Was really reluctant to visit this place because of all the negative reviews but wanted to go somewhere fun and close to home. Took my 15 year old niece, 12 year old nephew, 7 year old daughter and hubby and they all had fun especially my 7 year old and that's all that matters to me. They place is clean and there were plenty of sofas to sit (I had my 1 year old with me). Bathrooms were clean and so was the skating rink itself. Prices aren't so bad so don't know what the problem is. Would definitely be going back!! I'm glad I didn't listen to all the negative reviews! read more

Wow, what a great facility, clean environment and lots to do. RINK: perhaps not the largest rink I've skated on but a good size rink with a cool large screen projector playing music videos topped with an amazing sound and lighting system. Wasn't too crowded when I was there, I think the crowds have lighted up due to the hype of opening in late Dec. FOOD: great menu, serving Pizza, Salads, Hot dogs, Chicken, Nachos, Desserts, Beer & Wine just to name a few item's had the Pizza and it was very good. The line moved quickly and service was friendly. RETAIL STORE: cool little store, they sell skates and skate accessories, socks, cloths and other items. I haven't seen this at other skating rinks...loved it. ARCADE: I saw the kids really liked this area, they have numerous games and are tucked in the rear or the facility near the party zone. They have a pretty cool redemption counter to cash in you points. FRIENDSHIP PARK: wasn't sure what this was about so I asked an employee, she informed me that parents may leave the little kids who are supervised by staff for a small fee, this way the parents and older kids may enjoy skating...cool concept! PARTY ZONE: there are several party areas to host birthday parties and I'm sure other festive event's, saw a couple private Party rooms. OTHER: they have lockers for .75 cents and an ATM machine should one need additional funds. Overall I was very impressed with the facility, I especially liked the detailed art work throughout the rink. Staff was helpful and friendly, I will go back, very interested in checking out their Adult Skate session. Our community needed something like this...thanks. read more

I agree 100% with Megan. I was at the same party This is a new business so they can improve One other issue which I would fix is that when we finally got the skates on the 7 year olds - no easy task - most Moms would know they brought the food before the kids could even skate. You then had to take the skates of 15 kids which I totally understand as a safety issue but it didn't make sense. Usually at these party places the food comes at the end. Kids were mad and parents were frustrated. We need places like this in Murrieta so I am hoping management hears the issues. They can be fixed. read more

To start with this is defiantly a fun place for the kids and myself. But something that may keep me and my family from going as much is that you have to pay to just get in. STUPID. so basically if my kids want to skate and I don't, I have to pay to sit and watch out for my kids and supervise them. First of all the only thing I'm using there is a chair to sit in. So your telling me that I have to play flipping 7 dollars for that. Also one of the workers were extremely rude to me because I was confused about paying 7 dollars for my self and and 3 kids to get in. so 28 dollars to get in not even including skate rental prices. read more

Fun times. Glad to have a new place to go for a few hours. Nice new/remodeled facility. Rink is small. Went during the Sunday evening adult session. Liked the DJ and music choices. Some people were line-dancing in the middle. Might be fun to implement a little more of that on the rink's part (organize a few line dances). Suggest the rink consider making official entrances and exits for skaters. Seems skaters should not enter and exit via the same path, as it gets a little congested crossing paths. read more

Hubby and I took our small children to Epic last night. I don't know who had more fun, the hubby or kiddos?! The atmosphere is really neat, employees super friendly and although there was a line, it goes by very fast. We hope they will come through with a monthly unlimited pass as we plan to come often. Good quality family fun that doesn't break the bank. Plus they sell beer for the adults- who would've thought! Only concern I have about the place is them having concrete sides around the rink instead of some sort of padding as well as no carpeting as you exit the rink. There were a lot of falls when people would be coming out and I think having a rug or something would eliminate this. But surely a great place and we thank the owners for bringing a wonderful place to Murrieta! read more

We went here for their advertised family night. It's a good value for $40. It includes 4 skaters, rentals, a pizza, and 4 drinks. The staff at the concession stand was very friendly and helpful. They delivered our pizza to where we were sitting and they were even happy to help clean up a mess we made. I agree with previous reviews that the music videos played were totally inappropriate, especially for FAMILY night. They showed people making out, girls in skimpy outfits, and inappropriate dance videos. I would have liked it if they kept the videos G rated at least for family night. It wasn't something I wanted my kids to be watching for 3 hours while they were skating. The kids also didn't like the pizza, they refused to eat it which is rare for them. Also, there are no refills on sodas. The girl who was working the register was wearing a revealing tank top and didn't smile at us once. She probably shouldn't be working in customer service if she hates her job as much as her face said she did. Other than the few issues, the rink was nice and the kids had fun skating. read more

Epic is an amazing business with fantastic staff. The facility is clean, the parties my kids and I have attended here were great as well. The options of having adult skates, roller fitness classes, and skate lessons are hard to find anywhere else in SoCal. I will continue to skate at Epic frequently and I enjoy bringing my kids here as well. read more

