Went with a group around 1pm and we (~16 of us including kids) basically demolished a Tandoori Chicken pizza and a cauliflower Chicken pizza. We ordered 4 pizzas total. Even with enough leftover over of 4 pieces of pizza left to go. Both pizzas were loaded with good curry, good char on the crust, the waiter took our request for fresh cilantro on the side so we can add as much as we want. Insider tips: * Pizzas come mild by default tell your server if you want it spicy. * They've got a solid draft beer list (16oz pours, $6-8) if you didn't know this place doubles as Hidden Tap and Barrel * If we calculate by surface area to cost ration XL pizza is waaaay more affordable * Portions are huge, easily shareable we had leftovers with just 4 extra large pizzas for the table This is a Fun fusion spot with earthy, authentic, and savory Indian flavors. We were exciting to try this place since they have gluten free options! We love Indian food and we love pizza. Nearby curry pizza places don't offer the gluten free crust. The restaurant was mostly empty on a Saturday around lunch time. There was only one employee (server/hostess) inside the main seating area. She seemed very indifferent to our arrival but we got her attention and she pointed at a table we could go to. Didn't get up or lead us to it, just pointed. Ok. We had to get her attention to place an order, ask for more water, get the bill. There were 2 other occupied tables the whole time we were there. One other table had been occupied when we first arrived and after the patrons left, no one cleared the table. Even though the singular employee was sitting nearby. When ordering, my husband explained that two of us have a gluten allergy (celiacs) and checked that they could handle the allergy. She said yes. He reiterated the allergy after we ordered 2 gluten free pizzas. I understand that eating at a non-dedicated gluten free pizza restaurant has inherent risks. I eat at other establishments without issue. Whelp. Since eating here, I have had a symptom flare up for the past 3 days and it's the worst I've had in years. I don't think ANY precautions were taken, and in fact imagine they may have used regular flour on the tray before cooking the gluten free pizzas, as well as using contaminated utensils. I am sick and miserable and will be for a couple more days at least. I appreciate when restaurants offer gluten free and am hesitant to give a negative rating when I have a reaction, because I DO appreciate the gesture. However, in this case, I want to make sure people understand that "gluten free" at this restaurant is for people who are gluten free by preference, not allergy/celiacs. I wish the server had asked questions or been more clear about her lack of understanding about my and my child's needs. Will not be returning. The ambivalent attitude of the server was enough of a deterrent to keep us from coming back, but obviously being miserable from eating the food seals the deal. read more

The dough was a little too thick in my opinion and was on the borderline between roasted and undercooked, but it was still fine. Would have preferred just a little more time in the oven. The desi garlic bread was yums. The grapefruit paloma was bad; it straight up tasted like fizzy sweet vodka! When it's packed, it can be crowded and if you go during prime dinner time, there may be a bit of a wait. Service was a bit slow (you could tell they were understaffed). There were only 2 servers for the whole restaurant, and one of the servers was also the host. Overall, I would go here again if I'm ever craving Indian-style pizza. read more

Only critique is to have the pizza in a little longer to get more of a crunch on the pizza crust Tandoori Wings - (A Tier) - good depth of flavor with spices however it's a little too wet/saucy Curry Wings - (S Tier) - solid flavor of spice and savoriness with good crust on the wings. I have been wanting to try this place since I saw their posts on social media. I'll be honest I am new to Indian foods and cuisine in general and was not sure what to expect. We tried several of their dishes during our first visit! The lemon pepper wings were well seasoned and delicious. The desi garlic sticks - incredible! (However a touch spicy for us!!) For pizzas we got one traditional one which was chicken bacon supreme and it was so well baked and tasty! Pizza was ready at the projected time and service great to pick it up. The pizza though! I will start by saying I am not a chicken on pizza person UNLESS I'm at curry pizza house. They just know how to do it right. For the chicken 65, the chicken is moist and crispy even after being in the oven. The white sauce was amazing as well. The shahi Paneer was also amazing. The shahi sauce with the veggies and spices mixed together so well. The crust has a great chew and the spices are baked in making it a perfect last bite. Came here on a Tuesday night to celebrate a friend's birthday. The place was packed but our friends arrived before us and were able to get a table. We had a large group (between 10-12 at any given time) so a few of us stood seeing the table to accommodate as our table was for 8. I think they weren't expecting it to be as busy as it was since they had 2 people in the front with the manager checking in on the tables, asking how things were and if we had any recommendations. Our party was patient and did our best not to overwhelm the staff, so at times we went to the bar area to get the drinks so that they didn't have to bring them over. They were busy all night and there were often people coming in to pick up food and waiting for tables. We got a few pizzas which they let us do half and half of different orders, wings, and some potatoes. They don't skimp out on toppings and every piece was well covered. I had a curry chicken slice, a cauliflower and potato slice and some potatoes. All items were well spiced. If you're sensitive to heat, it was just on the edge of a bit too spicy. Our friend's daughter wasn't able to enjoy the potatoes and a few types of the pizzas as it was too spicy for her. For me, I really liked the flavors. Based on my friends opinions, they had a good beer selection as well. I also appreciated that they offered the option to have two flavors for the larger pizzas. Curry Pizza House has opened in the Mesa Shopping Center of Mira Mesa. It's affiliated with Hidden Tap & Barrel as they share the corner suite. The plaza was dense with two levels of businesses which meant the parking lot was frequently near capacity. The interior decor was both modern and whimsical with neon light fixtures and cartoon murals on the walls. The bar had four spots while a mix of countertop seating and tables could seat about three dozen customers. All the pizzas were made to order, and nothing was sold by the slice so keep that in mind. One menu page was dedicated to pizzas that were separated into two categories, Classic and Craft Curry. Of the nearly 20 varieties in the latter, I picked a small (10") Curry Chicken Masala. The toppings were curry sauce, cheese, diced tomatoes, red onions, bell peppers, curry chicken, and cilantro. It took about half an hour before my takeout item was ready. The kitchen did not skimp on the ingredients, and the product was well-assembled if you look at my photo. The curry sauce was mild while the rest of the toppings were balanced and flavorful. A bonus was that I received a 25% discount for my visit during their soft opening period. If you are a pizza lover with an adventurous palate, then I am certain you will find a pie from the 30 combinations (or build your own) that will suit your tastes. read more
