more

I used to love Epic Nails. I hadn't gone in a couple months until today. I walked out of there disappointed. Leslie did my full set and they're just sloppy. I asked for coffin but they're more squared than coffin. My cuticles are red from how harsh she was. I have 4 cuts. While my nails were drying I noticed the nail polish wasn't even. It's hard to get a picture but the nail polish strokes are noticeable. I told her but all she did was put that last clear coat again and it did nothing but she insisted it was fixed. She charged me $30 before she painted them and I left her a $5 tip. If I would have waited until the end to tip I wouldn't have given her any. I feel like because they were busy she wanted to get it done fast and just did a sloppy job. I'm so disappointed. I don't think I'll be going back. read more

came here for the first time 18 days ago (5-11-2017) i had called ahead of time for an appointment.i asked for kim . they told me to come it at 10:30 . thankfully she had no appointments at that time it was super busy i sat down waited about 5 minutes for kim to start doing my full set if it was busy when i got there it got worse within the next 20 minutes so i recommend anyone who comes in to call and make an appointment in advance if not you will i repeat you will wait over 30+minutes to get what you need done . keep in mind there will be other people there ahead of you . anyways kim did a great job on my ombré nails . i loved them a bit pricey ($61 to be exact not including tip ) it was a full set pink and white ombré with swarovski crystals. the i cant give epic nails 5 stars because the customer service was trash kim did do a great job but she didnt speak to me much and she was very aggressive when holding hand as she dis my nails . tbh and the end of it all she did a kick ass job will i recommend epic nails ? yes will i go back? mmm yup can they improve the customer service.? yes! need alotta work but again kim did an amazing job still getting compliments on my nails till this day :) read more

I like to be loyal to my nail shops so I hope I keep loving this place. I used to go across the street but they became rude and tried to get you out asap. This place, however, is great so far. I've been here twice. I really like how their pedi chairs are set up. Everything is so convenient for them to be able to service you in a relaxing way. They wrap your hands in a warm towel and place it in a bag to soak. They're very careful with your nail color and caring for your cuticles. Idk how to explain it lol but I like their service. Talk about bad service. Not only is this place dirty and unsanitary. When I asked if they only used acetone to remove polish she got upset there is such thing as non acetone remover. Yes I'm allergic to pure acetone. She stated well I am not going to wash my brush for you ok... You get what you pay for. Sure its affordable but they lack in customer service a lot! I've notice that when getting a pedicure is you say yes to a sugar scrub or yes to a callus remover treatment, they sort of forget about the actual pedicure. So instead they do a very light and fast pedi and concentrate on the other stuff. I also got a manicure and honestly it was not the best, I got home and noticed I still had some rough skin around my nails. Overall if you need an emergency place to go and get service go for it but like I said you get what you pay for. read more

Those of you who have been to Nail Laque Bar, Epic can do the same designs for nearly 1/2 the price. Gel manicures always last at least 2 weeks & never chip, they also can do amazing nail art with gel. The majors downfalls about this salon is that it is extremely old and dirty, I'm pretty sure they don't sanitize their tools,the staff is not friendly at all, there are no massage chairs & you always have to wait a long time before you are seated, one time I literally waited one hour for my pedicure and they will keep telling you only 10 more minutes. The last time I paid $50 for a full set of 3d acrylic nails, my manicurist was impatient & rude but when she realized I added $10 tip she was all of a sudden nice to me....LOL! If you are looking to get spoiled & pampered this is not the place, go to Soak Nails in Encino(no other chairs like it in the Valley). Went in for a full set of acrylics with a simple black tip. I had Michael work on my nails & honestly since it was my first visit here I was skeptical of a male doing my nails but he did a quick and fantastic job. He is great at his craft and it was only $25 plus tip. I didn't give this place a full 5 stars because I had a Monday 10:30AM appointment and no one even showed up to open shop until about 10:45AM. I suggest that if you are making a morning appointment to push it back until 11AM. read more