This place is fun, however the people that work there are not that nice. The DJ who plays the music does requests and a lot of the people who are skating go up to him and request and song and so he plays it for them but when i went to go request a song he was very rude and told me that he already had a playlist going even though people were going up there and requesting songs and he played the song for them. The song i requested wasn't inappropriate at all. When i first started skating with my friends they songs that were playing were cool and had a nice beat to them so it kept me in the mood to skate but as time went on the songs that were playing were not good at all and didn't have a nice beat to them at all. I went up to my friend and told her what about this and she agreed with me. The food here isn't good at all. Very bland. I do enjoy skating here though, but once when I fell,a skating employee went up to me and I thought he was going to help me up but he just stood there and did nothing. If this is your first time skating this is the place! The owners and employees have gone above and beyond to make sure this is the place to be. The best rental equip, perfect wood rink,sound system,decor, by far the best pizza in So Cal, and if your an adult you can drink here. DO NOT BOOK YOUR CHILD'S PARTY HERE! The manager, Michelle, was late opening the establishment so the party room was not set up--at all! Guess the line at Starbucks was too long because she had a nice cup of coffee in her hand as she arrived LATE. When I asked to enter the party room, 20 minutes prior to the party to place down our melting cake and party gifts, she told us to go back to our car. We were invited in by another staff member 3 minutes later. Such a joke! My husband and I had to set up the chairs and spruce up the room 10 minutes before my child's party started. The food wasn't delivered all at once. Drink pitchers were empty half of the time. Party hosts, who tried their best, were so unorganized that parents and I were serving the children their food and pouring their drinks. The cake was lit and set in front of my daughter. We all sat there waiting for the party hosts to get the room's attention so we could sing. Nope. They just walked away. So, once again, we stepped in and ran the show. I have about 5 photos of the event because I was basically an Epic employee the whole day. I didn't get to eat or enjoy our guests. For $800, I expected much more! Don't waste your money. Poor customer service!!! I had purchased a deal palooza which was basically a buy one get one free, when I arrived to use my deal palooza, which was 1 day away from expiring, I was informed that it wasn't good on Friday's. I had no problem with this, as it was clearly stated on my deal palooza. I then asked since it was expiring anyway could I just use it as a credit for the face value price of $9? This is standard procedure with an expired deal palooza. I was informed that they would only honor the face value once it expired, which was one day away. I can't figure out any logical reason for not allowing me to use it at face value one day before expiration. I wasn't asking for any anything that I won't be entitled to tomorrow. Ridiculous!!! Also, it was only $6 to get in today, and I explained I wasn't looking for money back and I would still pay for the skate rental. Obviously this is an example of another business being run with no common sense. O'well, I took my money next door and gave it to Aero Sports Trampoline Park. A group of moms brought our kids ages 6-12. We were so excited to check out this new "family place". What caught my attention from the get go was how weakly they enforce the rules. We'll what do you expect if the 2 "skater patrols" in the ring are so young they are not paying attention. Yes is a bit crowded and many skaters are beginners which is unfortunate when more advanced skaters are there skating backwards and end up causing accidents for not paying attention. Like I said these young kids that are there to patrol are not doing a good job. I saw an older man run over one child with his skates, hit another child with his hand and falling over a lady with her son and none of that was caught by any of the staff there. It is very unfortunate because people go there to have fun not to get hurt. For the price that you pay to go there they should hire more staff and definitely avoid more accidents to happen. read more

I was very excited to hear that someone was taking a chance in this economy to open a roller-skating rink to allow family's of all ages to do something together.. we need more family oriented places like this. I must admit after reading some of the reviews I was a bit reluctant to go but decided to take a chance, and I'm so glad I did!! After taking 6 preteen girls and watching them laugh together, skate together and just have fun I was a bit confused why anyone would give Epic a bad review. Quite frankly I'm very disappointed at some of the criticisms directed at a company that's offering activities family's can do together. I've read comments that the rink was small... well it looks like they made it as large as they possibly could given the building size which was pretty big. I've read the price was too high... I would never expect not to pay the price I was charged for all they offer. They had games, an amazing atmosphere, great music, a fun food truck inside with a great food selection and everything was clean and maintained at a very economical price. I've read there were inexperienced skaters on the floor that were in the way... (rolling my eyes here) if you're experienced you should have no problem skating around them.. I didn't! I've read the rink was too crowded... The day I was there they were sold out and the girls nor I had any problems with the amount of people on the rink having fun. My recommendation for anyone wanting to have fun skating, laugh and be treated great by the staff is to go. I understand there are always situations where people aren't courteous in such a popular place and maybe expectations are too high but we had a GREAT time and will return first chance we get. read more

Well, I was excited to hear that a roller skating rink would be opening in our area so my kids could learn how to skate like I did when I was a kid. This place though, is wayyyy too small. Not only is it too small, the dj sucks, the staff members are rude, I mean my kids are just learning to skate so they hang out on the wall, they were there for a second before some idiot staff asks them to move! They were trying to move! The poles in the middle along with the dj booth makes it impossible to do anything. This place could have been soo much better but its not, its a place where only little tikes should go. We went on a weekend and it was so crowded you couldn't skate without bumping into someone. Lets talk about price...over $8 to skate for 21/2 hours..really! I took the advice from one of the reviewers that said Cal Skate Grand Terrace was better so I took my kids there. They had the best time for half the price and it's huge and they have these walker things to assist beginners with skating. I won't go back to epic! read more

Made the drive from Escondido and was pleasantly surprised by this facility. My 14-year-old daughter and her friend had never been roller skating before, and weren't too sure they wanted to go. But by the end of the session, they were converts and didn't want to leave! Food is reasonably priced for this type of venue, and offers some new choices, along with typical fare. Rink was clean and we liked the nice quality wood floor. As I was skating, my axle came loose and I took it right over to Zach at the counter, who fixed it for me on the spot! He also checked my other skate and told me that it looked like I needed new ball bearings. I asked if they had them for sale there, he said that they did carry them, and again, got them installed for me right then and there. I found all of the staff to be very personable (Karen, Angela), and the DJ was responsive and played my 2 requests. Everything seemed to be orderly and well-run, and people were definitely having fun. We'll be back for sure! read more
