Been in this location a handful of times and most of them were very good. Epic wings I would say is one of the consistent restaurant when it comes to the taste and size of their wings no matter where you go. Unfortunately my last visit was a total disappointment. Right off the moment we recieved our order it was very noticebale the size of the wings were extremely small and shrunk. I immediately let the cashier know and she sent the assistant manager Josh. First off in handling dissatisfied customer is to just apologize for the inconvenience but instead we get an excuse. "We ran out of wings and had to order to a different supplier" If that was the case then acknowledge the shortcoming and make it right. I asked to get a replacement of tenders and instead he took our meal while we are in the middle of dinner and told us to wait again while they prepare the replacement. Training is very crucial in handling customer relations. The right thing to do was to let your customer keep the meal since you acknowledged that you didn't deliver the product you're supposed to and make it right by offering a replacement. We ended up asking for a refund and the assistant manager Josh proudly refunded my money as if he just delivered the best service of his life. No apologies. Nevertheless, Im sure this was a training issue. Pls train your people to be ethical and considerate when dealing with your loyal customers. I ordered the 5 piece chicken wing combo deal with a side of rice for under $20. I love their fresh fried crispy wings with their buttery lemon pepper sauce. I recommend to order a side of mango habanero sauce to dip your breadsticks and wings in 10/10 fire combo. I love Epic Wings for their breadsticks. The night I visted it was lowkey over baked and not shiny, buttery, steamy or soft like other Epic locations. I came to the Mira Mesa one because a friend remembered their breadsticks use to be the best. I'll just have to visit another day to see if it will hit. We have been ordering from this restaurant since the early 2000s. This is my husband's favorite wings. We have tried a few of the wing chains but Epic Wings is the best for him. In the past we usually order more buffalo mild wings but this time I ordered just enough for one dinner. He also loves their carrots with ranch dressing and bread. Their wings are usually good if you eat them the same day. If you have leftovers and eat the next day then they get too greasy. Service was fine since you just order from the counter, you get a number and they deliver the food to your table. It's not a fancy restaurant but it was clean and there were TVs to watch some sports. My good friend and I came in here for dinner on a Monday night. At first I was saddened that we don't have our neighborhood wings n things anymore, but epic wings is pretty similar. There's lots of seating inside with large TV's to watch games or whatever. It's located in the plaza with Bank of America, best pizza & brew, pho cow cali, etc. Staff is really nice and helpful, their app is ok. Sometimes it's difficult to order on the app, so I end up just going to the store to order and waiting about 15-20mins for the food. I would recommend eating at the restaurants, so it's nice hot and crispy still. My favorite flavor is the lemon pepper with garlic. We also add garlic to everything we order; let it be the Buffalo wings, original, sweet chili, etc. I enjoy how the wings are saucy but still have a crunch to it. I do wish the wings were bigger, they are like small party size wings. We always order the family package and you can pick up to 3 different flavors, you can mix 2 different flavors together! My husband loves their breadsticks, I guess they are fluffy or something, but it's not necessary for me. I absolutely luuuuv spice, but the higher the spice level you go, it gets incredibly salty so stick to the mild if you don't want an uptick of sodium for the day. I've also gotten the pizza breadsticks (very filling) but it's pretty sub-par. The Combo with chicken strips and breadsticks would be my best 2nd choice.
