Hey everyone. Becareful with this place. This has happened so many times before here in this same location when you dont tip. I order a meal to go at the register and swipe my card and it ask you to give a tip, i put no tip unless im eating in the restuarant. Well i notice everytime i dont tip because its an order to go they always mess with my food. There was some chicken strips missing or sometimes its something different and all the breads didnt have any of that garlic butter they put on them. I know mistakes happen sometimes but this is everytime you dont tip only.I know this is 100% retaliation for not giving tip. Its always something wrong unless you give them a tip. And trust me its the current hispanic manager hes the one whos behind these actions. This never use to happen with other manager a few years. Watch out with this place they retaliate for not giving tip. This place use to great when it was a diferent manager. When it was a different manager many years go everything was always great. Now they messing with peoples order and food who dont tip. We shouldnt have tip unless your gonna be eating there inside the restaurant. With these type of actions i dont even doubt that they spit in your food as one time it looked like there was spit on the food. I dont recommend you eating here. Until theres new management. Lived in Mira mesa my whole life and this place never disappoints. Prices have gone up everywhere but when I'm done eating here I feel like I got my moneys worth. Anyone know why they don't answer their phone anymore? The one order I always get is not on their online menu, so I always order it on the phone. Their phone just directs you to the online ordering now. And on a side note.. why did they choose to no longer show sports on TV? If I have to come in person to make an order because you don't pick up the phone, it would be nice to at least see the Padres game on. The workers at this location are always so nice, helpful, and happy. The food is absolutely to DIE FOR. Me and my family are big foodies and tried this place for the first time just over a month ago. Usually we spend our time eating by yapping with eachother about our day, but not this time. We were dead silent in absolute awe over the flavors of our wings. You can tell they always are making their items fresh. We have since purchased from here more times than we should, and despite the lbs gained, I feel as though the happiness in our stomachs compensate. The whole time I was chowing down on these, I repeatedly said, "so good so good so good". The crisp. The bold flavors. The juicy meat. Y'all these wings were truly epic. All of the flavors were YUM but my favorites were sweet chili and lemon pepper. The sweet chili at first just tasted sweet but your tongue will feel it after a few of those. They have a self-serve soda machine and also offer bottled drinks behind the registers. For the 3 of us, we ordered their 24 piece wings with breadsticks to share with half of the chicken as lemon pepper and the other half original buffalo flavor. First, the breadsticks were nice and warm. I think it had a little garlic butter sauce on top of it too and it went well with our ranch dipping sauce. There are times when I just crave chicken and not just any chicken. I want it smothered in Epic Wing sauce dipped in ranch with a carb loaded bread stick to soak up the sauce. I prefer to get only the mild sauce, I've tried medium and the higher up you go the more vinegar they put into the sauce. It's not necessarily spicier which is disappointing. You cannot go wrong with mild and add your own spice in at home. The 8 piece tender meal deal is the best it comes with 4 garlic breadsticks and two bags of carrots/celery. Your choices of dipping sauce is limited to ranch or blue cheese. You can opt just for the tenders and no meal. I prefer tenders over wings. I don't the like skin on the wings and dealing with bones. I think you get more meat with the tenders. We usually call in ahead for pick up. No indoor or outdoor dining at this location. Order comes out pretty quick 15-20 minutes depending on how busy they are at the time. Overall the service has been good here and food is good. Just don't go for the spicier sauces unless you like vinegar. read more

You can get a buffalo sauce at different levels of spice as well as several BBQ flavors. Tried the boneless wings since I had to go back to work afterwards. Wings were not huge, 5 pieces was way short of the full mark. The sauce was okay, something was missing from the buffalo sauce. It was sort of soulless. The honey BBQ was okay but also nothing special. I'm not a huge fan of buffalo wild wings but it feels like the sauces there are better. Which the bread was good but just so much of it. I really like their blue cheese and ranch dressing. It's not like other places where they just add blue cheese to the ranch. This one was thicker. I'll be honest. I began this review thinking I would rate it 4 stars. But as I sat pondering why I would give it 4 stars I realized there was no reason. 5 stars was my only real option. I should clarify. My insanely hot girlfriend is a yelper. She's part of the yelp SWAT team. She's elite. Anyway, the best rating you'll get out of her is a 4, and the truth is I look up to her. I'm sure Epic Wings isn't perfect. I cant imagine why, but im sure they're not. That really doesn't matter tho, my experiences here have always been on point and worthy of 5 stars. My one gripe is the amount of vinegar in the hot sauce. I eat very hot food. I used to live in asia and I regularly tested my intestinal tract on soul melting peppers and sauce made in the jungle by some ancient ninja clan. Ill tell you this, they know how to make food tasty as hell, and spicy as F@$% without pouring vinegar all over the place. If you'd like to burn your soul, eat some Lao food. Not epic wings. But I digress. Epic Wings are not Lao spicy or Korean spicy. So don't come here looking for that. They are nguoi my trang people spicy. Which is ok. And the sauce tastes good. No matter what else, their sauces are legit good. Also the bread sticks are those soft doughy buttery bread sticks that make you question existence and regret not doing better in college bread sticks. Use those to clean up the tray after you eat the chicken wings. I've been to the WNT in Kearny Mesa once before but I've already forgotten my experience there. I went with my friend to pickup the food and the place looked pretty packed for a Saturday evening. My friend ordered us 48 wings : Original BBQ, Honey BBQ and Lemon Pepper, 16 breadsticks, and also sides of carrots and celery. We were hungry!!! I pigged out on the Honey BBQ wings with ranch dip! Mmm super good! Their breadstick were bomb! It reminds me a lot of the breadsticks they have at Pat & Oscar's (O's American Kitchen). I want the recipe for it! Damn I shouldn't have eaten so much but I enjoyed it LOL They gave a lot of ranch dipping sauce too! Most wing places will only give you a couple of the small dip containers but here it's larger and they give you several to take home! My buddy called me up for lunch today and we decided to drop into the well-spoken Wings N Things for what else but some buffalo wings. Unfortunately what we got were tiny, extremely dry, overpriced Costco or Cisco fast food. We split the 16 piece combo meal which came with 6 bread sticks. The bread sticks were actually pretty good and reminded me of the stuff that Pat & Oscar's is famous for. The wings however, were a major disappointment. Seasoned with medium spicy sauce, the wings were very small and resembled what you might find in the Costco freezer section. They did not taste fresh at all and seemed to be double fried for that extra dry texture. At about a dollar per wing, I couldn't help be feel just a little ripped off. Even the carrot sticks were curling over with age and the celery seemed to have been pulled from a child's brown bag lunch. There are dozens of good wing joints in San Diego but Wings N Things is definitely not one of them. I'm not sure how the place fills up during lunch because neither the food nor value is there. With a basic meal of 5 tiny wings costing $5, it's not exactly the deal of the century. I would definitely opt for wings elsewhere, but I might come back for a bread sticks or two. This location is much easier to access and park in than the Convoy location. My favorite flavor is the Lemon Pepper wings.
